For over 20 years I’ve traveled and been in countless hotels and honestly the Wild Bear Inn is the worst. We’ve stayed from April 30 to May 5 2026 and it’s been horrible at this hotel. Here are a list of problems we’ve experienced.

1. Had to be moved from 3102 to 2205 because the water pressure was very weak and the fixtures failed (hot and cold). Maintenance attempted to fix it but failed. We had no water.

2. Then in 2205 water pressure was still very weak making it extremely difficult taking a shower.

3. On the day we were to leave, I was in the shower, lathered up and the water shut off! You can imagine what I had to do. Dried off with soap all over me. The water slightly came back on so I sat in the tub with water slowly coming out of the spout (not enough pressure to come out of the shower head) and shaved my face.

4. Brushing teeth was difficult with no or limited water

5. Cannot walk in socks. The floors are extremely slippery

6. Entrance door is hard to open and close

7. Bath room has no exhaust fan

8. Hot water handle in tub/shower had to be pushed in and turned clockwise to turn on. Have to continue pushing and turning until it catches

9. The mattresses are so high you literally have to hop in to the bed and getting out of bed is dangerous by slipping on the floor if you're wearing socks.

Finally, members of the staff agreed we deserved compensation, but management refused.

You make your own judgement. This is a hotel owned by Westgate in FL.

I had never stayed here before this trip, but will definitely be staying again. It’s an older hotel (as is almost everywhere in PF), but they are doing some upgrades. The beds were super comfortable, the staff was amazing, and the location couldn’t have been better considering it’s right at a light. We didn’t get to try the restaurant, but it must be good considering there were people lined out the door every morning for breakfast.

Staff were accommodating and switched our room when we realized we were stuck in a room with zero windows and not a nice location. They moved us next day and we were thankful.

We did not receive new towels daily and that wasn’t nice but we survived.

Great location and quiet spot! We come back every Easter and look forward to our yearly visit

Clean comfortable rooms located in a great location in Pigeon Forge. Inn is a quick drive away from downtown Gatlinburg or the Smoky Mountain National Park. It was mostly quiet at night with the exception of a few kids running up and down the walkway two nights. We were not given the free pancake breakfast that is to be included with the reservation. The desk clerk stated it was due to booking through third party (Expedia)—something to consider if you’re looking to take advantage of the breakfast at the inn. Even without the breakfast I would recommend this place to stay while visiting the area!

We stayed for two nights. We arrived late and the clerk was very courteous. We quickly got to our room. Eventually, we noticed the TV remote did not work. The clerk reported it to maintenance and in no time the gentleman arrived and reprogrammed the remote. All was good again. We enjoyed our stay.

The reservation included breakfast. However, when we went to the restaurant during breakfast hours, we were informed that there was no more breakfast available. They said they had run out of breakfast food. We had to eat breakfast outside the hotel. They didn't offer us any alternative. Yet, they were serving food to other guests.

Got sent to a resort that I didn’t book,so they tried to charge me more I refused. So they sent back to the original booking for which they told me they were having problems with something that never materialized. And now I left that room spotless and they are giving me the run around. So no I am not happy with my stay there.

Friendly and welcoming check in. We were given breakfast vouchers for each day of our stay. Nice free pancake and egg breakfast served at the restaurant on site.

The room was a bit small but very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities.

I would give this place an A- based only on the weak water pressure in the shower.

The room was clean and looked like it had some updates. The toilet needs to be updated to a handicap height. The old toilet make you feel like your sitting on the floor. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable. Please add a sheer curtain in the window so the heavy curtains can be open and let light in.

There was only one girl working in the lobby when we checked in so the wait time was way too ling. The access to the rooms was terrible, you had to park in back to go to the room in the front. Also the showers were so bad that the sink water was harder than the shower water. Not an ideal stay at all, we stayed once and will not be back.

We had trouble from the time that we arrived. There was no hot water, the safe didn’t lock the room was so dated the floor had a dip in it with a crack. The furniture was horribly dated, TV was tiny, the phone didn’t work to call the front desk, the walls were paper thin you could hear everything through the walls. The only reason I would give them even a one is because the bed was comfortable. Avoid the Westgate representative in the lobby that tries to lure you to a 90 minute meeting that ends up being 3 hours.

No elevator, which was really my fault for not checking to make sure there was one available. The shower water pressure was very low. Hot was cold and cold was hot when trying to turn water on. Toilet is extremely low to the floor. A lot of road noise and also the people in the room beside us were extremely noisy, slamming doors and talking very loudly from 1:40 am to 4:30 am, which is not the fault of the hotel.
On the positive side, it’s in a great location, beds were very comfortable and economical priced.

We love staying there! It’s a very good pet friendly hotel! Only complaint we have kids were screaming and throwing a ball up against the building around 10-1030 at night hitting cars with their ball. I contacted the front desk and they said they would get security. Other than that great stay. I wish there was free breakfast though. And keurig coffee makers in rooms.

Great Stay with Southern Hospitality

My wife and I wanted a little weekend getaway and stumbled upon the Wild Bear Inn. The ladies up front were incredibly accommodating and polite — I had forgotten my license, but they were able to switch everything into my wife’s name quickly and without any hassle.

The room itself was just fine. The facility is older, but you can tell they’ve updated what they can without losing that rustic mountain charm. Everything was clean, and the mattress looked brand new.

The location is perfect — right at the end of the Pigeon Forge “strip,” so you’re close to everything but away from the heavy noise and traffic. Because it’s an older building, you might hear a little more sound between rooms, but that’s to be expected and not something the staff can control.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The service, cleanliness, and location make this a great spot for a relaxing weekend. We’d definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable getaway in Pigeon Forge.

Location is excellent. Very clean. Only complaint is how loud the road is and dark the bathroom is. Would stay here again. Wish they had something to dull the highway traffic it sounds like your door is wide open and makes it difficult to sleep as the highway never slows down. I brought a fan so I cranked it to help drown some of the sound, it was still there but did help. Very clean and comfortable otherwise. Check in was busy - 3 people checking in- and took over 30 minutes so be prepared for that. All in all I would stay here again, simple CLEAN and very. Convenient location.

The room was well kept and comfortable.
It was a pet friendly room with white coverlets. I spread a blanket on the white so my dog wouldn’t track anything on the white spread.
Two things about the room needs attention.
The area above the door was not finished. The tub had been resurfaced and it was pealing with large chucks now missing.

Clean room older need bathroom remodel parking is a bit of a steep hill nightmare on the strip with view so it was noisy till midnight. No elevator so to get to seco g floor you must walk up a very steep painted concrete ramp uk was a bit of a challenge with a cane. Going down the as very scary due to it being wet from rain.

This place was a lifesaver. We came to pigeon forge not have ANY idea of how crowded it was. We were there for one night so we ate dinner at the hotel and ate breakfast at the hotel so we didn’t have to go anywhere. We got the hell out of town as fast as we could!

Had an issue when we arrived. Told clerk we had to leave a day early and she explained the process of doing this using Orbitz. Over the next three days, the inn refused to assist when Orbitz would call saying they were too busy and to call back. This was never resolved and I paid for a night we weren’t there. Very unprofessional staff and response.

We had a terrible sleep, the car activities outside the room ran till 3am. We arrived after 10pm and the clerk should have tried and give us a room in the back. She also said it was on the third floor, and told us to go from the back, it was really the second floor but in the front of the building. The room was ok, it was clean but really old. to be honest not sure if any rooms were available in the back, but maybe saying all the room in back full might have helped. We could only walk to the cook out which was swamped by these car people, it did feel a bit unsafe.
