Small but clean and well prepared room. The kitchenette meant we didn’t have to eat out every night. Great value and even right on a main bus route from/to Waterloo. Would definitely stay here again.

Very good stay overall. We booked three rooms as this was the closest place to Millwall Football Ground while we were working there.

The neighbourhood is a bit lively, but the hotel itself was excellent. The rooms were large, extremely clean (some of the cleanest I’ve stayed in), warm, and very comfortable. Each room had a handy kitchenette area with a microwave and sink, plus comfy beds and a wall-mounted TV.

Check-in was smooth and the staff were very helpful. There are 24-hour shops right next door, which is great for essentials. Not loads immediately nearby, but you can walk to the tube station where there are restaurants and other options.

For the price, we were very impressed and would happily stay again

I stayed at London Stay Apartments for a week , I enjoyed my stay the room was very nice with nice comfortable bed , kitchen , I would recommend this place and bus stop right out the door and Surrey Quay station and Mall are a 10 minute walk , the staff are very helpful and nice

Where do I start. The surrounding area is very poor and probably not the safest neighbourhood. There was no one in reception. My window room was changed to the basement! The room was dirty e.g., a bed throw had previous food stains on it. No mobile reception. Basic corner shops - no restaurants or cafes etc. Due to the quality of the room, I decided not to stay the final night and, at my own cost, returned home. During the day, I received an incorrect receipt saying that a payment had been made, although this was prepaid. I spent about an hour of work time trying to sort it out. A really bad experience that, if I had but used Expedia before, would have been my last.

Lovely room, with everything you need.
Nasty stains noticed on stair carpet. One was a large bleach stain and the other looked as if someone had vomited.
Otherwise would return. Staff friendly, handy location and rooms clean and good size.

Had a terrible nights sleep with people shouting in the corridor between 12-2am. Tried to text the owner as was concerned but no reply. Won’t be staying again unfortunately. It’s a shame as the room was nice... haven’t had a reply still to date to apologise from them. Poor overall. As a professional female, I would not recommend this property on that basis.

Didn’t even stay one night. There is no AC in the rooms. During other seasons this might have been okay, but it was too hot in the room. Had to immediately leave and find another hotel. Also the neighborhood seems a little sketchy.

Great value for money.
Local shops approx 10metre away which is great as you have your own kitchen, cooker, microwave etc with utensils, pans.
Theres also a kebab place next to the shop too!

Room was very clean and the bed was very comfy. Smaller than a double but still big enough for me and the mrs.

Only downside, we was on the top floor where there was no lift and shower took a while to warm but apart from that great accomdation.
Area was ok, but as we are not from london we didnt feel truly safe and didnt venture out at night, in the daytime it was like being back at home.
Would stay again and recommend.

Room was ok given the location and price. Superficially it looked nice not on closer inspection- stains down front of kitchen cabinets and table, bathroom flooded and sealant dirty/ missing/ sockets need replacing and sealing in properly - the usual signs of a room that’s been made over but not really fixed. Mattress needs replacement.
So it’s ok and it worked and it was pretty cheap but I wouldn’t go back

Short weekend break, nice neat room, only drawback was the stairs, I was on the 2nd floor and there was no lift. The shower is a bit tight and the water appliances work opposite to their colour scheme. The bed is very comfy and the rooms heating wirks well.

Room itself was ok, nice hot shower. Good size room. No shower gel.
One bed was comfortable and absolutely fine, the other was terrible! Squeaky, rocked from side to side every time you moved. I was afraid it was going to collapse it was so rickety. The mattress was completely worn out with hard springs poking through. I got no sleep and kept disturbing my friend with the squeaking. I informed the receptionist on check out. They assured me it would be reported to manager.

It was great the girl who doubles uo as the receptionist and general mansger was an absolute sweetheart very freindly bery helpfull and very descreet the room sas ridiculously luxurious fir the pruce and location with marble like floors and a 48 inch flat screen snart TV and electricly operated windowss it was amazing in my opinion.

Clean, noisy, no parking.

No-one on reception when I got there and the first number did not answer. The young man on the second call was helpful, then you are on your own to find your room. Room was clean but noisy. There is a pedestrian crossing outside which beeps when used, and the street lights shine in all night. I stay because I can walk to my destination in about 15 minutes. There is no parking. If I could find an alternative, I would.

