I'll start with the good. The woman at the front desk was fantastic.
That's about it.
The hotel smells strong like cigarettes in the hallways very strong (and I'm a smoker and it bothered me). Parking is 14 Euro and is quite tight. And they require you to bring the ticket to them to validate it which is odd. A lot of people hanging out in front of the building. Rooms are small and the beds are hard. The toilet and shower are in a fiberglass box with a step up which is very odd...makes it difficult in the dark without banging your toes. Just an overall unpleasant stay.

The staff has been very helpful and attentive at all times. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The location is convenient, close to the tran situation and a commercial zone. Only 10-15 minutes away from downtown (Altstadt). Stay again if business travel brings me to Hamburg? Yes, definitely.

This place is a low budget hotel. I paid over 200 euros per night and it had zero amenities. Zero. Even the wifi was so bad that my phone only worked when it was off. So only stay here if it is in the 100 euro range. Then you cant complain about getting nothing.

Good transport links

Hotel is close to the u-bahn and s-bahn, so easy to get into central Hamburg and is also on the line directly from the airport.
Room was as expected from Ibis, shower water pressure was a bit low, and the bed was a bit on the firm side.

The room was spacious, comfortable, modern. Quite wide range of food&drink selection for breakfast. S1 underground station was 3min walk, that takes you directly to the city center or the airport. Good restaurants nearby (try the steakhouse!)

A good choice

I stay at this hotel when I come to Hamburg to visit my cousin: it is a working visit. The hotel is always very clean, the room is good, the bed is comfortable, the shower is great, the air-conditioning works. The location is so convenient. Perfect! The bed was uncomfortable mattress too thin. The room was clean but spoilt by the the carpet. I thought there was smears of black shoe polish but my friend pointed out if it is under the bed it is the design. Awful ! The double room was a bit squashed for 2 people. No facilities in the room. With such hot weather one should have assess to cold water.
The bathroom was clean but insulation too noisy.
The staff were good and helpful.
It is was not budget hotel of the group hotels, but there is room for improvement.

This hotel was a great location as the Wandsbeker Chaussee stop on the S Bahn and the U bahn are one block away or about a 2-3 minute walk. They take about 10 minutes to get into the centre depending on your stop. We went over for the Christmas markets and needed a no thrills hotel as we would be spending hardly any time in the room.
The hotel itself was good. The bedding was comfortable and we both got a good nights sleep. As other reviews have mentioned there is no noise despite the fact you are near a main road and a train station stop. The wi fi was very hit and miss; but we are old fashioned and just had a map and lots of Gluhwein to guide us (yes we did get lost). The breakfast was great and there was plenty of variety and the staff were all very helpful.
Locally there are plenty of shops and I forgot my swimming costume as we wanted to visit the local olympic sized swimming pool (Alster-Schwimmhalle), so picked up one at the Decathlon store one block away. For snacks there is also an Aldi and a Netto food store one to two blocks away. Apart from those we didn't explore the local area a lot, but it did look lively in the evening and there is a university campus close to the hotel.
Would we stay at this hotel again, yes we would; however I think on balance I personally would prefer to be a little closer to the centre.

If Ibis had an \"Ideal\" brand...

A very pleasant two night stay, combined with amicable and helpful staff as well as a very modern feel.

The appearance of the hotel is pristine and sleek, and any general consensus of confused tourists is quickly attended to by the staff, who are more than willing to assist in navigating the city. The nearby U and S Bahn stations offer convenient travel in and out of the city, and even though the lines back onto the hotel, the noise is strangely minimal.

The only negative we could purposefully find is the lack of seating in the lobby, particularly on busier nights. Additional seating would also not go amiss and the wifi consistency was not ideal either. Other than this, a great hotel and ideal for anyone looking to stay nearby Hamburg without being plunged into the heart of the city.

All of the boxes were ticked OK, but IBIS is a mid range no frills hotel. You're not there for a luxurious getaway, But it is a comfortable and clean room for the night. The kitchen stays open for late travellers and the breakfast was good.

Personalet var venlig og hjælpsom, hotellet ligger ved et togstation som giver meget nemt transport muligheder, og hvis ens børn er glade for tog, så kan børnene står ved vinduet og tælle togene ind og ud af station dog der vil være en dele støje når man åbner vinduet da værelse ligger lige overfor perronen fra stationen (Wandsbecker Chaussee station). Det er super godt at hotellet har sit eget lukkede parkeringskælder (dog elbiler må ikke parkere der). Det mest der trækker ned i karakteren, at gulvtæppet i værelset var beskidt og ulækkert selvom gulvtæppet i resten af hotellet var rener og pænere.

