I found the room small. However I’m American and I am used to big things. We brought a lot of luggage which made the room even smaller. But this was us, not the room’s fault. Breakfast was good. The location was good.

The rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk was brusque. Admittedly we were in town during Oktoberfest, but also, hospitality is their actual job. They didn’t do anything wrong, they just weren’t especially helpful. I had messaged about car parking before I arrived, yet I had to pull up the messages to prove it before they would allow me to pay €20 for the garage key. They also offered no flexibility for parking after checkout despite there being tons of room in the garage. All of this was within their right, but also gave the feeling that guests were to be endured rather than indulged.

Hotel was okay - wifi was not working, it was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The area is residential, so no much to do and had limited transportation options at night. During the day, you can take the tram to the central station and is fairly close to the city center.

Hotel is fine - don’t bother with breakfast if not included when booked they want €22 a head and it’s simply not worth it. Visit a local bakery or cafe which are on the doorstep instead.

Very small room at the price

Very small room on top floor (you have to carry your luggage one floor on a staircase as the elevator does not go all the way). Slanted roof made the room even smaller. No coffee maker (just instant coffee and water kettle).
No hint of upgrade (even as Gold member who has been to the property before). Breakfast good (especially the make-your-bowl station), yet otherwise limited choices (as to cheese, meats, vegetables). Wifi worked well. Short walk to the tram stop. In all, the nearby Leonardo provided bigger room at 30 EUR better price (and more breakfast choices).

Really pleasant stay

Although the decor was a bit weird, I had a pleasant experience here. The staff and service were all fantastic and the morning breakfast was great. The hotel is also near by some restaurants, so if you get hungry, it isn't an issue. One of my issues was how tiny our room is. We didn't have much room for our luggage but I was pretty amazed how great a job the room cleaning was for that tiny area. The only other issue is that we were on the 4th floor but the elevator only goes up to the third floor. Kind of strange.

Stay in this hotel for 3 nights and which was a completely wrong decision . We stay in Mercure hotel in other cities in Germany last December & that gave us great impression, so we chose to stay here this time.

There was no refill of shower gel in the bathroom (there is a big jar on the wall but the gel went out after the first night). The bathtub is so tiny that my husband can hardly bend his head to wash his hair in the morning. The room is on 4/f without enough lighting. Can’t see at all near the table area which is next to TV. We saw 2 cockroaches in the room during our stay. Not sure if they do carpet dusting everyday but I don’t want to step on it with bare feet. There is no air conditioning, even though the weather turns cooler in Oct, we woke up with sweat in midnight. Not to mention, the elevator goes up to 3/F only, so if u carry big suitcase like me, ask for other rooms on 3/f or below, otherwise u have to carry it upstairs by yourself.

We stay in the bar for a drink before departure on the last day. Saw staff at reception gave warm welcome to other customers & invite them to join as member & got room upgraded. Unfortunately I didn’t experience that during check in.

The only good thing is the breakfast. Love the make your own bowl concept with delicious choices to make for yourself.

Solid night's stay

This is a solid hotel for that is near a Tram line in a decent, but not spectacular, neighborhood. The room is clean, relatively quiet and the wi-fi works well. For seeing the sights, there is the aforementioned Tram just one block away. The front desk team is also very nice and helpful. Personally, I would prefer to stay near a subway station for easier access to town, but would stay here again, too.

Comfortable boutique hotel am Olympiapark

I enjoyed my 1-night stay at the Mercure Hotel am Olympiapark. The decor is very trendy and cool; the bed was comfortable; and the breakfast was very good. The rooms are small, but for one person staying one night, it was certainly sufficient. I would definitely stay here again.

Handy location to Olympiapark ad BMW attractions

The staff were the highlight for me. I had difficulty finding parking (their garage was full), but the staff was very helpful, explaining how the parking arrangement in the nearby surface streets worked and even breaking a bank note in to change for me so I could feed the machine. They had recommendations for food nearby as well.

The location was great for me, within relatively easy walking distance to Olympiapark and the BMW Welt/Museum. Olympiapark was nice to walk around, lots of trails and some wonderful views of the surrounding area.

The area was fairly quiet and I felt safe wandering around, even after dark.

Hotel was really good. Located in a lovely neighbourhood and very close to public transport to get to city centre. Staff was helpful and friendly, and the hotel room very clean and spacious. We will certainly come back again next time we are in Munich.

