We had an overnight stay so we launch ourselves on a coach at 6.30am the next morning. Very helpful staff. We ate atheor restaurant. This was most satisfying as we needed a plain meal.

If you want to be close to the train station this is perfect. I looked out over the main square in front of the station. If you open the windows it is noisy but with them closed its fine. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean

This is classed as a three star but the room does not warrant this. Very basic with only two large towels - no hand towel, basic amenities, paper cups.
However breakfast is good.
Major draw is the position opposite the station.

The only selling point for this hotel is their proximity to the train station which is just across the street. Otherwise, building is old and run down.

(1) rooms have NO air conditioning
(2) carpet is dirty
(3) place smells
(4) shower water spills into the outside of the bath are because there’s no door to keep water in

Great location across from the train station if you're traveling by train. Our room's floor did not seemed leveled. The head of the bed sloped lower than the foot of the bed which gave a dizzying effect. We were there for 1 night so we just tolerated it. Great breakfast.

Perfect hotel location (see photo) for easy access to TGV next morning and jaunt to Paris. Secure parking (provided by AFFIA) in structure adjacent to station and TGV tracks. Upon return, get in car and go home, just that easy!

Perfect place to get to and from the airport on the fly bus and opposite the main train and bus station. Lovely staff, great breakfast. Slept well in a comfortable bed, shower great, TV great and little bar downstairs perfect for a late night quiet drink. I will return.

We stayed for 1 night before transferring to the Pyrenees, and on the return journey stayed for 3 night's to explore Toulouse before flying home. We chose the hotel due to its proximity to the train station. It was an excellent choice. The staff were welcoming and helpful throughout both stays. We could not have done without them on the first day due to a problem with the airport but the assistance given was amazing. The restaurant was excellent, we ate here 3 times during our stay and there was a very good breakfast buffet. Our rooms were clean and comfortable and we were very pleased to find air-conditioning due to the soaring temperatures. The walk to the centre of town and the various museums we visited was pleasant and well signposted.

This is a clean, quiet place to sleep, but don't expect more than the bare minimum of towels, pillows, and other amenities. It could not be more convenient to the train station. I can't speak to the breakfast on offer because, for less than the 25€ up-charge, there are many other options in the neighborhood.

The young men at the desk were very helpful. The hotel is somewhat like staying at a hostel. No refridgerator, thin towels, borderline cleanliness. A/C was good and shower was good. Beds were small and had pads that continued to slide about. Very convenient to train station.

Pros: Hotel is very convenient across the street from the main train station. Staff is very friendly and really helpful, and they all seem to be speak English just fine. About a 10-15 min walk to city center.

Cons: My gosh, the room carpet is so filthy, do ever clean the carpet??? Kinda of was grossed out by this….In general, basic room, nothing special. Area near the hotel is kinda of sketchy, the receptionist even advised me to walk a few blocks further down the hotel in to a main traffic st to go to city center, bc the street where the hotel is located there are a lot of crackheads and drunks at night, as 2 female travelers I appreciated the advice.

The room has no hand towels, Kleenex. The toilet paper are terrible. It tears easily. Has only one pillow in each bed. The room wall and the carpet is absolutely horrendous looking. It looks dirty. Some of the staff were very nice. Staff named Tom was absolutely very helpful.

We were on a short visit to look at properties in the area to buy and this Ibis was very convenient.
We landed at Toulouse airport and got a €9 shuttle bus to the station and the hotel is on the square.

I decided to boycott Ibis hotel chain after my terrible experience at Ibis budget in Castelnaudary where the bed was was made for dolls but no adult men .the bed was as large as my suitcase . Bed so small that I fell out it several times during the nite and did not sleep !!
I will no longer patronize Ibis !
I cancelled
my reservation for Ibis Toulouse Marabiau and found a better hotel

An excellent basic hotel. Near to station yet a safe and accessible walk to the city centre. A few homeless on the street similar to any train station area in any city but as a mum with my daughter I felt safe. Clean beds and bathroom good air conditioning. No frills eg no coffee maker but excellent staff who not only knew the best restaurants for advice but helped when I forgot my plug adapters I didn’t eat here but great bread shops near by offering a croissant and coffee for a few euros. Would make this my base for my next stay

Wonderful, helpful staff. Decent breakfast & bar that did not gouge on prices of wine. Convenient location. Overall good, but the neighborhood restaurant crowd was very noisy, and didn’t wind down til almost 2am. Carpet needs replaced. Would stay again because of location.

Nice hotel but noisy works outside

The area outside the train station, directly in front of the hotel, is currently being redevolped. On our first night diggers and drillers operated most of the night with the noise very loud. The hotel was full so no opportunity to move rooms and to be honest considering more than half of the rooms face on to the street I'm not sure much difference would have been made. The hotel staff seemed unable to confirm how many nights the work would take and how long the disruption would last during the night. Otherwise the hotel was nice, little bar inside, 10mins walk from the main square in Toulouse. But we had the opportunity to stay in the Ibis in the main square for the same price but chose the train station for convenience as we had an early morning flight, if you have the same opportunity opt for the centre until the works at the train station are complete for a peaceful nights sleep.

The hotel is just in front of Gare Matabiau train station..very convenient for us as we got to Toulouse by train from Lourdes. You can check in early for a small fee👍 which was ok. Happy friendly place, Stephanie was very helpful!! Room good size and quite. Shops and restaurants just around the corner. Stayed overnight ... definitely will stay in Ibis Gare Matabiau again if we come back to Toulouse!!😊

OK Stay - Good value

This hotel did the trick for our stay. Conveniently located across the street from the main SNCF railway station. It's also a short walk to the city core and the further Garon River area. The free breakfast was enjoyable, but required some better attention when it came to replenishment.

Although this location worked for us, we want to highlight that the surrounding area is left to be desired. We hope that the future revitalization will make it feel more inviting. There is always the opportunity to stay at the other Ibis in the Capitole area, which we look forward to trying next time.

Directly opposite the railway station, the hotel is of the usual ibis quality ie functional but clean and welcoming. The staff here were considerate and friendly, the bed was large and comfortable and the room facilities adequate. We had no time to take breakfast but the bar area where we had coffee was fine.

Fantastic location right opposite the train station which was exactly what I needed. Friendly staff.
Wifi is unsecured (contrary to what I was told by Reception staff) and air conditioning is not available in winter despite being advertised as a feature of my room. So doesn’t seem honest/accurate. The only way to get fresh air is to open a window. This is not safe.
Overall a fair price for a very good location and good sleep.
