The staff were very helpful and courteous. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the rooms were very clean, comfortable and modern. Definitely recommend the hotel for a location near the city centre and close to transit.

The suites are very inconsistent in terms of size and decor. Initially, we were given a tiny white box room 502, which is allegedly one of the suites. Luckily, this was changed to a different room, which is shown on their website as a suite. The furniture is pretty old and decor needs upgrading. Housekeeping was hit and miss, we didn’t have any on the third night, even tho we left the room quite early. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and genuinely tried to help with the issues we had.

Salut Hotel de Brienne!

Everyone was most helpful at the Hotel and they helped us with some problems we had while staying there. They even contacted us afterwards to give us some extra information about a bag we had stolen in town.
I loved their quirky rooms and little balconies.

First Visit to Toulouse

Coffee for guests was the most expensive on our 10 week trip to Europe and not very good. Room was very hot - turned heat down and while we were gone for the day housekeeping turned it back up - thank goodness for the window. Great location. Nice parking. Clean room. Nice shower.

Hotel is well-located, and as advertised. The free welcome drink was a nice touch. Front desk staff super helpful and friendly (thank you). Thought it was a little cheeky to charge for parking and on check out, I was asked to pay 35 Euros for a dinner I didn't have in the bar - not sure what happened there, but it was all resolved easily.

A good hotel

This is a hotel that aims to be cool and current. It is in a convenient location, not too far from the main places of interest. The staff are very friendly and the neighbourhood is good. Our room was a little small, but perfectly organised. A good place to stay if you prefer being a little out of the very centre of Toulouse.

Not a four star hotel - Feels rather run down

The hotel is well positioned, a 15 minute walk to the centre and close to a number of nice bars and restaurants.

We had booked a junior suite, located on the top floor overlooking the city and the Basilique Saint-Sernin. The hotel is listed as possessing four stars, however in its current condition, it just about manages three.

Upon arriving at our room, we noticed only one glass on the desk beneath the TV. We soon located the other one which was on the balcony, full of cigaret ends and a liquid of some kind. It smelt really bad and we called reception who eventually, after being chased a second time, sent someone to deal with it.

Cleanliness really was an issue with cobwebs along the ceiling of the loo, which is located separately from the shower room, the latter smelling heavily of damp due to poor ventilation. The balcony safety rail was hanging off and the plaster on the balcony wall was falling away.

The room layout also left something to be desired with the TV mounted on the wall in such a way that it was not visible from the bed.

This hotel has seen better days and despite a cool, quirky interior on the ground floor, it falls short on multiple counts. We would not stay here again.

Boutique hotel in walking distance from Capitole.

This boutique hotel is located near the Canal de Brienne, a 20 minute walk away from the Capitole. It was a one minute walk to the Carrefour Express and 2 minutes to the excellent Restaurant Le Chevillard which was recommended by the front desk.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean but rather small with dark decor. It was a back room and very quiet. The breakfast was good. If you come by car I recommend you park just before reaching the front door to unload, as their car park is before the entrance and on a one way street. The descent to the locked car park is very narrow and the car park tiny. However it is safe.

A very trendy boutique hotel with some strange decorative touches. Our junior suite was spacious and we particularly enjoyed the little terrace.

The desk staff actually look up if you \"Bonjour\" them, otherwise there is no interaction.

There is a huge dining room that didn't seem to get used unless you cough up €15 for breakfast. None of the common areas seemed very welcoming and were always empty.

The location is mostly residential. There seemed to be quite a few restaurants around, but they were never open and we actually had to go to McDonald's for coffee. There were lots of subway and bus stops as well as a very convenient bus to the airport a couple of blocks away.

Very dissapointed with the service provided.Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for a very special occasion and it turned into a not nice experience. There wasn't hot water with we have not been informed or apologised about, no air conditioning, stuff at the reception weren't friendly. I don't think it was fair paying for the service I didn't get unfortunately I will not be going back.

This is not a 4* hotel

Hotel is not operating as a 4*. Upon check in I was given the access card for my room but the room was occupied so it was quite a surprise to walk in and be able to access other guests belongings (if I was motivated to). I made it clear at check in that I was a strict vegan and asked if there was any breakfast suitable. The muesli has chocolate chips and I only had a small bowl of fruit on two days. At check out this morning the same person (the guy) who checked me into the occupied room was very typical French and very arrogant. I questioned why I could not be charged for a continental breakfast instead of buffet and he said you had fruit and the buffet was available so we charge you for the buffet. When I said nothing else was available he responded \"I am not interested in having this conversation with you, you had the buffet and will be charged for the buffet'. Very arrogant and zero customer service skills. Btw, the ladies working at the front desk were superb and had great customer service skills.

