Fabulous hotel - all areas spotless

Great restaurants and bars. Had access to the executive lounge which was lovely for pre dinner drinks - afternoon tea wasn’t much choice but breakfast and evenings was lovely.

Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and on the beach

Boat tour around the marina was amazing

Only thing to point out when booking via Expedia they don’t communicate the age of children to the hotel - so our 16 year old was classed as a child - which as we went half board was funny (not for him) when they brought kids menu out for him 🙄

Staff really friendly and helpful. Hotel and facilities were generally great, plenty of different pools and areas to choose from - particularly liked that some of the smaller/childrens pool were shaded. Family apartment was large and well equipped - only negative was the shower was cold for our stay, we did report to concierge and reception but nothing was done to fix, it was a shame because everything else was great!

Stayed for a week. We had a palm facing apartment which was lovely ! Loved the space and views .
Staff were great and kids loved getting the buggy back to the apt. My son didn’t feel happy at kids club but my daughter wanted to go.
We were on half board. But there’s a lot of high hidden costs - water they will only serve bottled at dinner and it’s extortionate. 2 waters , 1 beer and 1 wine on average cost £50 per meal. You also have to pay to use the spa facilities which is crazy!
Restaurants were ok no stand out. The Indian was actually the worst food I’ve had in Dubai.
Other than that pools were nice and overall it was a nice resort and friendly staff. I loved the apartment and house keeping helped us promptly when my daughter was sick.

Everything was perfect, from check in staff, to restaurant staff, to room servicing staff. The food was excellent, the beach was fantastic, the pools looked very inviting but we didn't use as we prefer the beach. Our room was amazing, it was beautifully decorated for my birthday and I received a happy birthday cake at every restaurant that we dined in. I cannot fault the Sofitel and will definitely be returning. Thank you everyone :)

Fabulous stylish hotel, with great amenities. Several pools family friendly and quiet zones for more peaceful bathing. I particularly liked the constant supply of bottled water in the room.
Great choice of restaurants and the buffet breakfast was a feast, with something for all tastes .

This is the second time at the Sofitel The Palm. The staff are excellent..always smiling and happy to help. They remembered us from our previous visit and are always kind. The restaurants are amazing and half board is recommended as everything is expensive in Dubai. Excellent location too. Thank you everyone at the Sofitel for another wonderful holiday.

Amenities were very good within the resort. Most restaurants are good but we found Maanava great for dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to see the options and variety of cuisines on offer. We stayed in a one bed apartment that was big enough for our family of 4 with 2 kids.
A practical consideration would be to raise the separation between shower area and rest of the bathroom. Everyday a huge amount of water would just come out of shower after each shower. Second consideration should also be to put more towel rails (perhaps heated) in the area so that people could spread their wet towels that can be reused easily.
Kitchen area lacked any cutleries but their were items available for cooking.

On day 3 of our stay there was a terrible smell throughout the bedroom of the apartment which was later pointed by another lady residing in the same wing. We did report this but they just apologised.

Avoid This Hotel – Hygiene, Food Safety & Integrity Completely Failed

I have stayed at many Sofitel properties worldwide, but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had with the brand.

We were checked into a room that was visibly dirty: heavy dust everywhere, broken fixtures, clearly not cleaned before arrival. Photos and videos show the exact condition in which the room was handed over.

On the first night, shortly after arrival, I ordered a Wagyu burger via room service. It was served incorrectly and caused severe gastrointestinal illness (including diarrhea) — an alarming food safety failure for a supposed five-star hotel.

The night manager personally came to the room, visibly distressed, and said verbatim:
“Madam, if I would be in your shoes, I would turn the hotel upside down.”

We were explicitly promised that the meal causing the illness and all food & beverage from the first night would not be charged. At checkout, the hotel still charged us — and management later denied that this promise was ever made, effectively implying we were lying.

This is not a one-off mistake. It is a pattern of:
•poor hygiene,
•unsafe food handling,
•broken promises,
•and zero accountability.

Think twice before booking. There are far better options at this price point.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel, Dubai, The Palm. Great staff, very welcoming and friendly. The restaurants were all great! The breakfast selection is outstanding and so delicious!! We loved the heated pool which was very relaxing. The pool area is beautiful as are the lobby and main areas. We had a suite which we loved! It has a kitchen and washer/dryer, also 2 bathrooms and a beautiful balcony to enjoy a morning coffee. Overall a great and relaxing experience. Thank you!

