Hotel is in the suburb of Paris with the closest metro station 15 minutes away by foot. Rooms are old. Two elevators are very small. One was not working when we arrived and the other one also broke down the day before we checked out. So guests had to use the stairs and the staff elevator to move their luggages. Breakfast was average with limited choices and variety. Hotel needs improvement in product and service.

The location is really good but the hotel needs improvements, smells like sewer, the room doesn’t have safe, the decoration in our room was “sinister” and the staffs was uncooperative and even rude, don’t offer any amenities in the front desk and the price for a coffee is ridiculous, I used this hotel many years ago but I think that I don’t return.

Although the room was quiet, the carpet had not been cleaned. The bedsheets were not changed regularly. When I asked, nothing was done until I filed a formal complaint. In addition, 3 breakfasts were added to my bill by mistake; I never even approached the restaurant door. All of this was disappointing.

One of the worst hotels i have stayed in

I think one of the worst hotels i have ever stayed in. My expectation was that this would be to an a acceptable standard as it was a Mercure but it has put me off ever staying in one again. Completely run down and the carpets were disgusting - full of stains and generally filthy. Poor service - would not recommend

It was a great hotel, free good breakfast. And the cleaning staff would truly clean while gone during the day. The room was nice for how reasonably priced it is, very comfy bed, early check in times. My only dislike was how it was kind of far from the heart of Paris. Like a 30/40 metro ride and a 10/15 minute walk to the metro. Otherwise, it was great, I’d stay here again.

Breakfast was poor. We have asked can they top up croissants and the reply was that it finished. Natural orange juice was out of oranges and no one bothered to top up with oranges. Same as the rest of the food and drinks. That hotel is more 2,5-3 star that 4 very disappointed.

Location is terrible far from everything €15 taxi to get to Centet and €15 taxi back. Please avoid this place if you can. We wanted To chance but was not allowed. Room was nice but had a smell of poop from the toilet :(
Breakfast not included €19 per person and day extra :(
When I checked out I was presented with full price for the hotel room. I told them it was already prepaid online and money was drawn from me by Orbit and I refused to pay twice and I had to secure and bring in upper management and all of them spoke poor English and we was all frustrated with each other. Overall a terrible experience

Spacious Rooms for a French hotel, perfect location as I was working in this area of the city - Excellent breakfast. The decor in the rooms is basic, but the room size compensates for this. There was a slightly unpleasant odor when entering the room (from toilet waste I think) but it was not bad enough to request a room change. A pleasant stay all in all.

Vacation stay away from tourist

Stayed here because it was near Cite University. Quarter to half mile walk to Metro line 1 or RER B ( From airport) so easy access to the tourist areas. The area is very buisness oriented and the hotel seemed more for businessmen than tourist. Nice decor, room was very clean and comfortable. Room was cleaned daily. I would feel good about recommending them to a friend as long as they were willing to hike a ways to metro. Neighborhood seemed very safe.

Clean, recently refurbished hotel with quick access to the Peripherique. Stay here for 3 nights, friendly staff, great breakfast and on-site secure parking. About a mile walk to Metro if you want to get around the city.

Unfortunately not a great experience

The room itself was very nice, but the added services available are extremely poor, I arrived at the hotel at 8.30pm, having checked in from a long trip I was hoping to get some food and was told the restaurant was closed and I would have to go to the neighbouring hotel - IBIS - if i wanted a meal - crazy at 8.30pm. I then went to my room and checked the in room services, I could see room-service was apparantly available all day until 11pm, calling to arrange this I was told the restaurant was closed. Even the bar was closed! I had to get some chocolate and drink from the small food shelf near the reception. I also noticed vegetarian selection was very minimal, in fact nothing. Because the location is quite remote there isn't even anything close by to go. So ended with a starved night. I then asked where I could get hold of an ironing board, I was told I would have to go to the reception and get the iron and BOARD myself and carry back my room because there was no staff available. Breakfast next morning was a little saviour. Overall - room-great, breakfast- good, staff - friendly but added services-extremely poor.

Good breakfast and French food! Safe location though not near the centre of Paris, but it is convenient to travel to main sightsee by metro. The staff seems not very friendly to non- French speakers(we're English speakers). One day we came back and the hotel main door is closed. A guy told us to keep pressing the door bell, one lady came out the office and was very unhappy to us.

