The hotel was very clean, modern, and well maintained. The room was neat and comfortable, and the overall cleanliness was excellent.

However, there were a few disappointing aspects. The room did not provide a kettle, tea, coffee, or even basic complimentary biscuits, which are amenities many travellers expect. Even if these had been offered for an additional charge, it would have been helpful to have the option available.

The room lighting was also quite dim, making the space feel darker than expected. In addition, the breakfast buffet was limited, with fewer choices than I would have liked.

Overall, the hotel was clean and modern, but improvements to the in-room amenities, lighting, and breakfast selection would make the stay much better.

The room is small but was clean and fresh. I appreciated that the head of the bed could be put up and there is space underneath for luggage. The hotel location is very central and walkable.
We ate in the restaurant Vega (on the 7th floor) one night and the food was great. The dessert tart I had may have actually been my favourite dessert I had in Scotland our entire trip.
But...What I did not realize before I booked was that there is no door to the bathroom area.
The bedroom is open to the sink area and the shower and toilet each have their own door. What this equates to is zero privacy. The person you are with can hear all of your \"bathroom noises\" and see everything you are doing in the sink area.
Even couples need to have some privacy and this room offers none. For that reason I wouldn't stay here again.

I was delighted to be given a free upgrade to a suite on arrival. Slept very well. Room a comfortable temp and super comfy adjustable bed. Breakfast was good quality. Staff were friendly. It was quiet at night. Large tv. I thought the blinds are great. Perhaps other guest reviewers didnt figure out that there are both blackout and light filter blinds on each window. In my room at least. Shower and toilet were glass but completely private. Its all seen better days but was very clean. I just dont see any good reason to not have a kettle. I got very dehydrated as a result cos Im quite shy and as a solo female, didnt feel like going to the bar at 10pm just to get a drink. This is why i didnt give more stars. I get how it must be to do with carbon offsetting but it would be a better use of power to give guests a kettle and remove the pointless drinks cooler which isnt cold.

We were put into a disabled room for some reason. There was a huge stain on the carpet, and two smaller ones on the sheets. One blind was broken..
We really missed being able to have a cup of tea when we woke.
The advertising by the lifts said £10 for breakfast but ir turnedout that this was a Commonwealth Games promotion only.
The bed was verycomfortable.

Was quite disappointed with Yotel. Our room was the smallest we’d had while in Scotland. Barely able to walk around the bed. Lacked electrical outlets. Stains on the carpet and bedside tables were dirty. Luckily it was only a place to sleep so it did the job.
The only redeeming quality was the bar and bowling alley on the top floor. The breakfast buffet was as expected and a good value.

The refrigerator in the rooms don’t work. This was confirmed by the maintenance workers. He told us and other guests that the refrigerators are not ventilated properly. The front desk takes responsibility for nothing. We would ask for directions and they sent us the wrong way every single time. At one time they turned what should have been a 10 minute walk into a 70 minute walk. The T.V. Remote went missing in my room. When I asked for another remote, I was told that was not their problem.
The staff was of no help in any way.

We were allocated a disabled room which wasnt ideal for us but was fine. Shower was too low for example.

Room was spacious and kept clean during our 3 night stay.

The restaurant/bar on the top floor was good for our breakfast everyday (bit expensive!) and had lunch and drinks once.

Good location - Plenty of restaurants nearby and walking distance to the hydro on a nice day.

The water pressure in bathroom was extremely low, so low that using the hand held shower nozzle there was no water coming out. The hot water was barely warm.

There was no in room coffee, no place to get ice, no vending machine even though the elevator said that there was a vending machine on the ground floor. The refrigerator in the room didn’t work. When I asked how to turn it on, I was told that they were only there to keep food at the temperature it already was.

The room I stayed in was clean, the bed was comfy, the room was dark and quiet. It was a disabled room which I hadn't asked for. the bathroom was huge but there was no toilet lid and the wash basin was tiny even though the shower was good. There was no kettle in the room, which was a major disadvantage for me but you can get a drink from the cafe upstairs and bring it back to your room. Not brilliant. The staff were pleasant. The breakfast was ok, but not very warm, although you could get as much as you wanted.

