Absolutely loved staying here. Arriving at the hotel was easy and checking in was smooth. San Domenico House is right in the center of Chelsea and makes it easy to get around London since there's a bus stop a short distance away. Sloane Square Station is also nearby in case you need to take the tube anywhere. Overall, the area is quiet and safe, and has a lot of shops and restaurants nearby but not close enough that there's noticeable noise. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to staying here again on our next trip back!

What a lovely little boutique hotel. If you can, a balcony room with roll top bath is a must. Room was immaculate with some nice touches and lovely toiletries. Front of house couldn’t have been any more helpful. Slight downside was the out of service lift which got our steps up to the rooftop terrace but worth it for the view. Fab location, 3 mins walk from Sloane Square and 25 mins from Battersea Power Station. Will definitely return.

We were quite disappointed with our stay at this hotel. The property feels very dated and in need of renovation. Our room was entirely red—walls, curtains, furniture—all in red velvet, which created an overwhelming and uncomfortable atmosphere. It didn’t feel relaxing or pleasant.
The bathroom was also below expectations. There was no separate shower—only a shower inside a small bathtub, which made it inconvenient. The bathroom itself was quite cramped, and the towels were very worn out and far from the quality you’d expect at a five-star hotel.
We also found the service lacking. The staff were not particularly welcoming or attentive, which only added to our overall dissatisfaction.
The hotel feels more like an old townhouse than a luxury hotel. Noise insulation is very poor—you can hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms and even footsteps from the rooms above.
Overall, this stay did not meet our expectations, and we would not recommend it to others seeking a comfortable and high-end experiences

We recently stayed at the San Domenico Hotel in Chelsea, London. Overall, our experience was a mix of delightful and disappointing aspects.
On the positive side, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The hotel is located in a fantastic, walkable area with plenty of shops, restaurants, and things to do. We loved exploring the neighborhood and enjoying the local cuisine.
However, there were some significant drawbacks. The furniture in the rooms was extremely old, to the point where it felt like staying in a thrift store. While we understand the charm of historic decor, the visible damage and wear detracted from the boutique hotel feel. The room layout was also a bit odd, and the amenities were subpar.
Another inconvenience was the bathroom design. The bathtub was narrow and uncomfortable to stand in, especially under the ceiling shower head. It made the showering experience uncomfortable. Additionally, the shower controls were confusing with no clear labels for on/off or hot/cold, and we needed assistance from the staff to figure it out.
Lastly, the hallways and elevators were very narrow, almost claustrophobic, which added to the feeling of being in a confined space.
Despite these issues, we appreciated the warm hospitality and the lovely location. With some updates to the rooms and clearer instructions for amenities, it could offer a truly exceptional stay.

Not only were all the staff incredibly friendly and helpful but they clearly have 'make our guests feel welcome and valued' at the front of their mind. The room - a split floor wirh canopy bed - was great. The breakfast was plentiful, good quality and delicious. I only wish I'd had more time to lounge around the sitting room with a drink and enjoy the hospitality. Next time! As I am already planning my return...great hotel, great staff, great location and a really warm atmosphere. Ideal.

This is a London gem of a hotel. My wife and I felt like royalty immediately upon arrival. The desk agent had our bags delivered to our room and personally escorted us to our accommodations. The room was magnificent, beautifully appointed with a balcony and nice views of Chelsea. The included continental breakfast was very nice in a wonderfully decorated dining space. This hotel is very conveniently located close to Sloane Square, King’s Road, South Kensington, shopping and dining options. The service was excellent and professional.

The friendly, informed staff added a personal touch and the interiors were lovely, especially decked out for Christmas. Unique hotel situated near Sloane Square. Beautiful reception area and nice welcome. I was o the fourth floor and didnt hear anything which was perfect for me. Room was spacious and well decorated but a little too warm - I couldn't work the a/c but to a big problem. Very complicated shower but again nothing major. I very much enjoyed my stay but would love tea dn coffee making facilities in the room rather than next to reception. Overall really enjoyable and would definitely stay again.

A romantic stay; perfect for an overnight without the children! The hotel is decorated with a Victorian theme (heavy upholstery, dripping brocade fringe, antique books) that would have the potential to feel cluttered, but this has clearly been done right and only feels cosy and luxurious. Our double bed room was comfortable with enough room for the canopy bed, end tables (with the mini fridge built in), an antique desk, a small entry closet with robes, and a very modern en suite (rainfall shower head, heated towel rack, Penhaligon’s toiletries). The lounge has 24/7 coffee and tea available, and we thoroughly enjoyed sipping our morning coffee on the rooftop terrace. The neighbourhood is quiet and friendly, and Harrods is a 15 minute walk. The staff is genuinely kind, so much so that it feels like staying with your favourite aunt. I’m so happy to have found a place that can be our reliable home from home on date nights.

The San Domenico House is a gorgeous and luxurious haven nestled in the heart of Chelsea. The staff was outatanding! They were helpful, curteous and i truly felt more like a welcomed guest in a private home. The location is close to amazing shops and restauants and transportation was a breeze. The room was lavish and well appointed but it is quite formal so i had a little trouble finding an outlet near enough to a mirror to do my hair but that was a tiny frustration in a wonderful visit. I also got the breakfast and it was delightful. The dining room is quaint and the meal was delicious! I would definitely return to this charming hotel next time I'm in London.

Five-night stay with my husband for my 60th birthday. Loved the location, ambience, style, decor.. Our son also stayed 2 nights, en-route from Rome to Dublin and said the service was impeccable. Such a beautiful and quirky building layout. The room we had was a Gallery Suite. It was spacious and beautifully decorated, very romantic. (Room 204, red room) I loved the two level aspect. Large window with a pleasant view. Nice bowl of fruit in the room.
Bathroom was immaculate, with a bath and shower.
There is an elevator, and you can ask for tea/coffee making facilities in the room if you want them. Our stay was for a wedding anniversary and 60th birthday.
Staff are friendly polite and very helpful. The lovely lady on reception helped me with my booking and never seemed fed up of my multiple phone calls asking different questions. She arranged a hand written card with my personalized message to be put in the room along with a plate of lovely chocolates as it was a special occasion treat/stay which I was booking for my parents, I have asked them for their feedback to fill in on here. Hotel had a good range of champagne or some wine that you can buy and have put in the room as well.
I didn't get chance to give my parents their anniversary card so I posted it to the hotel (with small note on front that namef person were guests and date they arriving) and it was put in the room with the other items ready for their arrival.

Mentioned I was leaving early in the morning for the English countryside for a day trip and the reminded me of the complimentary tea and coffee in their sitting room as well as offering to arrange my wake up call and taxi service to my meeting point.

This is more like staying in someone’s beautiful townhouse than a traditional hotel. However we personally prefer this to large hotels. The service here and ambience is impeccable. My only complaint was finding the bed a bit too firm but since that is personal preference it’s hard to fault them! We will come back.
