Our stay at Dukes The Palm was truly wonderful. We are a family of 5, and our vacation ended up being extended due to the war and flight disruptions. Despite the unexpected situation, the hotel—and the country—deserve 1000 stars for how they made us feel during this time.

Everyone at the hotel was incredibly kind, welcoming, and supportive. The level of hospitality we experienced was beyond anything we expected.

A very special thank you to Asif, the Rooms Manager, and Alejandra, the Public Relations Manager. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable, and their kindness meant so much to our family.

While we have been looking for flights to return home, the truth is we almost don’t want to leave. It is the first time we have ever felt this way about a place.

Thank you to the entire team at Dukes The Palm for turning a stressful situation into such a positive and unforgettable experience.

AC wasn’t working on the first day. Staff are slow and unresponsive. Paid breakfast but you can’t have an iced coffee (this is an extra charge), bizarre!! Telephone in the room didn’t work either. Overall a very poor service, definitely not a 5 star. Has gone downhill massively since management has changed.

staff, easy parking, convenient, even though the rooms are old, don't have electric sockets USA friendly, it's mainly catering to Europeans, I live in Chicago, but struggled to have sockets for my devices which is from USA, breakfast was good. Fantastic hotel!
Great staff, friendly, accommodating and so helpful.
Great breakfast and dinner options.
Pool area was great, house keepers around the pool are very helpful.
Couldn’t fault the hotel.
Room was clean and spacious - we asked for extra water, hangers and few other things. Everything we asked for was delivered within 10 minutes or less.
Definitely going to stay again on our next trip.
Fantastic for families aswell - we had our 14 month old with us

We had an amazing 10-night stay at Dukes The Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, and I honestly can’t fault the experience. The hotel was incredibly accommodating, especially towards our 3-year-old, which made such a difference for us as a family.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Over the course of our stay, we built genuinely lovely relationships with many of the team. A special mention to Hnin, Irfan, the GBR Manager, who was consistently attentive and professional, Suri the chef, and Paramjit along with the rest of the security staff, who were always friendly, helpful, and reassuring throughout our stay.

One of the most thoughtful highlights was the surprise birthday decorations and a beautiful fruit spread arranged in our room after the staff found out I was pregnant, which we had not requested at all. The attention to detail was incredible, and they even included images from our previous visits, which was such a personal and touching gesture. It truly made us feel remembered and genuinely cared for.

The level of care, warmth, and personal attention we received made this holiday unforgettable. We left feeling relaxed, appreciated, and already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommended, especially for families seeking exceptional service and heartfelt hospitality. 🌴✨

Everything was good. Except two things. To have the two free drinks because of silver member seemed impossible and the coffee with the breakfast was terrible. Otherwise everything was really super. The concierge Kevin was fantastic :-)

The hotel has changed significantly since our visit a few years ago and sadly no longer reflects a five-star standard. The rooms feel tired and unkempt, and it was disappointing to have to pay extra for basic items such as standard lattes at breakfast which always was included before. The overall quality of the food has also declined. Unfortunately, despite having stayed here many times in the past, we will not be returning.

The staff at the Dukes Hotel are all very friendly and willing to help. Our room was clean and tidy, but the bathroom was showing its age. The toilet didn't always flush properly, and the shower door seal leaked, which meant every shower produced a small flood on the bathroom floor.
We did inform Reception, and they sent engineers to our room to try to fix the issues. Whilst the shower seal was improved, it still din't prevent leaks on the floor, and the toilet flushing issues remained throughout our stay.
The room had an electronic 'Do Not Disturb' and 'Clean My Room' indicator, but the staff didn't seem to take any notice of them. Once they knocked to clean our room when the Do Not Disturb indicator was on, and twice they failed to clean the room, despite the Clean My Room indicator showing, so we had to ask at Reception for our room to be clean. To be fair, they did act on this very quickly, but it would've been nice to have had the room cleaned without asking, particularly as we'd gone to the trouble of setting the indicator.

Lovely room at Dukes, staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area is a little tired. Pool itsf is lovely but needs some upgrades ro tiles etc. Also gets very busy on weekend. Struggled to find 2 sun beds together. Beer very expensive too, 69 dir 500 mls of Peroni. 15 less in the Hilton down the road. Overall very good stay a d would happily return.

Doors- disgustingly dirty.
Carpet filthy and stank of mould meant to be clean for praying can’t imagine last time it was washed or cleaned.