Ist ein nettes Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und guter Anbindung. Fußläufig sind die Öffis gut erreichbar innerhalb von 5 Minuten. Um die Ecke gibt es auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir hätten gerne dort gefrühstückt, aber für 20€ pro Person war die Auswahl im Vergleich zu nahen anderen Buffets und Frühstücksrestaurants sehr klein. Das noch als Optimierungsvorschlag. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr zuvorkommend

Room was pretty much on the railway tracks with freightrains running by. Would have been less of an annoyance if the aircon had worked, but I needed the window open. Other than that, it was a rather small room, decent bed and an uncomfortable chair (don't go on business and expect to sit by the desk for more than 20 minutes). Breakfast I rate primarily on the parts that they actually make, which was pretty much just eggs boiled for at least 10 minutes after they were done, and scrambled eggs that they should have stopped scrambling quite a bit sooner. Other then that, it was fine. Just fine. The reason for the mediocre rating is that at the price paid, I've had significantly better hotels. Only source for coffee, 3.50 euro in the reception, my room smelled heavily of perfume when I got there and aircon of course didn't work.

Der Teppich hat ein Design, das Dreckflecken imitiert, so das die echten Flecken nicht so auffallen. Die Kloinsel verbreitet einen leichten Hauch von Pipi im Schlafzimmer. Das Licht laesst sich in mehreren Stufen dimmen, nur hell wird es nicht. Die Farb- und Materialkombinationen im Zimmer sind Geschmacksache, treffen aber nicht meinen. Aber sehr gutes Frühstueck, nette Mitarbeiter und super Lage zum Flughafen.

Ich würde hier immer wieder buchen.Das Hotel hat meinen Ansprüchen in jeder Hinsicht entsprochen.Sehr freundliches Personal.Gut ausgebildet.Zimmer sauber.Ausstattung gut durchdacht.Ich hatte Frühstück gebucht.Auch dieses war völlig ausreichend und für jeden etwas dabei.Über die hohe Parkgebühr in der Tiefgarage- 14 € pro Tag, sollte ev.mal nachgedacht werden.
Insgesamt ist dieses Hotel durch seine zentrale Lage- Nähe Einkaufsmeile, S und U Bahn, Parkanlage- sehr empfehlungswert.

Schönes schlichtes Hotel. In einer Seitenstraße kann man in der Regel kostenfrei das Auto abstellen. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Hotel ist ruhig, Straßenverkehr hört man kaum. Personal sehr freundlich, Sauberkeit gut. Kommen gern wieder.

Liegt günstig an der S- und U-Bahn. Im Frühstücksraum klebte der Boden an einem von drei Tagen. Ansonsten ist das Hotel gut. Das Personal war von einem älteren Mann abgesehen sehr freundlich, die Zimmer sauber und bei geschlossenem Fenster ruhig. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte gut. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist befriedigend.

Das Zimmer war auf den ersten Blick sauber. Gardine hatte großen braunen Fleck, den ich dann selber mit Wasser ausgewaschen habe. Einfache Sache. Der Teppichboden hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Das lässt sich wohl nicht vermeiden, wenn jeder mit den Schuhen im Zimmer läuft. Hausschuhe hätte ich dann gern gehabt. Eine Teppichreinigung wäre eine gute Idee. Ansonsten ist das Hotel einfach ,aber in Ordnung. Gute Nähe zu öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln.

Eins vorweg die lobby des hotels ist sehr schön geschmackvoll gestalltet ,und wenn man sich dann due zimmer ansieht denkt man sich man ist irgwnswo anderes.
Der boden voll fleckig ,das bad eher eine Kabine wie dixie klo,nur 1 flockiges kissen,von sauberkeit kann man hier nicht sprechen.und dann möchte ich noch anmerken das die umgebung nichts für damen ist wenn man alleine reist von der s-bahn haltestelle bis zum hotel ist es einfach nur erschreckend eckelhaft und ich finde auch gefährlich in der heutigen zeit.wir waren 2 frauen und sind nicht 1 nacht geblieben weil wir uns dort nicht sicher gefühlt haben,wir checkten aus und haben dann in altona ein exellentes hotel gefunden,das würde ich immer wider so machen ,muss halt jeder für sich entscheiden ..

80 € die Nacht darf man jetzt nicht meckern, aber hier und da gehören mal einige Schönheitsreparaturen gemacht. Das Bett war okay aber die Matratze ist eher ein Topper. Zudem sind die Vorhänge viel zu kurz um das Zimmer vernünftig abzudunkeln.

Für einen Kurztripp top. Die Lage direkt an der HVV Haltestelle ist top. Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sauber und ausreichend platz und Frühstück etwas teuer aber vielfältig.
Lediglich der Kaffee aus dem Automaten morgens war nicht gut, aber das ist geschmackssache.

As gold member of hotels.com, I have been many different hotels all over the world. This hotel definitely the one of worst hotel I have been. The room was not so clean and fish smell on towels. Staffs were neither kind nor helpful. Irons were not enough, I wore wrinkled cloths because there were not enough irons to use. But staffs did not so much care about it. I would never recommend this hotels. Ever!!
