Fantastic customer service, good atmosphere

The hotel is nice, breakfast is quite nice and the atmosphere is pleasant. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The room was generally clean; however the shower did not drain properly. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay.

Good enough and good value

Great location, 10 minute walk to the Metro. Air conditioning and blackout curtains very necessary. Good size bathroom, but the bath plug didn't work and was not fixed after we reported it. Breakfast average but the breakfast rom was badly laid out and the buffet srea too small.

We were pleased with the hotel and the staff, it is about 30 minutes from the city centre so conveniently sited. The room was basic but comfortable and clean however my only real complaint is the 2 small hand towels were dirty with dried staining on them. We would use again.

Quiet and safe hotel but the room is missing many things to be suitable for ideal stay. The hotel is far away from Paris City centre, but you can use the metro or uber with an additional charges.
I like the freshly squeezed orange juice and the backed cheese with vegetables cake that are served in the breakfast. The staff are very nice and friendly

Stayed here for 3 nights while looking for accommodation for my daughter to live in Paris. A very pleasant stay. Useful location for accessing Paris city centre and safe for walking around. Plenty do restaurants and shops nearby. Rooms were a good size, comfortable and clean (although carpet/curtains had a few marks). No wardrobe, but open shelving /hanging rail-absolutely fine for a short stay. No noise from any traffic outside. Staff were very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast was a bonus-and was continually topped up with fresh croissants and pastries.

Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was kept very clean. Very nice selection of items on the buffet breakfast, including fresh squeezed orange juice. Immediate surrounding area was only so-so but only a few minutes walk to Porte d'Orleans or Montrouge. A small gym would have been nice for poorer weather days (Paris in the spring was wet and cold this year), but a nice stay overall and very good value for money. Recommended.

A distance from the city-centre but a lovely stay.

The hotel was lovely and we were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who welcomed us to Paris and offered us travel advice about the metro and busses. We were given a very specious room which was immaculately clean and had a large flat screen tv.

There is a very busy motorway type road close to the hotel, but our room was situated at the back of the hotel overlooking a more peaceful garden area so this didn’t affect us. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro stop at Porte D’Orleans which was ok for us but not ideal for those with children etc as there are busy roads in between. We spent most of our time out of the hotel sightseeing so this didn’t affect us, and we felt very comfortable with the metro system which is comparable to the London tube network.

Breakfast provided was lovely, and was a cold buffet style. Expect croissants, toast, fruit and yogurts. Typical for Paris, I think. We enjoyed it and the breakfast area is large and modern.

A vibrant and pleasant hotel...

Our one night stay was short and sweet, welcoming and comfortable. All Staff were pleasant and very helpful at reception, at breakfast and even the room cleaners. Breakfast buffet was freshly prepared, regularly stocked with a range of beverages. I would definitely book this hotel again and recommend it to family and friends.

The hotel was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable and very good amenities. They provided snacks such as apple sauce and yogurt throughout the day as well as tea, coffee, and water. The breakfast was very good with an assortment of options. It is outside of Paris only by about a 3 min walk and it takes 5 mins to get to the metro. The metro is very easy to use even if you don't speak French ;) It does take about 30-40 mins to get to where you want to go regarding touristy sites but overall very very nice stay.

Hoping for a little compassion

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Area was a bit far from all activities that we had planned. The reason for my rating is that after check out my daughter realized that she left her stuffed animal that she has had for more that 8 years in the bed. As soon as we noticed I called the hotel to beg of them to check the room. The front desk worker said it wasn't possible to check until the next day. Long story short, they did not care enough to look for it and it was not found. It was a life lesson for my daughter and it broke my heart that she lost something that was irreplaceable to her. It was definitely my child's fault but I was hoping for a little compassion.

The room itself was nice. I booked a double room and it was just two twin beds pushed together. Apparently this is standard in Europe. The hotel was a 5 minute walk away from the Porte d'Orléans metro stop which was nice. The area that the hotel is in isn't that great (in terms of things to do; it's perfectly safe). The wifi, while not great, was definitely usable. The room was listed as having AC but the thermostat in the room didn't work. However, Paris was fairly cool during the time I was there so it wasn't that bad. The staff were pleasant and courteous.

Accurate listing and great for a city break

Stayed at the ibis whilst spending a long weekend in Paris. The location was perfect for us - c. 10 minutes walk to the metro station which was a quick service into the city centre. Room basic but clean and had everything that was required. Breakfast excellent.

