Five stars ⭐️ all the way.

Everything at Cheval Harrington was first-rate from the moment I checked in. The apartment, which looked brand new, was really spacious and comfortable. Reception was warm, courteous and helpful. Housekeeping services excellent as well. Situated in a neighborhood within easy walking distance to South Kensington underground station.

Large, bright, neat, modern apartment in lively but not noisy street near South Kensington tube. Walk to museums, Harrods, King's Road. Pleasant local shops and restaurants.
Wonderfully warm and helpful staff added a crib and brought tissues and toys for my grandchildren, who had colds. Flexible assistance with car to airport.

I had a wonderful 2 week stay at Cheval Harrington in South Kensington. It is 1 block from the underground station and there are multiple restaurants nearby. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The only negative was a noisy pub directly beneath my 1st floor apartment on Friday and Saturday. Otherwise it was quiet and perfect!

My reservation was upgraded from a studio to a one-bedroom. Given that one of us was using the sofa bed, this was a big help. (The only downside to the upgrade was that there was nothing to see out the windows but walls.) The staff were friendly and there were no unexpected charges. The location is amazing. There is a cab stand outside the front door and the entrance is maybe 100 yards from the South Kensington underground stop.

Nice place to stay - centrally located

We arrived and were greeted warmly and he even offered to help with our luggage. As there is actually an elevator (rare for London), we were able to manage. The room was cozy, but plenty big for the 2 of us. Bonus the bathroom floor is heated! Shower was small, but functioned and had great water pressure. All but one time through the lobby, we were greeted with smiling face of an employee at the desk. Very friendly and accommodating. Steps away from the hotel are tons of restaurants, bakeries, bus stops and the South Kensington tube station. We would totally stay there again!

The main front desk, Dhaval was extremely helpful with all requests we had. We felt he went out of his way on numerous occasions. The hotel is very clean, very modern and nicely furnished. The location is excellent, 1/2 block from the Tube and a block or so to the Natural History & V&A Museum. Would highly recommend - great amenties.

This was a surprise for my partner who had never been to London. The staff at The Cheval could not have made it any more special! Housekeeping were fantastic with their special touches in the room, the guys on front desk were so friendly and helpful and the apartment was stunning. Very comfy bed, extra soft towels and the kitchenette had everything you could need!

Wasn’t happy at all! Service perks listed and explained are only for direct bookings otherwise, nothing provided and poor behavior of staff if booking done through Expedia. Can clearly hear people in adjacent rooms talking, coughing, their TV, using the facilities, simply disgusted. Listed as washer/dryer in room, not true and studio is almost smaller than average single hotel room. Simply awful!

The hotel rooms and cosierge service is excellent, especially Roy. They got reservations for us etc.. even tickets to football (soccer).
The hotel could improve the curve appeal. The lobby is in bad taste, could be more simple, less busy, but is well located, rooms are new and sparking clean cotton linen, plenty restaurants, on Picadilly line, taxi station at door etc...if you have to many luggage, take taxi to Earl Court that is a handicap station (taxi 6 pounds)...

Highly recommend the Cheval Harrington. While our room was small (they have larger rooms and suites), the kitchenette was useful and there was a balcony overlooking an inner court. Our room was quiet, the daily cleaning was exceptional, the staff was helpful and the location was superb. The South Kensington tube station was 1/2 block away, offering direct access to Heathrow, there were lots of restaurants nearby and the V&A museum was 2-3 blocks away. I would definitely stay at the Cheval Harrington again.

Excellent accommodation, friendly and helpful serving centre, perfect location for our visits to the Museums and Royal Albert Hall. One minor issue when we lost power to the sockets in the apartment, but this was resolved promptly. Just one thing to alert future hotel guests - when we entered our apartment it was dark inside and the light switches weren't easy to find, as a result of which my husband fell down a step into the living room that he hadn't seen. He wasn't hurt, but could have been. So we would recommend the hotel leaving one light on in the apartment for new guests arriving. Our apartment was on the first floor at the front and we had no issues at all with noise either from tube or street. I'm a light sleeper but slept like a log

The rooms were nice, but 2 of the 3 days I was there the water and electricity were out for extended periods of time so the elevators were out and and I had to walk up 4 flights of stairs. I couldn't take a shower before a business meeting which was extremely inconvenient. Lastly, one of the nights water dripped into my room from the apt above for 2 hours because they left their faucet running. Management deemed none of these issues their fault and wouldn't refund me a penny. Was a horrible stay.

