Very unhelpful staff and reception. Paid for full breakfast but due to fasting only got RATIONED breakfast in room service due to the restaurant being closed for suhoor. Bad service, no follow up from manager. Our flights are cancelled and we are stuck in DXB. According to DXB government who are providing assistance to travelllers with cancelled flights, the stay is meant to be extended if flights are cancelled. There is no help withis from reception. We've stayed in all the Jumeriah Group hotels in DXB over a period of 20+ years, which is the best group in DXB, due to cancelled flights we were recommended here biut are so disappointed.. Comparatively this TAJ brand has subpar service for a 5 star hotel.

Food isn’t good at all. Service is good. However, they don’t have appealing food. Most of menu is same on the days. Tasteless dishes and not representative of Indian foods. I didn’t find butter chicken in the menu in ten days!!!!!!

We had half board purchased and wasn’t a good decision. Had to pay 30 dirhams to add on coke for dinner. I wouldn’t recommend half board.

Plus side is room was clean and large. Customer service was fine though. I’d say that it’s somewhat perfect destination for Indian tourists but not much for others. I wouldn’t stay again there.

I enjoyed the yoga classes and I couldn't go to the sound one but I like the variety of different options, I'll increase the gym facility and adding more sporty activities like red light teraphy and cold plunge since more people is concerned on their well being.

Stay was really good.. Of course it's Taj and we loved it here .. I am giving it 4 star only because of the fact that when I wanted an extension for a day, the charges were exorbitant ($1000 USD+) and I had to go to another hotel which was in the same category (Le Meridien) but was in the range of $380... So that was that.. other than that everything was exceptional.. the private beach is great.. wish they had a marina close by where we could do jet skiing and boating...

I would rate the hotel 4.5 stars, not quite 5 stars. The rooms advertised are Palm Sea View and Sea View, we selected Sea View. There is no sea view, all rooms look onto the Palm. They moved us to another room which overlooked the pool and the palm after we complained. They have fitted some self closers to the interior room doors but they don't quite fit so instead they chose to cut a section of the door out! Breakfast - no pork option but they serve pork in the restaurant at night. Fruit selection was basic. Outdoor dining area - if you like birds (crows, mynah birds, collared doves - we do) then you're Ok, if not sit indoors as the hotel has no effective deterrents for the bird population and some diners were quite annoyed by the pestering. Location - be prepared for a 30 minute drive just to get off the palm, the traffic around Atlantis is very bad - not the fault of the Taj of course but worth noting if you want to travel into town. The staff are excellent, very friendly and accommodating and the pool and grounds are also first class. We had some amazing food in the Indian restaurant.

We had booked an extra night as our flight into Dubai was arriving at 5am and we wanted to be able to check in when we arrived at the hotel. Prior to arrival members of the team had sent me a few messages regarding check in time - at each occasion the info was supplied. The room was perfect and the view spectacular. Staff are very attentive. The room was clean. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the people in the next room when we were in the bathroom. You can also hear people in the hallway. We had a room on the second floor. The on site restaurants are nice with great quality food - but they are also very expensive.

The pool area is big. The grounds are beautiful. The spa was lovely. Villi was an excellent therapist. Spa facilities are good and clean.

We didn’t book our accommodation with breakfast but we did add it on when we checked in. On checkout our bill was incorrect as we were charged an additional day for breakfast - so check your bill. Keep a record of ur mini bar purchases as well. It just makes it easier on check out.

I chose this hotel because of the location on the palm, lovely beach, resort feel and the variety of restaurants and the spa. The Taj brand is synonymous with hospitality and it didn’t disappoint in terms of the staff’s attentiveness. Housekeeping and in room dining was very good.

Indian tradition greetings on Arrival,which none other Hotels offer, rooms 10/10 cleaned twice a day on request. Staff were amazing on all level.
Room service “Milan “ attended both our rooms and made sure ample drinking water and towels.
In the coffee area near the lobby Elaine took care of organising my daughter in law birthday cake.
In the dining Area Breakfast was out of this world ,such a selection for Vegan and Vegetarian.
Mr. Rishab Manger of the Resturant was excellent,looked after us and my family really well.