Mercure conveniently located within 10min downtown

Overall experience was ok due to room size. Relatively small even for European standards. Avoid the 4th floor as rooms are built in the attic of the building using dormers (the other floors maybe better but did not see them). Barely enough room to get around the bed and the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor . Watch your head as you stand up from the small desk. Bathroom layout was awkward. Sink in front of the window and the mirror on another wall. The parking is in another building across the street. It would be better without a car as parking on the street is a challenge. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was typical of what you get in Europe and was included in the room price (not always the case anymore). I would stay again if it wasn't for the room size.

Nice hotel close to Olympiapark

Overall great hotel with a very friendly staff. The hotel is within walking distance of Olympiapark and short drive from the central train station. A few restaurants are on the same street however I would highly recommend Raffus Wirsthaus which is a few streets over. My only complaint about my stay is that the beds are a little uncomfortable however everything else was great.

Just a tip, if you take a cab do not expect them to know where this hotel is by the name. I made the mistake of telling my first cab driver Mercure Olympiapark and he took us to the actual Olympiapark where there are hotels as well.

Awful hotel, dirty walls in the room, not all lamps work, bed very uncomfortable! Elevator often breaks and people stayed inside for an hour. No administrator after 16:00, because of this there was a confusion with rooms (somebody took our key before we arrived).

I stayed twice at this hotel during my trip to Germany and Austria. The hotel was located a convenient 3 km from Nymphenburg castle and 3 km the other direction to the central area with the cathedral, central station etc... so I was able to walk to visit what I wanted. Also the area around the hotel has some nice restaurants so it was easy to get something appetizing.

We were given a room on the 4th floor but the lift only goes up to the 3rd floor so we had to carry our cases up the stairs. The sloping roof in the room made it very small and the ensuite was also small. Staff were good and the hotel was clean and reasonably well located. There was no parking available when we arrived but it only cost €6 to park on the nearby roads

We felt very looked after the rooms were very clean and well furnished.The rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard. It was my son's 21st birthday during our stay and the staff provided a champagne breakfast and table decorations it was lovely. The breakfasts are very nice hot and cold buffet We would definitely stay there again good transport into the city nearby.

It's not really in the city center, but it is about a 2 minute walk to the tram stop and then about a 5-10 minute ride to city center, so it wasn't bad at all! Room was big and very nice. When I travel in Europe, I prefer to stay outside the city center, in a neighborhood where local people live, and this hotel was perfect. It's a 15-minute tram ride from the train station in Central Munich. The surrounding neighborhood is residential with some restaurants. In fact, the hotel staff suggested an excellent Italian restaurant nearby. My room was cool (air conditioned) and comfortable, and there was both indoor and outdoor lounge areas off the lobby. Overall, a very comfortable stay.

Great hotel and v central for Olympic park and transport to the center of Munich.The trams ran from the bottom of the road which helped our weekend break.
Hotel lovely and staff very pleasant.Only down fault we did not get any new water in the room once we had used our bottle.Maid just put top on.There was no tea bags either in the room.Plenty of coffee
worth a visit the Olympic park tour with guide.Lasted over 1 hour guide brilliant as she had to speak in English and German.We were then able to stay in the park and walk round the edge to see the Olympic flame. Wasn't that visible
due to scaffolding from an event.
Worth going up the tower and having coffee and cake and enjoying the rotation of the tower so you can see all of Munich.
Worth buying a partner card for all modes of transport.60 Euros for 4 days.which included airport travel.
Worth going to to the beer keller for an evening.V busy so get there early.Food worth the wait.
The bakery next to hotel,was great for pastries and coffee and people watching..

We arrived early and they let us check in early. It was a nice surprise because most hotels do not allow you to do this. The rooms were very spacious and very clean. The only thing that we had any problems with were the pillows. They were quite flimsy and felt like you were just sleeping on the mattress. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. I would get it included with the room. They do have parking, but call ahead to get a spot. Overall we had a very good experience with this hotel. Very, Very pleased!

A few nice restaurants nearby as well. A good choice for Munich

Although a bit away from the prime spots to visit in Munich, it is a short (1/2 block) walk to a tram stop where trams go in four different direction and link you quickly to anywhere in or near the city. Well appointed with decent sized rooms, I would go there again.

