Convenient and good value with one strange policy.

Very convenient for U-bahn service into Hamburg city centre and attractions. Lidl supermarket just round the corner for food and drink supplies. Hotel is fine, good value for the price. Friendly andvhelpful staff. One strange thing is they provide a kettle in the room, but only provide coffee, tea and creamer for the first night. In every other hotel we have stayed in, the cleaning staff top up the supplies each day. Reception confirmed the policy for this hotel is first night only. Bizarre!

The best part of my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. The hotel itself is older and very typical for a 3-star hotel. The bed was comfortable but it was not a true double bed. Rather, it was two twin beds pushed together. The pillows were quite flat. The shower had great water pressure but it was tiny. I’m not sure how a tall or large person could be comfortable here.

It is close to the U2 line but not convenient for using public transport to or from the airport. The hotel restaurant is closed, but they have a limited but fresh breakfast buffet. There is one grocery store and a few restaurants nearby. There is no microwave or refrigerator, and no room safe.

Be aware there is no air conditioning so I would not recommend it for warmer months. The radiator heat worked well.

The location is convenient. The U lines ( Metro), and Supermarket ( Lydl) are just a few steps from the Hotel. There is a free outdoor parking lot for travellers with cars. The staff are nice and professional. Smiles are always on their faces. The beds are exactly 3 stars hotel, comfortable and clean. My complaint is only about the wifi internet, which is not stable and slow, other than that I am happy with the hotel.

Good location. U-Bahn is very close. Oped for myself advantages of municipal transport comparing to using a car. $00 meters away we found a small and nice restaurant of German kitchen. Disadvantage: no condition in the room. In extremely hot weather it is quite a problem.

The property is nothing special and the rooms are small but it is super clean and in fairly nice condition. Which worth writing about is the staff. All the staff was super friendly and helped me from everything with printing and Transmitting a German lease to arranging a Covid PCR test so I could fly home. Staff is excellent, super carpet in, and very helpful. I would highly recommend based upon the staff.

It was Christmas - so a little more enthusiasm and energy would have been nice. There were biscuits on the reception desk for a few days on the run up to Christmas, but over Christmas we barely got a greeting from the staff as we walked in and out.
We were told on arrival that teas and coffee wouldn't be replenished during our stay unless we specifically asked. Supplies of such at reception were very limited - a pretty poor show as it was Christmas and shops and cafes were closed.
I would stay here again, but only because of the convenience of it's location, and not because of an exceptional experience!

I actually loved everything about this place. It wasess than five minutes from the station, and even if it is not at the city center, you can get there in less than than 15 minutes in train.

The rooms where not modern decorated but i was not out of date either. Everything was perfectly cleaned, and we stayed for 2 nights and they cleaned again after the first one. I dropped some makeup in one of the sheets and was pleasantly surprised that it was changed even if we didn't requested. Service was 1A everytime, and price was unbeatable.

Would totally recommend if you are just looking for a place with a good bed and clean, comfortable bathroom

Was expecting more of the brand, but it's OK.

The staff was super friendly, no problem with the parking. But the hotel itself is a bit old, they still have regular room keys with te metal keychain, I was a bit shocked as well. No AC, with could make it unbearable. It's was not bad, I just expect more of the brand.

The hotel was non smoking throughout, however there was a stench of cigarette smoke all through the building. The decor was dated and everything seemed unclean and ill maintained. The staff were friendly enough, but that was the only positive part of my trip.

Breakfast was the worst part of the hotel. None of the food laid out looked particularly apertising so I went for a “safe” choice of cereal. When I sat down to eat it I discovered that milk was luke warm. To top it all off, they serve the most horrifyingly terrible coffee I have ever encountered.

This will not be a hotel I use again in the future!!!!

Short Trip to the Centre

This hotel was a few stops from the centre of Hamburg on the UBahn so was ideally placed for us. We arrived early but the Receptionist had no problem offering to keep our luggage safe whilst we went out exploring. The room was an adequate size - after all we only needed it to sleep in. There was a kettle to make tea and coffee (my only small complaint was that the cleaner never replaced the coffee whitener but reception were always available to get additional supplies). The shower in the modern well lit bathroom was great with nice shower gel/ shampoo. The weather was really hot whilst we were there and the rooms didn't have air conditioning so a fan would have been a welcome addition to the room. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked modern and clean and I overheard some customers a praising it. We did use the bar one evening and found the staff to be really friendly and the prices comparable.
I prefer to be a few stops away from the centre so would have no problem staying here again if in Hamburg and would definitely recommend it