Pleasant, very helpful staff took charge of bags even though room wasn't ready, so we couldn't check in early. Then phoned us when the room was available. Greetings from every staff person we saw. When washing machine locked up, repairman figured out problem. Then arranged for finishing our laundry, delivered back folded while we were at dinner. In short, staff was tremendous. Rooms quite nice, very modern design, well executed. Shower stall a bit tight, and those lovely little sinks make it difficult to keep water off floor. But that's a minor quibble after a great experience.

Just one slight inconvenience: there is no guest washroom at reception, thus I was directed to use a very small washroom in the staff area down a narrow flight of stairs.

I stayed in one of their small studios for five nights in October. The room was quiet and, although in the back where natural light is lacking, had ample lighting. WiFi worked well, but needs to be reconnected each time you return to the room. The A/C is responsive, but is aimed directly at the bed.

Half Decent but overpriced smokey room.

Advertised as a no smoking hotel yet we awoke each morning smelling like cigarette smoke. Sheets and towels (which were changed each day) smelled of smoke. We complained and asked to be moved but no adequate response. You could clearly smell cigarette smell when waiting for the elevator, no matter the time of day.

Good location as it is one-half block to tube station. Furniture is adequate but not luxurious. Kitchen relatively well equipped. Cleanliness adequate. One bedroom on Harrington street side is a bit noisy as windows, while double glazed, are inadequate. Staffing response relatively good but disappointing on follow up.

Would not stay here again.

Went to Alexander McQueen Exhibition at 1.15 in morning at the V&A excellent location quiet ,safe and choice of reasonable restaurants close by restaurants mainly shut at 11 but Tapas Bar open until 12 . Apartment roomy,immaculate, new and smart would go again. Walked to Oxford street 1hour through Hyde Park taxi back £15.

A very pleasant stay in great central location.

Great location, very helpful staff. Super comfortable bed! My room appeared to have been recently refurbished, so it was very fresh. Kitchenette had everything I needed. My only tiny complaint is that they need another power point in the kitchen area. I would definitely stay there again. Great to have South Ken station and bus stops at the end of the street.

Location, Service & Size of Rooms Excellent

You couldn't ask for a more convenient location. Walk to museums, food or grocery. About any type of restaurant you could imagine within a couple blocks. South Kensington Underground (two minute walk) puts you within a few stops of most of the major sights. The staff were wonderful at the hotel.

We had no a/c in our first apartment (broken), but they put us in another apartment right away. The size of the apartment was excellent. The kitchen and baths were great. All modern appliances (although the fridge had broken/missing shelves) and clothes washer worked well. We had plenty of space for 3 adults and 2 preteen kids.

There was some noise with an Italian restaurant under us and a club down the street. With the conveniences that come with the location, that's what you should expect. It didn't bother us.

We thought overall this place was a good deal and would stay again.

The hotel had just been taken over by receivers and was a shambles. The receptionist was good but stressed.
The air con in our room was broken, one fan was provided but was totally inadequate in such heat.
The rooms were grubby and tired looking, walls marked, wires hanging from sockets and so on.
The best thing about this hotel was the location.

The overall stay was very good. the rooms were good, spacious, clean. The only problem faced was that apparently due to some logistic issues out of six days stay we stayed in three different types of rooms, i.e. 1st day in smaller room, the for 4 days in the room category booked by us and on the last day in an upgraded room. The staff was very co-operative and helped in shifting of luggage without any discomfort to us. The front office personnel were very co-operative. The cleaning staff was excellent. Overall experience was good. Highly recommended for stay.

