Where to begin… the staff, especially the young man that spoke English well was super helpful and nice. We booked a room on hotels.com and we’re only looking for places that included breakfast. When we were checking in, we were told that breakfast was not included and we showed the person the website that stated all rooms included breakfast, since nothing was mentioned on the reservation. He took a photo of the info we provided. The following morning we had breakfast and it included eggs cooked the way you wanted along with breads and fruits. it was pretty good. When leaving the manager called us over and said it wasn’t included and that we will have to pay approx $20 per person. After going back and forth with him, he agreed to comp it, but we would be charge all subsequent breakfasts. Well that was the last time we ate there. We were able to dine elsewhere for less. The other major issue we had was with the room. Be aware of the listed square feet of the room. We were really surprised how tiny the room was. Thay we can deal with, the issue was with cleanliness. Someone last year posted pics of mold, thuck dust with hair and filthy showers, well thay must have been the room ww received, because it looked the same but worse. The hotel needs to update towels and sheets, everything was a dingy brown and should have been white. Wifi was fine.

Nice hotel in an excellent location. Close to Punta Carreta Shopping mall and to excellent restaurants. Across the street from the water and Montevideo's famous Rambla. Don't disagree with those who say they could use some updating, but i found it a clean with great service. Would stay here again.

It is very far from a 4 star rating for the hotel.
There is no gym at all even though it says there is.
The rooms are very small!
The service is very disrespectful.

The staff were excellent, accommodating our limited Spanish and ensuring we had all the help and assistance we needed.

Breakfast was more than adequate and staff friendly.

The rooms were small especially for travellers with 2 suitcases, however we were aware of this and did not plan to spend much time in the room.

Great location - opposite the Rio Plata and directly on las rambla. 5 minute up hill stroll to large shopping mall and local and tourist buses.

Only one thing slightly let it down was the room had a very stale smell and the under pillows needed to be changed.

We loved Montevideo and would not hesitate to stay here again

The room I had was 1103. The bathroom was clean and the hot water good. Cleaning of room next day good. My only complaint was the carpet had a bad mold smell. We walked into the room around 1am after a whole day of travel and was overtaken by the smell. For the sake of your future guests replace the carpet for tile. The staff was nice so I was nice.

The service was kind but the hotel lacks a lot of things I would expect - Details like bottle openers and lack of attention to detail of the cleaning staff.
Good area and nice view but hotel is quite small and doesn't have a restaurant or bar.

Very nice hotel! The room and bathroom are small but very comfortable and have the right amenities. The only thing that I didn’t like was the breakfast as it was a very small continental breakfast. Aside from that, everything was great! Would stay here again.

Located in a beautifull place near shopping in front at the river.
No parking but there is place available to leave the car at nights.
Noisy traffic, bad windows.
Good brakfast but No sugar free food.

Convenient, good value

If you need to stay in this area (Punta Carretas) this is an excellent choice for a simple, but very clean and convenient hotel. Everything was as advertised, great WiFi, breakfast and a small but clean room & bathroom. Mine had no bathtub, only a shower but that wasn't a problem for me.

The Mercure MVD is fairly new and is well situated in Punta Carretas , Staff on the front desk and the restaurant are very friendly and efficient. Rooms are quite small but fine for a short stay.

Good option for a short stay

Hotel was fine but photos make rooms look larger than they are. I was claustrophobic after spending three weeks in this hotel in such a small room. Staff was kind, Internet speed reasonable and tv had many channels to watch.

This is not a vegan friendly hotel.

The best in my opinion is the location. Punta Carretas is one of the highest end areas in Montevideo.

Don't miss La Perdiz Restaurant, it is rated as the top Parrillada in the city and its one and a half blocks away from Mercure.

A good hotel

This was an hotel designed for the corporate market which is apparent when you check in.
The hotel is new with only four rooms on my floor. The view from the room was excellent with a view over the estuary and promenade. This included a floodlit football pitch on the sea shore, different but good!
The hotel was centrally located near a shopping mall, handy to change money and about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi (900 Uruguayan pesos).Buses left from outside the mall to downtown Montevideo(35 pesos).
The room was everything you would expect, large bed with great cotton sheets, walk in shower and cable TV. I watched the football!
Breakfast was a help yourself buffet with cooked options for those who wanted them.Choice was good with fresh strawberries but why did you have tinned fruit on offer?
On the first floor there is internet available with a lounge which people used for meetings during the day
The staff in the breakfast bar and cleaning staff were excellent.
The staff on reception were good but you had to ask for information and were a little reluctant to recommend a restaurant. Still they ordered a taxi for me no trouble
Yes I would have no hesitation in staying here again

Está muy lejos del estándar de un hotel Mercure. Baño de los años 70, desayuno bastante básico, no tiene servicio de restaurante o comidas, y no sigo para no parecer ultra exigente. Para 100 Dólares por noche que pague le 0 a 10 le pongo un 3.2.

Infelizmente, este hotel está em um padrão muito abaixo do que outros hotéis da rede Mercure que conheço no Brasil.
Nossa reserva foi em um apartamento superior, com cama Queen. Encontramos duas camas encostadas uma na outra. Na recepção, disseram-nos que era assim mesmo, isso é cama Queen.
A localização é excelente, em um ótimo bairro.

