Good location within walking distance of Port Lympia and Old Town, with trams every few minutes to train station etc. Room was basic but clean and functional and was well equipped for self catering.
Great price for decent accommodation in Nice.

Overall we had a good and comfortable stay. The room had everything we needed. The hallway carpet needs to be replaced. It has ugly stains all over. The room itself was clean. Convenient location. The construction across the street didn't bother us because our room was facing the courtyard. Would stay there again.

Rooms look nothing like the photos, and were dirty. There is construction on the road outside the hotel so it is inaccessible by car. By food, the sidewalk is gravel so it’s impossible to wheel your luggage. Woman at front desk was not at all friendly.

Great for convenience

Off peak stay for one week was great value overall. The room is quite big, kitchenette, sink, kettle, refrigerator and hob. En-suite adequate. Plenty of room in wardrobe with lots of hangers. Air conditioning and a small balcony. The location is perfect, 6 mins walk to Garibaldi (L2) tram station, which goes directly to airport. Also, 12+ bus stops right outside.

Cute safe place good for a sleep/shower before and after exploring the city. The door is password protected which was nice and there was basically always someone at the desk.

Only negatives were the toilets made the halls/rooms smell if they weren’t left closed and that there was always something happening (I understand regular maintenance needs to be done but two of our four days had someone in our room). Probably not always a things just seemed like a lot in such a short span.

Worst customer service ever. I had to leave the hotel right away, with that said I still was charhed for 2 nights. The receptionist guy was so rude, no parking for the car. He asked me to go park the car about 1 and a half miles from the hotel in the street. When told him the car is so expensive and it is so far to park rhe car, he said it is your problem. I went to see the room and looked uninviting. Don't advise

Big construction site right across the Street made for quite a lot of noise though nothing the hotel could control. Front desk personnel are friendly & helpful. Property is worn & needs renewing. Great location near restaurants, bars, grocery, public transit. Easy walk to Old Nice. Be cautious of purse snatchers & pickpockets in the area.

This was single-highhandedly the dirtiest hotel we've stayed at in the Nice area. There was black mould all over the bathroom and the hotel in general was dirty. The area surrounding the hotel is very unsafe at night. We ended up leaving after only one night.

Room with a balcony which should have been nice, but other folks staying there were out on their balconies middle of night smoking, having arguments; a generator ran a few nights - no cleaning, no clean towels - definitely not a hotel, but an apartment living arrangement. The woman who hosted the breakfast every morning was very nice! Folks at the front desk were nice too!

This Adagio was just fine for our travels. The room was pretty big for a hotel room and had a little balcony overlooking a courtyard. The little kitchen was small but efficient. Our only issue - and not the fault of Adagio at all - the city is tearing down a huge building across the street and the sidewalk was all torn up. The hotel is right around the corner from the major tram line - close but spared the noise it creates. Nice itself is wonderful!

Very basic but good location.

The property was basic and rather dated. The living area was large and had a table for eating. The thing we missed most was there was no where suitable to dry our towels. There was no ventilation in the bathroom to allow our towels to dry. It would have been nice to have a towel radiator, perhaps the next time it will be refurbished they can provide this.
The location of the property was close to a tram stop. The outside of the property looked like you are in the middle of nowhere, but in the parallel street behind the property is a very busy high street with plenty of shops. There is a large Centre Commercial about 10 minutes walk away, with a huge Carrefour.

Staff are very unfriendly. Some of them are rude. Terrible customer service. Hidden cost, you have to pay $20 for cleaning which you discover there after you arrive. To change the towel you have to pay $5. Old furniture. The building is depressing. The kitchenette is super small. I will never go there again.

Ideal for old town

We were disappointed on arriving after a long day travelling that there weren't any teabags or coffee. We stayed in an appart hotel in Bordeaux which had this, so expected the same. We found the room small and cluttered. There was a unit that was inutile and made it difficult moving around. The bed had a plastic mattress protector that was so thin it didn't serve it's purpose as just ruched up and made an uncomfortable nights sleep.

this is a basic tourist hotel. Its in a good location in a not too busy area. Tram 1 runs up the street behind. Plenty of shops and food outlets nearby. Hotel staff are very helpful. The rooms have a small kitchenette so you can prepare breakfast and snacks.
We stayed 7 nights and made it very affordable.