Room and staff were nice and friendly. At check in they messed up my reservation. When came to find out why my room was not a sea view like I had reserved, they said that the reservation was for a standard room. Even after showing them a print out of the reservation receipt from Expedia, they claimed that is not what Expedia had booked for me. They told me to contact Expedia to get it resolved with them. I had a hard time getting hold of anyone at Expedia, so I took the matter into my own hands. I spoke with a manager at the hotel. I asked him to confirm my reservation number. They had a different number compared to what I had on my reservation record. They finely realized there was a mistake and changed my room. But they did not admit it was their fault and blamed it on us. The following morning I had issues with the breakfast. They said my breakfast was not included and that I would need to pay for it. This happened again the next day too. It was finally resolved but the overall experience from a 5 star hotel to treat their customers this way is not acceptable.

Only feedback was that upon check-in we were not told of the hotel amenities, which we found at the end of our stay. Would have been good to know more about these, give the price paid for the hotel.

The property itself is beautiful. It is presented well and looked after. The room was comfortable and was big enough for the 4 of us to stay in, and the service from most of the staff was amazing. Requests didnt seem like too much to ask for and most staff were happy to oblige with any request given. The pool is only a few feet deep which is perfect for having a relaxing dip without feeling like you have to do too much to stay afloat and the staff around the pool were fantastic, more than happy to setup a pool bed for you and provide you with a mini esky with bottles of water and ice in it.

However, the review takes a turn when it comes to the cost and quality of the food itself. I would suggest not taking the included breakfast option as we often found the buffet was cold (even for hot food) and we are certain my wife ended up with food poisoning from the buffet, ruining 3 days. Also, I am still waiting on a refund for an overcharge on my credit card for the evening buffet.

I would also suggest staying away from the Roaring Rabbit as the quality of food presented doesnt match the price tag. Raia was probably the only restaurant that was any good for quality food. However, while I do expect paying more in tourist area and Dubai in general, the prices charged for any food in the hotel were bordering on exorbitant. I would suggest organising other places to eat, possibly even at the Nakheel Mall where its reasonably priced, more selection and better quality.

The hotel is very nice. The selection of food available in the buffet and the other restaurants is impressive. The pool is amazing as is the beach area. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The view across The Palm from our balcony was very impressive. My main constructive feedback would be the cost of drinks around the pool which were very expensive for things like a chocolate milkshake or a small beer. With the price of the hotel I expected more reasonable pricing for drinks. There is also no entertainment in the evenings which would have been nice especially for those with young families. While the location on The Palm is very impressive it’s important to know the traffic on The Palm can be very busy and add considerable time to a journey when travelling off The Palm on an excursion or just going into the city.

Only thing that on arrival check in no Wellcome drinks and no hand and face towels offered. Breakfast was limited in choice. Definitely not worth £300 a night. My own experience based on my stay hotel not worth more than £180-£220 a night anything more than this amount it is not worth it. Due to similar properties when you do compared you can get better value for money still luxury and beach front property.

Our stay at Taj Exotica was truly memorable. The hotel is impeccably clean, with every space - from the lobby to the rooms - maintained to the highest standard. Breakfast was a daily delight, offering a wide range of options that catered beautifully to different tastes.

One of the standout moments was the complimentary upgrade to a sea view room, offered as a goodwill gesture by the team. It was a generous touch that elevated our experience. The food throughout the resort was consistently excellent, and the spa services were top-tier - calming, professional, and deeply restorative.

The only downside was our experience with the shisha. We paid £55 to try it one evening, but unfortunately it was poor quality. Even after requesting a replacement, it remained disappointing. That said, this was a minor blip in an otherwise exceptional stay.

Highly recommended for those seeking a luxurious, well-managed retreat with thoughtful service and excellent amenities.

The hotel does have the wow factor with the interior design and decor throughout. The hotel room was spacious, cleaned everyday and had many bottles of water (that was needed in the Dubai sun).