The room was fine, nicely decorated and clean if a little tired looking. The bathroom was very small, although the shower itself was large and plenty of hot water. The rooms are not well insulated so noisy in the evenings. Staff were helpful. There is no parking and it's not a particularly nice area.

From the looks of the building we were expecting a small apartment with three beds and a large window. When we got there at 3.00 pm the room wasn't ready, we had to wait 20 minutes whilst they cleaned it (I wish that I could clean a room in 20 minutes) not a good start! We were taken to the small ex shop next door, not to the building on the photographs. No complimentary toiletries, just complimentary ear plugs which did not bode well!! The room was small with a small shower/bathroom, wardrobe, table and 2 chairs 2 beds and a fridge. This was supposed to be an apartment. No one showed us the shared kitchen if there was one.
The floor was wooden and we could hear every step from upstairs, thankfully we could not hear much traffic as we were behind what seemed to be a laundry shielding us from the busy road. The beds were comfortable but the bathroom needed a deep clean. The walls were as thin as tissue paper. We had to switch the fridge off at night because it was too noisy. We saw very little of the staff, only one was helpful, the others were surly. On leaving they did not like me asking for an immediate refund of the £50 deposit that we had to give, they said that it would be done later that day by card but I insisted and got an instant card refund.
All in all a poor choice of accommodation The location was very good, close to Canada Water tube, Greenland Quay for the Clipper and Surrey Quays for the tube.

Well located and nicely appointed apartments

Good location, very accessible to bus routes and train stations. The apartment was clean and of a good size although not overly large, but certainly enough space for 2 people.
It appeared to have been very recently refurbished with a well-equipped kitchen and an extremely comfortable bed. Ear plugs were provided due to being positioned on the corner of a busy road; I thought this was a really thoughtful and useful extra to help you sleep.
The only things that let it down was the very changeable water temperature and water pressure in the shower. If this can be sorted out then these apartments would be top notch.
There is a convenience store across the road so you can pick up anything you need to make yourself a proper meal. I paid for a secure parking space (parking is not available here) but the staff informed me that there was some free parking spaces nearby.
I would stay again, the price was very good value for money, the reception staff polite, friendly and obliging and the apartment was clean, comfortable and private.

LOCATION: Handy for trains and buses all within walking distance
PROPERTY: On arrival issues with swipe card entry and was never resolved our stay was 5 nights. Room was comfortable however noticed “ear plugs” on the pillows and we found out these needed to be used during sleep as VERY noisy at times.

Much cheaper than most other options

I only stayed one night and it was perfectly adequate: Clean, comfortable, well equipped. My room must have been the smallest, so it didn't have kitchenette nor microwave (as advertised) but the fridge and fan (during a very hot evening) were much appreciated. Staff were welcoming. Next time I will ask for a top floor room as the person above me must have been doing some kind of routine across the floor and didn't go to bed until 01.00. Some people are very inconsiderate.

Check in was fine, probably best part of the one night stay. Walked round the corner of the building to a door, when opened into a rather smelly staircase. Aroma was not pleasant however when in the room it was fine. NO SMELL, just in stairwell.
TV is on wall at an angle impossible to watch from the bed. Plastic chairs as alternative to sitting or lying on bed to watch tv.
Midnight, banging on another room door by a guest. Then yelling for his friend to wake up. Bad night sleep was had by myself and I am sure others who were staying on that floor.
The room looks clean but on closer inspection are not. Window blind not working and broken which i pointed out to reception.
Area is also not the finest example of a London suburb. Nothing to do, had to get a bus just to find a suitable place to eat. Will not stay again, if you have a choice do not make my mistake and choose this place.

Great place to stay for the price! Clean and everything was updated. The bed was extremely comfortable! The walls/windows do not keep sound out at all and being right next to a bus stop, you hear them all night :( Other than that everything was great! I would definitely stay here again... just maybe with some ear plugs next time :)

your budget will thank you

I needed very affordable accommodations with an easy public transit option to the O2 arena area as a single female traveler and this was it. If you too have stayed in other budget hotels in London or Paris, this is not the same. No one wants to feel like they need to take a shower because they took a shower...fresh linens, well lit, personal shower and toilet, mini fridge, and hot water kettle. Good basics. Plus, it was larger than other single budget rooms I've stayed in. If you're there to sleep and get on with your business for a few days than this should work for you. If you want to sleep in all day, or party in your room- you will likely need another space as you can hear other guests. If you're tired after a long day and jet lag, not really an issue.

