My 19 year old daughter is always picky about where we stay, and from the second we drove up she thought it was cute and safe, and loved everything about it. We unfortunately only stayed one night, but we will be back as we are always visiting Lancaster.

Overall it was great. Check in wasn’t the best because the person at the desk, was very difficult to understand with her accent. She was very nice but couldn’t understand her. I did get a chance to speak to the manager, I think, she was amazing. I unfortunately forgot her name, I know she used to live in Florida. I hope she should be complimented. But like I said overall the sty was great. We left early due to an upcoming blizzard in my area and wanted to get home before that.

The manager made me feel very uncomfortable the way she spoke to me. And breakfast you can't even call what they give breakfast first of all the eggs are made and they pan that was not washed from the previous day cuz you can see it's all crusty underneath the new eggs and there's no juice the sausage is raw and the pancake I mean I'm sorry the waffle mix holder is very dirty

The check in was easy. Ash was very help and informed me that the tv was not working due to some service issues. I like that I was told this up front. The room was clean and big. The beds were comfy. The breakfast was eggs, sausage, bread, coffee, juice, and a waffle. I was surprised by this breakfast options. Parking was no issues. The staff was friendly. I would stay here again.

Bugs crawling on ceiling, arm chair stained, desk chair ripped, water stain ceiling, tin wasn’t cleaned, drain clogged with hair, I had to clean it myself. They claim fill breakfast… seriously, microwave eggs, microwave potaotoes, and what they claim is sausage.

The lady at check in was more than nice. Unfortunately, the hotel room was filthy. The sheets were stained ans had physical dirt on them. We called and she apologized multiple times. She upgraded us to a suite and when we walked into that room the overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke hit you in the face. We decided not to stay, I’m very hopeful for a refund. The lady at the desk said she could not give me a refund that I would have to ask Expedia. Expedia reached out to the hotel and they said there was no one there that could authorize a refund. I’m hoping Expedia will make this right.

I enjoyed my stay at the Clarion. The lady that checked me in was very kind, friendly and informative. The room was clean. The television was a bit hard to turn on at firsr because I had to press the power button a few times. However, I would stay again. It was just what I needed. Thank you!

The room was so dirty the toilet seat actually had big gauges in the seat the carpet was dirty with stains and the lamp shades had stains on them the microwave was smeared with something ? Not sure what it was but it was disgusting. The blinds at the window were broke and gaps with blinds not fitting correctly.
We complained and they show us two other rooms which were just a tiny bit better but had issues as well with carpentry above door frames hanging loose! Bathroom sink was damaged from age. We decided we couldn’t stay there in any of their rooms offered because it was so dirty and unsafe. So we checked out and had to ride around and look for another place to stay at 5pm in the evening. After complaining to Expedia about our experience
They claimed they couldn’t get our money back
They claimed they tried but the manager of Clarion Inn refused. So Expedia emailed me and said basically sorry we tried. I will never ever use Expedia again and never go back to this
Clarion Inn in Strasburg Pa. Very disappointed in Expedia and Clarion Inn. Please don’t go there bottom line it’s dirty and unsafe.

The staff was very nice and kind, but the rooms were terrible. The first room that they gave me had mold in the bathtub. I said I was not comfortable staying in that room. The second room they gave me had mold on the ceiling of the shower really bad black mold and I said I'm not showering in there that is a health hazard. The third room they gave me was pretty OK. There was no mold anywhere but when I woke up in the morning, there was no shampoo and there were bugs in the shower.

staff at check in appeared clueless, but could have just been new employee and learning the computer system? took close to 20 minutes to get checked in. Rooms were below average. not really dirty but with several light bulbs out it seemed a bit dim and dingy. we had two rooms and our main issue was that one of the rooms had bed bugs. of course we didn't know that until the next morning when we woke up with bug bites. Motel manager seemed thoughtful and concerned and assured us a credit for the room. still waiting!

