A great place to stay. Only a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station. Bed was comfortable. Room wasn’t big but absolutely fine for what we needed. Breakfast was good - full English plus pastries and cake. The service was great. Would definitely stay again.

Had very good service and breakfast was great. The room was great and clean. Was a walkable distance to train and bus stations, many restaurants, shops, and much more. Safe area to walk at night as well. Definitely family friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Our room was compact, but then all we planned on doing was sleeping there. Basic needs taken care of in the room, facilities satisfactory. Staff were all very friendly, can not fault any of them. The cooked breakfast was fine, good selection of fruit, pastries and drinks all served very efficiently. Good value for money given the area we were in.

A great little hotel. Very good value for your money. Don’t expect the ritz, just appreciate a warm, clean room which is conveniently located. Breakfast included too, which again was a complete bargain and very tasty. Loads of continental offerings, drinks and decent fresh coffee. I will always book here to work in the area.

This location worked for us so we overlooked the small spaces (bathroom is tiny for 5 people) and enjoyed the full breakfast. Beds were comfortable but there was just no space to move in the room. Its a beautiful old building near the Metro and with lots of charm. Felt safe.

We stayed in room 9 it was perfect first room right next to reception. It was very nice and very clean.They served a full English breakfast along with a wonderful selection of pastries.The people serving breakfast were all very nice especially Doris😍Robert who takes care of things at night was ver helpful with many things.We were there two nights would definitely recommend it .

Daniel is a superb host, very knowledgeable and went over and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. We even had an issue on our departure as tubes were unexpectedly shut down and he helped with alternative modes to reach the airport. Will definitely be back.

This is a wonderful hotel. The rate was very reasonable, so we were not expecting too much. To say we were agreeably surprised would be a major understatement. The room (both bedroom and bathroom) was spotless and nicely appointed, and the temperature was perfect. It got to freezing outside but we were always comfortable. The neighbourhood is very quiet and very safe: we walked back from the tube after 10 pm with no hint of any problem. The Gloucester Rd tube station is only about 5 minutes away on foot. The staff could not be more helpful. And, saving the best for last, they serve a full English breakfast, despite the website saying it's only continental (hich they also have).

It's a very nice stay with good British breakfast everyday. Location is very good and convenient in a safe neighborhood.
Daniel at the front desk is super friendly and provided the excellent services to us. We have followed his recommendations and had really good time in Londan. If you are lucky enough you may get a chance to meet the old gentleman (owner) who's very smart and kind too.
The only minor issue was the lady (night shift?) who didn't want to help us at all to call the Hilton hotel in London STN airport to check my missing UK charger. It's not late (around 8PM) that night (should be our 1st night of the stay) but she directly told us to ask the front desk next morning... Eventually I got the helpul phone call from a nearby hotel.

Cute pensione near Kensington

We really liked the St. Simeon. Don't expect it to be like an American hotel with a huge bathroom and a pool. It has little rooms, eclectic art and twisty corridors. That's what makes it great--it's not trying to be anything other than a charming pensione in a Victorian era building. They've added TVs and have plenty of towels and other little amenities. If you love character and supporting independent businesses over corporate, cookie-cutter hotels, St. Simeon is a good choice. Really close to Earl's Court tube station (and Lady Diana's flat) and the staff was really nice. They served breakfast but we didn't make it down it time due to jet lag but they offered us coffee/tea because they felt bad we will missed it. We'd stay there again, definitely.

While having reasonable expectations of budget accommodation, St Simeons was very poor and tired. Bathroom sink plug not working, very old linen, tv didn’t work, breakfast very disappointing. Won’t go back. It’s a shame cause the location was excellent.
It needs a complete revamp.

Cheap, good location, but very very basic.

Very cheap, considering the location, but you get what you pay for. The bed was uncomfortable, there was hair in the shower, and the toilet dripped all night long.

I needed to iron a shirt, but they didn't have an iron.

I also woke up the next morning itching!

Great little budget hotel! Very clean, comfortable, and wonderful customer service. Breakfast was fresh and yummy and the staff work very hard to please you. Reviews that complain about towels and water splashing in the bathroom are people who want a 4-star hotel at 2-star prices. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this hotel. It’s perfect! Just know, it’s not fancy. We loved it!

You never told me that the hotel was closed so we were stranded in London. Luckily we had some help and found somewhere else to stay. So we need a full refund as we have had no communication from you that the hotel was closed. And we have had to pay out again. Please respond as soon as possible. Not happy ruined our break away.

Absolutely fine for the price in a good location on New Years Eve. Friendly staff. Lift to room on 4th floor. Only disappointment was the absence of tea/coffee making facilities that were listed on the booking. Really could have done with a cuppa on awaking on New Years Day!

Great location, nice area, decent price, friendly and helpful staff, fair english breakfast included, there's also a lift which is great, the rooms are very basic and a bit small and the one we had needed a new coat of paint, the beds are also a bit small and hard but ok, it's a budget 2 star hotel so not much more can be expected, the one thing I didn't like was the very thin and probably uninsulated interior walls where you can hear your neighbours quite clearly, would probably stay here again.

Excellent location, a few minutes from the tube station/restaurants/supermarkets/pubs. Hotel is fine, although our room was tiny and the breakfast was ok (always felt busy and rushed, maybe because it was only available for 1.5 hours, unlike most hotels). Housekeeping consisted of throwing the duvet over the bed but not actually making the bed! If you don't expect a big room or great breakfast, but want somewhere with a central location, this place will be a good option

Really like this hotel, will stay again. Ran by a family that treats the guests warmly. Every time I was in the lobby or waiting downstairs for the family to get ready I was offered coffee or tea or a snack. Pleasant conversation with the operators, they work hard for your stay. Five minute walk to the Gloucester Road Tube station. Five minute walk to Earl’s Court neighborhood. Pubs with customers flowing into the street is the norm. Great location for family, nice walking neighborhood.

