One of the best hotel for the price around the Matabiau station area. The insonorisation was very good even though I was on the first floor with a window directly on the street. The room (Twin Room) was bigger (like way bigger) than expected. The staff was super nice at our arrival and the room was very clean.

The breakfast is quite cheap, 4.5 euros for an express breakfast which is good value.

The only tiny negative is that the mattresses were a bit stiff for my taste. I still felt well rested in the end and would come back anytime i'm in Toulouse

I booked a larger bed with a twin bed, it turned out to be a one larger bed with a sofa bed. They wouldn’t change it till the second night to split the larger bed into two twin beds. The safe needs a pair of keys to operate. No filtered water. There is no ventilation for the bathroom. It got very damped and the air was stagnant after used. Comparing the second hotel we stayed next street within same price range, I got to give it a 3 out of 5 at most.

Keep looking....you'll find better

There was an big event going on in Toulouse and the hotel staff tried a "bait and switch" We paid for a medium room and were given a basic. We had to go to the front desk and explain that we were given the wrong tier of room. They were quick to rectify it, but I can't help fell that it was intentional. The room was dirty and dark, the bathroom was awful with tiles literally falling off the wall and put back in place with caulk. The HVAC system did not work and the room got stuffy very quickly. The room we had a window but not to the outside, it was towards the common atrium so, there was no way to get any air movement in the room. The breakfast was OK and parking was limited. We were really disappointed. Do not go by the pictures.

The layout of the rooms in this hotel is lovely and quaint. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offering is good and varied. The location is excellent: the hotel is very close to the train station, the coach station and the shuttle bus to the airport, as well as only a 15 mins walk to the main square in the city centre. I had a very pleasant stay here whilst in Toulouse for a few days.

I chose this hotel because it was old and historic. In it's 175 years it has been updated, yet they showed respect for its history. Some ancient beams are still exposed. The place is decorated with some furniture and artifacts from its past. I love that.
I was grateful for the elevator, a TV, a hair dryer and a relatively spacious and modern room.
They serve a wonderful breakfast! Everything you could want. Fresh ground coffee, fresh squeezed OJ. Nice fruit, breads, yogurt, meat and eggs.
The location is very close to the train station, and every day I was able to walk to the Capitole and environs to explore this amazing historic and beautiful city on foot. But there are a couple Metro stations nearby if you need them, which I did on occasion. In fact there is a bus stop in front of the train station where you can pick up a bus to the airport.
The hotel will provide a very helpful map!
The Grand Hotel d'Orleans is a great place to stay!

It is a very well located hotel, close to the city center and the train station. We used the paid parking, which was very convenient. The room was a bit smelly and outdated. The bed had a couple of bedbugs in it, which made us wary of sleeping there, but that was it. It is an old building, so you can expect this kind of things.

The hotel itself is really lovely. I really liked the layout inside. The room was clean and quiet. We slept really well. We had messaged ahead asking for a car parking space to be reserved and that we would be bringing our dog. Neither of these things were any trouble and we happily paid the extra fee for these when we arrived along with the tax.
The only downside was that there were quite a few people outside begging and coming up to you asking for money. It made me feel very uncomfortable. This is absolutely not the fault of the hotel however.

Perfecty okay hotel near thebtrain station. Rooms are very utilitarian with somewhat stark and unimaginative decor. Bathrooms really not great.

Staff is very friendly and helpful, really terrific.

Despite saying they have gluten-free options for Breakfast, they really don't. They were kind enough to refund the Breakfast fee.

The hotel is very central (across from train station ) and 5 mns walk from downtown .
I stayed to many hotel in Toulouse . My favorite where I return regularly . No. I don’t use airbandb any more .

Lovely classy old hotel with friendly service

This is a lovely hotel it is decorated with velvety and linens in sumptuous jewel like colours. The public parts are very grand and the staff particularly helpful and charming. We enjoyed the breakfast very much too. The room was smallish but clean and had a lovely view of the square and a comfy bed. Would recommend its was a really lovely experience and was inexpensive. The town is enchanting.

We walked everywhere we wanted to go and simply needed to wheel our bags across the street to the train station. For this occasion with kids and bags it was just right for us.

I chose this hotel based on its proximity to the train station (Gare Matabiu). I had just dropped off my rental car and was leaving the next morning on the TGV for Paris. It was perfect. It's an old hotel with a history apparently dating back to the 1800s. But the staff was very welcoming and the room small but comfortable and clean - typical for hotels of this class and price range. I wanted to keep my costs down this trip so I had no problem. And breakfast was superb with again very friendly staff and a nice selection of fruit, meats, cheeses, breads, etc. It was a nice and quick way to start the day and my journey. I'll stay here again.

A Gem in a Sketchy Neighborhood

The hotel itself was just great, especially for the price. Room was very comfortable and quiet with amenities -- A/C, hair dryer, a safe, luggage rack, comfortable desk chair, roomy bathroom. The neighborhood is filled with people, mostly men, drinking all the day long, and it smells like urine. The street at night seems to be used for excrement as well. Toulouse's solution seems to be to send out the street washers and garbage collectors every morning before 6 AM, which certainly helps, but... I will say I did not feel unsafe, the characters seemed pretty harmless, and most of them were gone by 9 PM or so, so walking back to the hotel at night was not an issue. The street one block over was just fine for walking in and out of the downtown, which was a 10-15 minute walk. The hotel restaurant was quite good, and there's a great enclosed patio on the ground floor as well as an open reading room on the first floor. I enjoyed the stay.

Great location

It's a an old classical hotel, located right in the center of Toulouse. It's not the best street in town, but it has metro, but and trains nearby. It's not fancy or too comfortable or beautiful, but, if you're not too demanding, it is OK for a city visit.

No me ha gustado mucho. Nos dieron una habitación antigua y donde no funcionaba el aire acondicionado. Y lo advertí. Nos tuvieron que cambiar a mitad de la noche porque no se podía estar allí. Éramos tres y por cierto la tercera cama no estaba hecha. No volveré a ir a ese hotel. Todavía espero que me den factura.

Un hôtel atypique plein de charme

Personnel particulièrement avenant et facilitateur. Une restauration faite avec beaucoup de gout qui confère à cet hôtel un charme tout particulier avec ce patio central qui donne l'impression d'être en vacances même si on y loge pour le travail ! Une excellente adresse à Toulouse, proche de toute commodités et de la gare en particulier.

Hôtel très bien situé à proximité de la gare. J'ai pu avoir ma chambre 1h plus tôt que prévu donc c'était top. Equipe très aimable. Télé sur laquelle on peut chromecaster. Baignoire. Une bouteille d'eau en verre. Intérieur de l'hôtel joli.

Pour les bémols : chambre petite et mal isolée par rapport aux autres chambres et le grand hall de l'étage : réveillée vers 6h à cause du bruit :(

Hotel très bien placé a 800 m du capitole en face de la gare. Proche du canal du midi pour faire une balade en vélo. Stationnement payant proposé par l'hôtel à 15 euros nous le conseillons car possibilité de laisser la voiture même le jour du départ. Petit déjeuner au top avec produits locaux et bio. A recommander sans aucune hésitation
