Room was in need of updating, chips out of furniture, bed was off centre to side tables (no idea why) duvet cover had a rip in it, shower needed instructions as taps were still flowing when shower was on, no conditoner as advertised. Overall I was not impressed with the room.
I was not told there was a buzzer to get into the hotel after hours, if it wasn't for another guest letting me in, I would have been outside freezing.

Joy and Shoba were amazing! At the reception Joy was very welcoming and made sure we were well looked after. The rooms were clean and all the towels were clean. The location is great and perfect because it is right in the city centre! Great if you are taking the train in.

Booked to stay here but on the day of arrival was called by the hotel and told I’d been moved to the Ibis around the corner. Wasn’t offered an explanation or a reduced rate. (Cost £90 to book a room in the Mercure for this date, booking at the Ibis on the same day was £70).
I would not recommend booking here.

Didnt get to stay as they had oversold the rooms at the Mercure, a practise that I thought was outdated. We were advised (two rooms) by phone is the afternoon that they had booked us into the Ibis Styles, whcih they also own. We had to accept as at short notice we couldn't risk not having a room.
Booked a Classic Double and was given a stadard Twin (2 single beds) in the Ibis. When I checked on arrival there was a price difference of circa. £20 i.e. the Ibis was lower is cost and complained requesting the difference was refunded and they claimed that they had paid more, despite me showing proof that the rate I had on Hotels.com was £20 lower.
Believe this is a scam to fill up their other lower cost hotels - would never stay again with any hotels in the group.

we stayed in the Mercure last night and upgraded our room to a Privileged one, thus gave you housecoats and slippers.

The room was ok but very dated, radiator in room but a cold draft circulating the room.
Shower was cold and couldn’t get it to heat up,
Therefore sink tap warm dangerously hot !!!

We didn’t eat there as we had plans, staff lovely and allowed us to leave our case in our room earlier

The front desk staff was fabulous. Very welcoming and helpful. But even though we got there early our room wasn’t ready until an hour after check in. We’d not slept so that was very frustrating. Also, if you need an electrical outlet near the head of your bed you are out of luck. Had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed in order to use my cpap machine. Also no way to regulate the heat in The room. It was far too hot.

Able to check in on arrival at 1.30. Stayed in a privilege room. Well presented, the wee extras made it a bit special, including the coffee machine. Huge bed, quiet room. Spotlessly clean. Enjoyed a bath, don’t have one at home, with lovely complimentary toiletries. Didn’t have breakfast. Only stayed one night. Cheery and helpful staff, including the cleaning staff who obviously work hard. Third time staying here, perfect city centre location… definitely returning and highly recomend.

My daughter said the bed was so comfortable! The staff were so catering, catered to my needs bringing up a tooth brush to our room, as I forgot mine. And plaster with wipes for my daughter as she has blisters on her feet. Thank you to the wonderful staff, really appreciate every one of you for looking after us.

Location and parking is great. We had a twin room which was very crammed, struggled to get round the bed as the desk is in the way.

Pillows desperately need replaced, it felt like I was sleeping on a brick sadly.

Rooms could be done with an upgrade, a lot of decor looking poor and bathrooms are aging.

Mercure Glasgow is well positioned to see the city and the sites.
The staff offer excellent customer service and the facilities of cafe/restaurant/bar all on site which was very helpful.
Our room was quiet, with good shower, and a comfy king bed.
We used the look sundry service, which we found to be a great service, and price was reasonable.
All in all, we found the hotel to be of a very good standard.

Breakfast is very hectic an excellent range but only when available !. So when I went for the hot choice there was no sausages, no bacon, no egg, no grilled tomatoes, no potato scone, no mushrooms. The bacon and sausage turned up within 5 minutes, then the mushroom 7 mins, A waiter or staff member noticed after 10 minutes and offered to bring some egg to our table when ready. He did do that as for the other items we just left it and had some toast instead. Apart from that issue the hotel and staff Are Excellent.

This is a very nice hotel. It is not the most modern facility but it is very clean. I had a lovely stay. The staff are so friendly and are very willing to help with anything. My only notice was there was no electric outlets by the head of the bed, so anyone using a BIPAP/CPAP machine would need a long extension cord. Maybe that can be provided. The bathroom was spotless. I used the plastic zip bag that was for extra pillows as a container for some clothes, instead of keeping some clothes in my case and having to open it frequently. A dresser with drawer space would be better, but this was a minor inconvenience. I had a very quiet room on the 6th floor. I would definately return to this hotel. The location is perfect and very convenient to everything you need. Also the Nespresso coffee machine and kettle were provided. That was sweet indeed. Also breakfast was available for a very reasonable fee which I did not use, as I don’t eat breakfast usually. The biggest compliment again, goes to all the staff. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant.

LOCATION: can't beat this; 5 to 12 min away walking to amazing areas and landmarks. BRKFST: YUMMY, all the fixings needed for a great start to the day! It is an older Hotel that visibly needs a revamp BUT the beds were comfy, good size bathroom and shower with tub! The staff were a delight!!! Callum at night, Joy in the morning, a blond at the brkfst and evening shift (sorry I missed your names). As a past Hotellier of 25 yrs, all the employees were a delight and very welcoming, they say renos will come next year, I can only imagine how amazing this Hotel will be to bring it to the next level!! Wonderful stay im Glasgow, we truly enjoyed every moment :D

Los días que me quede salí caminando y me resultó muy comodo desde su ubicación.
El desayuno cuenta con lo justo y necesario, no me pareció excelente, pero por su precio estaba bien.
Un punto en contra es que en ningun momento pude encender la calefacción de la habitación, y tampoco estaba encendida cuando llegué.
La ducha del baño si me resulto muy incomoda ya que esta en el medio de la bañera y no en un lateral como se usa normalmente, esto es un punto en contra.
El resto de la habitación estaba bien, con un escritorio, mueble para la ropa y la cama muy comoda.

Asked if I could move room even stated I was more than happy to pay extra if I could be on other side of hotel. My issue was an external air conditioning or refrigeration system fan that was echoing up the enclosed space where my room was located. Reception were more than happy to assist though my complaint was not 1 they had heard before. I explained that I was checking out 0430 and that I’d be asleep early. They happily moved me to another room. From the 7th floor to the 4th floor still on the same side and closer to the recurring fan noise. Earplugs purchased at supermarket were a blessing

We had to pile our clothes on chairs. Its really a hotel for 1 or 2 nights only. No plugs by the bedside, only on the desk. Not a leisure hotel. Great location.

We arrived later in the evening and parked in the reserved lot but felt very unsafe. Very poor lighting and many people around with no security.
Our room was overcrowded with us having to climb over 1 of the beds to get to the other side of the room. Super inconvenient.