Great hotel but Bad location

The room is exactly what you might expect from a 4-star hotel. Friendly English-speaking staff. Decent hotel restaurant and bar. It's a quiet neighbourhood. Not many shops or restaurants but there are tons of them near the Porte d'Orleans metro station. The walk to the station takes 10 minutes and can be intimidating at night. The area really is at the edge of the city of Paris. Can take up to half an hour on metro to reach tourist hotspots.

Cheap, big rooms, comfortable bed, lovely building

I highly recommend this hotel. I've stayed in at least 10 Parisian hotels and this makes the top 3. There is no outside noise, at the rear of the hotel anyway, although you can hear your neighbour on the same floor, which is actually an improvement for Paris in which it is normal to here below and above neighbours. The room is big, with enough space to exercise and the furniture is top quality. In fact the hotel building from 1911 is top quality and the reception is indicative of the quality of the furniture in the rooms. The beds are foam and very supportive. The area directly in front of the hotel is busy and a Metro 4 station is directly opposite so it is easy to get to about Paris. I would happily stay again.

Last stop on our honeymoon

This was about 30 minutes on the train from the center of Paris. Train station is very close, about 5-10 minute walk. We only stayed a weekend which was enough time for us to explore the downtown area and have some good meals. The hotel had a buffet breakfast which was pretty tasty. Overall, the hotel was very lonely during the time that we visited (early Sep) as was the area surrounding the hotel. The neighborhood was safe just quiet and lots of business spaces. Random note, if you are going to be ordering a cab, do not order it from the hotel. They have their own personal driver that overcharges A LOT. much better to call a cab yourself.

Good Business Hotel near to Montrouge

A standard Mercure hotel. I had a 2x single bed room which, though non-smoking, still smelled of smoke. The plaster was beginning to come off the wall near the bathroom because of damp. The bathroom shower screen didn't stop the floor from flooding. Air conditioning and WiFi worked fine. Breakfast was OK - a big selection of items. If you're looking to stay near Cité internationale universitaire de Paris (and the RER B station) it's surprisingly close (10-15 minutes walk) if you walk along the road parallel the peripherique and cross the footbridge next to the Samsung building or take the road the runs under the peripherique. Next time I visit the University I'll probably stay here again.

Great hotel for the price - A bit of a walk though

Keep in mind it's a 15minute speed walk to the closest metro station (30 stroll) and the hotel is a bit hard to find. You will see the \"Mercure\" light up sign on a building with other hotel signs but the hotel itself is a couple blocks (2-3) left from the sign. Don't bother taking the elevator down (up is okay), you will be retired by the time it comes - Seriously, I waited 15 minutes because the stairs looked like they would trigger the fire alarm. I was wrong, stairs were fine, take the stairs down!

I have traveled a lot. The idea that this hotel is a 4* is ridiculous. First off, 2 adults and 1 child meant that there was a cod bed brought in. And as much as I understand how the European hotels work, it was hot. Even when i opened the windows. The plus is that it is close to the subway and also close to the ERE.

Ohh and the croissants are not bad at all. No minibar, No food service.

Pretty decent hotel that met our expectations

This hotel is not especially close to the centre of paris but this was what we wanted as we took children and didn't want a noisy environment in which to try to get them to sleep. It's located in what appears to be a business district amongst mostly office blocks but there are a few nice small restaurants close by (one pizza place was especially nice). As long as you've got reasonable mobility and can walk 1km or so to the metro stops you won't find the location a problem.

We found the hotel to be quiet and clean and the breakfast (which was included even though our booking said it wouldn't be) was a nice but fairly standard buffet affair - I have no complaints there. The children of course enjoyed the croissants and pastries.

It's closest to the Porte d'orleans metro stop but also pretty close (1km) to the Cite Universitaire RER train stop. We discovered this because the Porte d'orleans section of the metro was closed the weekend we went, but actually this is a better way to get into town because you can use the Metro tickets but the train is quicker and has less stops and is generally less skanky.

This was a very average hotel, perhaps 3 star (max). The rooms were OK, i.e. clean. The location of the hotel is rather far from city center. The metro stop is about 10 min walk. There is a bus that stops infront of the hotel (125), but takes much longer if you wait for the bus to go to the metro station. Would not recommend this hotel, less someone has business in close vacinity to the hotel.

