Charged me twice and refused to refund
I booked a room last minute for a business trip (booking made at 9pm night before). The booking was duplicated in error (I clicked on booking twice as I thought it hadn’t been received) and I was charged twice. I arrived late and there was no one on reception so I explained the error in the morning but the owner refused to refund me for the extra room which he knows I didn’t use. He said that the room could have been sold to someone else even though I booked on the night before! I will not use this hotel again

After reading all the wonderful reviews I was very much looking for my stay. Could of not been more disappointed. As a frequent business traveller I consider this my worst choice. The first night I was eaten by bed bugs leaving me with more then 20 bites. No need to mention a sleepless night.
The next day I was moved to another room which was ok , but the damage was already done so I could not sleep again.
I was excited to try the restaurant as well after the reviews, but had nothing but an average pub food. The Bistro across the road was better by miles.

I was on the popular road trip from Amsterdam to Paris and wanted to get a taste of a real local European neighborhood that was also not out of the way. This place was authentic and gave me the perfect experience I was looking for. And breakfast was delicious!

Nice building, average location. Continental breakfast is included. Breakfast area is nice. Ample parking. Fresh fruit in room. As they were quite busy this time around, I got the only room left, which was a suite. A bit larger than the average with a King size bed and a sofa that has traveled straight from the late 80s/early 90s. Rooms are clean but outdated. I have stayed here quite a few times since 2011. However, the service is just OK. The owner needs to smile a bit more. We all have average days, but it's been this way since my first visit. Not sure it is rudeness, but it may come through as such, even when speaking the same language. However, one of his employees (longer brown hair) is quite nice. Good to have someone like that to level out the playing field. A big downfall of the entire experience: if you are looking for a plug whilst using an adapter, good luck. The only possibility was to use the bathroom plug. Internet has been sketchy as well, sometimes dropping off. Happened a few times since my first visit. Being the only hotel in town bodes well for it. However, two newer places were recommended in a 3-mile radius, so we will see what comes of that. Courtesy is definitely THE differentiator in this industry as it helps level things out. Lack of it here translates into its drawback.

This is the only hotel in Rijmenam, and it makes it convenient to get picked up by a colleague in town. Due to a busy period, I ended up booking the only other room available, which was a suite / king size bed. Compared to the regular room, you get a sofa that seems to have traveled from the late 80s/early 90s. The rooms could undergo a good refurbishment. They look a bit old. With the suite, you also get some additional treats. I realized I had not. So, I inquired about this upon checking out when I remembered. A nice lady checking us out (long brown hair) made this right. However, the owner could use a smile. We all have some off days, but not once in the half dozen times I have been there since 2011 have I seen him smile. Somewhat of a turn off. Otherwise, internet has been spotty. And, if you are looking for more than one plug, good luck. Everything is so tight that if you have an adapter, you will be hard pressed. Breakfast is continental. However, no water. That was a miss. I might be back out of convenience for my colleague. But when you think that for the same price, I could have had a junior suite in the center of Brussels at a Hilton, it becomes a downer, or use one of the newer hotels that opened in the area.

The rooms were a bit outdated but quite large. The staff were very friendly but seemed to take a long time to get anything done. Restaurant was delicious food but a little bit pricey. Overall it was quite nice and was a bit of a homey feeling, not like a normal hotel feeling.

Quiet hotel by pine forests
Stayed at the hotel for three nights. The renowned hotel restaurant was closed for those nights, but there were excellent French and Japanese restaurants nearby. Room and bathroom were clean and well kept: white slippers and white dressing gown were provided. Breakfast on the 2nd and 3rd morning was excellent with fresh fruit, a range of breads, cheeses and meats. I was surprised to be discouraged from taking my half drunk bottle of breakfast water back to the room by reception staff. Cleaning staff were very friendly and maintained the rooms well.

Been there a few times. Nice place to stay, but quite some ways from the city. Not a whole lot to do. Restaurant onsite is good. Rooms are large, but weird to see towels double as carpets. Fresh fruit left by housekeeping us a nice touch. However owner/manager could be a bit more welcoming. That's the only reason why it got three stars. Also asked for room confirmation a few times, and gave up after my third call. Overall, nice place, but every time, there seems to be one more issue to add... However, if you want to keep quiet and just relax in a small and quaint village, this is a good 4****.

Dårlig oplevelse. Hotellet var ok. Morgenmaden var ringe! Der stod morgenmaden var klar kl 08:00, men det stod først klar lidt i 09:00. Området var røv sygt. Vi kunne nærmest ikke få noget mad, da alt var lukket, selv på en fredag og lørdag aften. Vi havde først booket et familieværelse og skrev til dem at vi havde hund med, da der stod det var okay. De skriver så til os at hunden ikke må være på et familieværelse. De kunne ikke give os pengene tilbage… så vi skulle betale mere fordi vi så skulle have 2 værelser i stueetagen, da man godt må have hund der. Dette stod ingen steder. Så vi blev opkrævet for mere. Personalet er ikke smilende eller hjælpsomme. Derudover var det ubemannet mange gange om dagen. Ikke en anbefaling her fra!

