Location is perfect for going to UN Buildings and to U1 metro which is just across the street. The breakfast buffet is perfect with multiple hot and cold items and even sparkling wine is included. However, I wasn't happy with the room, very limited electricity points, the TV didnt have any English channels working and the AC never worked for the 4 nights that I stayed there. Though, the reception is fantastic and I really loved how Muhammed in the reception is always smiling and helpful no matter what. Overall I would definitely stay there again because of the location and the breakfast and the staff, but I wish the rooms could be made functional for the next stay.

The train station is just a few meters away, that was great. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast is nice. They have fresh bread, there are lots of options for teas, coffee, juice, and they have lots of fresh fruits, veggies, deli meats, smoked salmon, soups, eggs, bacon...the works.

Just a heads up that the front desk staff was a bit weird about me asking them to clean my room the morning of. Something very unusual for a hotel. They do have a system of requesting it the night before through a QR code. There is no house keeping if you don't request it with the purpose of being \"green.\" I hope this was a one off experience but I had dropped and broke my makeup compact that morning and it made a mess in the bathroom. I was rushing out so I figured I'd go to the front desk and quickly request the cleaning. Both ladies at the front pestered me for the QR code request and insisted I needed to make the request through the QR code 24 hours before. I had to almost argue and explain I needed the cleaning that day. I never thought it would be that difficult to request day-of house keeping at a hotel. Mind you it was 8am and I didn't care if they came at 3pm. They finally agreed and it was done.

I attended a conference at the VIC which was a stone's throw from this hotel. Comfortable, clean, not so far from the airport and perfect for business and leisure travelers. The room was fairly large and could fit in a young family easily.

This review is for ARCOTEL Donauzentrum. Had a booking with Kaiserwasser but they could not accommodate due to a technical error. They were nice enough to transfer the registration to thei other hotel.
Rooms clean. Good bed and shower. Good breakfast. Very close to Metro station. Attached to large shopping center with many food outlets. Airport bus stops right infront of hotel.
Only caution. No regularly manned chech in desk, and elevators don't need a pass key, so anyone off the street can go to the room floors unchecked.
Would stay there again.

A good place to stay especially if you are working at VIC. Underground station is within 5 minutes walk. Good breakfast. The only negative is that room furniture is not comfortable: bedside table is hard to reach, some hideous corner armchair, no proper desk. Otherwise good.

Check in process was the slowest I have ever experienced. Waited 30mins for 4 people ahead on me while checking in and we arrived at 3pm. And that was just to look up details not explain anything about the local area or anything.

Weirc knock on the door from two guys after check in to see if we wanted anything from the minibar when we were relaxing after our trip so it was annoying and breach of privacy: if we wanted we would have told you.

Door into the room had a stuck mechanism and had to be unlocked by staff at 2am.

I have asked for an upgrade of my room, because I am a Gold Member, but they gave me the smallest room on the executive floor and empty room minibar. I complained to another clerk and have received a larger room (quite good one) and filled minibar. However, next day, the minibar has not been refilled. However, I again complained and have received a couple of free drinks. Also, I have left request to prepare my room after 11.30 am, but nothing has happen for two days. I am upset that such simple things have to be done without any complaints from myself!

The best thing about this property is its location, if you are going for businness at the VIC. This hotel is literally accross the street from the VIC and U station.

The food was also very good.

The cons were the dated carpeting and attendant stuffy smell. For the same price, I prefer staying at NH Danube City, which is a 3-minute walk from the VIC.

Very convenient location for anyone wanting to visit the VIC. A variety of transit options are accessible in the area as well and its in a good enough location that Westfield Donau Zentrum can be considered walkable by most people. In terms of food, the hotel restaurant is a bit pricey compared to options outside but the attentive nature, cheer and charm of the hotel staff easily make up for this. I would definitely visit again.

I loved my stay in this hotel alot, I went for business and the location is perfect and very close to the subways. Beside the staff are friendly and kind especially Georgina!!! I met her once but she was very welcoming and full of positive energy even though I wasnt in the mood to talk and laugh but because of her I forgot my tiredness and started to smile. The hotel should always hold this kind of staff!

Excellently located for the Vienna International Centre (UN, etc.). The airlines bus from the airport stops right outside. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast in the restaurant. Evening meals in restaurant or bar are good too. Weiner schnitzel particularly good value. Only negative comment would be that one has to let water in bath/shower run for ages before it becomes hot. Relatively spacious rooms.

I had 3 pm check-in and I arrived early as 9 am. Reception informed me that they will give me a room as soon as one available, however, they did not even though other people came after me and they checked in. Also, there was an option to pay 50 euro for early check-in but they didn’t mentioned it when I went for the reception couple of times except when it was already 2 pm. I booked a king bed room, however, it was two twin bids attached together and the cover was two twin size covers. I paid almost 300 USD a night for the room, however, there was no water or even a note book in the room, also trash cans were without bags.