A lovely place to stay in a lovely city. Convenient and yet tucked away on a shaded avenue near the charming Canal de Brienne. The staff is gracious and top-notch.

A colleague and I looked for dinner the first night and ended up having cassoulet on the hotel patio, where we were truly pampered. And although it was fiendishly hot and A/C was failing elsewhere, I could always cool off at the Hotel de Brienne.

The hotel itself is modern and very clean, having some nice room features and a pleasant bar and eating area. The buffet breakfast was quite good. However it is situated on a busy thoroughfare and although the soundproofing from the road is good, if you want to open a window it is very noisy. You can walk in about 10 minutes to the centre of the old town. We just weren't very taken with Perpignan so probably feel a bit negative about the hotel too. If you know the town and just need somewhere to stay it's fine. Personally I would choose a different destination!

Clean hotel .Location is not central. Disappointing and small hotel bar with little drink choice. The menu for room service/bar food was very poor: choice of pizza/ re-heated frozen dishes. Rooms were pretty chilly.
The hotel garage charges 15e a day and parking outside makes you feed the meter every 2 hours in the day time.

Hotel has parking and helpful staff. Our room had a lamp not working and hot water went everywhere when using a cracked cup for a tea. Room changed. Lack of towel in this room and again the lamp not working. Fire alarm went off, reason unknown, one time, only for same thing to happen again shortly afterwards. We were then told it would not happen again as alarm was being turned off!! What if a genuine alarm was needed?
Breakfast 'express', was adequate, served by a nice girl one morning and a grumpy woman the next day. Room could have been cleaner. Nice hotel but lack of attention to detail prevents me rating higher.

The room is not a four star hotel room. It's the size of a budget hotel room with the shower in the room with glass casing. Nothing about it is 4 star. Onsite parking is the only plus but there must be comparable if not better 3 star hotels closer to the city center.

Good choice for Toulouse if you have a car. Free parking is very squeezed but well placed for a quick getaway to the airport . The rooms are comfortable with a small bar fridge and premium bedding.
Location is a little out of the way for walking to sites and cafes.

Hotel is located in walking distance to city center, about 15-20 minutes. The buffet style breakfast is excellent. There is a great restaurant on the same street, turn left leaving the hotel. The beef tartare is highly recommended. Hotel staff and manager are very helpful, pleasant and will give you a great advice.

OK, but not great for the price

The hotel was nice and only a short walk from the city centre, so overall we were pleased. However, we paid quite a lot of money for a 'premium suite' and didn't really feel it was worth it. While we undoubtedly had extra space, the way the room was set out, we didn't really feel the benefit. Also, the bathroom isn't a separate room, but rather a glass box within the bedroom, which I didn't like at all. Still, the bed was comfy and we did have a little balcony area, so all in all, a good hotel, but an overpriced one.

I needed a hotel close to the Palais des Sports and this one came up as being reasonably priced and accessible by aeroport bus as well as the metro. It is close to a City (express) Carrefour supermarket and within easy walking distance of the city centre and the Centre de Congress.

The staff were pleasant, helpful and spoke good English. Breakfast at €14.00 was more than adequate, and my room was well-equipped.

I really have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

Short stay in Toulouse

We chose the hotel mainly because of it's private parking which was good. The hotel staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was a Premium Suite which was spacious. Did not like the decor very much, especially the bizarre carpet which appeared to have been spray painted! The room was also rather dark, otherwise the facilities were OK. Internet access was excellent and fast. We disagree about the time to walk into central Toulouse, the hotel website and the reception staff maintain it is only a 15 minute walk. we would say it is a 25 minute walk to the centre despite us being active walkers.

The toilet in the room stunk of urine and even though I told the lady cleaner, nothing happened. The cleaning was awfully slow. I would leave the hotel at about 9am, return at about 4pm and the room was yet to be done! Next day i hang the \"Do my room now\" sign, nothing.

Charming hotel with a delightful staff.

Stayed one night in this charming hotel. We found the room very clean and modest. We felt safe at the hotel as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful to us. WiFi access was very important to us as well. When I had trouble getting on the WiFi, I spoke to Grégoire at the front desk and I was set up immediately. Grégoire was very kind and helpful. We will stay at this hotel again.

The staff were extremely helpful. They gave us excellent directions and information about the city. Parking is free. On the day of our check out, which happened to be the first day of sale in France, the staff allowed us to park the car until late afternoon, so that we could do some shopping before leaving the city. The hotel is located within walking distance to the old town. Our room was somewhat noisy because our room faced the street side of the hotel.

