La casa azul is a mini hacienda that its being renovated.

We really liked the room, with a colonial style, the rooms are big and clean, with 2 large beds and a hidden tv and vault ceilings (beautiful).
The bathroom is completely renovated, very pretty with a stone and brick finish and with a very good water pressure (difficult to find in cuernavaca).
The linen very nice and comfortable,
We tried room service, and we like it, a lit bit expensive but it was okay.
This hotel is really for couples, fresh new couples that want to spend a weekend together.

Things we didnt like of the hotel:
La casa azul is in a bad area, hard to reach and not pleasant to the eye. Small streets with a lot of traffic. Also, they have very few (very few) parking space. Its an underground parking lot for 8 cars, you need to leave your car with someone to do all the maneuvers.

It's not a hotel for kids or family, the pool is small and really cold, and there is nothing, absolutely nothing for the kids to do during the stay.

Also, I wouldn't recommend walking out of the hotel, as I said, it's in a bad area, prefer to take a cab or a car and drove somewhere.

All and all, if you are planning on a getaway with your love one, this is a very nice option and you will have a great time here.

I loved the room “Coyoacán”, it’s furniture, architecture, amenities and quietness. It was super clean and the towels were so soft and white. It was a unique hotel because of its architecture and luscious garden, furniture and decorations on the corridors. The things I didn’t like were the area where it’s located; the way to enter the hotel (push a button and say you’re a guest); restaurant was closed, not convenient; they have a beautiful dining area with equipales…I would’ve loved to dine there especially for breakfast! I didn’t enjoy their property for this reason.

WIFI is weak. I literally had to step out of my room and sit by the pool to get a couple of bars. The front door situation is horrible. You don't have direct access to the hotel you have to press on a caller and at times it took em a while to open the door.

The area is a bit “rough”, but it’s walking distance to most things , which is nice . The restaurant wasn’t open at the onset of visit, which was disappointing but it opened two days in. Coffee was available & the service staff were very accommodating & attentive. The rooms are comfortable, bathrooms could use updating.
The staff were very friendly. Two pools , nice common areas to sit and visit.

This most charming hotel is situated in the center of town. It is loaded with shops that are all curbside and often spill onto the streets. Our room had a balcony which opened over a busy cobblestone street where we also found street musicians to perform right below our balcony window.
Within the hotel walls, you’ll find pools, an intimate and genuinely Mexican decored restaurant, and rooms that reflect an historic and humble culture.

The building was very beautiful unfortunately the location it was situated did not seem the best for travelers. We only stayed one night as we were there for a wedding but in the immediate surrounding area we didn't wish to try our luck venturing out for lunch. The hotel conveniently had a restaurant and the breakfast we had was pretty good, however we did have a minor issue... The server brought us out some bread after serving our coffees and we each had a piece thinking that it was complimentary. We found out when we paid for the bill that they charged us for each piece of bread we had. We've eaten at multiple places during our vacation that provided complimentary chips and salsa so we were a bit surprised by that.
The bedroom we stayed in was spacious and had a lot of charm unfortunately the bed spread seemed old and had some stains on it and even some of the white furniture had some stains. The bathroom was the most disappointing part as it was tiny compared to the rest of the room and it was outdated. It took about 10 minutes until we got the shower to start running hot water. Our room was upstairs and the wifi connection was terrible. Overall this place did the trick for a one night stay but I probably wouldn't want to stay for multiple nights based on the price.

El gerente nos dijo que mejor no saliéramos del hotel por seguridad

PROs - The staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful! Great central location, the room was huge and even had a mini courtyard.

CONs - the patio pool urgently needs a good scrub. As other reviewers have mentioned its not the cleanest. Also the parking lot is very, very tight so you need to leave your car keys with the valet to move the cars around.

