The is a lovely property by the river in Toulouse. It’s not right in the heart of the city but worth it! The staff are exceptional. Our front desk receptionist, Olivier, was terrific! He booked trains and restaurant reservations for us and did not disappoint. We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were very modern yet the building was old and historical.

I wish I could write a better review of this hotel.The location can't be beat, the staff overall is great, and the parking arrangements are excellent.

Now the bad news: the hotel is a peculiar mix of historic architecture superimposed with modern furnishings/fixtures/decor. I was traveling with two friends, and we all paid the same price for our rooms. However, it turned out that my room, in an attic with a small dormer window and furnishings that were not at all cozy, was far inferior to the others, which I didn't learn until close to checkout. I spoke with the manager about a reduction in my bill, but to no avail. The experience cast a pall on all of Toulouse.

A wonderful “boutique” hotel with a quiet inner courtyard for drinks after a delicious dinner a few steps from the hotel. The room was huge by European standards. Slept very well. The pillows and linens were very nice.
The staff were friendly, efficient, and attentive.

Fabulous value and friendliness

Very nice hotel in Toulouse. Fantastic and friendly staff. The hotel has seen its better days for wear and tear though. Carpets are stained and haven’t been changed in many years. Water stains on all the marble in the bathrooms is odd because one person armed with a spray bottle of polish and a floor or handheld buffer could restore the marble in 3-4 hours to look perfect. If they maintained it regularly would be so nice. AC controls don’t work. You have to ask front desk to control for your room. Phone didn’t work. Otherwise really great location and again wonderful staff.

Centrally located comfortable option

Hotel is both funky and historical with a Michelin star restaurant (impossible to get a booking though) - issue was the antiquated shower system, frankly it needs an upgrade (you still have that \"radio\" option in the bathroom!). Attentive staff, we should have asked them to fix the shower but only stayed one night so didn't bother.

Comfortable stay and friendly staff. Location was conveniently located next to center of town. Room could use some updating, particularly the uneven floor and well-worn carpet, and most especially the toilet (room 117), which was mounted to the wall rather than the ground and worryingly creaked and and showed signs of disconnecting from the wall (caulking splitting) everytime it bore weight. But overall we had an enjoyable and restful stay, thank you!

Stayed there for 4 nights, not worth €200 per night for the Superior room. carpet has a large patch of stain and it looks dirty, room lighting dark,dull and not pleasant , large bathroom area and the mattress were the pluses.
No way it’s 5 stars hotel.

The staff was very nice. Location was good. The room was very weird - with shower visible from bedroom - no door and the tub was in the middle of the room.
Bed was comfortable Light was very uneven and if you are trying to put on makeup in bathroom it is impossible. Hotel needs a refresh but breakfast was nice and there were a few vegan options.

Rooms in the first building did not live up to photos and we had an adjoining room where the people next door could be heard too easily. Reception was very helpful (and the bell boy) assigning a new room but unfortunately the replacement stank of cigarette smoke! Overall very disappointed with what I was hoping to be the premier hotel in Toulouse

This hotel went far beyond our expectations! My husband and I were there for vacation for one night and wished had stayed for a week. Our room was so beautiful, the bathroom was huge and we even had a lovely little covered balcony. The staff was so helpful and kind and gave us recommendations for everything to do in the city. We would definitely stay there again.

La Cour des Conseils is always welcoming. Nothing is too much. Staff take the innitiative to give additional service with perfect timing. This has been the second visit this year; I look forward to my next visit. Location is ideal for walks to sites, shops and importantly is a neighbourhood in which you feel comfortable at night.

The hotel is in a supervening location. The staff could not be more friendly and accommodating. The spa is not what one would expect in a hotel of this quality (no robes provided, changing in the treatment room, etc) so would recommend finding a spa elsewhere.

Nice hotel, in a good location. Easy to walk into the city. Rooms are big but very dark, the bathroom shower leaked terribly. Some of the fixtures and furniture could do with replacing, the room standard was nit good enough for the standard of hotel. Breakfast was poor at best, with limited choice. Beautiful hotel is in a historical building at a great location, a few minutes walking to all attractions and the center of the city, there are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. We enjoyed the stay very much. The staff are very nice. The room is beatifully decorated with modern amenties. The bed is very comfortable. We will certainly stay here again next time in Toulouse.

The nicest thing about this beautiful hotel was the the employees. They are all so nice and accommodating. They really seem to enjoy their jobs. Vincent, Wilfred, ladies at the desk, breakfast servers and the maintenance man who ran down a few flights to get me a hairdryer and excused my horrific French. Great location adjacent to old part of town. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful hotel!