Breakfast choice was very good. Breakfast drinks orders were very hit and miss. Sometimes we got half an order, sometimes we didn’t get any. Hot drinks are available within the breakfast room, but it would be advisable to either offer an order system or decide not. Many times we had finished our breakfast and were unsure whether we had a coffee coming or not.

The on site restaurant - Roaring Rabbit - was very eye catching. The food was spectacular especially the tikka masala and steak sandwich. Happy hour drinks are good. The rooftop bar was stunning, although keep an eye on your order/bill as if you don’t say single shot they will provide and charge for a double.

Pool and beach area was clean and comfortable. The cool boxes were a nice touch as were the ice lollies. The daiquiri deal was very good value too.

All in all a good hotel with many positives.

In terms of areas for improvement - suggest the gym is a bit cooler, it was quite hot in there. Massages are prohibitively expensive for the average person and there were no 60 minute options.

What an amazing stay at the Taj Exotica! We did some thorough research on hotels before choosing, especially as we were travelling with 2 children aged 6 months and 3 years. The Taj Exotica did not disappoint one bit!

From arriving at the hotel and the friendly welcome by porter team and the front desk readying our room early, it was truly the beginning of a wonderful stay.

We booked the Luxury Suite Sea View King Bed with Sofa Bed and Club Lounge Access.

Let me begin with the Club Lounge Access. By no means was it the reason for booking the room, we just thought it was a nice addition to have for convenience if we ever needed a quick bite or something for the kids.

The Club Lounge Access was probably one of the highlights of our trip!
The afternoon tea is where the magic truly took place...

Imagine a Ritz style afternoon tea with all the extras - that's exactly what this was and then some! Every day there were new sandwiches, hot food, desserts and savouries. You could order hot and cold drinks, bespoke to your taste buds. Our family was well and truly spoilt by the Taj Exotica and we cannot thank them enough as our 3yr old who is a fussy eater at times had enough options to appease him!
There was even a 2hr cocktail hour included which just goes to show how amazing and addition the Club Lounge Access was!

Our room was extremely spacious with a large living room and humungous bedroom, closet area, giant bathroom and plenty other space!

True 5* experience at Taj!

Luckily we had a hire car, I don’t know what a taxi costs but I would imagine a fair bit. You are a good 30 minute drive from downtown, without traffic, and 45 mins to the airport.

We stayed at Taj Exotica Resort at The Palm, Dubai as a family of four for 3 nights and had a truly unforgettable experience. What made our stay even more special was celebrating our son's birthday during our time there—and the resort staff went above and beyond to make it magical.

From the start, the staff was exceptionally courteous and thoughtful. On our son's birthday, they surprised us with a cake during breakfast, beautifully decorated our room with another cake in the evening, and even gave him a lovely gift before we left for a day outing. These thoughtful gestures truly touched our hearts and made the day incredibly special for him—and for us.

The resort itself is stunning, with a huge pool flanked by poolside bars on either side—perfect for both kids and adults to relax and enjoy. The breakfast spread was impressive every single day, offering a wide variety of high-quality dishes. We also tried in-room dining, which was excellent in both taste and presentation.

Overall, Taj Exotica delivered a perfect mix of luxury, warmth, and attention to detail. Highly recommended for families looking for a premium and personalized experience in Dubai!

The hotel is very clean, staff are friendly, and there is a games room for kids. Pool is very big but not deep; beach is clean but there is a bit of small rocks.

the wallpappers in the room and the carpet in hallways are oddly colour a weird blue thats all i can think of , the hotel is located so far away that if you dont have a bike or a car then its a nightmare to walk due to the untolerable heat in dubai

It was an awesome experience for our entire group (2 families inckuding 3 kids). We even got a complimentary upgrade which made our trip even more great. The food service in the restaurants (Palm Kitchen and Varq) was very good and the food was excellent & very flavourful.

It was unfortunate not to have any towels placed in room on second day of stay. Took two calls to reception for towels to be brought to room.
Not what you expect in a hotel of this standard.
Buffet breakfast and dinner were very good and service excellent.