Staff was courteous and efficient. No problems with booking or reservation. Location is about 20 minute walk from city center. Nice jogging trail along canal about 100 meters from hotel. WiFi free, a little slow. Nice breakfasts downstairs. Room was clean, but lacking in drawers (1 small drawer) not enough hangers (3 hangers) and no place to store suitcase. Nice, big shower room and separate toilet in Junior Suite. Comfortable queen bed, nice balcony, off-street parking free.

Underwhelmed.

We booked for two nights, one in a junior suit and the second in a regular double.
Upon arrival and entering the junior suit, we couldn't get past the smell of vommit in the room and asked to be changed to a different room. We were going to be down graded to a regular room with no compensation before I pointed out this wasn't ok. The next room was ok. For a newly renovated hotel I wasn't wow'd at all. Not having a room light and only the lights by the side of the bed meant the room was very dark. If there were other lights, the bulbs must have been blown as nothing happened when we flipped the spare switches.

The second night we were put in the best suit in the house as that was all that was available. There were issues with it not having been cleaned properly and a few other things like a broken kettle, no tea / coffee, only one cup and one mug...just odd things. Random electronics that we think the previous tenants left behind.

The staff were good and the off street parking was great. It was super easy to get around, but as to the hotel...I'll give it a 2 out of 5. Probably won't stay again.

Ok hotel

This hotel was close to the station, fairly clean and a little loud due to the location. I did enjoy my stay though.

Nice hotel for buisness stay

I was in Toulouse for a conference and this hotel was close enough to walk to the convention center each day. The rooms were small but nice, and the water pressure in the shower was GREAT. The staff was very helpful and spoke both English and French. The neighborhood wasn't the best but I never felt unsafe in any way. My stay was completely satisfactory.

My only complaints have to do with the cleaning staff. They \"cleaned\" my room daily, even if I put the sign out indicating my desire to be left alone to catch up on sleep. The bed was always remade but my belongings were strangely moved around and I didn't always get essentials restocked (toilet paper being the worst offender). If you're going to clean my room even after I've expressly requested you not to I'd appreciate you doing a decent job.

Oh, and the Wifi is beyond irritating to use. I just opted for mobile data. It was faster and more stable, and didn't require logging in over and over and over again.

Great little hotel in Toulouse.

The hotel was great from check-in to check-out. Very clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff was very helpful with any questions we had and the hotel is located very centrally to restaurants and points of interest. There is a Carrefour two doors down for groceries.

A hotel with quirky furnishings and good staff

This hotel was fabulous. The standard of professionalism from the staff, particularly Sylvanian, was exceptional. He helped us with directions and things to do during our stay.
The room we had came with a private balcony and was furnished well. I loved the scenic backdrop on the headboard!
This hotel is definitely recommended as an alternative to the chain hotels as it is unique. The decor was great, the service great and secure car park easily accessible.
Our room also had a fridge, a/c, TV, wi-fi; all necessary for our stay as it was mid-30's outside.

Quiet Perfection

Everything here was perfect. The location is quiet, yet close to the best parts of the city. I've visited Toulouse before and it can be quite noisy in other parts of the city.

Helen was very friendly and helpful during our stay. It will be the only hotel I stay at for future visits.

Clean and modern, good location and free parking

Conveniently located at a walking distance from the Capitol square (15min walk), it is a great spot to visit Toulouse and enjoy all its food attractions. There is a small grocery store nearby that is open until 10pm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but very nice, clean and modern bathrooms. Free Wifi worked well, the hotel also has free parking (very rare in the area) but the parking spots are small!

Great hotel with parking, breakfast in quite location. But some people smoked inside their rooms and I could not leave my window open because of smell.

Nice hotel in Toulouse

The hotel was nice, the rooms were clean and comfortable (pretty small by American standards, but I think that is to be expected). The breakfast was good, although quite expensive (13 euro). Location is easily walkable to historic city center.

The location was great for our stay. We were able to walk to the city center within a few minutes. Right next door is a small supermarket with most things you need and next to that is a laundromat. The staff was friendly, spoke english, and kept the whole building clean. Much nicer than some hotels I've stayed at in America. Much better than a Holiday Inn, Country Inn, etc. The posh hotel would be comfortable for solo travel and with friends.

Ideal place for enjoying the best of Toulouse.

Hotel is in a calm comfortable 'quartier' within easy walking distance (for average pensioners) of all one might need or sites to visit. A walk along the Canal de Brienne, or around the corner to St.Pierre and the Garonne make an excellent beginning or end to a day in the city. The hotel's breakfast options met all our requirements and the staff were always very helpful, in English or French according to our needs. Several good restaurants within 200 metres does nothing to diminish the hotel's attraction.
Having read comments about glass shower cubicles, we were mildly concerned. Sorry folks it's a load of nonsense.....unless you stand on the bed or on tiptoe with your nose to the glass decency is maintained by the design work on the glass.