The hotel was at a good location, but was very noisy due to being on a main street. Breakfast charges were a little higher than I have usually seen in similar hotels. On a positive side, the hotel location allows for very easily accessible public transport system (tram and buses) to central Munich and also to other places.

Great staff and service!

The hotel is conveniently situated, just two minutes walk from the nearest tram stop. It is served by the 20 and 21 lines which take you straight in to the centre of Munich in about 10 minutes. The staff we dealt with were superb - very helpful and friendly and helped out with a number of queries. As for the rooms, they are not what you would call 5 star, however that is not what you are paying for. There are a few little touches that are missed that could easily bump the hotel up a notch and the rooms were a little small. However, the beds were comfy and the showers both very powerful, although both leaked somewhat on to the bathroom floor (the hotel dealt with that when we reported it).

All in all I would happily recommend the hotel to anyone. We had a very enjoyable stay and would happily go back!

A hotel that makes you welcome

The hotel staff were exceptional, they went out of their way to help with our enquiries. Offering good information on travelling, eating out and places of interest.
If you did not book breakfast for your stay there is an excellent coffee shop next door that offers a good breakfast selection at reasonable prices.
Transport into the city centre is close by and day tickets can be purchased at the hotel. The transport system is very good and cheap to use.
Overall the hotel was comfortable, well maintained and I would certainly go back again.

Very handy for the Munich Marathon

I stayed here in order to run the Munich Marathon and the location is brilliant. It is a 5 minute walk to the start and a 15 minute walk to the expo and finish. The nearby Leonrodplaz contains a tram stop that goes straight to the city center, the Olympic Park and another stop that goes to 2 beer gardens. As for the hotel itself the facilities are clean but basic (my room had no bath and only 3 English tv channels), however the staff were great and very helpful.

One thing that I did think was disappointing was the high cost of the hotel breakfast, luckily there was a nice coffee shop just a few doors down and a supermarket in Leonrodplatz a 2 minute walk away.

Hotel location is OK. It is not in the heart of downtown, but the surrounding area seems clean and nice enough. I stayed during Oktoberfest and the tram+U-bahn trip is maybe 10-15 min total. To the airport, the tram+S-bahn ride will take between 1-1.5 hours depending on your luck timing the trains.

My single room was on the 3rd floor. It was small with an angled ceiling (even in the bathroom), but for a single traveler this was no problem. The room was very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Overall, this hotel is a great value if you don't mind being outside the heart of downtown.

The mercure hotel munich

The hotel was so easy to find. Having never been to Munich before we were pleasantly surprised that it was so close to the city, with transport almost to the door. Staff was friendly & helpful. Rooms were big & comfortable. Didn't have the breakfast as we thought it was a bit expensive, but have had other mercure buffet breakfasts & they have all been great!! Love accor hotels

A little dissappointed....

Very little amenities( no fridge, coffee pot). The hotel could at least provide complimentary coffee, tea, etc. since no breakfast is included and there is no way to make your own. The room was ok otherwise.

Nice place not too far from city center.

location is nice, not too far from downtown, with the tram stop a few minutes walk away from the hotel.

for those needing meals beyond breakfast, there are a few restraunts short distance away, so you do not need to go all the way downtown.

A small shoping area, including supermarket, kioski, pharmacy is near the tramstop. Post office is one tram stop away.

Area is peaceful and quiet at night... other buildings nearby are mainly residential.

Great Value

We stayed here three days. It’s close to the rail which gets you in to Karlsplatz, if that’s your destination. We chose not to eat at their morning buffet. We don’t care too much for European breakfast. The hotel is neat, quiet, out of the way (but near the rail; one block); comfortable, etc. Down the block is a small pub where the owner seems to enjoy chatting with Americans. He speaks broken English but we were able to determine that he had been to Virginia and we talked about this and that (as much as we could, not knowing German). The hotel staff is young and personable and speak English and are most willing to help – if you ask – otherwise they let you be (which is nice). We highly recommend this hotel for quietness, comfort, and out-of-the-way location. It’s a good value for the price!

Not for a long stay

The hotel was close to public transportation and in an area of town with which I was familiar, which is why I chose it. The rooms were small with little closet space and no fridge. The internet, for which there was a charge, was extremely slow to any \".com\" site - I don't recommend accessing the web from here. Our rooms faced the main road so we heard street noise all night long.
It may be a good hotel for a very short stay, but for the 2 weeks we were there, it was too cramped and lacked some of the amenities Americans have come to expect.