The hotel is located right at the waterfront which makes it good for a walk or just chilling outside.
There is a mall nearby where you can find all kinds of shops at daytime. In the evening it is more of a quite neighbourhood.
The hotel itself has pros and cons. The room is rather small and we didn’t really manage to find enough space for 2 bags. The furniture is very basic and the bathroom could get some repairs.
Overall I felt like the room didn’t really match with mercure standards.
Personell was overall very kind and helpful. Eventhough we didn’t feel very welcome upon check in when we asked for an early check in and the manager told us to wait for our room to be available if we want one with seaview. He also tried to sell us another night with a „discount“ for the last 4 hours to the check in time which endet up much more expensive than our booking was. After declining his several attempts to sell the breakfast he took our phone number and told us to send a message once the room will be available. Long after the official check in time we had never received any messages but got into our room, which was to the garden and had no sea view at all.
Overall I think that was like the worst check in experience and more like a bazaar than a professional hotel.
Overall it was ok, compared to a budget stay.

Hospedagem mt boa. Hotel não tem vaga de estacionamento, mas há grande disponibilidade de vagas em frente ao hora , na rua. Cidade mt segura.
Tivemos que solicitar auxílio médico durante nossa estadia e fomos prontamente atendidos pela recepção do hotel que nos auxiliou em tudo que precisávamos. Muito obrigado por tudo.

Na rede Mercure já sabemos o que esperar, e por isso escolhemos esse hotel. Foi bom, mas ficou abaixo da expectativa. O quarto era confortável mas podia estar melhor na manutenção - tinha prateleira quebrada, chão do boxe estava encardido e a cadeira manchada. Ao fazer a reserva, já estava ciente que não havia estacionamento. Porém o que não esperava era que o hotel não tem uma área para desembarque de malas ou uma vaga reservada para esse fim, e como a região fica muito cheia de carros não tinha como parar próximo para a retirada de bagagens. Por isso, a chegada foi extremamente difícil e trabalhosa, e além de tudo estava chovendo e não havia funcionário do hotel para auxiliar. Entretanto, o hotel possui uma ótima localização, em uma área segura e muito próximo ao Punta Carretas Shopping. O café da manhã era muito bom e eficiente e era e servido nas mesas em cestinhas padronizadas. No geral foi uma boa estadia, mas com pontos que podem ser melhorados.

Experiencia horrible hotel viejo sin mantenimiento habitación con olor a sucio nos dieron una habitación en el fondo era tan pequeña que no nos podíamos mover lógico nos quedamos esa noche porque llegamos muy de noche al día siguiente a primera hora salimos una vergüenza la tarifa que cobran por un lugar sucio feo y en mal estado experiencia horrible

Pior hotel da rede Mercure que eu já fiquei na vida! Ficam cobrando documentos por segurança de covid e não tem buffet de café da manhã, mas não tem distanciamento algum no momento do café, não fazem nem reserva de horário para melhor organização de número de pessoas. O banheiro é super sujo, conforme foros enviadas! Igual a sacada que até teia de aranha tinha na cadeira!
O quarto fede poeira. Carpete com aspecto sujo e empoeirado. Os travesseiros parecem que foram usados por uns 10 anos seguidos de tão fino com aspecto desgastado. A cama e dura.
O café da manhã é muito fraco, pães ressecados e apenas melancia de opção de fruta.
Não tem estacionamento, nem ao menos uma vaga reservada na frente como carga e descarga, você tem que estacionar na rua, ficar procurando vaga e depois sair arrastando as malas, sem acessibilidade alguma, já que nem rampas tem na rua! Fora que a noite ao parar o carro vem usuários de droga pedir dinheiro, sem a menor segurança! Se for no domingo, você não pode estacionar o carro em alguns lugares, então saberá onde vai ter que colocar o veículo!
A cortina do quarto é transparente, e as 7h já está um clarão que não consegue mais dormir.
Não fiquem neste hotel se não quiserem ter a maior decepção gastando dinheiro com serviço ruim! Se tiverem dúvidas, todas as foros destes problemas estão anexas. Pena que não tem como sentir o cheiro para vocês verem o quanto é ruim o cheiro do quarto e da roupa de cama!

Hotel muito bem localizado, no coração do bairro Punta Carretas. Atendimento da recepção nota 1000. Pessoal muito simpático e prestativo. Quarto pequeno, mas bem confortável. O café da manhã é o único ponto que precisa de mais atenção por parte do hotel. Muito confuso, local pequeno. Sugiro que o atendimento seja com horário previamente agendado. O hotel não possui estacionamento, mas é possível estacionar o carro na rambla na quadra do hotel.

Como siempre Adriana y Alejandro nos hicieron sentir como en casa, nos buscaron una habitación de nuestra preferencia, así como fueron muy amables y serviciales. El desayuno volvió a ser de lo mejor en la zona , servido con amabilidad y mucha buena onda. Las habitaciones son perfectas, obviamente pasan a un segundo plano comparados con la calidad del servicio brindado por el personal que se destaca ampliamente frente a hoteles masivos y de renombre en Punta Carretas o Puerto del Buceo. Gracias por siempre tener en cuenta todas nuestras solicitudes, Hasta la semana proxima!

Hotel bacana

Hotel simples, mas bem localizado. Os atendentes são prestativos e cordiais, a limpeza do quarto deixou a desejar, muita poeira e falta de reposição de itens de higiene em uma ocasião. O café da manhã tem pouca variação, mas se gosta de medialuna não vai reclamar.

Localização do hotel excelente, a minutos do shopping e muitos restaurantes, perto de tudo. O quarto era bem arrumado, equipe da recepção muito educada e atenciosa, mas os quartos empoeirados demais. Percebi muita poeira acumulada nas cortinas e móveis e com o piso de carpete a situação piorava mais ainda. Acho que as camareiras só arrumavam, mas não aspiravam e passivam pano no quarto. Banheiro limpo, chuveiro maravilhoso.

Pequeño hotel muy bien ubicado. Vistas espectaculares al Rio de la Plata. Con centro comercial a 5 minutos andando y restaurantes a la misma distancia. Espectacular gimnasio con vistas a la Rambla.
Buen wifi. Mucha amabilidad.
