There were works happening which led to there not being water at the hotel between 9 and 5. I was only told after I had completed check-in and gone back to reception to ask. I had to contact Expedia to get a refund, but I could not get the first night refunded or compensated, so I spent the night in the room they had booked for me-- 337 which is just by the lift. Every time the lift went up or down I heard it, throughout the night.

We had booked double bed but we got 2 bed combined together but unfortunately it was not properly combined so that bed is moving and making gap between. There is no toilet soap or shower gel or anything . No kettle , water , or those tea making stuffs which are provided by reputed hotels. The area is away from transport so its difficult to reach a place nearby to get bus or train. Property is net and clean but other things make it bad.

Room is typical for Paris being on the small side. Not the nicest part of town - run down neighborhood. Never felt unsafe and did sleep well. Nice they have a water filtration station in lobby where you can get cold clean water. Parkade beehind hôtel a bit expensive but had lot’s of room.

Great people. Tiny rooms. Air conditioners don't work well. I think the filters need to be replaced. Low price, a bit off the beaten path. If you \"need\" a place, you can certainly do worse. The people are the saving grace. Wonderful, helpful, friendly employees.

This hotel is a little outside Central Paris, but access to the Metro is a 10 minute walk through a rather nice park (although finding the right exit from the park can be taxing).

Staff were efficient and friendly, and rooms exactly as you would expect in an Ibis.

It was excellent value for money - and the evening meal was the best value we've had for some while.

The original booking was before covid19. We were unable to get a refund but got a coupon instead. And now we decided to use the coupon after 3 yrs.

I booked 4 family rooms (few months before) since its a group of 4 families. I called hotels.com customer service since I have a complicated situation with one of the rooms. I was referred to call directly the hotel.

I called the number of the hotel and talked to a representative named Rudolf. It was the worst customer service ever. I was trying to explain to him the situation of one of the rooms: Before covid, this room is for 2 adults and 1 child (3yrs old) but after covid, it became 2 adults, 1 child (6yrs) and a baby (1yr). I was asking him if it was okay since the room was for only 3 persons and as far as the baby is sleeping in the adults bed, the baby is free to stay. I told him that I also talked to hotels.com and he answered, \"Are they the one making your rooms?\" I was shocked. I still try to talk nicely to him but he was just rude all the way. And then in the end he said that he is not working in the hotel itself but in booking services. He is not even the person I need to talk to. So he referred me to talk to the hotel itself. So I talked to the hotel and problem solved.

During our stay: the rooms are small, its so warm even if there is an AC (I also talked to the reception about this), cleaning personnel are very rude and mad when you try to ask them about something. Lastly, towels are dirty and always missing.

The next day I checked in, I cane back to my room after 4pm and I saw that the housekeeping only made bed but didn’t change towels. I called reception and I was told that I had to go pick up towels from the reception. So I went downstairs and asked for towels. A front desk person was giving me only one bath towel when there should be more for hand towel too so I asked for 2 towels and he just gave another one with no words and didn’t even respond when I thanked him. First of all i shouldn’t have gone downstairs go get new towels since it was supposed to be changed by housekeeping and I didn’t like the attitude of the front desk staff. The location is really bad also. It’s in front of cemetery and way too far from a station. It seems dangerous to go out to a store nearby at night but their vending machine at the hotel was out of water too. I also got bed bug bites 2 nights in a row.

I definitely would stay at this hotel again (but would make sure I to eat before as there is no place to buy food near by).

Room I was in had bed bugs and all the did was move me to the room across from me. They didn’t comp my room for the night, offer me maybe free breakfast or dinner. Feel like the way they handled this situation was like if i was over reacting. Will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Very nice and convenient hotel

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel this year. I really like it because the rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom is nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I will certainly stay here again.

There's not much in the neighborhood, but if you walk about 10-15 min you can reach the metro or the tramway and within a few stops are lots of areas with restaurants and shops.

The rooms are amazly dated, The lobby has been recently updated but the rooms are very very old fasioned. The service is out and out RUBBISH. the breakfast is poor it says its open until 10am but unless you get down for breakfast before 8 you have zero chance of choise.

This Ibis Hotel is clean, friendly and has a helpful staff at the front desk and the restaurant as well.
However the neighborhood is definitely a bit tattered, and does not feel very safe. I walked to the bus in the morning, but took Uber back later in the day for safety.
AC didn't work, and still didn't after I let them know and they \"fixed\" it. I tend to be chillier than most, and I was suffocating in the mornings. The room was like a sauna. Their \"15 minute\" policy should have been applied (if an issue isn't resolved in 15 minutes, you stay as their guest)
The Ibis shower certainly needs improvement. It's not only small, but half of it is unusable, and the design doesn't include a door - it's very difficult to not have water flow out onto the floor. I adjusted the shower head higher and made the stream flow straight down, and that helped. There should be a barrier of some kind, on the raised section to make water flow back into the tray, or make the tray bigger - and put a door on…
The shower water is nice and hot, and is hot immediately. The water pressure is only ok, but the removable shower head makes rinsing my hair out easier, with the low h2o pressure.
The free toiletries they mention are a bottle of all-in-one shampoo/body wash hanging from a hook in the bathroom, that was almost empty. I used it to wash my hands as there is no hand soap. I have my own toiletries so it was a big deal for me. For others, it might be.

Was cheap and clean. Bit far from major tourist attractions but cost of transport is the same as if you stayed right near tourist areas because you will use the metro at some point. Reception was not friendly or helpful but I expected that. They only provide liquid soap in a big bottle which is better for the environment. You will probably have a view of the cemetery.