Reception is a circus and far too busy and no ones ever at guest relations

5 Star Hotel?? Please!!! 3 star at best.

Was told a manager would come and speak to us about a cockroach being in the room but no one came and no one cared.

The Ula beach restaurant was nice only positive thing I can say. Good location but traffic is a nightmare in the evenings getting off the palm.

Hotel is quite run down outside of the lobby. Rooms were big but alot of the switches didn't work in the rooms. We didn't have enough hot water each day for two people to shower. So someone had to have a cold shower each day. When complaining to the hotel we were told to have shorter showers or wait longer for more hot water to heat up. Even though we left the hot water switch on for overnight for 7hours. Very poor reaction from the hotel reception team. Beach is lovely and the staff on the beach are really friendly and helpful that was the main positive from the stay.

We stayed for a total of 6 days and during 3 of those 6 days they didn’t clean the room even though we requested it. We were gone all those days for at least 6-8 hours. Then they came to our room late at night and claimed they had stopped by an hour prior but I was asleep (which was a lie - I have young children and they were wide awake bouncing off the walls). Just know that if you go there, you should expect to do your own cleaning and that your room will smell musty when it’s not cleaned.

Very nice and modern 5 star hotel. When my reservation was made I was given the option to add breakfast for $5US, it's definitely worth it. No self parking, only valet but it's free (not anymore if you tip the drivers which is a must anyway). Private beach and location at the Palm Jumeira in front of the mall and monorail is a plus.

The only things redeeming about Dukes were the pool, multiple places to hang out (when checked out and the location)
The rooms and decor was so old fashioned, the bathroom had a smell with a broken toilet and a fridge opposite the toilet.
No sauna or steam room. The grounds had peeling paint all through. The lobby was poorly designed, always crowded because the front desk were super slow.

Not the experience we expected.

We moved from the Anantara hotel to Dukes the palm as we heard a lot of goods things. We booked a room with breakfast for 3 days through hotel.com. When we arrived the hotel said they did not have this booking. A particular rude receptionist called Chris seemed to have a very poor attitude and didnt listen nor take our complaints seriously. Vikas and Asif were amazing and a credit to the industry and without their help my time on holiday would have been a mess. The pool is way to deep for children so you if you cant swim or have small kids there is a limited shallow end. Not a great experience and I wont be going again.

Great Stay - Highly Recommend!

Check-in was quick and easy, which set the tone for a smooth stay. The pool is absolutely amazing, and the rooms are wonderful – clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I was especially impressed with the housekeeping team; they do an excellent job.

We did have a minor issue during our stay, reported to the front desk and it was resolved promptly and professionally. Great service all around!

The only downside was breakfast – it can get very busy. But with so many guests and lots of hungry people, it’s understandable.

Overall, a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Arrived about midnight. No q at reception but the hotel must use a very antiquated system. Every interaction with the computer took the poor check in staff ages. Check out took even longer. It literally took 7 mins of tapping to check out our two rooms….there were no incidentals or issues. That should’ve taken a minute at most! Therefore there is a sense of panic at all times at the desks. The poor poor staff!

Rooms were ok but tired. Lighting systems and switches in both rooms were temperamental and old.

The lift call touchscreen devices are ridiculously complex, it’s too easy to call the wrong floor and therefore create delays in the system. Just go back to a normal call button system.

Breakfast was a chaotic shambles. The food was good though. The poor staff are overworked.

Lazy river had mould at tide level all the way round. It felt grubby. The main pool and beach have an amazing view, although again, the pool was damaged and felt grubby.

The staff try hard but are disillusioned and they are too busy to provide genuine customer service. The ambiance in the hotel is not relaxing.

The hotel is cheaper than most and it shows. Not worth it. We moved after one night to the Fairmont Palm 200 metres along the road. Far superior in every way.

We had 3 staying to a room, the bed was comfortable the sofa bed not so comfortable, the sofa bed squeaks and a little dip in it. There were two rooms in the executive studio, one room was oddly shaped and meant little passing room if you have a sofa bed. Both the GBR and Khyber great options, GBR can be limited for vegetarians and the Khyber repetitive from a set menu. Staff are great at the hotel always willing to help. The location absolutely the best, the Nakheel mall is a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. Cost to Dubai mall about £15 for 5 in Careem app Hala taxis, hotel charges 20 Dhirams per day per room tax. We are Expedia vip members, I asked for a room upgrade non was available even though we went in off peak, and if you look to book a room there for higher grade rooms seemed to be availability for newly paying guests. Don’t expect a room upgrade ever if u are on Expedia.