1. Ladies will not like this location - the only mirror in the room is a head and shoulders in the bathroom above the hand basin which gets all steamed up after showering - so many people were commenting on the lack of a full length mirror in the room - I even heard a couple of girls saying they were going to the elevator to get a better view. Such a small point but so important for the ladies.
2. On day 2 I reported that the shower tray was not emptying - we were left standing in 50mm of dirty soapy water. Day 3 I mentioned again - it didn't get resolved until the day before departure -really not a good response.
3. We ALWAYS book a breakfast but when we arrived at about 0100 we were informed that breakfast was not included in our booking so being so late we ordered one for the morning - how disappointing - 9 euros each for a very sparse selection so I was glad in the end that we could make other arrangements - to be fair this mis-booking may have been the fault of Expedia but the food offering was rather paltry.
4. The hob - some rooms have inverted heat controls - so you have to turn the knob anti-clockwise to increase the heat - we spent more than an hour trying to boil some eggs and had to get reception to help - even they were unaware of the problem. Oh and make sure you you put the timer on - else nothing happens - it does mention this if you happen to read the card...

Room was fine, location is not bad, 5-10 mins walk to old town, 15 mins walk to beach. Someone had obviously been sick in the corridor near our room. It had been cleaned but a foul smelling stain left behind... Not great. Disappointed yo find the parking full when we arrived so had to park 20 mins away. My fault that though really, bad planning..

Very central to all areas of Nice,most being within walking distance. Once you have your bearings Old Town 3 min, Place Garabaldi 2min, Promenades Des Anglais 10 min (Castle end). Modern & Contemporary Museum 1min. Shopping area & Port 5/10 min. Day trip - Monaco Bus 100 is at the Port area €1.50 single fare, very scenic journey, Cannes Bus 200 further up the Promenade €1.50 single fare & takes almost 2 hours (we got the train back)Travelling back to the airport by No98 bus stop(€6 single fare)bus is a 5 min walk & takes 25min (We took a taxi from the airport on arrival €40!!). Studio is compact & contains cooking supplies, cutlery/delph etc,bathroom a little on the small side(they also have a handy laundry room) Staff here were very helpful & friendly from initial email enquires to reception requests. I would highly recommend the Aparthotel. ****

The location of the property was good - not far from Acropolis and Nice-Riquier train station. The rooms were fine as expected but the toilet was a little cramped - there was very little space between the toilet and the bathroom door. The amount of soap in the soap dispenser was not sufficient to last for 7 days. The staff at the front desk were at best indifferent and not very welcoming. It was a comfortable stay otherwise though we wouldn't probably come back to stay here again.

Good sized room, had fridge, hob and microwave so perfect for self catering. Great location. 24 hour reception apart from Sunday when reception closes 12-2pm. Breakfast available but didn't have it as Monoprix and Boulangerie are close by. Access code needed to get in from street so quite safe. Air conditioning in room. Would stay again.

The apartments are located close to the tram line plenty of shops and restaurants close by, the port and beach are 15 min walk. The apartments are ok the beds are comfy but they lack certain things - we had a balcony but nothing to sit on, we had to put the kettle and toaster on the floor to plug them in as there was no socket where the kettle was. There's only 1 mirror in the bathroom, nothing in the studio room (a full length mirror would have been nice) the pool was much appreciated as it was so hot.

Great Value for Money hotel close to amenities

The hotel was very easy to find from the airport, just get the 98 bus from the terminal and it’s 20 minutes down the coast road.
We had the superior double that included the kitchenette. The room was clean and enough space for our short trip of 5 days.
The downside was the double bed was small so we had very little sleep the whole trip. The room also had no mirror expect about the bathroom sink so that was frustrating.
The room had a nice little balcony and the shower was powerful and we never ran out of hot water.
The swimming pool on the roof of the hotel was a hidden gem, especially as when I used it there was no one else up there. It’s not the biggest pool but lovely enough to have a swim or sit with your feet over the edge and the views of the hills are stunning!

Great location to explore old town's outdoor market, unique shops of every kind, and any service you may need. Center a 10 min tram ride or 30 min walk. Tram to train station and Bus stops, including airport bus, nearby. Nice parks Room for 1-2 people had pots that were much too large to be efficient and wasted a lot of soap and water to clean. A paring knife would be helpful. Take or buy a pot holder (manique in French) as dishes get very hot in the microwave.

For a budget hotel and in such a splendid location it suited us for our stay.
I would hope they would install an oven as we had two hob rings and one didnt work. So not easy to prepare meals and we found eating out very expensive compared to the UK.