Bargain for staying in london

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location was close to public transportation and within walking distance of some sites.
The room was tiny and too small to have a twin and double bed. We had to place our suitcase on top of the one chair with no dresser to unpack anything which meant the only place to sit was on the beds. The room was located near the front desk and was noisy - we could hear people talking through the walls.

It is a small family-run hotel in a old row house, adjacent to a much larger hotel next door. Rooms are small and facilities dated. The hotel is family owned and well run. Sure it's no frills, but the good service of hotel staff more than make up for any inherent deficiencies. They serve warm breakfasts. And, we saw in a couple occasions, they went out of their way to help arriving guests to have their needs met. Plus, location is good, quiet but just 5min to underground station. Close to museums. Definite thumbs up!

It was a very basic stay but the super friendly staff made up for it really. And you get what you pay for in London. You couldn’t stand up in the shower. Space was very limited. Room v small. But staff were ready to be helpful if you needed extra blankets etc. You couldn’t fault their willingness to help. Breakfast room got packed quickly but service quick and food good. Location perfect for what we wanted.

I I knew this would a budget hotel with small rooms based on what we paid for but the hotel needs to be gutted out and renovated. It is not clean and very old. The staff was fine with ok English language. The location is great, in a nice neighbourhood and close to 2 underground stations; Gloucester and Earl’s Court. There are many restaurants in the area. The breakfast was surprisingly good and hot and they offered 2 options of eggs: scrambled or sunny side up with other items. I would say the breakfast was the only good part of this hotel.
There are other nicer hotels in the neighborhood but they cost double to triple the amount. London hotels are pricey. It might be an OK hotel for just a single night. I will not stay in this hotel again.

Room was a joke. It was in the eaves - couldn’t stand in the bathroom, in my opinion they shouldn’t be allowed to rent it out, let alone at £100/nt. Both of us were bitten by mites or something too. Area good but wouldn’t stay again, their version of a full English breakfast was just weird.

Great location. Close to the tube & best of all has an elevator! Rather hostel-like, & bed could definately be more comfortable (felt the springs on my side of the mattress.) Somewhat noisy from building construction across the street & some motorcycles. Definately needs hooks in the bathroom as no where to hang anything. Great price for London.

We were at this hotel during a heat wave and our room did not have air conditioning. It was okay since we were out until after 10pm and we had a fan that help circulate the cool evening air that would come through the skylight opening. Our room on the 5th floor had a low ceiling which caused some caution for those over 6 feet. The location was convenient. a couple of blocks to the tube and many restaurants and stores nearby, The 5th floor was accessible by lift and very quite except for the occasion guess door closing on the 4th floor, There was a lost guest who was in the hall but they found their way eventually. Our particular room was at the edge of the building and had sloped walls since it was the uppermost floor. A bit small for our group of 4 but cozy and nice with private bath. This room just had the a skylight, no window. The lower floors would have had windowed rooms.Complementary breakfast was good and a full English breakfast was complementary. Plenty of toast, rolls and fruit available. Coffee and tea were good. Juice was orange drink, Staff were friendly, We were able to grab and go one day since we had an early tour bus to catch.

We were in London to visit museums and are very glad to have found the St Simeon. It is very conveniently located, the staff (largely a family) are delightfully friendly and helpful, and a full breakfast is provided every morning. I downgraded a bit on comfort as it was quite hot at night and we didn’t have a fan. But the price makes it a terrific bargain.

The hotel was in the perfect area for us. Just a short walk to fantastic restaurants and easy transportation.
The staff were helpful and seemed concerned with making our stay comfortable.
The room was very small (two of us couldn’t stand side by side) and marginally clean, with stains on some of the walls. If you are staying for one of two nights and only concerned about a place to sleep, it’s not bad.

We got an upgrade to the loft bedroom. The balcony and view were a lovely and quiet spacious treat. Nice flat screen tv. Bathroom and shower were big, modern great-typically small sink. So many beds! Comfy n clean sheets! Refridge, lots of wardrobe space. Ivan is awesome. Breakfast ladies and breakfast is SO abundant and delish w 24h access to drinks and kitchen. Ecclectic and lovely furnishing style. Close but cozy! So would return!! Great price too. Nice area with plenty of whatever u want and tube stop so close!

Our room was not ready at check-in. The key entry was broken. They gave us a room to wait in for two hours.

The staff were apologetic to our room not being ready. But overall the two night stay was a horrible experience. Dirty room, stained pillows and comforters, dusty shelves, cobwebs, musty smell, very noisy room - kept us up all night...it was not what was presented in the write up, we were expecting an english experience - but it was family owned from Russia - english as a second language or non english speaking staff... although they were all very nice and accomodating! The staff were the saving grace of the experience.

A nice hotel in the great Kensington area. Close to Royal Albert Hall, museums, Harrods shopping. An English classic feel to the property. Nothing fancy but provided all our needs nicely for the family.

very warm welcome at the Reception; given a treat of home-made cake & warm coffee as room not ready for early check-in.... never have such experience !!

Small, quiet, family run hotel, conveniently located near Tube & buses, local restaurants, pub & grocery stores. Handy to Exhibition Row. Friendly helpful staff. Amazing, full English breakfast. Would definitely book again.