A smart, modern and very clean hotel that lies to the east of the city.
We found the staff to be friendly, welcoming and helpful.
Our room was comfortable and contained the usual refinements that you would expect from a Best Western. the en-suite bathroom was excellent and the beds gave us a good nights sleep.
The only downside for us was the location.. If you are travelling from the airport by taxi or shuttle bus then there is no problem. If not then you have to get the train to Hasslebrook then take on a twenty minute walk for the rest of the way. That said once you are book in to the hotel reaching the centre of the old city is easy as there is an underground station almost opposite. The trains there are regular and can get you to within a few hundred metres of the Rathaus. And from there you can walk to the dock side area , which is well worth seeing.
If we ever return to Hamburg we would be happy to stay at this hotel again as the price represented good value for money

Cheap option in an expensive city

I chose this hotel as it was a known name at a fairly reasonable price, at a time when a forthcoming G20 conference had probably put a premium on hotel prices. The location is good for local transport links into the centre of the city (about 10 minutes by U-Bahn). The reception was quick and efficient, and although the facilities are slightly tired feeling, the room was perfectly comfortable (the best bed for sleeping I had in a three-hotel trip). It proved a perfectly acceptable base for travel in Hamburg and Schleswig Holstein.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. However - no air conditioning and stiflingly hot rooms made for 3 uncomfortable nights sleep. Had to open the windows all night to make it even slightly bearable and were kept awake 1 night by very loud music from the adjacent gym and woken early by gardeners, other workers or dustbin trucks!! Not value for money in my opinion as not much near by in walking distance and breakfast an additional 13euros - would usually pay this price for centralish London with breakfast included.

This hotel was by far one of the worst hotels I have ever been to. There was mold on the walls and stains on the carpets. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a non smoking room. We were told to open the windows to let fresh air in but there were people smoking right outside the room. Also there were bugs on the wall and when we pulled the sheets back there were bugs under the sheets. We stayed in the room about 15 minutes before checking back out and going to another hotel. The location is also not that great. The staff was amazing however. From the checking in and checking out they were polite and helpful that was the hotels only positive

Top Floor is Smoking, Improvements Needed

The first night we arrived, we were placed in a room on the top (5th floor). There was an old, outdated oscillating fan to beat the heat. That wasn't enough so we chose to open the window. We didn't know this was still a smoking floor and our room was flooded with cigarette fumes all night and morning. I went down to the reception and explained we had a bad night's sleep because the heat and just can't do it again. I explained there are smokers on the floor and she suggested to go to the 1st floor. Once we looked at it, we noticed new bathrooms, furniture and decor. It was cooler and did not smell of cigarettes. What a change! the second room wasn't much to rave about but better than the first.
Also, breakfast at a Best Western was not included so we went without breakfast both days.
As for location, if you have a car, then getting downtown is worth the drive. It was a direct U-bahn ride to the hotel. However, it was far enough that if you come back to the hotel, you won't want to go back into town.
The receptionist was kind and helped us with our train day pass.

This was a great international hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and informational. The only reason it didn't score perfect was because it was a little far from everything other than the train stop. We made the mistake and walked to the gardens and it was a lot further than we thought.

2 night stop for business. Was pretty decent- easy to find, and had secure parking onsite. The Wifi connection wasn't great in the rooms, but seemed to work ok in the lobby.
Conveniently close to U-Bahn and there's a great restaurant/bar just up the street (Schweinske)
Staff at the reception were also really helpful when i needed something printed.

That's a terrible hotel and staffs. We booked for four days but we only slept for two nights. They marked down us for using breakfast one time witch we never used. Who wanted to pay for fifteen euro for breakfast that only offered bagels? Are you crazy?

German Style with excellent Service

The Hamburg International Hotel is a german styled facility that focuses not necessarily on the facility itself, but on Customer service. The staff was very accomadating, freindly and ensured that they had answers to any questions brought to them. I would highly recommend saying at this hotel for freinds in future instances. The breakfast meal was very pleassing albiet typically german, but nonetheless had a great variety of food for breakfast taste. The facility was clean and only 5 kilometers from the main train station and other tourist sites. Highly recommend this hotel for future stays in Hamburg.

Good price, nice place to stay for the night

We stayed one night here on our way through the city. I was surprised that our room was in a part of the building that had outside entrances (more 'motel' style). I would have preferred an inside room, but it was fine. The room was a little on the small side, but we felt we got a good deal given the price that we paid. The only thing that bothered me was that we seemed to have received a smoking room (or at least the room contained a mild smoke smell). Since I had booked the room from my Expedia account, which lists my preference as nonsmoking, I assumed I would get a nonsmoking room. We were exhausted upon arrival and didn't bother to go down and ask if a non smoking room (or different room) was available, so it was our choice not to look into it farther. I found the staff to be very helpful. The clerk even got out the English/Germany dictionary and looked up a word that she was unsure of so that there would be no confusion.