Check in was ok. We had our dog with us so we were in the pet friendly area. Smellwas bad in the hallway and had a stench in the room with stains in the carpet. Needs alot of upkeep and update.
Breakfast was ok. They ran out of sasauge an hour and a half into breafast and was no other meat offered.
Bed and shower seemed clean but if you look past that it mosy likely needs addressed.
Close to sights and sounds, Rutters, puzza place and Beer Mart put probably wouldn't stay again.

The room looked like it needed some TLC. One of the decorative post tops on the bed was missing, the handicapped shower had a tile floor that, when wet, was slippery. There was no texture on the floor and my wife was afraid when using the shower. The light in the shower was out; the hairdryer was dirty. There was no closet, just a coated wire rack to hang clothing on (hangers were not provided). The food in the breakfast area was okay, the eggs were rubbery and so crumbly one day that they were inedible. The paper plates were so thin that you needed two or three to hold the food. Overall, this is not a hotel that I would recommend or stay at again.

Within 1 mile of Sights n Sounds Theater and various shops, restaurants and 2-3 miles from plaza, and Tanger Outlet. The Fireside Grill
was right beside the Hotel so we could walk right over to it. Lots of parking with nice trees for shade in the parking lot. It’s an older hotel but very clean and comfortable. The lobby smells so good and the room was clean and bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would recommend this Hotel if you are going to see plays at the Sights n Sounds theater and want to be close to everything.

The Clarion has new owners, and I believe they’re still working out kinks in their housekeeping processes. It is definitely an older property. For example, the toilet is lower than today’s standard height and the bathroom vanity is lower than today’s standard. We had a pet room, so maybe other rooms are more updated. We appreciate the option to bring our pets.

Had to have them clean the room after checking in
Bathroom floor was filthy and then there was garbage under the dressers.
You should never be forced to have any place re clean a room after check in
Then after checking out they wrongfully accuse you of smoking in the room to rip you off money when you do not smoke indoors.
I would not recommend this location to any traveler. They are Filthy and liars to rip you off money.

We had a hotel booked about an hour North and that hotel was no where near family friendly when we finally arrived there to stop driving for the night at 11:00PM. Clarion Inn was the only location showing availability on the Hotels app for that same night and the next night and also allowed pets so we rolled the dice and drove the extra hour even though we were already exhausted and to our pleasant surprise this place was a God Send! The check in employee was so kind and the room was clean and safe! Even better it was only 2 minutes away from Sight and Sound which was our destination for the weekend anyway so I would give this place 100 stars if I could!

I've stayed here several times. Thus time i was disappointed with the up-keep, overall. The tub had paint chips in it so we did not shower. The toliet psper was sitting on tank. The bar that holds the paper onto the side of wall was missing.

It was a disgrace. We were harassed daily because the key to the room did not work. We were threatened by the boy at the front desk. I spoke to the female manager who assured us this would not happen again, and it did...every day. We had a sink and tub that did not drain, and we were told they could not fix it. We were asked for money from the cleaning couple on the day we were leaving. If I could have slept in my car I would have. We are hoping the PA dept can help us get a refund and the property and Expedia will not. It is sad as we are seniors, and this is how you treat people. Expedia suggest these properties, so they need to be accountable.

The rug was dirty - my white six were black when I took them off. The property needs a complete upgrade. There is peeling paint, loose window putty, old lampshades, door which did not close tight. The beds were too soft and the window blinds didn't function. The electric outlets were too loose so the plugs kept falling out.

Dirty and dated. Location of the property was good and there were clean sheets. Nothing else positive to say. The condition of the room was bad, especially the bathroom. There were holes in the wall from where a towel rack used to be, a gaping hole where a vent fan should’ve been, cracked and discolored drywall above the shower that looked like it could come down any minute, no one has ever bothered to actually scrub the toilet. Not sure they have ever cleaned the carpets either. It smelled like dirty dog. I kept my shoes on. We only stayed two nights, otherwise we would’ve looked for another place. Needless to say, we will not stay again.
