Good for a short stay

This is a good hotel located just outside Paris. It is about a ten minute walk to the metro or RER that bring you right into Paris with easy access to attractions, airports and train stations. It is located next to a mall with a grocery store, and an excellent patisserie. The hotel is clean and the staff are all polite and helpful. It is a good hotel for the price. The only complaints I have is that they only provide bath towels (no hand towels) in the bathroom and only 1 pillow per person on the bed.

I made a last minute reservation when my original reservation a a different hotel was cancelled….and only stayed here out of desperation. Honestly, this hotel is a dump. The staff was nice, but the room was “skeevy”. Brown stained carpet, 70 cm bed and doors and walls that were thin. I felt very unsafe, and quite frankly was scared of what would come out of the brown carpet. I prepaid for two nights but since it was so bad left after one night and found a new place the second night. If cost I’d your driver then have at it…it comfort is your driver this isn’t your place.

TERRIBLE WELCOME AT HOTEL OF HORRORS

Arrived slightly earlier than 1400 hours check in and informed that would cost EUR 30 extra. So we asked to leave luggage at hotel until 1400 hours and informed that it would cost EUR 5. Will never stay at a Camponile hotel again. Not a smile, not a welcome - this company is going out of business since it is not customer powered!

The hallways smelled like poop for some reason. Luckily, the room was OK. Although the bed was very comfortable The decorative layer on the bottom of the bed was ripped and falling apart and while we were there, the ceiling sprung a leak and water started going all over the dining room area.

Hotel was well located for bus and metro into the heart of Paris and also Versaille. Could have done with more help from the hotel on getting into Paris, an idiots map guide would help rather than 'you catch the bus then the metro!'. Once you understand the bus / metro / train ticketing its fine but we could have ended up with a fine for not having the right ticket, still don't understand what we should have got? Paris is expensive but a great city.

This hotel is very convenient if you are travelling by car as it has free parking.
You can take a bus in front of the hotel to go to Porte d'Orleans metro station or enjoy a 2 Km walk (we always walked even at night... it seems to be a safe neighborhood). From Porte d'Orleans you can easily access anywhere in Paris by subway.
Great price compared to the prices in Paris and very clean. Nothing to complain, I would definitely come back.

A hotel that I'll be glad not to return to...

Hotel felt shabby and basic; our one-night stay wasn't cheap either!

In the evening I rang down to Reception for some 'general' advice on getting to The Louvre on the following day, after which 'Mohammed' made a point of not understanding what or where I was talking about until I named in full the 'Musée du Louvre'. It was very clear that he was being unhelpful and arrogant.

During the night I was awoken by loud music and people talking and laughing outside. The 'complimentary' rooftop parking that we found very useful appears to be useful for the local youths (non residents of the hotel) that can also access and congregate there. Several cars were parked next to each other packed full of youths smoking and generally disturbing the peace of the night. The hotel should not allow non-residents to access such space as not only did they disturb my sleep but I was also fearful about the safety of our car!

Perfect place would stay again when in paris.

Excellent price for Paris, there's a bus stop directly outside, which the final stop is next to the metro which takes you to central paris. Perfect. All staff speak English and very friendly. Rooms clean (except the carpet where we first walked in) comfortable bedding and air con, wifi and parking is free.

It was great and handy to have a well equipped kitchen in the room, however was struggling to get connection for wifi. Was charged for parking on arrival but no space when return after a day out, luckily it was refunded. The only downside I found was on the confirmation of booking it stated that check in was 12pm but was told by staff that it was actually 2pm and it's a sub charge of €5 per room which was nothing, but it was the principle when a customer got a printed proof of the check in time at 12pm, should we still be charged for 'early' check in?

Double Charged, Very Dirty Room, Bad Service, Scam

I stayed at hotels across Europe, Asia and America. This hotel was one of the worst experiences I've encountered.

When I arrived at this hotel I was told by the person at the front desk that my Expedia reservation had expired and I needed to pay the walk in rate. The person at the front desk was unfriendly and had a sleazy vibe about him but I was tired, so I just shrugged it off and proceeded as they requested. After going to the room I was shocked how small, dirty and unattractive the room was. It was so bad that my girlfriend was unable to sleep. Early the next morning we left and checked into a different hotel.

This wasn't the end of the problem. The next day I called Expedia to confirm that the reservation had been cancelled and they said no but they would investigate the problem. The hotel told Expedia that I never paid the walk in rate so Expedia told me to contact the hotel directly to figure out the problem. When I called they hotel, I was told that I didn't have an Expedia reservation and that I should contact Expedia. I then called Expedia back and told them my room number I had stayed in. When Expedia followed up with the hotel, the hotel told Expedia that it was impossible because the room number didn't exist! I have a receipt to prove the room number and a bank statement that shows the double charge but this issue is still unresolved. This was an obvious scam. I'm guessing they usually get away with it considering the amount of money is small.

Absolutely the worst

On arrival the A/C did not work, so they gave us another room on a different floor. We stayed for three days, and every day the WiFi would stop working and we had to ask them to reset it, the last day it did not work at all.
only one elevator services the hotel and you can only fit two people with their luggage, good luck if you're trying to use it when others are doing the same. Hotel staff was ok with the exception of what I assume was the manager, she was very rude and condescending.

