Staff were very professional, polite, and helpful, and breakfast was very good. Location is near the sea and walkable. Also, Internet was stable and fast, and I received a great value for the rate I paid. The only reason I did not grade 5/5 is that the property needs an update to be rated a 4-star hotel.

I love this place because it’s easy to come and go from Montevideo whether by bus, car, or plane. Located just off the rambla, they offer a basic, comfortable room, a comfortable bed, a great breakfast, friendly and professional staff for a reasonable price. They are consistent year over year, so you know what to expect. And it’s walkable to Montevideo shopping mall, many restaurants, and the rambla. The parking can be a bit limited, but that’s a city thing. Ubers and taxis are easy, quick, and plentiful in the area, and it’s a safe walk to many amenities.

We stay often at the Palladium. The location is great in the Buceo neighborhood — walkable to the rambla, Montevideo Shopping, lots of restaurants. Uber and taxis are easy to get. Centrally located to easily jump to or from the airport or Tres Cruces bus station or Ciudad Vieja or elsewhere in the city for business or leisure. The property is a little tired but the beds are comfortable, has nice pool, decent breakfast and reasonable prices.

A nice hotel with corner suites and great staff. The staff in the restaurant were incredible. There is a good breakfast and lovely food at dinner. The front desk staff were helpful with providing information. It was difficult to walk in this area (our second time here) because of the huge plague of mosquitos that were around. Good shopping close by.

The Palladium is consistently a clean and reasonably priced hotel within walking distance to Shopping, the rambla, and many dining options. The staff is hard working and friendly. We love the breakfast, the pool area, and comfortable beds. They are a great option when coming in and out of Montevideo as they are located closer to the airport than central city hotels AND within reasonable distance to jump to the bus station.

The property is nice and clean but with very limited transportation venues. Most of the staff,with just a few exceptions, is very efficient and attentive to details, like the Old World hotels of yore. Martin and his assistant Alejandra took care of all our problems, big and small, with utmost discretion and anache The very best part is the daily buffet breakfast which has a great selection of homemade breads, croissants and pastries. Sofia, a very young but enthusiastic cook, prepares dishes like our Italian grandmother's did. Please do not miss her \"budin de pan\" and \"panqueques\" with dulce de leche, which are to dye for. The waiters Maxi and Marcos prepared us delicious cafe au lait, worthy of the best Italian coffee houses.
For all the above reasons, we highly recommend your stay there.

They offered a good rate so I booked on the Expedia Website, and I only realized that the hotel's reservations staff had cancelled my reservation when I went to check in. At 8 pm the hotel was full and they offered no help at all. Had to start looking for another place to sleep from scratch at that time. Extremely anoying!

We checked in late Monday morning and the staff very friendly. Surprisingly the bed was comfortable but no small washcloth to bath with so using big hand towel. Next morning we had to walk 9 flights of stairs. Today is check out day but received a phone call at 9:30am that they wanted access to the room to do service but I said we are checking out at noon. The gentlemen hung up the phone on me. Someone knocked the door 30mins later to check fire alarm. Power went out as we were packing up our things. Once again 2 elevators are out if service and worker using the 1 functional elevator. Down I go again down 9 flights of stairs with my suitcase. Went back up to my room to get the rest of our things. Staff didn't apologize for the inconvenience. Printer not working to print receipt. He said everthing is paid but we ordered food one day which was charged to our room. We could of left without paying since it wasn't charged, paid in cash. This a buy or beware hotel. We are now staying and Hampton amazing staff and good exactly what I am paying for. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It was a very relaxing few days. The staff was super friendly and it was great that they even had bikes for their guests to use. My only wish was to be able to use the pool. I believe that I will have to come back later in the summer to be able to use it.

This hotel was out dated but it looks like they are trying to fix it up. They gave us a smoking room when we requested a non smoking room. They said they would change us but never did and we were there for a week. They advertise airport pick up with a fee and we contacted them twice with no response. The pool was dirty. Breakfast was to run till 11 each morning and one morning we were there at 9:30 and they were our of eggs shortly after a server came around and said breakfast was ending because they had a big event at 11. There was no notice at all. Later we were told there was no room service because of an event. It was close to the ocean and mall which were nice.

Palladium is A Great Value for the money

Very nice stay overall, very comfortable king size bed with comfort pillows and comforter....Great, actually excellent area of Montivedo two blocks from the Ocean, five blocks from great shopping mall (Shopping Montivedo)...great restaurants nearby. Breakfast was disappointing, but the larger than normal room as well as the comfort of the room made up for any disappointment of the food. Big and clean bathroom...Staff was pleasant. Internet is Not Good at all. But again, for the value and what we paid was very nice and would stay again. We stayed for a week. The hotel is renovating and due to this, I will give them a pass for the bad internet and any noise as well as a little extra dirt. Building is charming but old....the old is what makes it charming such as the woodwork....

A really nice hotel for a holiday

The staff here are very friendly and helpful . Close to the La Rambla and Montevideo shopping centre . The breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of many different foods . The room was always tidied to a high standard . They also have bikes to use free of charge . Would definitely stay here again .

