The pool was closed, and despite the numerous emails welcoming us to the hotel, no one informed us. The bathroom smelt of sewers. The carpet was dirty and the hotel needs updating. We will not be staying here again.

Really appreciated the water fountains on each floor. Staff super friendly. Bar/restaurant lovely. Breakfast was ok, although could have had a couple more options on the cooked section. Shame that the pool was closed as we did not realise this prior to booking and we booked based on the pool.

I had a truly great experience with the staff — they are attentive, professional, and always ready to help with any issue. They make you feel completely comfortable in the property, just like being at home. Every single team member I interacted with was exceptional. I dealt with four or five people in total, including a wonderful front office manager who went above and beyond to resolve any concern and ensure my stay was perfect. I would definitely come back. An outdated but clean hotel with wonderful, friendly staff. Walking distance to everything you might want in Nice. The amenities (shower, bath, sinks) are old, and might back up a bit- but clean. If you're lucky, you might be able to grab a free parking spot in front of the hotel.

Hotel is perfectly located to access Old Nice, the train station, bus stops, trams, etc to get to all surrounding areas. The staff were excellent but especially the bar/restaurant area. The main lobby, restaurant and outdoor areas including pool were well maintained, the hallways and rooms themselves were a bit older with stained carpets, thus my lower review for the facilities.

Probably best to stay elsewhere.

As an Accor member, i tend to use Novotel quite often as i travel plenty. This is the worst Novotel I've stayed in so far. The smell in the room and the corridoor is horrible and the old stained carpets will give an answer to that smell. I'm suprised as you tend to find Novotel have a quite uniform quality and feel you expect. The service was quite rigid also, small things like there not beinf a fresh bottle of hand wash from the previous guest and when I called to ask reception as we'd ran out they replied \"impossible\" to do and I could come down and ask??.. little things like this make you feel asking for anything is a chore. All round needs a face lift as that run down feel doesn't match the brand. The one thing I did find pleasent was the mattress which was really comfortable once you get past the issues.

Property is in a good location and can walk to most places, Old Town and Museums in 25-30 minutes.
Positives- restaurant very good quality food. Tried it for dinner one evening and paid similar amount we’d pay for a meal elsewhere. Breakfast was also good value with lots of choice, something for everyone including health conscious travellers. So if you like getting up for breakfast, I’d recommend paying for this with your booking which works out cheaper. We paid €21 each on the day.
Rooftop terrace with swimming pool was a nice feature. Drinks served there at set times but we didn’t use this.
The door lock of one of our rooms was faulty, the key fob would not work but this was quickly rectified by the staff and engineer. The property needs a bit of updating. Carpets in our room were marked and need replacing. Our sons’ bathroom screen wasn’t fully functional ie couldn’t be kept open or ajar. Basin drain smelled a bit. The gym was poorly equipped so some disappointment there.
Overall an ok hotel, I’d rate it as a 3 star hotel. Ok stay, nothing special or amazing.
A small Lidl was nearby for snacks and pastries (includes a bakery).

Do not get confused with the name says centre, this hotel is not even near central Nice or beach. We had to take taxi or walk every morning and evening to go to somewhere we can have food/drinks or site seeing. Hotel is just cheap nothing else.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent stay at Novotel Nice Centre. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet the standards expected from your brand, and I am requesting a refund due to the following issues:
•Uncomfortable beds that made it very difficult to rest. We had to ask that the spare bed be made up because we couldn’t sleep in the proper bed and in fact this was worst !
•Broken shower and screen, which caused inconvenience during my stay. And water to poor onto the floor which we had to keep mopping up.
•Hotel pool out of service, with no prior notice given. The only reason we booked the hotel was because of the rooftop pool.
•Unclean areas, including visibly dirty spaces around the hotel.
•Lift service extremely poor, with waiting times of up to 20 minutes.
•Very poor-quality breakfast, far below expectations for a Novotel hotel.
•Broken public toilets, which were unacceptable in terms of hygiene and comfort.

These issues severely impacted my stay and made the experience unpleasant and frustrating. I trusted Novotel’s reputation for quality and service, but what I encountered fell far short of that standard.

Given the number and seriousness of these problems, I believe a full refund is a fair resolution. I kindly ask that you process this refund at your earliest convenience and confirm once it has been actioned.

I hope this matter can be resolved swiftly and amicably. Thank you for your attention.

Bon dans l’ensemble , mais la piscine n’est malheureusement pas se dont je m’attendais , l’espace est trop petit , beaucoup trop familiale , donc impossible de même se baigner dans la piscine ,
Un regret immense étant donné que je réserve cet hôtel pour cela ,
Et une petite déception pour le petit déjeuner 22€ pour avoir des œufs brouillés immangeable et du jus d’orange en boîte de chez carrefour c’est un peu chère surtout que c’est quand même deux éléments important dans un petit déjeuner ,

Staff were pleasant enough; mostly…. However. Cleanliness in the rooms & bathroom could be improved. The pool bar wasn’t open during the day and when it was, past 3pm, the drinks menu was limited. Our flight wasn’t till later that evening and like many other hotels I’ve stayed in, including 3* hotels, there were no shower facilities to freshen up before the flight. I’d have happily paid a small fee for the privilege but this wasn’t even an option. More 3* than 4* sadly. The location was useful for old town visiting.

Our stay was just ok, wouldn’t rush back to this hotel. The reception staff seemed constantly stressed and bickering either with each other or having guests complain to them. Hotel and rooms were very clean, although the first morning our cleanser literally threw our duvet over, no clean coffee cups or glasses, no bins emptied ect, however the cleaner for the following 3 mornings did a fantastic job.
Breakfast was the same every morning not a huge selection but enough, no toaster tho.
The pool on the 7th floor was why we booked this hotel, they could do with more loungers and normal ones that you can relax on and not rock back and foe everytime you moved, They looked like they had a pool bar but it was never opened so you have to go to the first floor restaurant to get a drink, would have been nice to also have some music playing also.