Getting to the hotel was very easy. get 98 bus from airport to the last stop which is promenade des art and adagio is facing the Acropolis. Going back to airport easy to. 6 euros one way.

8 nights in this hotel with pool with easy access to old and new town and beach. Perfect location, lovely staff and basic amenities. The pool was a welcome relief after hot days out but only 6 sun beds so didn't get to sit and relax, more of a dip and go! Good base for exploring. Towels and one day clean included for stays over 7 nights which was good. Safe in the room too which is helpful. Felt safe in hotel apartment and also in the area. Would recommend for short stays to explore.

Room over breakfast terrace. aircon didn't work but exhaust from other aircons came into room via broken pipes. no extractor fan working in shower room. absolutely filthy curtains. No kettle, coffee filter with no filter papers
Do not arrive between 12 and 2 on Saturday or Sunday as there is NO ONE to let you in.
Hotel not worth one star and would not use this group again.
Big disappointment at the beginning of our holiday as I needed to be able to cook my own fresh food. Don't know why we had pans big enough for a family of 12 !
Don't believe the photos. Roof terrace and pool is just a small pool and a very hot area of tiles to sit without chairs or sunshades.
Good thing Nice is so nice itself.

This hotel was perfect for my sister and I. The apartment was clean, beds were comfortable, staff very friendly. We had an apartment at the rear and it was very quiet. There was a bakery and convenience store a few doors away and it was a short walk to the tram. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We will stay here again.

Adagio Access Nice Acropolis

Only good thing about this \"hotel\" is the location,very close to the old town,the city centre and waterfront along with the bus stop to/from the airport and the tram.Two of us stayed there for 7 days, 26/04-03/05/2017.Room wasn't cleaned once during our stay, nor our towels were changed or the bin.We had to look out for the cleaners in the corridors in order to ask for toilet paper several times and to actually take the trash bag to them to be given a new one.The hot water in the shower was just for about 12-15 minutes and then went cold, asked for this on the first day to be told that that's how their showers work and that we had to wait for 40mins to use it again with hot water.We booked this hotel for its location and because it had a pool, when asked at the reception where the pool was and the opening times, the response was a mocking answer as to whether we wanted to use the pool now as there was light raining at that moment and to top that we've been told that the pool would open on the 1st of May something that nowhere was mentioned when booking.When the pool opened on that day, in our surprise found this amazing sign on the terrace where the pool was that we were prohibited to use any chairs,tables,listen to music,eat,drink or smoke up there.So us along with another 8 people were just sitting on the patio, on the floor by the pool. Wifi connection was poor most of the time and the bathroom was tiny.The pictures advertising this hotel have nothing to do with reality,

It's a well located hotel just above the old town and the staff were all very helpful and accommodating. Our biggest issues were stiff \"beds\" (sleeping benches?), a very tiny washroom with a dirty shower curtain and the wifi wasn't great. Otherwise, we had everything we needed for preparing meals, the laundry facilities on site are great and user friendly and the air conditioning control in the room was wonderful. You are minutes away from the tram, bus, groceries, restaurants and a ten minute walk away from the train station, We would definitely go back, good for the for the price!

Good location, terrible to park a car near by.

The hotel is nicely located close to the centre and the promenade. All within a walking distance 15-20 mins. The rooms were clean, i.e. no dust, rubbish, hair etc. but it needs refreshing. The walls were dirty, curtains unwashed for a long time etc.
The corridor is even more run down with spots on walls, on carpets etc. Low cost refreshement would make it so much nicer.
The most terrible is if you don't get a hotel parking space. We didn't and I spent an hour trying to find a spot to leave my small rented car. And you cannot pre-book your car park space!

Even the superior are very basic.The cleaners didn't come in once during our weeks stay.The swimming pool had no furniture what so ever around it leaving you to put towels on the tiled floor.Making sunbathing out of the question not good when its 90 degrees.Nice is lovely but this is not the place to stay

Disaster Easter break

We did not get the twin beds we requested. Which meant we had to cut our break short by one day. The hotel did nothing and hotels.com did nothing. The apartment was old and smelly and in need of refurbishment. Bathroom tiny and shower has a mind of its own. We will never stay with this chain of 'hotels' again and will never book with hotels.com again.