The rooms need an update. Dirty carpet and stained mattresses.
Had a fire alarm go off at 2am, rushed out and not a single word from the staff no words of reassurance or explanation.
The next day the water went out for the majority of the day. The water in the morning was boiling hot and was unable to shower or even wash my hands. Eventually the water just stopped. Not happy. I had to reach out to gain an explanation. The staff finally left a letter and did end up going door to door but that was many hours later and only after it was restored.
I think communication needs to be prioritised going forward.

The bed was too near the wall on 1 side. Also 3 mirrors but only 1 had a socket at it.

This hotel was awesome. Great location right in the center.. steps from the train station. The staff was super friendly. They gave me a tea cup to take with me to my concert.. the rooms were clean and very modern. The showers were great.. and the rooftop dining area and bar was very nice in the morning. I will definitely stay at this hotel again and I recommended to anybody else who’s travelling in the area and wants an easy option close to everything.

Ideal to stay here when visiting Glasgow or days out by train. The room was very compact and had most things we needed. We would’ve like a kettle, but you can go up to the bar and have complimentary tea and coffee which we only found out about on the last day (we stayed for 6 nights).
There isn’t that much space to hang clothes if you’re staying for any length of time, but fine for a couple of nights.
We had the Scottish breakfast on the last morning, we prefer an English breakfast. The continental breakfast choice looked very good though. The staff in the breakfast bar were very helpful.

Upgraded room, which was really nice, lovely bed and shower. Sofa was a little bit sad as cushions would slide out. And no tea/coffee making facilities. Also vending machine downstairs out of order, so had to go out to buy coffee, which wasn’t great ☹️ I wake really early and just want to have a coffee in my pjs, but not possible ☹️ nice hotel though and great location ❤️

The staff was excellent, and it's across the street from Central Station in City Center. Hotel bar was cool, and plenty of other bars on that block.

The room was in good shape but WAY smaller than it looked online. We booked a Premium Queen. The bed was a Craft-matic style bed with a weird 80's style headboard/built-in side table. Only one side table. The bed literally took up the whole room. The only way to get into our suitcases was to tilt the bed all the way up, which made the foot of the bed move in toward the head. No desk, no chair, just a little foot stool to sit on while putting on your shoes. A friend of mine said it was \"very european\".

Only thing that was annoying was the lights that time out so you have to keep getting up to have them come.back on - a pain when you're relaxing reading or watching tv after a busy day of touring around. Would be great to have option to turn the sensor on for continuous light.

These are the reasons I didn't give it five stars, but they are very picky:
• No tea, coffee etc in the room.
• The room had a motion sensitive light, so as I was lying in bed reading, I was plunged into darkness. There was no switch by the bed so I had to get up at which point everything was bright again. I was worried it might come on in the night if I moved in my sleep, but it didn't, but it come on full when I got up for the bathroom, which woke me up more than I wanted. I suspect there was a way to manage all of this if I'd had time to get my head around it, but when you arrive at a hotel in the evening, you do't want to spend your time navigating lighting systems that are more technically complicated than they need to be.
• The same over-complication was on display with the bed. It was motorised to prop up (like a hospital bed). The button to lay it back was slightly awkwardly placed and the mechanism was noisy if you were lying on it at the time. I could help feeling that the same effect would be achieved more cheaply, efficiently and effectively by using the pillows of which there were plenty.
• If the hotel was determined to motorise something that didn't actually need it, it would have been better to motorise the blinds on the three windows which had to be lowered to prevent a full-length view to the outside world of the room (including bathroom facilities).

I love YOTEL Glasgow's location, right across the street from Central Station. The rooms are comfy, with a fully adjustable bed, privacy windows and shades, and very modern facilities. The A/C is so welcome - I can get the room as cold as I want (pretty chilly) for sleeping. The lights do keep shutting off because I'm not moving around. :) Nice staff 24 hours at the desk.

The hotel is in the middle of the city. So if you are looking for somewhere quiet and peaceful maybe not the best option. However, if you are looking somewhere convenient place to look around the city, its a great fit. Its a walkable distance the train station, many cool restaurants around. The hotel is clean and modern furniture equipped.

Staff are friendly, room is clean. However, every SINGLE light is on a motion sensor timer that requires you to move close to the front door of the room every 15-20 minutes. So I couldn’t even relax and read in the evening because of this terrible feature. I’m all for power saving. This is ridiculous when you can’t turn them back on from the main area of the room.