The hotel staff literally saved our lives. When we were parking our car upon check in, a worker noticed brake fluid dripping from the car. An hour later, the concierge called our room and told us to come to the garage. They told us to call Hertz immediately to get them to send a new car because this one was no longer safe to drive, the brakes were operating at 10% capacity. A pad had fallen off and fluid had leaked to dangerously low levels. The concierge was up with me until 3:00am dealing with a tow truck. The next day they waited for our replacement car while we toured the city and called me when it arrived. While there may be \"nicer\" hotels in Cuernavaca, this hotel's staff is highly professional and they care about their customers. I will never stay anywhere else in Cuernavaca.

We stayed 3 nights in Cuernavaca and we were able to walk most places from hotel. From the street the high fence surrounding Casa Azul hides this lovely hotel. Coming from Mexico City, Casa Azul was a great place to relax and charge our batteries. The pool and garden like surroundings were very nice and peaceful. The hotel is immaculate and there is great pride taken by the staff in maintaining the property. The room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and the room was decorated with very nice artifacts.

The Hotel is beautiful, however I was the only guest so the pool was not heated the food appeared to be old, was dry and sometimes tasteless . The internet in the room did not work. The Spa was amazing. Downtown Cuernavaca was constantly blocked by traffic.

This is a wonderful hotel with a responsive and pleasant staff. The tooms have character and were beautifully decorated. The public lounges and pool areas were great. The only criticism is that the wifi is weak and spotty. But I would still stay here again.

Perfect choice for my family and twin toddlers

We booked another hotel in Cuernavaca but when we saw it we got out running. Expedia saved our lives, I called them during the same time as we where trying to get out of the awful hotel we had booked and in only 10 minutes the awesome Expedia rep found La Casa Azul. From the minute we arrived at Casa Azul, the bell man kindly greeted us and helped us with our 6 luggages and HUGE box that had 2 car seats, besides our stroller and twins. The check in took 5 minutes and we arrived to our room with 2 queen beds, high sealings, perfect for our family.
The staff is extremely nice, the restaurant is great (Victor and Leo). The pool was right in front of our room and we often ordered food service to our room. There is only one thing... the rooms actually have vintage deco and you have to be very careful with your kids so you wont break anything. There is a few stars but not high in case you have strollers. But other than that this is the hotel you want to stay in if you have children. WE LOVED IT! Hugs to all the staff all the way from LA, Ca. MUCHAS GRACIAS!

We loved everything about the hotel. The service was excellent, the food was fantastic, the one hour spa coupon was excellent, and the room was very comfortable . It was just the stepping out into the downtown traffic and contamination that took a bit away from the experience. But it is walking distance from all the sites in Cuernavaca and the good thing is that inside the hotel we did not hear any traffic noise.

Wow,the city of Cuernavaca has really not taken care of their roads around the center of town so expect a congested and busy historical district! Despite the loss of charm that Cuernavaca probably had 20 years ago, this hotel was excellent! It was a much better choice for the price than the famous Las Mananitas down the street. There is not a very \"hotel like\" entrance to the place, but once inside those gates, a real gem awaits. The restaurant was absolutely fabulous and each of the uniquely decorated rooms were comfortable. It was two pool areas. We did not use the spa (although it supposedly has a sauna, steam, etc.) Highly recommend!

Very warm, comfortable and quiet hotel located close to the downtown plaza. Stayed for 4 nights and had one dinner a breakfast within the hotel. They have a nice indoor / outdoor restaurant with a good menu which includes steak, chicken & seafood. The meal was good and if you just want to relax in a very nice atmosphere without heading out I would recommend it. The rooms were comfortable and it wasn't too hot as I went in October 2014 as the only thing I worried about was the a/c didn't put out a high volume of air so if it's very hot I don't know if it could of kept the room cool enough?? If you like your shower very hot then you may not be happy as it was warm which was ok for me. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel if staying in Cuernavaca.

I was shocked that a \"boutique\" hotel that costs what it does per night had the hardest, most uncomfortable bed I've slept on in a long time. Also, the linens were rough. This hotel could be so great if they changed the bedding.