Great location - shame about the balcony view

The position of the apartment hotel perfect for us, tube, taxis, restaurants, tesco express all close by. Studio apartment, clean, kitchen with adequate utensils for short stay. Good shower and bathroom. Room fairly small. The balcony a waste of time dreadful view of rubbish from another building A sheer curtain at the window is required as the room was over looked from others close by . Reception basic, no frills. Overall we found it an adequate clean place to stay for a week.

Great Location to central London

The hotel is in an amazing location only 50meters from the Sth Kensington tube station which is on the Picadilly, Distric and Circle lines. All these lines have the main tourist stops on them so it makes it easy to get there and get home quickly. There are some really good restaurants with in a 5-10 min walking distance. The room that we had was a double bed balcony apartment. The main room was massive we had a small living/eating area which was all open to the bedroom. There was alot of cupboard and drawer space which is great if you are there for a week or more like we were we were able to unpack. The kitchen it a great size with all cooking equipment that you need, it has a small fridge, microwave and a washing machine which was so handy. The bathroom was large shower a bit small but water pressure was great. Internet access in the room was perfect never a drop out. We requested a room that was large and had lots of natural light which we got however it did look into the building behind so be carefull!! Over all a good hotel quite modern but for the money and especially for London we couldnt complain.

Best Location

Steps from Waverly Station - the Waverly Hotel was a perfect choice for exploring the city. The room was tiny and a bit awkward to navigate. The bathroom was clean and looked recently redone. There was a Sainsbury Local just steps from the hotel which was great for a quick/cheap dinner. The only complaint was that you can't take the key to the room with you when leaving the premise - you have a piece of paper with your room number you show to the front desk to get your key when returning. Not that big of a deal - just annoying. Overall, really happy with our experience.

A nice concept, great location

I was pleased with my stay at the Harrington Ct Apt. The idea of having a small kitchen certainly broke the monotony of having to eat out every meal. The large studio was spacious and politely appointed. My only complaint was the room temperature which was unaffected by the a/c control. It was warm and stuffy the whole time and was only April. Because of the first floor balcony it was very noisy on the main road. I did have to have the windows open to cool the room, day and night. The staff were friendly. My small electrical problem upon arrival was efficiently resolved by the young man sent to my room. It was a blown fuse. All considered I would reluctantly not rebook here simply because of the noise.

However! could not have a better location. We would gladly stay there again. It is not a four star except for the space and location.

Awful - worst accommodation I have ever stayed in. Complained about extremely noisy neighbours, and had no help from staff. Had to check out early in the end, and am still waiting for a refund!!! Room smells of stale tobaco - much better accommodation available nearby for a better price.

The hotel is fine, but the service needs more.

For the first two days, we had no television and was promised that it would be resolved. Each day/night, the receptionist would pass the message on to have it fixed, but there was always something lost in translation from night to night. On the third day, we walked into the apartment with the tv blaring. Unfortunately, during the changing of the sheets they managed to remove several items. The most important of which was my son's stuffed animal. Even though it was never taken off site for laundry that day, it was not found. When I asked to speak with a manager each morning, the response was that the manager would not be in until after noon and when I did return early, the manager had left early. I was never able to express my dissatisfaction.

Very convenient to the Tube

Other than an issue with hot water in the shower the first night, our stay we very nice. quick easy access to the Tube. That access was part of the reason we selected Harrington based on easy access to Heathrow. Problem was the Tube does not run early enough to catch our early international flights. The Harrington attendant was efficient in arrange cab rides to the airport and saved the day.

the hotel lovation was good and the reception was very helpful. Specifically Liliane. the room itself is very comfortable however it surely needs renovation which the current management seems to overlook. we had a curtain fallen, and so many of the light bulbs burned and not changed. Also we had no tv for a whole afternoon and until next noon, since there is noone at the hotel except for the receptionist!! not one other staff member available!the price is quite high when you go and ask at surrounding hotels. the General Manager himseld, is a non cooperative and ununderstanding man, when you need to change rooms, despite havin them available, I had to do it online because he would not help!