Good location & breakfast; communication need work

I stayed at the hotel both for work and vacation. Prior to my arriving at the hotel, I had contacted them to confirm I could ship some work materials for them to store until I arrived. This was confirmed by the hotel. A few days prior to my arrival, I sent a note to confirm they had received the items, but received no response. On checking in at the hotel, the staff had no knowledge of the materials. The first working day after my arrival (I arrived Friday evening, so the following Monday), I discovered that the materials had been refused by the hotel owing to an unexpected customs' duty that had not been paid. On resolving this matter with the shipping company, and confirming with the hotel they would let me know when the materials had arrived, the materials duly arrived and all was well.
However, prior to my resolving this matter, I sent the hotel a number of emails to ask for an explanation why they did not simply pay the charge on my behalf and charge that to me, or at the very least contact me to explain they had refused to accept the packages. These emails remain unanswered, which is a frustration.
Furthermore, as the Hotels.com booking was separate from the business booking I had made, I had let the reception team know this on check-in and prior to the start of my Hotels.com booking, and yet it still prompted a 20-minute at the hotel while they sorted my room key out, after it had expired. The hotel is overall good, but clearly communication needs to be worked on.

First, they claimed they were overbooked and tried to get me to go to another hotel farther away. Then, there was only 1 towel for 2 people, and had to wait until almost 11pm for bedding, after asking 4 times, and then made the bed myself. By the way, walking through the halls at 11pm at night, I could see that the hotel had a lot of empty rooms as rooms were either marked occupied or vacant.

arrived wet cold night 7 pm to be told no room as overbooked...I had booked online days b4.... so deliberate over book and no advance warning ( they had emailed trying to upsell an upgrade though ), so wait and taxi to their sister hotel a mile further out of town well in boring suburbs away from central Vienna ( why would I want to visit the suburbs? ) So the comparable booking is not comparable ..more e star and basic level..more simple tourist than business standard. . really so nonchalant by this big hotel chain..Dn not trust them

Room was very dirty and used. In the bathroom was lots of hair, a wet towel, a used towel. Some bathroom products that don’t belong to hotel. A used coffee mug. And someone key card and holder with their checking and check out info. Very strange. Staff was great to give new towels. Not sure what happened. Could be a freak accident or someone missed cleaning or double checking. Other wise everything else was great.

While I was on business, my family came along and they enjoyed their stay. They loved breakfast which probably had something to do with the mimosas. They also visited the lobby bar where everything was excellent. They especially enjoyed the housemade chocolate chip cookies served with hot chocolate or espresso. My wife especially enjoyed the cheese spread!

We also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was very close to the train, shopping mall, city center and the sightseeing tour stops. Nothing was out of the way.

The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating!

Had business right across the street at the Vienna International Center (VIC). A little bit away from the city center but right on the U1 line. Hotel is in very good condition, large rooms in excellent conditions. Very good buffet breakfast but long lines to use the coffee machines. Not much in the neighborhood besides the large conferences centers. Good service at the hotel bar at night. Airport bus stops right outside the hotel but only runs once per hour. Overall good choice for business in the area.

Had to wait an hour and a half for our room to be ready once we got there.
The lady behind the desk (a tall blond lady) showed her contempt for people who had problems by keep rolling her eyes at them there was no, what I would call customer care or putting the customers needs first. Just couldn’t wait to get rid of the person they were talking to.
I asked her for a map of the city she pointed to a tear off pad which had a map on it then the next day I asked another receptionist some directions and she pulled out a proper full information map which was very useful.
The breakfast was not great, not a good choice at all nd many times went to get something to eat and the heated trays ere empty.
The cleaning in there was unbelievably.
I saw an Asian lady who looked as if she had some authority wiping all the bits that people had left on the table from their breakfast on to the floor and just leaving a mess around the table.
I thought she’d be back to clean it up but she didn’t.
Went to the bar and ordered some drinks of a night time and the bar man was extremely offish.
There was never any milk or coffee left in our room in the morning so when we came in of a night time there was nothing to drink so I had to keep going to reception to ask for some.
I’d tell reception how much to bring and when it eventually turned up I had to send the poor girl back for more!
On a good note, the train station was across the road and the public transport was superb, very easy to use.

So it was OK but my executive room included in-room mini bar service only updated every 2-3 days, and had only had 2 bottles of beer and juices (no shots or wine). In-room coffee only refreshed every 2-3 days so I had 2 coffees and then none for 2-3 days. They should be clear of their limitations since I paid for an executive room. The room was good and the cleanliness fine. No issues there

Good location to the conference centre

Staying for a conference at Vienna Centre. Location was good for the conference centre but there is nothing else around and the area is quite run down. The hotel is ok - check in was smooth although one of the party was given a room with someone else already in it. We had the executive room with breakfast included - the first morning at breakfast one of the party was not able to have breakfast as it was not on the room. It was hassle to get it sorted but was eventually. The bar closes at 11.30 am and does not stay open for residents, and there is nothing else around the hotel. On our final day there was a music event in the foyer of the hotel and all the furniture had been moved. We had nowhere to sit and work. We tried to sit in the bar but they would not allow us as we didn't buy a drink or anything to eat (even though the bar was empty!). We were then put in a corner behind the coat racks for the event taking place. Breakfast is lovely and lots of fresh choice. The hotel is a little tired and could do with a refresh but overall a good stay for a business trip near the conference centre.