Good location, but a rooms are a little tired.

Good location: close to Pl Garibaldi and so to old town (15-20 mins). The rooms are quite tired, and we were surprised to find that the hairdryer was the old-fashioned useless type, not commonly seen since 20 years or so! But otherwise the hotel was good.
I had to change my booking and the hotel - Louis - were super helpful, so I'm very grateful for that.

The first night was not pleasant at all. The room was definitely not what we saw when I booked the hotel. Room was very old, carpet was dirty, and boogers were in the walls. I called the receptionist and the receptionist was really nice, I don’t remember his name, he helped us change room, the other room was better. But still carpets were very very dirty. AC was good. Parking was easy- there’s a garage in front- pay 20 per night or 65 per 5 nights. Area around the hotels was not the best, we had to use the car or uber to get to the old town. First night we walked to the old town, when we were coming back we saw a guy with a gun walking around, we felt unsafe, area full of homeless and people fighting in the streets- area was not good. The receptionist was nice but I would not stay here again. We have used this chain of hotels before and was never disappointed like in this one.

The staff is unprofessional, unkind, raised logistics claims that they were too lazy to resolve, although they were actually their duties, rude attitude, poor quality room service and brackfast, bad smell in the bathroom, old batteries and used in the bathroom, the elevator gets stuck with tourists inside, insufficient cards for the room and they asked us to pay for the second card, then they changed their minds and gave it to us for free.

Would recommend the hotel. Polite and helpful staff. Concierge service for our baggage when we arrived early and needed somewhere to store them before our evening flight. Good views from the rooftop pool. One star off as the refreshment stand at the pool wasn’t open. Ten mins walk to the old town or 2 stops on the tram which is only 100m away.

Staff were mostly nice and helpful! Specially the front desk staff were quite friendly. The pool is not really that usable as its not warm water and during our stay the water was cold and it’s like a small house pool!
The room closet smelled like vinegar for some reason and most of my clothes were smelly after few days in the closet. The room was spacious and comfortable apart from the vinegar smell everything else was good. Btw, they won’t provide wine glasses or cutlery or dishes for the room just two coffee mugs and two paper cup.

We stayed here for the start of our honeymoon. When we checked into our room it was ok. Not updated - very basic. AC worked, hot water worked. The only soap they provide in the shower is body gel and shampoo. Bring your own bar of soap and conditioner. I actually asked them for a bar of soap and they gave it to me. You do need to know France and French a bit to stay here. There is a bit of a language barrier. Reception was as helpful as they could be. They answered our questions to the best of their ability which was sometimes not good enough. For example we asked them if there were any restricted zones for driving like something you would need a pass on your car for. We rented a car so we needed to know this. They said no restrictions all good but then while we were driving Waze said you are entering a restricted zone which you can be fined for if you do not have a pass. We were angry that the reception staff and car rental service we used did not inform us about this. Not enough chairs or lounge chairs on the rooftop where the pool is. You kinda have to fight for a spot. There is a cafe/restaurant downstairs which is very good and they have a cute outdoor area where you can sit. You can park across the street in the parking garage in a designated spot for Novotel guests. But it costs 25 euro a day. This hotel location is amazing for going to the Old Town of Nice. Very central location where you can easily drive to anything. I would stay here again.

Staff at Novotel was very good and very helpful. Room assigned to us at a cost of 200 dollars per night, had leak from bathroom ceiling and floor was all wet. Reception desk did assign a different room and we had to move our stuff. Bathroom too small. Not happy. Novotel in Warsaw was 10x better and less expensive.

The reception and dining area were very modern, but the rooms needed refurbished there was no mirror above the dressing table area, and the separate WC was in our opion not very hygienic, the toilet was stained. Carpet was covered in marks and not vacuumed during our 2 day stay.

The hotel is amazing and is fantastic value for money. My partner and two children stayed there for three nights. We love the rooftop pool. Most staff were really friendly. Our checking out was sadly marred by the receptionist wearing glasses ( didn’t get her name). She was very rude. Informed us a taxi so the airport would take 30 minutes snd cost 60 Euros - our Uber cost 24 Euros and took 10 minutes. A previous male receptionist when we enquired about using the pool once we’d checked out as our flight wasn’t until the afternoon said we could use the pool. She said we weren’t allowed up to the pool which we understood but her manner was very rude and unfriendly. Everything else about our stay was lovely.

The Location is ok , walking distance from the old city.
The room was clean .
They check- out is at 11 am but they let me to stay one more hour free .
Check-in time is at 4 pm but the hotel didn't update Expedia , I couldn't use the pool because I didn't have a room card yet.
At the pool there are no towels nor in the room so you have to go down to the reception to get a towel but nobody tells you this before .
At the bar around 10:30 pm i could order only food with pork because they ran out from Piza or other food.

Far from city centre. Bathroom had a bad smell even after cleaning and water had a sewage smell to it. Staff was nice and pool was good.

Nice City Hotel

Hotel very clean and welcoming. Roof top pool nice for a dip when weathers hot. Bed very comfortable. Quite a walk to Old Town (but very direct down one road) and back but Tram line not far of you need it. Good city hotel.

Had the executive room. Recomended. Big tv , good AC, amazing shower and good bed.
Good breakfast. Good location. Close to Nice Riquier train station. Easy access to Monaco, nice beaches and airport. Line 1 Tram nearby and easy to buy ticket with the Nice Ticket app.