Budget Friendly Ideal Location Apartment

Amazing location! Steps away from the South Ken tube. Neighbors with tons of shops, cafes, & a no commission currency exchange. There’s 24/7 front desk & daily housekeeping. Our apt had a large balcony, but it looked into brick buildings (kind of a West Side Story feel). The modernized apt was relatively spacious considering it's in the city. The bed was comfortable & the shower’s water pressure was great! We loved having the kitchenette. I didn’t notice noise from the Harrington Club, which I had read in other posts, so maybe that was resolved since then. My only drawbacks were that there wasn't a good vanity area to do makeup where the light shines on your face, the bathrooms use a different electrical outlet than the rest of the apt (which is common in older London homes (the front desk loaned me a converter); our heated towel rack was broken but this was an unexpected luxury to begin with; the hallways and carpets need updating; and it would be helpful for them to include a \"welcome\" sheet in the rooms like hotels do that educates guests how to dial out on the phone, turn on/off the heated bathroom floors, things in the area to see/do, etc. The front desk was very helpful in addressing our questions, however. I recommend Harrington Apartments to anyone wanting to stay in the area okay with a non-hotel option (i.e. no concierge, hotel fitness center, etc). It's low-frills, a great price, an amazing location, managed by people who care that you're happy with your stay.

great location, gettng a bit shabby

Window opened onto filthy backyard of neighbouring building. Balcony linked two apartments so couldn't leave window open at night. No bedside lights. Our second visit to these generally well run and very well located apartments found them a bit shabbier than last time - but certainly clean and comfortable

An all round excellent accommodation.

I stayed here with a friend for one night. Young lady at front desk was polite and helpful. Upgraded us to a larger apartment. View was great, room was incredible. Very spacious and clean. Couldn't of been happier. Then we left to go to Royal Albert Hall for the evening. It took 15 minutes and was very easy to find. Great location apartments close to alot of London's sights and tube. Car park 3 minute walk away was very helpful as London can be a pain to park. I will definately be coming back here again.

Good location

Pros: Good location, just a few steps from South Kensington underground stop; kitchenette; good maid service; relatively spacious room. Cons: Room was not well-maintained: hole in bathroom ceiling; towel warmer and safe didn't work; street can be noisy. The hotel was OK, but we'll probably go somewhere else next time we go to London.

Pretty good but staff need local knowledge

Overall pretty good rooms but, even though the staff were very friendly, they had ZERO local knowledge.
The rooms were fairly recently renovated but the laminate floors were already starting to move, so I'm not sure how long before things start to look pretty shabby.
Location is excellent.

Harrington Court Apartments

Only a few doors from the South Kensington tube stop, V&A and all the museums, surrounded by excellent restaurants of every ethnicity, and a great apartment. Wonderful place to stay!

Conveniently Located and Good Value

Good things include the location near the underground, great neighborhood, kitchenette, laundry, and free wifi.
Not so good things include the fact that the kitchenette was very small and not particularly well stocked with dishes, etc., not every room has a washer or dryer (but they will let you use another unoccupied room's washer if you ask), and the wifi only worked for 2 of our 5 day visit. This was worth the money and I would stay again, but I would also take into account some of these limitations.

Harrington Court Apartments South Kensington

Great location, but very small beds! Was also disappointed with size and facilities of the 'large studio apartment' - no washing machine etc and small, so if you want a bit of space you need to go to the 1 bedroom apartment. Balcony was disgustingly dirty, which was a shame - quick clean would have made all the difference.

Location is all it gets

If convenience of the location is all you ask for. Go for it. We rented a 2-bedroom. Got a 12-inch hole in the wall (no kidding). The closet is literally falling apart. No AC in the second room. The maid said that the bathroom light cannot be fixed. It is on 24/7. You can hear all the noises from the street. Definitely need a major upgrade. However, staff is helpful and location is excellent. You decide it yourself.