Hôtel avec un très bon rapport qualité prix, avec des chambres spacieuses, petit déjeuner parfait,par contre dommage qu’il y avait une porte mitoyenne avec une autre chambre et en plus occupé et mal insonorisé, et aussi je regrette de ne pas pouvoir pu choisir, lors de la réservation entre un lit double ou deux lits séparés

Très bonne chambre, literie confortable, mais lorsqu’on utilise l’eau de la douche, l’odeur y est insupportable (une odeur d’égout, c’était horrible) et le service de réception n’est même plus disponible après 19h30, on a essayé de les joindre jusqu’à 21h30 et ils étaient parti on a du utiliser la baignoire et l’eau bouillante pour essayer de faire chauffer nos plat... ne compter pas trop sur eux après 19h.

Vriendelijke ontvangst en duidelijke uitleg omtrent coronamaatregelen. Ruime en mooie kamer.
Wel gelegen aan zeer drukke baan.
Onze kamer had een probleem met de afvoer van het bad : stank wanneer je water liet lopen. Niet echt aangenaam.
Rumoerige buren en door de dunne verbindingsdeur leek het of ze in onze kamer stonden.
Ontbijt heeft ons ook niet kunnen bekoren. Door corona werd dit in een luik geplaatst dat uitgaf op de kleerkast. Was besteld om 8.30 uur maar om 7 uur al lawaai van het luik. Thermoskan voor thee.. water was om 8.30 uur al koud. Ook qua beleg zeer lastig. Alles zodanig verpakt in plastiek dat je dit maar amper open kreeg aangezien wij geen schaar bijhadden.
Hier kan aan gewerkt worden uiteraard, want deze corona toestanden zijn voor iedereen onbekend gegeven.
Wel gelegen aan zeer drukke baan.
Onze kamer had een probleem met de afvoer van het bad : stank wanneer je water liet lopen. Niet echt aangenaam.
Rumoerige buren en door de dunne verbindingsdeur leek het of ze in onze kamer stonden.
Ontbijt heeft ons ook niet kunnen bekoren. Door corona werd dit in een luik geplaatst dat uitgaf op de kleerkast. Was besteld om 8.30 uur maar om 7 uur al lawaai van het luik. Thermoskan voor thee.. water was om 8.30 uur al koud. Ook qua beleg zeer lastig. Alles zodanig verpakt in plastiek dat je dit maar amper open kreeg aangezien wij geen schaar bijhadden.
Hier kan aan gewerkt worden uiteraard, want deze corona toestanden zijn voor iedereen onbekend gegeven.

Séjour d'une nuit le vendredi soir. L'hôtel était complet et nous avons eu une chambre de niveau supérieur (plus vaste). Le restaurant était fermé le soir. Bien que donnant sur la rue, la chambre était calme (bonne isolation phonique des fenêtres). Chambre vaste, agréable avec un grand lit. Seul petit point négatif, il est difficile de trouver des prise pour brancher ordinateur ou téléphone. Super petit déjeuner le matin avec un très grand choix de produits de qualité (jambon à l'os, salade de fruits frais, fromages, muesli ...). Je recommande.

The mail receptionist may not be the most welcoming, but provided enough service.
The rooms are quiet large and clean, the beds comfy. Bathroom clean with separate toilet. Free WIFI fast. The location is fairly quiet, but still on a main road.
There is a restaurant and terrace, although on the Tuesday of arrival the restaurant opened only in the evening.
Breakfast was fine, but again to me more 3 star (superior).

De accommodatie was prima, maar houdt er rekening mee dat er geen airco op de kamers aanwezig zijn. Nu met de huidige temperaturen was het op 24 juni niet uit te houden op de kamer.

E' soprattutto un ottimo ristorante con camere; la parte cibo giustifica il viaggio con ottima scelta di selvaggina e una buona carta dei vini, meglio quelli che l'acqua a €8 a bottiglia... L'hotel è un Relais di campagna ben tenuto, anche se la camera con quattro letti singoli è un pò strana. Ottima prima colazione, coerente col ristorante e la linea Wi-Fi, parcheggio antistante l'hotel.

Brüssel, Antwerpen, Brügge, Gent und auch die Küste sind vom Hotel aus sehr gut erreichbar. Wir haben sehr schöne Urlaubstag in Belgien verbracht und hatten zum ersten Mal unsere kleine Malteserhündin dabei. Das war im Hotel zunächst ein Problem, da wir sie nicht vorher angemeldet hatten (\"Haustiere willkommen\"). Ein Aufpreis wurde angekündigt, den wir dann im Endeffekt aber nicht bezahlen mussten.
Das Hotel liegt an einer Hauptverkehrsstraße, die auch nachts stark befahren ist.
Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel, ein paar zusätzliche Beleuchtungskörper wären hilfreich gewesen. Die Gardinen waren teilweise heruntergerissen, wir haben sie zum Teil selbst wieder in die Schiene gehängt. Das Mobiliar ist auch schon etwas älter, aber o.k. Das Frühstücksbuffet war enttäuschend, die Auswahl an Käse und Wurst ist nur sehr gering. Wenn man ein Brötchen essen will, muss man früh aufstehen.