Location is great if you want to stay in downtown Cuernavaca.

Overall, the hotel is lovely. There aren't many good hotels in Cuernavaca. Since the 4 star hotels were fully booked, we decided to give La Casa Azul a shot. I have to say I was very impressed. For a 3.5 star hotel, it is in excellent condition. The staff was very polite and helpful. The on-site restaurant was very good. We even had a massage and it was top notch. The only detail I would highlight is that the Spa needs a little work. But besides that, I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and I plan on staying here again in the future.

An little oasis in Cuernavaca!

We stayed for one night (only) in this wonderful hotel. Each room is complety furnished and decorated with a different theme, each representing a state in Mexico. There is a great deal of attention to detail. A true place to relax and rewind right in the center of Cuernavaca.

We know many hotels on almost all continents, but this quiet and hidden oasis is truly the most magical place we ever stayed in. The dinner and breakfast were delicious! but be prepared for a slow service

Local attractions are nearby (1-2 miles walk) and access to the Hotel is very straight forward. The Hotel staff are very professional, friendly and attentive.

Quiet oasis in a busy city

The hotel is non descript from the curb, but once inside the walls it is a quiet,comfortable retreat. The service is excellent and the amenities are good. It is a bit of a walk to the Centro Historico. The only downside was the chairs in the room were Willow type chairs, and the backs curved towards the seat. We could not comfortably use them. The pool area was nice although the pool water was cold.

Lovely Spot in Central Cuernavaca

Lovely oasis within walking distance of central Cuernavaca, the Palacio de Cortez, the Robert Brady Museo (an absolute DON\"T MISS) and the bontanical jardin. Beautiful gardens, two pools, a lovely restaurant with very good food. The breakfast that was included is a bit limited, but you can spend a few pesos and order more if you need. Wifi is free, but very spotty and we couldn't log on much of the time. However, you feel so far away and relaxed you may not miss the internet! Even though the hotel is centrally located, the room was completely quiet. Also, if you're planning a side trip to Taxco - which we'd recommend - the bus station is a block away! Very convenient!

Santuary in a City that is overwelmed by traffic.

We throughly enjoyed this hotel. Cuernevaca is an old City that has not managed it's cars and traffic well. Cuernevaca is being destoyed by the car and by noise. I will not return. The Casa Azul is a Santuary in this City that needs to really consider it inheritance and the future of it's historic core before it is further destoyed. Our trip would have been very unpleasant without the Casa Azul. Stay at the Casa Azul, you will love it. It will make your trip and the food at the resturant is great.

The hotel is immaculate, comfortable, and beautifully decorated, but right smack in the middle of Cuernavaca. This might be an advantage for some, but downtown can get noisy and stuffy. The staff were quite helpful. Wireless was available in common areas, though we never could get it to work in the bedroom. The breakfast is delicious. A good option if staying downtown.

Hotel Boutique La Casa Azul

Lovely hotel. Several outside sitting places and two small pools with well-tended gardens. Good restaurant! Very friendly, helpful staff.
Be sure to ask for a quiet room, one not next to the street!

A good choice

Hotel Aqua Azul is immacutely clean with a great atmosphere. It has two pools with warmish water...nice and refreshing on a hot day. It has a wonderful breakfast included.
The location is 4 blocks north of the zocalo.
We were charged extra for a third person in the room even though we thought we had already paid for 3.

Former convent a perfect sanctuary

After hours on the road from Oaxaca, the hotel was a perfect sanctuary. Its patios and gardens were beautiful and quiet. As we have often found in Mexico, the room was large and decorated with original artwork.

Great stay

I can´t speak enough about the kindness of the hotel staff.
I was alone with a bad leg which requires me to walk slowly and use a cane. Everyone treated me like a queen. The room was large, and comfortable . I didn´t have a chance to use the pool but it looked inviting.