Very happy with this choice.

This fairly modern hotel near the east end of downtown and close to the shore was a nice surprise for the very low rate online. Front desk staff, as with most South American hotels, go out of their way to please the guests. Claudio was particularly excellent and accommodating. Valentina was great too. Loved the free Trek bike rentals!! Theyre great for a ride along the beach shore path. Included buffet breakfast very nice too.

I miss my flight and must have To stay one more night, so I search for the best cost vs. Service ratio at this juncture, I don’t wanna spend much in an unnexpected event.
The bathroom may get a deeper clean service

GREAT LOCATION & OVERALL GREAT EXPERIENCE

The Palladium Hotel is a great place to stay. Located in a safe neighborhood, it is within easy walking distance to many restaurants, Montevideo Shopping, the rambla, and the marina. The staff is very friendly & easy to communicate with as many staff members speak very good English even though we do not expect that. The breakfast is consistent & high quality -- fruits, breads, juices, scrambled eggs, cheeses, lunch meat, and coffee. The breakfast location has a very friendly atmosphere on the second floor. The entire hotel is very clean. The building itself is old and furnishings are a little tired but very workable. The bed is VERY comfortable! The workout room is quite small and sparse and lacking smaller free weights. The pool area is a nice treat to enjoy the sun and a view of the city.

Nice hotel close to the beach with a pool

We did not know a word of Spanish and their English was average, but still we had a wonderful time. The rooms and the pool was clean. The breakfast was satisfactory. The staff was really kind. We spent a beautiful 2 weeks. Thanks.

horrible!!!

The Internet was so slow I couldn't even check my mail and this is a business hotel! Blanket had some white stains on it, scary! Mold in bathroom clumps of hai in hallway. Over all ran down dirty hotel! They charge $1 for coffee in the lobby something that is complementary in all other hotels!

They need to contact the city to have the security entrance alarm in the building across removed, or the sound lowered. Constant loud alarm day and night every time a car would exit or enter the complex.

Excellent Hotel Close to Everything!

I must say that I was a little worried with what I was going to get, even seeing pictures and reading reviews but only because of the price I paid. This hotel would have been worth it at almost twice the price. I will start by saying that from check-in to check-out the service and the room and the hotel itself is very good quality. I had originally made a 5 day reservation, but when I arrived in Montevideo I found out I was going to be going to another city and only needed 2 nights. The front desk manager was completely accommodating, cancelling the other 3 days and charging me no penalty. Speaking of which, the front desk staff were very kind and polite and were the picture of good service.

The room itself was very nice, double beds, on the 11th floor, the view was absolutely breathtaking. I had two very good nights of sleep there, except.... for the family in the room next door. The soundproofing would be my only complaint. I could hear the crying children fairly easily through the walls and it woke me up a few times, despite the very comfortable mattress and blankets and a/c. This was my only minor complaint about the hotel. The rest of the place more than made up for it.

The views are amazing from the roof, the hotel has a great location, but it is far from Old Town, an area I heard was very nice to be a tourist in in the daytime, but if you want to walk around central Montevideo AND the Rambla on the beach, and be able to hit the mall too, this is the place.

There was a storm when I stayed at the Palladium Business Hotel. Everything was pleasant, the Hotel staff was excellent and friendly. There are several great restaurants in walking distance - Buceo Beach is just down across the street. A great place to stay.

Upon our arrival, we realized we had chosen well. The location was nice, close to the water, as well as near to restaurants and boliches. Sofia at the front desk was very great to talk to about any questions. The breakfast was impressive and we found it to be something to look forward to. Best Hotel in Montevideo for Business Travelers

Excelent hotel, and amazingly cheap according to its service. Great location (Close to Montevideo new Business Disctrict), Large and clean rooms, and its most valuable asset: Its staff. This Hotel Staff service will amazingly over-supply any expectation you can have in a Hotel. Always ready to service, always asking about the Hotel service, and always with a smile.

Nothing was right but location

located very good convenient area in Montevideo but nothing was right during my stay. I reported I could not switch my shower faucet from shower to tap but it never fixed during my stay. I had to leave the hotel for work by 7:15 every morning and it was the hotel's commitment to have the breakfast ready at 7 AM, however, never ready. No bread, egg, bacon at 7 AM even after I claimed to the hotel. One of the day, I gave them 20 min allowance but the situation was same. The drain of the bathroom was smelly. I ended up to make my stay shorter than I originally planned and moved to another hotel in front of this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel for business traveler.

Nice hotel, excellent for business travelers

Excellent location, close to the \"Buceo´s\" riverfront, in the heart of the \"Zona franca\" area, plenty of Banks, Offices, Companies, Restaurants, Bars and Shopping places nearby. The Hotel staff is excellent and the facilities are nice. One important detail: The breakfast buffett (Free for guests) is delightful.

Does the job but could be better

Convenient for the business district and a safe area for walking, but not many restaurants nearby and the hotel doesn't even have a bar. The rooftop pool has a nice view but is tiny and just knee-deep: no lap swimming here! There's a workout room with a few cheap appliances but not well maintained. Our room was clean and roomy! It's fine but nothing special.