I had a great stay (5 nights) at Ibis Style Porte D'Orleans Hotel in Montrouge. The hotel was well kept, had good breakfast and friendly staff. The only thing that was disappointing was the description of my room said at hotels.com had a sofa and a sofa sleeper. My room did not have this as described. I asked for what was described, but they didn't have availability.

It is about 40 minutes from Paris city centre by Porte D'Orleans Metro stop and hotel is about 7 minutes walking from the Metro. Trams and bus are also accessible near Porte D'Orleans Metro. There is a Carrefour grocery nearby and a bakery about two blocks. Most importantly, hotel is only about 7 miles from Paris Orly airport, not too expensive by taxi or Uber.

My worst hotel stay experience. I was in the hotel for 3 days and the AC did not work. I had to sleep with the outside sliding doors open to allow cool air in. Hotel staff was contacted day one and everyday they bring in a technician who claim to fix it but the problem remained. I only stayed because i didn't just want to start looking for another hotel.

Head to the shopping centre away from the city

Parking outside was difficult on the busy street but once you know how to get into the car park it is all much easier. Staff were very polite and helpful (even the cleaning crew when we had to walk on the floor they were polishing - twice).
Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Clean, tidy hotel with a good breakfast

The hotel is very clean and very neat. All staff were very helpful and spoke good English which was useful (but never expected). Breakfast is a very good buffet with warm pastries, fresh orange juice, loads of fruit, cake and all the continental style cheese and ham you could want! Overall would very much recommend for a pleasurable stay away. Not recommended for business though as no tea/coffee in room and no 'hot' breakfast. Wifi was good and fast too.

I loved the breakfast buffet with the 100% fresh do it yourself orange juice machine. They had chocolate croissants too. The location is also near the new Montrouge #4 station. It may not be on some maps yet. There is a Carrefour market near by too. You also get evian water and candy every morning along with free wifi. It's about 20 mins ride to Cite. Every room is a different color so you may have issues with that. But at night there isn't much to eat but I didn't explore Port de Orleans stop so maybe there are some there.

Staffs are very nice and helpful. Clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast is quite ok with several choices of bread and drinks but only one kind of meat. The things I dislike are the door of the bath, it can be wider so that the water will not spill out and there should have a mat, my child fell over on the bath. Second, I booked a triple room but they gave me a double room because the bill said 2 adults but they didn't mention my child. However, the staff said sorry and gave me two double connected rooms. That was so perfect.

Room should be much cleaner!

The service at reception and breakfast was friendly and helpful, but room cleanliness absolutely NEEDS to be improved. We like a lot the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast (which offers bit limited choices but enough for our 2 days stay). And the room: When we arrived, there was a lot of hair in the bathroom, in the bathtub, on the door, and floor. The worse thing: when we rang up to the reception, they sent the housekeeping supervisor up our room to clean; I showed her the bathroom full of hair and after she cleaned, there was still half the amount of hair left there! Also there was dandruff of previous guest (Eww!) scattering on our single bed (which was converted from a sofa), and the remote control was covered in dust. I also handed the remote control to the housekeeping supervisor and after she \"cleaned\" it, the thing just looked the same. Probably because she could not bother cleaning them with a cleaner cloth on her hand. If I were the manager, I would give her much more discipline. She never smiles, and does not know how to clean. Not sure why she is there? And in a hotel, shouldn't cleanliness be the central of all? One more thing I was not happy about is that the plastic cup they put in our bathroom was broken.I threw it away, and they did not even put new cups in there during the whole 3 days stay. Overall, I would NOT recommend this hotel nor return there if the room cleanliness does not improve!

Great alternative to local 'business' hotels

The Nearby Novotel is always fully booked for business travellers and price has been going up recenty. This is a nice cheaper alternative. A family orientated hotel (I was the only 'suit' at breakfast) but clean friendly colourful and the student/family mix makes for a lively breakfast environment. Great experience here and walking distance to all the major offices locally.

Good location for using the MET

Overall our stay was excellent, the room as basic but very clean. We stayed for 2 weeks and noticed that the cleaning staff only made the bed, they did not change the sheets, they forgot to change the towels in the bathroom on 2 occasions. The breakfast was included in the price and was excellent. The staff were mostly helpful although their english was poor which was a problem as my french is bad. One staff member was particular bad but only seems to work at nights. access to the met trains was a short walk to a station at the end of the line which is great as the train service is crowded ALL the time.