All the staff was so helpful and made sure that we had easy check-in and.check-out. Vishwanath from the Check-in made sure that we were able to get our room ASAP. Also, two of the conceirge (do not recollect the name) went above and beyond to contact the housekeeping Manager to make sure that our rooms were available at the time of check-in. All our luggage was swiftly moved to the room. They also provided us the tour of the facilitity. During check-out, they were available exactly @ 5:15am in the mornng to check-out our luggage. Very helpful and making sure we were taken care during our stay. Will definitely recommend this hotel and will come back again.

Sofitel The Palm Dubai offers a peaceful, relaxing environment, perfect for a getaway. We were initially assigned a room with a limited view of the palm, but after speaking with Reception, they moved us to one with a much better view, which was greatly appreciated.

The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views, a private beach, and excellent pools. However, the half-board package felt restrictive, as drinks were not included and had to be purchased separately. For a 5-star hotel, complimentary water with meals would be a nice touch.

The hotel has improved greatly since our previous stay back in 2018. The Lounge for guests who stay in Suites has been relocated to the ground floor and has a huge terrace outside with lots of comfortable seating, and inside attentive staff providing excellent food and drink options throughout the day.

The beach was excellent - especially at this time of year where the heat is far more comfortable and the sea temperature was still lovely. We spent most days on the beach as it was so relaxing.

All food options in the hotel were used and we enjoyed taking advantage of the Half Board Dine Around that we booked to try them all - Zoya by Maui, by the beachside serving lovely Indian food was our favourite

The hotel and room was amazing. The housekeeping staff were so lovely and polite. The staff were lovely throughout the hotel. We were very happy with Arshad and Himanshu as they went above and beyond with our toddler and service. We will really miss them. Our only downside to the hotel was during lunch and dinner we would need to pay for drinks. We assumed that as we paid for half board drinks would be included with the meals as part of our package. But drinks and water are an additional charge. We paid £13 for 2 cans of fizz and £9 for a cup of coffee, which is absurd. We paid a lot to stay at this hotel, but theres always more hidden expenses that have to be paid. Other than that issue everything else was great. The variety of swimming pools, kids club, the beach.

This is our third time staying in the resort. The service is the best we recieve anywhere in the world. The hotel is phenominal for couples and families. Very mature understated resort. Tones of pools. Amazing sea. Amazing half board. I would recommend getting a suite to access the lounge. It makes the stay like a all inclusive as you get drinks all day in the lounge

few small complaints
had to pay for water with meals which I have not seen in any other 5* hotels
the mini bar due to the type of room booked, should really have been included in a 5* hotel
found if not ordering extras on the half board option, staff seemed less attentive. Noticed this in the steakhouse as the first visit was for my birthday and we added a number of items and staff were brilliant but on a return visit just ordering normal off the menu, the staff were more interested in other guests

The resort is wonderful, the housekeeping staff is amazing. The lounge staff is fantastic. I loved the pools, the spa and the food. The happy hour is very nice and in general the hotel is really good. My only complain is that I had a suite for 10 nights which was quite expensive, however I couldn’t get complimentary late check out. Besides that, I highly recommend this hotel. Also, beware that the prices for services can be high, so ask before you get a haircut or massage or anything like that.

Had issues with ants in the bed that the hotel sent someone round to sort but following morning they were back, called
Them again they said they will come around again but never did. Ali and Samuel on concierge and front door were fantastic always happy and ready to help anytime, only bad part involves taxis please get a price first as you will get ripped off 100 dirhams to go to Atlantis which is 1/2 mile away, next taxi charges you 12 dirhams! 150’dirhams to airport was bumped up to 350’dirhams and when challenged says its hotel price, really only disappointing about the stay at hotel is the taxis that pick you up from there again just be careful

Staff was first rated always eager to provide top tier services and facilities were great, two things I noticed and I would suggest to change.
1. Main swimming pool should be reserved adults only, there is enough swimming pools suitable for children and non that provide adult only peace and quiet.
2.I understand asking for room number during the meals but asking it for every single thing, daily even lounge on the beach it becomes very annoying.
But overall experience was very good,excellent.
