Chic modern rooms, excellent central location near trains, subway, buses, and airport shuttle. Lots of restaurants nearby. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. Rooms were equipped with the essentials. A kettle is supplied. No carpets, so very clean. Overall, an excellent base to tour Toulouse.

The only thing missing from this hotel was a refrigerator.

There is so much to do around and near the hotel, and it is very convenient to the walkable parts of the city. Good location with metro and gar near enough, and the hotel was nice and clean and well organized. Desk staff can easily speak English but allowed me to check in and out in French so i could practice and were patient and clear which i appreciate. I would stay there again.

Good place for the price.

The hotel room was nice, though a little tight. Its in the heart of a lot of the sites and everything is walking distance which is good for the daytime tourist, however it is a double edged sword as many people will be talking loudly while drunk when passing the hotel making it less than ideal for a light sleeper.

The staff were curteous and showed us to the room and explained briefly about the city which was nice and will always be appreciated by myself.

Hotel Opinion.

I don’t know your clientele, but most foreign hotels I stay at have some TV channels in English.

I think you need to boost the technology in the room. Perhaps USB ports for phone charge. I had trouble with WiFi all week and had to shut it off. When it gave me access, I couldn’t download anything. I have unlimited data with AT&T but I imagine some people don’t.

Located at one of the busiest cross-junction in Toulouse and next to a night club, it is noisy till the wee hours of the morning especially on weekends. On the last day before leaving (Friday), the only lift was unserviceable and can't be fixed over the weekend. Notice shows it will only be fixed by Monday!. On check-out (Saturday), we all have to carry out baggage down six floors. The rooms are not spacious and quite cramp too.

Central location can be loud

Great hotel for the price. The location is central and made getting around town easy. Parking was in the adjacent garage and was reasonable. The rooms are small and boutique. I would have really appreciated a hook or something to hang the towel on. Not much storage so we didn’t bother to unpack. The location is quite noisy on busy weekend nights as there are lots of clubs and lounges attracting the young crowd. Earplugs are highly recommended if you are wanting to sleep. The front desk staff were helpful and gave recommendations.

Very noisy area in the centre of town, so be aware of this before you book, though I would recommend the hotel overall.

This is a 3 star hotel, not 4 star.

The location is great since two subway station near by. The room is too small. For business, it is a must to have a comfortable table and chair. This is definitely a 3 star or less star hotel.

Room was small with no comfortable seating but otherwise well equipped ( e.g. Tea and coffee making facility). Beds were soft and slightly saggy ( perhaps because this was the only option for sitting ). The shower area was very compact. However, the situation close to the metro station meant lots of noisy drunks at 2 am.

Walking distance to train station, Metro station right outside and bus stops round the corner. Easy walking distance to city centre for restaurants, shops and sights.

Room smallish but with good sized bed. Could do with a bit more storage space for clothes if you are staying more than a day or two. Tea/coffee making facilities in the room. One of the few hotels I've stayed in where the air-con controls actually work!

My only criticism is that the bathroom area was small and lacked privacy. The toilet had a sliding door but the washbasin and shower area was visible from the open side and through the glass screen between it and the main part of the room.

Staff were pleasant.

We didn't eat in the hotel - only breakfast and afternoon tea available anyway I think. The breakfast buffet looked good but seemed pricey at €18 per person.

The staff is very friendly and excited to help you in any way possible. I thought, because of the location, the room would be noisy and difficult to sleep, but that was not the case at all. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were surprisingly spacious, the breakfast was very good, and you can't beat the proximity to everything. I absolutely recommend this hotel!

The neighborhood was great location. However, it is near place Capitole which is what we wanted. The street noise is a little loud with the active city life but you need to accept that for such a great location.
The beautiful elements of Toulouse are all in walking distance

Great location, friendly staff, but hard to work

This was my first visit to Citiz and to Toulouse, on a business trip. The location is ideal for getting around town and walking through and around the Old City after hours - very charming and great staff. When we booked we thought there was some type of fitness room but there isn't. The real issue though is the rooms are so small there isn't even room for the smallest of desks (just a hospital tray over the bed?) and only one flimsy chair in one corner. Even the shower (which is a single standing stall with sliding door) doesn't even have a small shelf where you can put the shampoo and gel - you have to leave it on the floor and figure it out. No washcloth for the gel either. Internet was free but the system doesn't remember anyone so every time you open up your notebook, you have to re-enter all the authentication again. So while it is in a great location and as I said super friendly and helpful staff, I do not think I will try it again.

Good downtown location, but noisy neighbourhood

For a European hotel, the size of the room was great, similar to most North-American hotels. Room was clean, nice modern bathroom with hot water, good Wi-Fi and location was great. Just next to a metro station and most of the attractions were at walking distance. Train station was only a 10 minutes walk away.
My bedroom was at a corner of a two busy streets, one with traffic the other with bars and unfortunately it was noisy.
Also, the bed mattress sank in the middle. Breakfast was also expensive (18 euros)

Nice hotel, central location but oh the noise.

I booked this hotel without knowing much about Toulouse.I saw some of the adverse comments before booking but decided to give it a go. Advantages are the central location (5-10 minute walk to the Capitol area). The airport bus stops right outside. Hotel itself is modern inside. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable although the design of bathroom was a odd with very little privacy, open plan so no locking door. BUT the big downside is the noise not only from the traffic (on the corner of two main roads) but from people visiting the very popular night club at the rear of the hotel. We were on the top floor but it made little difference. Breakfast wasn't bad. Reasonable continental style slection but a bit pricey at 18 Euros per person.