Ideal winter city break

We stayed at this hotel for a one week winter break in February. The reception staff were very helpfull and friendly and brought up additional pillows to supplement the very thin ones one the bed. We had one Breakfast in the hotel which was adequate, but chose to eat out for the rest of the week as their were ample cafes nearby. The hotel is situated ideally for access to the old town sightseeing or the new town for shopping. It is only a short walk to the tram stop which provides a cheap and fast way of getting around the town or to the train station for further day trips (Monaco & Italy). There is no room service for stays of a week but new towels can be ordered for an additional cost. The room had a free safe, small 2 ring electric cooker, microwave & fridge but was saddly lacking a kettle. Overall the room was suitable for purpose and was good value for money.

Everything we needed for our stay.

This is a fairly basic hotel/apartment complex but it was everything we needed and the added bonus of the kitchenette was perfect. The location is about 10mins from the seafront and less to some of the main shops. The only quibble we had was that we did not know the pool would not be open in October. We had booked the hotel under this pretence and therefore were slightly dissappointed but we did sea swim so wasn't the end of the world.

Nice is the best!

We spent a few nights here on our honeymoon and it was great. Clean, comfortable room and it was really nice to have a kitchenette, fridge and laundry service. Great neighbourhood, especially if you like to walk and explore like we do. It was very affordable and the concierges were great and gave us wonderful advice on what to do and where to go. Nice was our favourite destination and we would move there in a heartbeat!

Affordable and convenient

Good location within walking distance of shops and the beach. I was lucky to get a free parking space right outside of hotel but others might have problems with parking. The staff was helpful and the hotel itself seemed efficient and quiet. When we got our room the smell of the disinfectant was overpowering but got better over the course of the day. It was certainly clean. The bed was small but comfortable. We only stayed one night so the experience was limited.

Lovely friendly hotel

It's situated in a perfect area, about a ten minute walk to the beach and just two minutes from the quaint little shops and many various eating restaurants. The hotel I thought was perfect and thankfully had awesome air conditioning as the temperature was hot during our stay. The staff were all very friendly and courteous and spoke English well. Only problem I can say is that my boyfriend went for an afternoon shower after a day at the beach to find cold water only, they explained you get so many litres of hot water a day in the tank which didn't make sense as we hadn't been there, but after the engineer had been it was back on in minutes, didn't have a problem any other time. Our room had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay and would highly recommend this to anyone especially for the price. I loved being in old town nice rather than anywhere else on the main nice area. The tour train for 8 euro found on the promenade was worth it and also don't be put off by everyone telling you about the beach being 20 euro each day, we was on the public beach (immaculately clean as is all nice) for free, it's stone all over so highly recommend you purchasing from the many tourists gift shops the cushioned beach mats as it hurts the legs and elsewhere after long sessions of laziness :-) gorgeous views, just a beautiful place, the locals are extremely friendly. If I was to return to nice this hotel I would choose again, perfect location and well worth the money :-)

Great location but unusual hotel practices

We made a specific request for a room with twin beds and facing away from the main road, neither of which honoured, even though we had booked 3 months previously (this was acknowledge by the receptionist). Considering we were staying for 10 nights, we had hoped/expected a better service, especially as we would need somewhere to dry towels etc (you only get one room service if you stay longer than 7 nights). We managed to change the room the following morning. The new room (334) was fine apart from the fact that the towel rail had been screwed directly into the electrical wiring that powered the bathroom heater; by my wife and I received electric shocks when we got out of the shower. Although we reported this, the problem was not resolved; when the security person came to check the problem, he found no issue as he was wearing rubber-soled shoes! I had to resolve issue myself by turning off the circuit-breaker for the heater.
The hotel has an excellent location; easy reach of the harbour, old town, beach, supermarkets and the new town. The roof-top pool is always a bonus, however, the management now have a draconian policy in place prohibiting any kind of blow-up mats. The pool area has no seating, loungers or similar and so you have to lie on a tiled floor. The manager explained that there had been ‘complaints’ and that the mats had caused ‘problems’ but didn’t go into details. Ironically, the mattresses actually take up less room than towels fully laid out

Well placed excellent value for money. It is a budget hotel but it is a good one. I would definitely recommend if you want to see the sights and not spend too long in your room.

great place to stay in Nice. near old town, trams and buses. room was clean and comfortable. balcony to sit out on.
cooking facilities good. no kettle but we had read that in a review and took our own, we left as a gesture to future occupants. would stay there again if we visit NICE.