We stayed at this hotel fri-sun for a long weekend in Paris.
Positives-modern hotel, friendly staff, clean, cheap, great breakfast (€8.50 for all you can eat continental - great to set you up for the day)
Negatives-rooms are quite small but fine none the less, it's quite far out - out of the Paris ring road therefore slightly more expensive metro fares etc. Gentilly itself isn't up to much.
Overall a great hotel! Would definitely recommend as a cheap place to stay if you're only planning to be in there from 12am-10am like we were.

Nice hotel, if you're on a budget

I stayed at this hotel for two nights, booked a double but got a twin room, when I mentioned this to the staff, I was told they were fully booked but I was moved to a double the following morning. Very pleasant staff, easily located by the RER and good value for money.

The staff are very friendly and very helpful; The room is very clean; Surrounding neighbourhood is OK, very close to city university. We enjoyed our stay there. But the hotel location is a little bit awkward: The closest metro station is Gentily, which is in zone 2, but if we walk 10 mins more to the city university station, it's zone 1, then the ticket prices is 50% cheaper nearly.

Disgusting and out-of-the-way

The room was filthy and nerve-wracking to even be in. The location is terrible and too far away from everything for it to be a relevant place to stay. Much further from the metro than suggested by the hotel's advertisement. Do not stay here. The walls were all water stained and cracked and the carpets were so stained you couldn't tell what the original colour was. I had reserved two nights but checked out after the first one. The surrounding neighbourhood is also uninviting and scary.

Friendly, welcoming ,very 'French' feel to the hotel, fantastic location in the heart of the pavement cafe area.About five minute walk from the River Seine and about 10 minutes walk from Notre Dame. On arrival we were offered option of shuttle bus for our return journey to airport, which was very welcome and saved worry re getting right train etc.(Was extremely punctual and efficient shuttle too) Lovely breakfast. However no dinner available in the hotel - not really a problem as there are endless restaurants just outside the door. Most enjoyable

You know what you're getting with an Ibis, the room was very clean although a little on the cosy side... But then if you're going to see the sights in Paris and get out and about, then that that's no big deal. The nearest Metro is 7-8 minutes walk from the hotel (Gentilly) and then approx a 10 minute journey to The Tour and same to Notre Dame & Louvre. We thought the hotel was great value for money and it suited us perfectly. For young couples/friends etc on a first trip to Paris this is perfect. If you don't fancy walking to the underground then this isn't the hotel for you.

The hotel was everything I expected in an Ibis - clean, basic, small, etc. The only negative is it's location. It's closest subway station is almost 10 minutes away (with several twists and turns along the way) and it's the first station outside the city proper so it costs about double to use that station. We chose to walk a bit farther and use the next station to save some money. It adds up quickly with multiple people and you can buy the 10 ride tickets even cheaper for the next station.

If you don't mind the walk and the extra train cost, then I'd recommend this hotel. Otherwise pick something in the city.

Clean place to crash for a night

The hotel room was clean and acceptable. It was located on a freeway which we actually liked since the white noise of the open window was preferable to the often noisy people in the rooms above and beside.

There is a grocery store, cafe and bakery within a few blocks but the neighborhood is nowhere you'd want to hang out and it was a 15 minute walk to get to the metro or RER.

The front desk staff were pleasant and polite but the cleaning staff insisted on coming into our room even when we had the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. They would not take no for an answer and although the front desk tried to help by specifying that we did not wish our room to be cleaned for the rest of the trip, they still knocked and came in.

All in all an okay place to stay for a little while or if on business but not great if you wish any privacy or are really sensitive to noise.

I used this hotel for a business trip and due to its proximity to my client I'm going to be using it again. As all Ibis hotels I've stayed in, it's a bit soul-less, but perfectly adequate for my purposes. Wake up in the morning rested, quite location and quiet rooms (no highway noise or anything, especially at the back of the hotel that's away from the Peripherique), get a hearty breakfast (costs extra but well worth it - buffet with plenty of selection), and then head out. Return in early evening, optionally have dinner in hotel restaurant (not a lot of choice but acceptable quality for the food and levels of service - prices follow Parisian standards), and then head to room. I found the beds comfortable but not too big - anyone really tall will have issues fitting.

WiFi connection is usually very good, 200MB daily limit, included with room rate. Hotel also supplies a PC terminal close to reception if you haven't got your own laptop etc.

Most staff can communicate just fine in English. All major credit cards accepted. Quick checkin/checkout procedures with no major hassle.

I didn't explore the food options around the hotel, but you're close to Gentilly (some Italian & French cuisine), Port d'Italie (plenty of Italian, French, Japanese etc) to the north and Port d'Orleans (20' walk to the west) where there's also Polish, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French places etc, but a bit more grummy than other areas.

La chambre est petite. Il n'y a pas de plateau dans la chambre (bouilloire, bouteille d'eau, café, thé). L'insonorisation est mauvaise. Ma chambre était proche de la cage d'ascenseur et le mécanisme des portes m'a empêché de dormir. Et le tintement du bouton d'appel. Les doubles fenêtres atténuent le bruit du périphérique.
Le hall d'accueil est en meilleur état que les chambres.

Nous n’avons pas du tout aimé la chambre pour 3 qui n était pas faite. Nous avons du faire venir la réception qui nous est revenu avec une couette à la main et nous a montré au dessus d un placard un sac devant contenir des coussins. Les lits étaient médiocre, le seul avantage étant la proximité à la gare de Lyon en taxi.
