I initially had doubts how good Surestay at Pigeon Forge would be (based on the price I paid), but I was nicely surprised how superb it was once I stayed there. The property looks just average from the outside, especially at the location, but let the looks not fool you. The room we stayed (with the kitchenette) was excellent, it was very spacious, the walk in shower was good, the stove top worked as expected, toiletries were nice. The staff at the front desk (I think her name was Melinda) was very friendly and gave us the induction pans for cooking. The location was good too (though a bit far from Smoky Mountains). The breakfast was excellent with all expected food items. Overall it was great value for the money.

Our room was large with a kitchenette including a good size fridge with freezer large enough for our ice blocks. The A/C was quiet and VERY effective. The property looks a little run down from the entrance on the backside, but it is off the main street, and inside it is very nicely remodeled. Beds were comfortable, lighting was bright, hot breakfast was good everyday. We were looking for a good value and did not care about a pool. This property fit our needs and well exceeded our expectations! Compared with staying across the street where our daughter's family stayed, we saved $700 over 4 nights - a GREAT value and recommended.

Excellent hotel for the price! The room was clean and spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen that made our stay very convenient. The complimentary breakfast was good and offered a nice variety each morning. The location is perfect—close to many popular attractions, restaurants, and shopping, making it easy to get around. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Breakfast was nice. Room was clean. Parking was good. The employees were very friendly and courteous. The employees went out of their way to help with what we needed. You just had to ask.

The management/owners tended to be a bit rude. Like they didn’t want to have much to do with you. So we just went to the employees when we had a problem which was very seldom. We made sure to tip the employees according to how we felt that they had taken care of our needs, which were outstanding.

The staff were helpful but uncertain if the tv's allowed for a traveler to login to their personal Netflix account. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had good pressure. The shampoo, conditioner, and lotion was a small amount. I would appreciate paper towels for the kitchenette. There were no cooking equipment such as pots, pans, or eating needs such as plates, or silverware. We found the room to be hot and had trouble getting the room cool enough to sleep on the first night. The refrigerator was large for the room. There was plenty of floor space. Overall, everything was clean. There was a hair in the shower near the top of the wall that I think the cleaning staff overlooked. Also, there was a st8cker stuck on the bathroom floor. I pulled it up with ease. Other than those two things, everything else was clean.

Positive: The bed was comfortable and provided a good night’s rest. The linen was clean. You can tell the room has been renovated, but . . .

Cons:
1.) Although the shower is handicapped accessible, the running shower water flows onto the bathroom floor. Luckily, there were extra towels in the room that we used to soak up the excess water.

2.) The floors are filthy - bed area, “closet” area, & bathroom. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt slickness as well as a few sticky areas as I walked across the floor. When I made it to the other side of the room, I looked back at the floor near the door and could see shoe prints on the dark colored flooring. I immediately went to Big Lots and bought a swiffer to clean the floor enough to make me feel like I wasn’t treading in someone else’s filth. I shared my disappointment with the floors during check out. The desk attendant said they are aware of the problem and the owner has been trying different cleaning products, but nothing seems to work. The solution is replace the flooring before someone falls.
The floors in the closet area and bathroom are light-colored tile. I’m really not sure what color it’s supposed to be because it’s so dirty. The grout is filthy. The closet area flooring was slick as well - I did not walk anywhere in that room without my shoes on my feet.

We had 2 rooms during our visit because of how many people we had in our group. 1 room had a messed up lock, got switched to a room where the ac didnt work. Eh. Other room was fine- very strong perfume smell gave me a headache but left the door open when possible and it dissapated after about 2 days. Staff was pretty helpful. Pretty close to everything. I was very surprised that 36 years after the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act, this hotel doesn't have an elevator or ramp to the second floor. I was informed by the gentleman at the front desk that I should have requested a first floor room, but I had no idea that there wasn't an elevator. The lack of an elevator needs to be in BOLD ALL CAPS on any place where reservations can be made for this hotel. I'm 63 and my mother, who was traveling with me, is 83. Hiking up to the 2nd floor was not something I want to repeat.

Rooms have been recently renovated. Basic but they were okay and clean. The outside area isn’t kept up very well and seemed like an area where some shady activity takes place. We originally had a ground floor room but you can hear every step from the room above and it sounded like a dance party was going on above us. I requested another room upstairs and the woman working the front desk was very understanding and helpful and moved us to an upstairs room that was much quieter. There are no amenities other than breakfast which we didn’t try. Which was fine for us for a couple of nights.

I closed the door to the room and could still see outside. That gap continued to allow the room to smell like old cigarette smoke. My shoes stuck to the floor. I could hear people walking around upstairs. I don’t mean heavy feet I mean the floor squeaking and heavy feet. I know this is one of the cheaper places to stay but the whole vibe is not good. The bad thing is I wasn’t the first person to complain that night. The shower floor looked like it had something on it. We left. Even being very tired and found a nicer place to stay without as much traffic pulling up outside and letting their diesel truck run outside the door for an hour. At the time we were not offered a refund of any kind. We prepaid thru hotels.com and I was told to contact the property thru that. I have yet to hear from them.