The room was great. i really liked the bathroom/shower concept. It was cosy and close to a lot of great places. The one thing I like a bit less was the bed. It was very nice, but much too soft for my taste and not as comfortable as I would have liked, but everything else was spot on.

We spent a 14 day touring holiday and used this as an in-transit overnight. However really impressed by the location, Toulouse itself and this was by far the best breakfast in terms of quality and choice that we experienced in all 14 days across France. Will definitely make a point of returning to the city and this hotel as a destination to spend more time exploring from this ideal base.

Nice, modern and clean hotel near Touristic Center

Arriving from the Airport is very convenient. The airport-downtown shuttle bus stops in front of the hotel (station Jean Jaures). So it is a very easy access for only 5 euros and around 15 minutes drive. The hotel is situated at the start of a major pedestrian street that goes to the old city and to main attractions. Very nice restaurants and cafe all around with local Toulouse food and also a Mc Donald and an all American bar nearby. In front of hotel is the city tour bus terminal if you want to take a quick tour of the city. But unlike other cities where I recommend, Toulouse is very accessible by feet and the hotel is perfectly located. Rooms are clean, modern, nice and big compared to other European hotels.

Unfortunately a mistake in the booking date meant we had to pay twice for our room at this hotel. The hotel did not not attempt to contact us to see why we hadn't checked in and in fact charged us full rate for the two days of the booking. \"You didn't phone to cancel\" was their reasoning. My response was that while I could accept that for the first day, they clearly knew I wasn't there for the second day and could have accepted that as 24 hours notice, especially as they had made no attempt to contact me. No luck, if I wanted to stay there I had to pay again.
The room turned out to be small, we had two suitcases but could only have one open at a time. The shower was the tiniest I have ever seen, even by european standards.
Having said that, the hotel is very well located with a parking house close by.

We spent 7 nights here. Location was perfect. The room was comfortable with very efficient and quiet air conditioning. 6th floor superior room location was very quiet. Everything was newer and functional and allowed us to both pursue our business meetings and sightsee around the city center with a minimum of stress.

More like a traveller’s motel than a 4 star hotel. Room and the hotel are clean and modern BUT the rooms are very small. Bathroom was a wet room and so the floor was soaking after showering. Only services offered were the room mini bar and breakfast which was very expensive for what it was. Anything else that you require necessitates stepping out of the front door. Will definately check availability for other local hotels next time before returning to this establishment.

OK but a few things marred our stay....

The hotel itself is ok with a very modern look however the rooms are small and we couldn't have a shower without flooding the bathroom! My gripe however is that one member of staff was extremely rude and on the saturday the maid came in at 8.00am despite a do not disturb on the door and then didn't bother to clean the room later! Location is good though and we may have just been unlucky. Other staff members were quite pleasant. 18 euro for a typical continental breakfast was a bit steep in my opinion.

This was a try, and a am happy I stopped by. Very well located, very clean and comfortable, modern and easy doing. To be recommended. The only bad grade refers to the breakfast : somewhat expensive for what it is and should be improved (no scrambled eggs seen, nor hot dishes, no French bread \"baguette\" like, no salted butter, small choice of ham and cheese) invisible attendants except for room number inquiry)

Very conveniently located near the Jean Jaures Parking Garage. The only real problems were that there does not appear to be anything tio hang things on in the room we had (hooks etc,) and the breakfast, although good was very expensive (18euros each, which is outrageous).

Be wary of staff, not the hotel

The hotel itself is very nice with the new renovations. Check-in was quick and easy, the room well accommodated. I did notice underneath the bed was far from clean. Breakfast at €18 for self service and hawk-like attendants watching you did not look like a pleasant experience. Much easier, tastier, and less expensive to go out (as we did). Not exactly thrilled with the desk staff. We're obviously American (we at least attempted French) and were kind with the front desk, but despite the concierge speaking flawless English, we got nothing but contemptuous ogling from him and everyone else for the next 3 days. As a customer paying top dollar, this was beyond rude for having given no offense. However, you simply can't beat the location and the surrounding shops and their keepers are wonderfully accommodating, even to those of limited vocabulary.

Convenient and good value

Positive: Very convenient location in the center of Toulouse. 2 subway lines and several bus lines at the front door, the main train station within walking distance. LOTS of interesting restaurants and bistros in the immediate vicinity, as well as most of the wonderful cathedrals and other historic monuments.

My room on the 6th floor had been refurbished recently, all modern, clean and functional.

Negative: very soft matress and a matress pad of synthetic material which made for sweaty sleep. Soundproofing could be better.

A Pleasant stay in Toulouse

Staff very helpful. We had to ask about the lights which worked with the room key. Common in Europe but not in US. On the bus stop from the airport. Convenient to the old city and the Metro. The rooms looked recently remodeled.

Citiz Hotel Toulouse

Very clean and tidy hotel with warm helpful staff. However, rooms are extremely small with virtually no room for anything except a double bed. Very limited storage area for clothing (3 coat hangers), no table, no chair, no tea/coffee.

Great hotel.

The hotel is in the very center of the city, close to every monument, cathedral and museum that you need to see in Toulouse. It is also close to restaraunts, Galeries Lafayette and Monoprix. Metro station is right next to the hotel. The hotel and our room were super clean and modern-looking. I loved it! Front desk staff is great and speaks good English! I will stay there again.