If you just need a good room and good breakfast you can't go wrong here.

Good size room and bathroom. Comfortable bed, no noise and air-con that was quite and effective. Breakfast was very good and fresh (better than some 4 stars) and service quick and polite.
For the money its a no-brainer.

Super hotel but a little off the beaten track

The hotel was smart, clean and staff were very friendly. Rooms were of good standard. We took breakfast on one morning which was very nice but a little expensive even by Parisian standards. The restaurant was not open while we were there for evening meals and the ' 24 hour shop' was a glass cabinet with a couple of sandwiches and a few drinks. The nearest metro station was a 10 minute walk but there are plans to extend the line so this will improve the position of the hotel. The vincinity was pleasant and we felt quite comfortable walking to and from the hotel even in the evening. Not that much to do in the immediate area but all major attractions were just a metro ride away. We were able to leave our bags in a secure room on our last day and collect them again before we left for the airport.
All in all, a very pleasant hotel and would not hesitate to book again.

For anyone visiting a child staying at the Cité Universitaire the hotel is located just a short ten minute walk away along with what seems to be the nearest metro station. Everyone at the hotel was extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Although we did not eat at the hotel restaurant we enjoyed late evenings sitting at the hotel lounge enjoying a glass of wine. There is also a pizza restaurant and grocery store within 100 yards of the hotel.

It is 3* hotel, not 4* as Expedia tells, but in fact most Mercur's are 4* and this one is very close to 4*. Expensive inet, expensive but tasty breakfast, 10 min by foot to Port d'Orleans metro station, rather small room, but very clean. Minibar was locked for some reason )). Nothing special in surrounding areas, but no danger at all. Be prepared to use metro to reach any historic place, it would take 20-30 min to get to downtown. Tried different hotels in Paris, including Kyriad, Holiday Inn and Ibis and this one by far the best in price/quality.

프론트의 직원들이 모두 친절하여 체크인과 체크아웃 후 짐 보관 모두 편리했습니다. 객실 상태도 전체적으로 괜찮았으나 침대에서 쉰내가 많이 나서 향수나 탈취제 없이는 취침이 불가능할 정도였습니다. 화장실도 씻기 아주 편한 건 아니었지만 그럭저럭 쓸만했습니다. 하루이틀 업무차 단기 숙박하는 분들에게 추천합니다.

Die Lage ist optimal um mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln nach Paris rein zu kommen. Ruhige Lage, man muss sich Abends keine Sorgen machen beim Spazierengehen. Zimmer sind klein. Hotel wirk schmockig. Es hatte den Anschein eines Wasserschadens. 4 Etage. Sehr gute Parkgarage, sehr neu, breite Parkbuchten, günstig. Das Parkhaus haben wir nicht über da Hotel gebucht sondern vorab. Findet man leicht auf Google Maps.

Très mauvais séjour dans ce mercure. Pas digne du nom. Literie déplorable (qualité « clik Clark étudiants » et encore …. Salle de bain très vétuste. Propreté médiocre. Demander une douche en réservation et une baignoire au finale…
Bref très déçu de ce séjour. Je ne recommande pas du tout cet établissement.

Nous avions réservé et réglé, un mois à l'avance, 2 chambres pour la nuit du 31 décembre au mercure. Nous avions prévu d'arriver après les festivités du nouvel an (accueil 24/24). Nous avons été informé vers 23h30, que suite à un incident technique, l'une des deux chambres n'était plus disponible sur le mercure mais à l'ibis style situé à 400m. Il était impensable que nos enfants dorment seuls dans un hôtel différent.
Ça n'est qu'après avoir insisté que finalement la seconde chambre nous a été proposée à l'ibis attenant. Malgré ce préjudice, seul le parking nous a été remboursé (19,80 €).
De plus la chambre du mercure était vétuste très très loin des standards d'un 4 étoiles !

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est top. à 500 m de l'arrêt du tram et métro Porte d'Orléans. Le service est impécable à la réception, et le petit déjeuner trés varié (oeufs, crèpes, pancakes, vienoiserie, jus pressés etc.) et c'est trés bon.
nous avons pris une chambre familiale qui était spacieuse et qui nous a suffit (couple avec deux enfants).