Romantic getaway for the weekend

We arrived in France for a romantic getaway. I have to compliment the hotel staff. They were all very kind, helpful and courteous. We didn't speak French, only some broken words, and all hotel staff spoke English, also broken, but an understanding was there. They helped us find the bus and metro routes to the major attractions. The hotel room was small, but we didn't came to Paris for staying in the hotel. When we came back from sightseeing, our room was clean and the bed made. I especially liked the good smell they had in the hotel floors. The breakfast was continental and coffee out of a machine, which was fine with us. A bus stop is right in front of the hotel and took us to the metro in a 5 min bus ride. When we ever come back to Paris, we will book this hotel again.

The hotel has exelent first floor Parking which is not obvious but find the pharmacy next to hotel and its there. The hotel were all extremely helpful and spoke reasonable English. The menu was good quality but was limited. I had problems with starting my car the receptionist brought her car over so I could jump start my car whist checking out other guests. I would stay there again

Overall, this hotel was lovely as staff were friendly and the room and lobby area were clean and tidy. The location of the hotel looked a bit run down and it was quite far out of Paris. Although we knew that it was quite a distance from the centre, this may be something that you want to take into account! Facilities in the room were in good condition with all the expected amenities and our only issue was that the room felt a little empty and open, although this was probably just personal preference! The room itself was actually relatively big.

Good hotel for a short stay

I enjoyed my stay here, I went with 4 friends to view the sights of Paris around Christmas time. The location was quite far out but were able to walk to the metro and go from there. There is a supermarket inside a shopping mall close by. I would recommend this to people who are going for 2/3 nights and would like somewhere cheap to stay. The hotel was spotless and there was no problems with anything while we were there.

Hotel staff are unexperienced and cannot speak English. They're friendly but if you cannot communicate with them then the friendly look doesn't make so much sense. My room (519) was extremely noisy because of sort of an engine on the roof. The hair dryer was broken. Dinner was alright and edible. It was probably only restaurant in the vicinity so there was no other choice, otherwise I wouldn't eat there anyways. They close the reception at 23:00 so you cannot take even a tea after this time. And the room price was extremely expensive when compared to quality (£92 excluding breakfast). I won't stay there again.

Had a lovely time there. Bus stops right outside to get you to the Metro, takes about 45 mins to get into Paris. Breakfast was delish. Neighborhood has no cool restaurants or bars, but not unsafe. Room was small, but that didn't matter. Walls were thin (but I didn't care, more of issue with the girlfriend). Staff spoke English well and were very helpful and pleasant. Overall very good experience.

I thought the location was good, on bus line and metro train 15 min walk. The area wasn't the best but I never felt unsafe. I had a nice view of the Eiffel Tower from my room. My room was clean and very comfortable. Europeans need to invest in small refrigerator's in their hotel rooms, its nice to have one.

The breakfast was not worth 9 euros and not all the staff speaks English so you shouldn't advertise that. Regardless it was a nice stay and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Oh the free parking was nice it was one of the selling points I liked since I drove from Germany. I had a great time and was comfortable all 4 days. Thanks

The hotel was pretty basic, but was clean and tidy and staff were helpful. Unfortunately the restaurant seemed to be closed throughout the summer, which left us with very little options to eat locally, but staff were friendly enough to serve us a beer. Didn't explore the area local to the hotel, but there didn't seem to be much around, although there is a tram line right outside the hotel direct into Nancy centre, which took about 15 mins. For a 1 night stay it was perfect, but not much longer than that. All in all, a pretty decent, if basic hotel.

The rooms were very clean but small. I had two single beds which was sufficient for me and my niece for a short stop in Paris.

The location is a bit of a distance to the major sights but still reachable via the train. At night, the area can appear a little unsafe but we did not have any unsavory encounters.

In general I initially thought this hotel would be more like a motel. But, it was more like a very decent one or two star hotel.
To get to this hotel, get down at port d'orleans and take bus 187 or 197 or 297. We tried to walk with luggage as we were misguided. Not a good idea. If you don't have luggage, it is clearly a walkable distance from the metro. It is a decent 15 minute walk.
The room was small, but quite clean. Staff was decent and friendly.
There is a super market just next to the hotel. Get bread or croissant as breakfast here. Next day we took a cab to the train station to get a TGV train.
The area was safe but not necessarily the most appealing from a stand point of views.
My wife complained that the a/c was not effective. I did not notice it as I was too tired.

Linen and general cleanliness were really good. Hotel staff were very friendly. Reception is manned 24 hours and they speak English very well. Hotel has its own parking and it is in front of a bus stop however being outside the metro 1 area might be a hinderance for some visitors. The surrounding area is nothing to write home about but when you are visiting a city for its attractions you won't be staying in the hotel a lot anyways. The neighborhood isn't bad or dangerous. It is quiet and peaceful. The rooms are good for 2 people.

Très bon rapport qualité-prix

Habituée du Campanile Paris-Sud, je trouve le rapport qualité-prix tout à fait satisfaisant. Les chambres sont propres. Le petit déjeuner est copieux. Le parking est très appréciable. La proximité du supermarché Cora, juste en dessous est également pratique. Le personnel est agréable, ce qui ne gâte rien. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Chambre vétuste et défraîchie , moquette tachée, néanmoins propre. Petits déjeuners très corrects. L’hôtel a besoin d’un bon rafraîchissement. On n’a pas envie de rester dans la chambre.

Horriblement cher pour une chambre dont le chauffage ne fonctionne pas en fonction plein hiver
Clim réversible a fond et qui ne soufflait que de l’air froid
Un gros rafraîchissement de l’établissement est nécessaire

Men duger helt klart för att bara sova i en helg.