Honest review, Family with teenagers.

This hotel is some distance from the main tourist attractions of Hamburg. Taxi's too the centre cost in the region of E18.
However, just to the right of the hotel there's a Hamburg rail system station. For a group of up to 5 persons travelling after 09:30 CET, the cost is just E9.80 for a day ticket.

The rooms are spacious and well lit. Generally very clean, though we did discover an empty wine bottle in the corner of the room. The rooms facing the main road are subject to considerable traffic noise. The en-suite facilities are modern and clean. However the shower thermostatic controls has two settings, Freezing and scalding, with a tiny 'acceptable' zone between the two. Control is via a lever positioned at elbow height. This means that it is possible to accidentally move the temperature setting whilst showing.
This is an excellent wake-up tonic.

The hotel has off-street parking, either in the hotel garage (E5/night) or on the outside perimeter of the hotel grounds for free.

Hotel reception is clean and spacious. The staff are pleasent and eager to please.
Breakfast buffet costs E11, and is well worth the price.

It's a bit of a throwback to the 1980s or even 1970s, however the hotel is still kept very clean and the bathrooms had at least been updated to more modern times!

It's located in a residential area so doesn't really feel like you are on holiday (which I was).

For the price I paid it was ideal. Free internet and free car parking too, which is an excellent bonus.

Location is good, 2 underground stations are short walks away, and it only takes 5 minutes or so for the underground to get into the city centre.

The location is away from town, but right by a U-bann stop. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We arrived at 8:00 am, and they were able to get us into our room so we could take a short nap before hitting Hamburg. The hotel is not fancy, but it was perfect for what we needed -- a comfortable place to stay.

Extra charge for non-smoking room

This is a very nice hotel, simple, not a lot of amenities, but clean and comfortable. We booked a non-smoking room and were giving a smoking room. We asked to switch and were forced to pay extra because it was an \"upgrade\" to a non-smoking room. We argued vehemently and eventually got the originally quoted price and a non-smoking room, but unfortunately the young man who heard our complaint was a bit rude. Sorry, no matter what the customer is always right, and when we are offered other than we reserved we are to be treated with great professionalism and OVER-THE-TOP politeness. NO RUDE DESK CLERKS ALLOWED, NOT EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER!!!! The economy is too weak. We can ALWAYS go elsewhere.

Decent place, but has seen better days

Very pleasant staff and rooms were clean. Furniture and fittings very tired - long overdue a refit.

Rooms are not equipped with tea/coffee making facilities - they have to be requested from reception and although this is supposed to be a 24hr service, they had run out of kettles by the time we requested one at about 8pm; get your request in early.

We asked for a non-smoking room but were given a smoking room anyway, so confirm at reception beforehand.

Good location, very close to a U-Bahn station, you can be in town in 15-20mins.

Nice looking bar downstairs.

Easily accessible from Hamburg main station. Ok, not in city center, hence quiet, gas station near by to get supplies, very convenient, clean. The staff went extra mile for me and always had a smile.

No minibar in room but for the price offered, no complaints. Very large shower area, beats the 4 star hotels on space. Very practical. Highly recommended for short comfortable stays.

A very nice greeting from the desk clerk both in the evening and in the morning set a pleasant atmosphere for our stay here. However the limited parking and the misleading hotel services book were disappointing. The Hotel Services Book said room service was available and it wasn't, it also said that they would bring you a tray of coffee or tea anytime of day and they said they didn't offer that service anymore! This was very disappointing as there was no coffee in the room at all.

I went to the hotel and the taxi pulled up to the front of a lovely place, and when I checked in I found that my room, along with many others, were in the annex out back! It was quiet, the view of the back of the hotel was wonderful! The laundry bag in my room had already been used, there was no list for laundry services to be found. The wireless internet as promised was free after you registered and gave them your email address which is now filling up with spam, and it was frequestly so slow I went to sleep watching the hourglass spin. Carpets were dirty in the room, and next door to \"the annex\" was a lady's fitness center that blared loud music every night from 7 to 9 so you have to keep your window closed. Of course there is the breakfast, or the dinner buffet neither of which was worth the trouble or the cost. And lets not forget the U-bahn ride just to get into the city where everything is that you will want to see. Take my advice and choose another hotel in the city.

