Comfortable hotel in Hamburg -Bergedorf , 30 minutes from Hamburg Center ( train station/ city hall) by S -Bahn; Train runs every 10 minutes ; Bergedorf itself has a charming historic town center with a half timbered church and a small castle surrounded by a moat close to a park and a large pedestrian zone with shops and restaurants; while the hotel is one block off the town center off a large road , it is quiet; comfortable beds; coffee machine , hot water kettle ; very nice breakfast (selection of hot dishes , cold cuts, cheeses, rolls, cereals/yoghurt). I missed a safe and a fridge in the room . Staff is very friendly, professional, and accommodating . Also good for medium sized groups ; has meeting rooms & a gym, no sauna.

The hotel’s rating is well-earned and not too pricey considering the services you get. I think some renovations will soon be needed as the hotel sees a lot of heavy use (a good thing) so it’s resulted in some chairs having chipped leather. In my particular case, the grouting on the bathroom walls was falling off and the floor lining needs a replacement.

Most importantly: the beds were very comfortable.

Good experience, nice room. A bit on the old days type but I don’t mind as long as it’s clean and doesn’t smell. I missed the air conditioning (there was none) and the fact that the complimentary water waiting for us in the room was, for some reason, not kept in the empty working little fridge, but rather just underneath it. Very good selection for breakfast.

A nice hotel located just a short walk from the main train station. Friendly staff and very helpful. Rooms are a generous size and are well maintained and quite, with no noticable traffic noise etc. Breakfast offers a very generous selection with something for everyone. Overall a very nice hotel.

good value for money

you wouldn't book it if you want to see Hamburg city center every day but it's a nice place for all the people who come to Bergedorf on business.
Room is clean and cozy, the staff is great and the restaurant food is very nice too.
Was missing a safe and a bigger bed but I could manage for one night. I will be back if work pulls me towards that area again.

Hotel entrance and staff were friendly and very polite. My room smelled so bad of stale cigarettes that I had to ask to be changed. Second room didn't smell but wasn't very clean. Bathroom floor had pubic hairs on it. That said, bed was comfortable and food was really good.

Horrible management in a far out location

This hotel is way too far from the city center however it is close to the train station so it's not difficult to get to the city center. There was no air conditioning in our room and when I complained I was told that some of the rooms did not have air conditioning yet as they were renovating the property, and I was told that they were going to change our room the next day, but they never did. Also our flight was canceled on the day we were supposed to arrive due to weather conditions and the girl who checked us in and told us that we would not be charged for that first night, yet on check out and we were told that they were not going to refund us for that first night! When I called to complain to Hotels.com, The hotel told them that they could not refund anything and that none of their rooms had air-conditioning! So obviously the staff has no clue about their own hotel and they make promises to guess that they cannot keep! We complained about the room several times, yet they told Hotels.com Gold there were no reports of any complaints! I will never stay at this hotel again more for the principle of their lying and the fact that it is way too
far from the city.

Walls and door don't keep out much noise. There was a guest party that made a lot of noise which echoed through the room corridors. Rooms need updating. Parking is underground and costs 13.50 Euro per night.

Too hot to handle

Our bedroom on the top floor, which was clean and functional, had two single beds with firm, but comfortable mattresses and duvets. Other facilities included free WiFi Internet (which was rather slow but adequate for basic browsing and checking emails). We received two bottles of complimentary mineral water upon arrival, but not on any of the other three days.

The small bathroom provided essential items, including a washbasin, shower cubicle (with glass or polycarbonate door), a wall-mounted hairdryer, and a WC. behind the door). Everything was in good working order. However, there were no bars of soap or any of the complimentary toiletries that are usually available in four star hotels.

The Expedia website states that the hotel has In-room climate control (air conditioning). Our bedroom had no air conditioning whatsoever. Even though we opened both windows, the temperature in our room reached 27 degrees C. A four star hotel should be air conditioned throughout.

Great hotel with access to good links into Hamburg

Really nice hotel. Had some decorating starting, but mostly out of the way and unnoticeable except for a smell of fresh paint. Rooms were a good size and the shower room bathroom was nicely done. Shower was good enough to take a layer of skin off, so watch the temperature mix.
We only had B&B rooms so didn't eat here in the evening but can recommend the Block House a short walk away. The breakfast was vast. Options from a hot and cold Buffet to cater for all tastes. Cereal selection, cold meats and juices were super but my favourite was the selection of cooked items including to die for pork meatballs and pancakes.
There is also a small but nicely decorated bar.
In the hotel there is a spa and gym, but as only there for 3 nights and out with family the majority of time I didn't get use them.
Possibly try to avoid rooms overlooking the road as it is a busy road all day and night so some noise if window open. Their courtyard side would be perfect.
Bergedorf is about 13miles from central Hamburg. Its well serviced by train and busses. Bergedorf town centre has changed a lot over the years and has a good modern shopping centre as a quaint older section. It makes a great base to get away from the busy main Hamburg but still able to explore both places.

