We stayed in the honeymoon room which had beautiful views of the walled city and the clock tower. Our room also came with a hot tub on the balcony which was nice! The hotel doesn’t have a pool and breakfast is a very simple selection of coffee, tea, cereal, fruits, a few choices of bread and a meats & cheeses board. I personally enjoyed my stay and it was a pretty safe hotel (located on the 5th floor of the popular bank building which has a security desk on the first floor)

A great little hotel with an unlikely location on the fifth floor of a tall, modern building in the heart of Cartagena’s walled historic centre. Our room - standard with king bed - was extremely spacious and included a balcony that looked over the main, “clock tower” square. I really don’t think the location could have been any better. The continental breakfast was excellent and the staff were lovely, helping out even when our flight from Medellín was diverted to another city, while the hotel’s driver waited at Cartagena airport! The music emanating from clubs in said square can be heard late into the night, but never affected our sleep. I’m not sure if this was just an Expedia perk, but we had free transfers to and from the airport, too. All in all an excellent value. Tourist tips: 1) make sure to include Getsemaní in your wandering around the beautiful old city; 2) If you are planning to spend a day at a beach club but are put off by the high price of some, try Pink Mango, about half the price of some widely recommended clubs and, despite a beach that’s a little rocky in parts, a great, peaceful experience. The food was also excellent and the staff helpful and friendly.

I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Although it’s new and small, it gives a wonderful sense of exclusivity. The atmosphere feels modern, stylish, and very well maintained.

Everything was impeccably clean, and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived. The staff was attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I would definitely return.

I had the best experience at Terrazas Hotel Boutique. Their exceptional hospitality, and a safe and secure environment were the best parts. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. The continental breakfast offered was just enough to start the day.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone spending time in Cartagena. It is located across from the walled city and other sights.

This hotel was very well appointed (rooms were large and clean). In many ways, the hotel was excellent - clean, spacious and very well located (just outside the main entrance to the Old City. Two issues however. Finding the hotel is not easy. It occupies on floor in an office block. You have to enter through the Banco Poplar entrance (which is open 24/7) but there is no sign. My taxi driver did not know it and it took him a long time to find. The second issue is that the night I was there, it was very noise. I don't know if they have noise every night and it didn't affect me too much but it was loud until very late. If you don't like noise at night, don't go (but then probably every hotel in Catagena is noisy) don't go. Once you have found the entrance to the hotel, it is excellent (and good value).

The location of this hotel is excellent and the room was lovely and very big. We had a delux room with a balcony and hot tub. Balcony and view were great, however the hot tub had cold water only, so was cold too sit in it.
Housekeeping did not service our room on the second day, we're not sure why as we were out all day.
One thing to note is that entrance to the hotel is in a high rise building with a doorman and no sign mentioning the hotel name. The exterior is not very attractive and it smells outside. However, once in the hotel and room, it's lovely.

The room was great — really big and clean. The place is perfectly located right in front of the Clock Tower. The only thing to keep in mind is that it can get a bit noisy at night, so light sleepers might notice it. Everyone was very nice and welcoming, and we were happy to stay here.

Great place to stay in Cartagena just a few steps away from the walled city center. Good view of the city center tower area from hotel room balcony. Felt very safe. Attentive staff. Hotel is on the 5th floor. Guard on the 1st floor let's you in and you take the elevator up to the 5th floor. Room was clean and good breakfast.

I cannot express how excellent it was, the attention that the staff provided. It was my husband's bday and to our surprise, when we got back to the room we found a beautiful balloon arrangement! What a great detail! Communication was excellet, 100% and on point! If I ever come back to Cartagena, I will not stay anywhere else but here.

As far as everything else, the location was excellent. We were right at the entrance of the historic center by the tower clock and within a short walking distance of Getsemani, a must do! We only had to take an uber the day we went to Boca Grande, the area with the highrise buildings.

El Hotel Terraza tiene una ubicación ideal, justo frente a la entrada de la Ciudad Amurallada, lo que lo convierte en el punto perfecto para explorar Cartagena. La decoración es preciosa, todo está impecablemente limpio y la estadía se siente realmente cómoda. Amé el servicio de recogida y traslado al aeropuerto, y las vistas son simplemente espectaculares. A solo minutos de la Ciudad Amurallada y a un corto paseo de Getsemaní. Me fui completamente enamorada del hotel. Súper recomendado.

Hotel Terraza is perfectly located right across from the entrance to the Walled City, making it the ideal spot to explore Cartagena. The décor is beautiful, everything is impeccably clean, and the stay feels genuinely comfortable. I loved their airport pick-up and transfer service, and the views are absolutely stunning. Just minutes from the Walled City and a short walk to Getsemaní. I left completely obsessed—highly recommend.

Very convenient area near Getsemani , lots of shopping a places to eat .
There is no Hotel signage in the front of the building which we were made aware of ,so we have to tell the Uber driver to drop us off at the banks entrance ( hotel lobby is on the 5th floor) the front entrance smelled of urine which is not the hotels fault and a homeless person was sleeping several feet away . The guards at the entrance were very friendly .
Otherwise the hotel itself is nice , we had very good breakfast ( although breakfast sitting area is limited and only have 2 tables ) since there were 6 of us and occupied 2 tables ,other guest have to take there breakfast and eat in there room , they did provide them with a tray. Our room was spacious and clean and had a beautiful view of the clock tower . Only suggestions we have is to put a mirror in the room , the girls have to wait for someone to finish using the restroom to use the mirror.

This hotel is beautiful but has its problems, first there is no sign on the building, nobody can find it. The second is the dining area, only capable of accommodating six or eight people. The last is the visitor policy is unfortunate and forced me to leave to find a new place to stay during my trip. My reservation was made for two people , and the second person was not allowed to stay in my accommodations, based on that I had to leave and find a new location to stay.

I recommend this hotel because it is conveniently located near the Clock Tower and Getsemaní. It is also very clean and comfortable. The only thing I found less impressive was the breakfast. Other than that, it’s definitely worth recommending!

The hotel is in floor 5 of the building, it’s pretty new, room is very big, super clean, beautiful and modern. The view is incredible beautiful, in one side you have the clock tower and fortress wall and in the other side the bay decks with all the boats. Location is super convenient, all the tours we made we walk to the meeting point. You only need to cross the street and everything is there, food, souvenirs, all historic town.
Breakfast is simple but for us was good enough and the man serving is very attentive. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was “included”, but the only options were fruits, coffee and cereals, very limited bread as well.
No eggs, no cheese. They call it “continental” breakfast, it is a lot less than that. Only two tables and the space is very reduced.
Safe box i. The room can be reset by clicking 0 several times, no safety if the our belongings. Rooms are new and with plenty of space, but that is all you get, a nice room and bathroom.

Stayed for a couple days visiting Cartagena solo. This has more of a bed and breakfast feel than a true hotel. Building is secure and in an excellent location—had a perfect view of the Clock Tower from my balcony. Room is spacious and bed is very comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that I like to sleep in on vacation, and breakfast service was right outside my door and can be a little loud. Non-issue for anyone up earlier than me :)

This is an amazing hotel boutique! Nestled right in front of the walled city, it’s the perfect location for access to great restaurants, tourists sites and even the port to take you to several islands. The staff are all very helpful and nice and the building is extremely safe with security personnel and cameras all around. It is a little noisy considering how central it is but it’s not bad. I would recommend this as a great place to stay for your next trip to Cartagena.