This is not really an apartment ...really just a room with kettle and fridge ...only mugs and glasses .no plates or bowls or knives and forks . Room was a double but given to us as a triple ...singe bed pushed in.
For 3 people and no zircon it was uncomfortable to sleep and was woken at 2am in morning by fire alarm going off as someone \"smoking\" in the building

This apartment was great. It's a little bit outside of central London but it has great transport links and was very easy to find. There's a 24 hour convenience store just a few steps away and there's great, cheap restaurants along the same street. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone looking for a cheap and clean accommodation in London.

generally I'd recommend the hotel however the whole experience was ruines by the fact that my confirmation , sent through my g mail calender , sent me a 2 hour walk north of the actual hotel destination.
As my wife had booked it and I do not know london, I had to follow the sent instructions on the contact.

The room was good and had everything you could need but there was a lot of noise from the traffic which isn't good if you're a light sleeper. Only stayed one night as I was going to the O2 so didn't see local area. Quite handy for the tube.

Our room located on the second floor of the building did not resemble the pictures on the site. We arrived early and asked to leave our bags at the desk until we were able to check in. There was no type of baggage storage nor were we given a ticket to retrieve our bags later. They just sat in a corner in the main lobby. I don't believe this is standard practice at any hotel. When we returned to check in, I am not even sure that the lady at the front desk remembered us coming by earlier and did not ask for any type of identification when we retrieved our bags.

When we entered the part of the building where the rooms were, the floor at the entrance and the carpeting up the stairs were filth - not a great first impression. There was also a strange odor. We then had issues with our key. I realized that it was very easy to lock yourself out of your room if you jiggled the handle after you close the door - the way you would to check if it is locked, fortunately my friend was inside to let me in.

We expected a twin room and were given what appeared to be a double room with a twin bed crammed in. The bathroom is also incredibly small. The room was old and outdated. The pillow was small and flat and my sheets were stained. One bed was pushed dangerously close to the heater which had a sign saying do not block. The room was very dusty. The heater stopped working one night - had to call for help twice. Hotel is not as close to public transport as indicated, especially with luggage.

The apartments are nice and clean although the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbours. The apartment itself was a bit cold and small; knees were hitting the toilet door and the shower door was a squeeze to get thru but both were manageable.

I messed up, the appartment was further away than what I thought to our destination but I was pleasantly surprised by the room! The stairwell needs some TLC but the room was clean. It was very noisy as we were right on the main road and inconsiderate people were slamming doors all night but thats not the staffs fault

Nice hotel near sweet park

The hotel was a great experience. It lies near a large park (Southwark Park) which has a nice pond with ducks and birds, makes for a pleasant walk. The nearest tube station is Canada Water, which is a 5-10 minute walk away through the park.

Room was clean, but was missing a iron for clothes (clothes would often get wrinkly from being in the luggage).

Not in a nice part of town. No amenities. No restaurants. No gym. Convenience stores and the worst sort of fast food. Rooms are nice. If you have transportation and plan to cook in, the hotel is acceptable. Tourist that plan to be away all day will also be satisfied. Staff has decidedly unfriendly.

Owner was rude and non apologetic

Hotel did not have a member on site after hours. My family and I were locked out of our apartment because the magnetic keys could not open the door. We tried multiple times and failed. When I finally for a hold of calling the manager/owner of the hotel, he was rude and unfriendly. I felt like I was inconveniencing him for calling him so late. He did not once apologize and made it seem like my fault for the keys not working. Obviously he did not care about our experience. When I checked out the next morning, I explained my experience and the lady that was checking us out was trying to tell me that the keys did work and basically accusing me of lying. I felt awful. At least she apologized. I asked for compensation for my experience and she called the owner and he basically said it was only '5 minutes and resolved'. It is not about the time but the experience I felt. Besides that, this place is not up to cleanliness standards. I found hair and stains all over the sheets. They said no noise between certain hours but there was no noise control during those times so it was hard to sleep because people kept banging the door knobs. Also, as I was checking out, another guest was complaining for being charged miscellaneous fees as well. Obviously this is not the experience you want in London.

Modern, comfortable, bargain

Single room had double bed everything was new and worked well. Convenient for Surrey Quays station, excellent value for London at £ 48!

Great bed but bath very small

Not as close to London as I thought. 20 minutes by bus then walk 10 minutes more.