Our stay at La Cour des Consuls was one of our best finds! The staff there is cordial, helpful, and very professional. They parked our car in one of their two courtyards, carried our luggage to the room (thank you, Martin!) and gave very useful advice. Our rooms were large and luxurious, with many amenities and comfy bed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Location was superb close to the river for walks,shops and restraunts,
Take the T1or T2 from the airport then the metro to the city centre and walk in the direction of the river and the hotel is in a side street just before the traffic lights.
We went a day trip to Albi really worth a visit gorgeous small city. The hotel receptionist organised the bus and train for us .She was exceptionally professional but friendly .Many thanks to her and her team for all her suggestions for meals which were excellent.

Ideally located intimate five star

Welcoming staff in a perfect location for exploring the sights. If you arrive by car, expect narrow, difficult access through the maze of streets in the old city. The breakfast was first rate, the dinner was exceptional and the room, a little on the small side, was very comfortable. Great experience and excellent value.

We loved our stay here. The room was quiet and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, and we we close to food and sites. We did not sample the hotel's restaurant, nor did we visit he spa, so I can't comment on those features. Highest recommendation!

On my first day at this hotel, I enjoyed the large bathtub in my room until I looked up and saw a line of black mold along the grout of the tub. Not what you want to see in \"spa hotel.\" I told the staff and they took care of it right away, but it isn't really something a guest should have to point out. I also found the carpeting to be sticky. I had dinner that night at the hotel restaurant and found the staff there very nice and helpful. The food was a solid \"OK.\" For a restaurant billed as a \"culinary experience\" I expected more - more flavor, more something. It is not someplace I found necessary to return to.

Service: Strange. The first night, my bed was turned down and the staff left the next morning's breakfast menu and a chocolate near the pillow. Nice

The first morning I received my breakfast and it was great. Everything I asked for. Four piece of fresh fruit (one of which was inedible and rotten in the middle.)

The second evening, I found my menu and chocolate tossed onto the table by the door. I also found that the cleaners had not replaced wash cloths.

The second morning, my breakfast came with coffee but no cups. I ordered fresh fruit again and instead of 4 pieces, I got one.

Again, that night, the third evening, my menu and chocolate were tossed onto the table. Fine, not a big deal, but inconsistent.

The third morning, departure day, my breakfast came and for some reason they sent two full breakfasts of everything I ordered. Wasteful and inconsistent.

we have stayed in quite a few Sofitel hotels. This hotel was nice with corteus staff. The only problem we had was that we had to ask twice for our room to be cleaned as it had not been done by the middle of the afternoon . We stayed for 5 nights.

Great hotel in Toulouse

My wife and I spent three nights at La Cour des Consuls as we had been told by friends actually living in Toulouse that this is the best hotel in the city. Although the hotel was not perfect, overall we were not disappointed. Staff is very friendly and hepful, just as people in general in South-West France (as opposed to Paris!). The brunch option is to be strongly considered as you will get a much wider selection of breakfast at the hotel than at the little cafés nearby where you're going to get your typical \"tartine\" (half baguette cut laterally) and jam. If you choose the brunch option, go earlier than later as some items (such as the guests-favourite scrambled eggs) don't seem to get replenished very often past a certain time... One thing we did not quite understand is how pricy are the \"snacks\" that are offered in daytime before dinner. Snacks include re-heated pasta as hard as concrete and a soggy pre-made croque-monsieur (cheese and ham grilled sandwich) more than 20 euros each! We were baffled by the poor quality snacks of such an (otherwise) nice hotel. Bedroms are comfortable and quiet. Shower may leak a little bit on the floor, at least in our room, but nothing to kick up any fuss about. Enjoy your stay!

Great hotel in Toulouse, very well located

We arrived at this hotel after spending four days in London. Our London hotel, although very comfortable and highly rated, suffered from being old with too little room in the room. This hotel in Toulouse, contrariwise, was modernized with a large room, separate shower room with a wonderful shower, and even a double-sinked vanity. The staff was friendly and of excellent service during our stay. It's location near the river and in the older part of the city allowed us to quickly walk to wherever we desired. I would recommend this hotel for either vacation or business.

Gem of a place in the heart of Toulouse

The location is wonderful if you want to stay near the heart of Toulouse. Le Capitol is only a short walk away and well worth seeing. Our room was huge (by European standards) and we were very pleased to have found this place.
If you have a car, the valet parking (36 euros) is expensive, but necessary, given the lack of parking in the vicinity.

Toulouse is a lovely city and the hotel was in a great location, Only been open 9 months so everything still fresh and new. If you don't speak much French Toulouse may be a challenge. The churches, museum, infact, everything is only available in French. Also if chicken is all you can eat, perhaps look elsewhere!