The Motel 6-style blueprint meant being woken up at 2 in the morning by new patrons shouting and loudly wheeling their luggage to their rooms. I requested two beds, but really got one bed platform with two mattresses immediately next to each other. Awkward for sharing a room with your father, I ended up sleeping on a cot like thing at the foot of the bed. The shower had mold. The maid didn't clean our room for 2 days even though I requested this at the front desk. No amenities or even comfortable lounge area. The restaurant was good and it was next to a supermarket and a subway stop. Those are the only positives. Don't come here.

Perfect spot for stay in Hamburg

The Hotel is ideally located beside Rauhes Haus on U2 of the U-Bahn(about 4 stops to city). Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff were friendly. Free internet in the lobby was a nice touch also. The price was also very reasonable.Def recommend anyone to stay here

We arrived in a rather large vehicle and the hotel reception sorted out a parking space for us. Didn't get chance to practice my limited German language because everyone we spoke to could speak good English. They were also very helpful with directions to the Airport and a local Pub. The room was good and it had a fridge which we made use of.

Not worth it at all! Very old and depressing hotel. More like a 2-star.

I was not satisfied with this hotel at all. We booked a non-smoking room and got a smoking room with cigarette burns on the table and carpet. We were told that everything else was booked. On top of that, the room was old and smelly. It was more like a 2 star hotel or more like a motel. Very depressing decor, very small uncomfortable beds and low lighting. The next morning we asked for another room and we told that everything was booked. Only upon insisting did we get another room but once again, a smoking room! At least this room was bigger and had more light. We had to air out the room everyday to get the smoke smell out. The room was still pretty old and depressing. There are a couple of restaurants around and a pretty inexpensive supermarket a block away. Otherwise, you have to hop on the train for 4-5 stop to get to the center. Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay here and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Best Western Hammer Landstrasse Hamburg

A standard and basic hotel; friendly staff but otherwise nothing special. The Hotel is close to the U-Bahn, but there is not much else around. Not a bad place if you simply need a basic hotel room in Hamburg.

Nice but hot in the summer

We spent a night here for the second time on our way up North. The hotel is conveniently located for thransit through Hamburg and has good parking. There are a couple of ethnic restraurants as well as discount grocery stores near by.
The room in the main building was comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Beds were good. The only problem was that the weather during the day had been hot and the hotel itself had gotten extremely hot. The center of the building produced heat as if the central heating would have been full on. The bathroom was like a sauna. The reception said all rooms are alike so a room change wouldn't bring anything. Opening the window and the room door fully didn't bring any relief although outside the temperature was already cool. Needless to say, we had a sleepless night.

Sometimes it is very hot in Hamburg as well. We had the (bad) luck to be there on such a day. Fine during the day, but we couldn’t sleep at night, because the room was looking to the west and there was no air conditioning, even no ventilator.

3 yıldızlı bir otel - bir gecelik seyahat için yeterlidir. Temiz oda, çalışanlar yardımsever, kahvaltı çok iyi - Wafel bile vardı .
Yer olarak kullanışlı : otopark var, her iki yanda büyük süpermarket var, otobüs durağı kapının önünde , metro istasyon 2 dakika yürüme mesafe

Das Hotel ist ideal für einen Städtetrip. Dank der U-Bahn ist man schnell in jedem Winkel Hamburgs. Die Zimmer waren sauber. Das Frühstück kostete 19 € pro Person, dazu kann ich aber nichts sagen, da wir das Angebot genutzt haben. Internet und Parken funktionierten einwandfrei.

Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich. Das Hotel ist gut, sauber und die Zimmer sind völlig ausreichend und es war auch zu unserem Zeitpunkt sehr ruhih. Frühstück könnrn wir nicht bewerten, da keines gebommen aber von anderen Gästen hörte man. Dass es wirklich gut ist.

Das Hotel ist wirklich zu empfehlen!
Die Unterkunft befindet sich in guter Lage, nur wenige Meter entfernt befindet sich eine U-Bahn Station, somit ist man sehr schnell im Zentrum.
Das Frühstück hat uns sehr gut gefallen, sehr lecker und hochwertige Qualität der Speisen, Personal ist auch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

hende som sidder på receptionen var meget sur og uhøfligt da vi skulle at check ud kl 11:30 og jeg spurgte hende om hun kan skriver hendes navn til mig men hun gad ikke fordi hun vidst godt jeg vil klager over hende
en gammel sur kvinde må ikke står på Receptionen og råber over folk og taler på en dårlig måde jeg synes hun skal på kursus og lærer hvordan hun skal taler med folk

Här kommer vi att bo igen!

Personalen var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående. Rummet var rent och stort, duschen passade även en större person. Frukosten var mycket god, den hade allt man kunde önska och mer. Mysig bar med bra priser!
Nära till U-bahn som tog oss runt i hela Hamburg. I området fanns flertalet restauranger samt matbutik.