Fine hotel for the business traveller

Rooms are clean and functional, not necessarily cozy; most business travellers are not looking for a home away from home, not being on business made me want that feeling on this trip as I stayed for more than a week. The pale color scheme is reminiscent of a hospital room, and the stark b/w prints of hamburg scenes arranged across two walls add to the strict, straight lines.
Use of phones is expensive @ 30 cents a min and one would wish for a better message indicator than having to go to the reception in the lobby to receive a hand-written message when a call was missed. An in-the-room coffee/tea prep station could make things a bit more more comfortable for night owls and/or early risers. The bar in the room is well stocked..
The restaurant and bar services and food are excellent. The access to e-mail via computer in the business center is a welcome feature. The location of this Ramada Hotel is convenient to RR, busses and taxis, as well to shopping and church, All in all a highly recommendable place to stay

Hotel contributed to pleasent stay

Though needed extra blankets (twin size on a double bed) and the maid kept wanting to clean on her schedule not ours, our stay was excellent as was the attention and services we received from the front desk. They went out of their way to accommodate unexpected changes that popped up and could have impacted our stay, but because of their care it did not happen, They are what service is all about. They gave us confidence in their competence and we hope to stay their again should we be in that area or even close to it.

Hotel mit guten Frühstück in ruhiger Lage

Bei diesem Hotel ist insbesondere das hervorragende Frühstück hervorzuheben, der Frühstücksraum war auch gut dimensioniert, so dass es keine Probleme gab einen freien Platz zu finden. Das Personal beim Frühstücksbuffet war sehr aufmerksam und hat immer zeitnah nachgefüllt und auch abgeräumt ohne dabei zu bedrängen. Die Lage hat des Hotels hat mir ebenfalls gut gefallen dadurch dass es nicht direkt in Hamburg liegt, war es ruhiger, aber die Verkehrsanbindung in Richtung Hamburg war gut, so dass man innerhalb von 30 Minuten in Hamburg ist.

Was weniger gut war, die Dusche hatte ein kleineres Schimmelproblem, war aber ansonsten sauber, aber eben nicht mehr im idealem Zustand. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sauber, da gab es ebenfalls nichts zu meckern.

In Summe hat aber alles gut gepasst und ich war sehr zufrieden und habe mich im Hotel sehr wohl gefühlt.

Die Unterkunft liegt nah am Bahnhof, somit erreicht man sehr gut die Innenstadt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ich hatte ein Zimmer am Aufzug, der sehr laut ist. Mir wurde sofort ein anderes angeboten. Die Zimmer selber sind in Ordnung. Das Buffet auch gut.

Schöner Aufenthalt mit kleinen optischen Mängeln

Der Check- In war schnell und kompetent. Das Personal sehr aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und super freundlich. Das Zimmer kann eine Renovierung vertragen, Teppich voller Flecken, Tapete mit mehreren Streifen und Abdrücken, das Badezimmer: man sieht die Sprühstoße vom Reinigungsmittel. Es war mal ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer vorhanden, wurde leider entfernt.

Godt hotel , pænt og rent. Venligt personale. Dog virkede aircondition/ventilation ikke på værelset hvilket var drøn ærgerligt da det var meget varmt og åbent vindue åbnede for en del trafiklarm.

Das Frühstück war topp. Es gab eine große Auswahl (Ruhrei, Pancakes, Bacon, Würstchen, Joghurt, Früchte, Lachs u.v.m.) Die Speisen waren von guter Qualität und wurden auch immer sehr gut nachgefüllt. Großes Lob an den Herrn in der morgendlichen Küche.
Das Frühstück ist als außerordentlich Positives zu nennen, der Allgemeinzustand des Zimmers als das Negative. Das Familienzimmer war zwar echt riesig und auch an sich gut ausgestattet (hell durch viele Fenster und Fenster auch zum öffnen), aber es gehört längst renoviert. Teppich sieht schlimm aus, genauso wie die Dusche und der Badezimmerboden-und decke. Wenn das besser gewesen wäre, könnten wir das Hotel anstandslos empfehlen.
Parken in der Tiefgarage irgendwie unübersichtlich und könnte man aufgrund der Randlage auch kostenlos für die Gäste anbieten, aber 12,50€/Nacht ist okay. Hatten wir schon teurer. Personal war so und so. Toll fanden wir Teezubereitung auf dem Zimmer und Wasser in der Lobby. Bei starker Hitze könnte die fehlende Klimaanlage im Zimmer zum Problem werden. Betten empfindet jeder anders, aber wir fanden gut, dass die Kinderbetten auch groß und stabil waren.

Själva hotellet är bra i sig, ligger på ett bra läge. Frukosten var god. Men det luktade inte gott i vårat rum, luktade unket och det gjorde täcket och kuddarna också. Sen var det mycket hundhår runt i rummet.

Endnu et dejligt ophold på H4

Dette store hotel har en rigtig god beliggenhed. 2 min. gang til centrum, med gågade, mange dejlige butikker, gode restauranter, en dejlig park, indkøbscenter samt smukke bygninger. Værelserne er store med super gode senge. Der er køleskab og god opbevaringsplads til tøjet. Fint badeværelse. Fantastisk morgenmad og fin parkeringskælder mod betaling.det mindre gode er, at den lille terasse som vi gerne ville benytte ved morgenmaden var reduceret til 3 borde med parasoller, resten var ryger pladser med stole og askebægere. Så hele terassen blev brugt som ryge plads. Ikke særlig rart. Der mangler en lænestol på værelset så ophold ikke alene skal ske i sengen.

Ett väldigt prisvärt hotell med fantastisk frukost. Nära till Bergedorf centrum och slottet.
Stort rum om man bor en hel familj.
Lite hårda sängar, kallvitt ljus i rummet och lite oengagerad personal i receptionen.
Skulle absolut rekommendera detta hotell ändå.

Lage des Hotels ist zentral kurzer Weg zum Bahnhof,mit guter Anbindung zur Stadtmitte.Probleme gibt es immer wieder bei der Rechnungsstellung.Wird eine Rechnung ausgestellt,ist der Rechnungsbetrag nledriger aus als man bezahlt hat.
