I'm going to be as fair about this hotel as I can.
Good points - Cheap for the area. Bed linen and towel was clean.
Bad points - Dilapidated, grubby, non-functioning tv and microwave left in room like dead little props. The microwave looked fine from the outside but was rusted to hell on the inside. The tv switched on but was impossible to get any channels. I didn't appreciate the head grease marks on the wall by the pillow or the wierd sticky with like things on the doorframe, or the vermin catcher next to the crockery under the sink.
I would prefer to sleep next to 12 strangers in a clean hostel next time.

This hotel shouldn’t be on Travelocity in my opinion. The exterior hotel entrance has old, tacky artificial grass. The interior hotel entrance has old, filthy, ripped carpet. This continues up the stairs to your room. Our room had a large repair patch (about 4’x8’) on the ceiling with water damage still visible (about 3’x3’). We were very concerned about possible mold exposure. The room hadn’t been updated for decades. The bathroom had unsightly repair work on the walls. The bathroom sink is about the size of an airliner’s. Overall, the place was dirty, outdated, dingy, and in need of serious repairs. Numerous hotels in London were sold out, so this is why we tried this place. We couldn’t bring ourselves to even spend the night there. The manager would not refund our stay. We found much a much better place, but we had to go out to Heathrow to find vacancies. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. This is a hotel of last resort. You have been warned.

Staff was great, checkin and checkout was quick and efficient;

The property was very run down, the building was very smelly (cigarette/musty moldy-smelling layers of carpeting in the hallways), the room was not fully clean (corners were visibly dirty and generally the floors weren’t clean, unused surfaces were not dusted), dangerous shower as it was way too small and had uneven surface, there was a old rusty screw sticking out of shower between shower head and bottom of the shower head hose, the bathroom flight flickered constantly, the curtains were not blackout, there was leftover food in the freezer portion of the fridge, and one entire power outlet did not work at all.

This hotel is fantastic for it's location! The Underground is a couple of minutes walk, loads of restaurants, and walking distance to parks, museums, etc. But it is very bare bones. If you want great location safe, quiet, and truly excellent price, this is it.

I would NOT recommend stay here!
From our experience:
Pros- trash was collected every day, beds sort of made, the staff worked with giving us a slightly better room, they held our bags while we waited for room to be ready, they gave us an extra fan, and location is great and close to places to eat, subway, and walking distance to grocery, laundromat and park.
Cons- the smell and view of mold was discovered in room 1. After examining they offered us another room as our only option. They placed someone else in room 1 after being informed of the mold. The rooms are stuffy and hot, smokers blocking the entry to building, not convenient for longer stays due to lack of kitchen items and space, crappy and uncomfortable beds, only standing room in bathroom, we discovered a mouse in our bathroom two nights before our departure, refuse to give refund for any reason.

Receptionist mocked my name as I checked in. Room felt grubby, didnt like walking on the floors especially the bathroom with no so socks on. Sink was falling of the walk and the kitchen cupboard was hanging off. Bedroom window wouldn't stay shut so managed to wedge it with a fork.

The room was dirty and dated. There were bugs on one of the mattresses. There were three beds in my room and one had bed bugs. The beds were squeeky and we could hear every movement from the other rooms. I couldn't get the door to lock from the inside. The only reason we stayed was because we arrived around midnight and left at 8am. On the plus side the location was good and the area was quiet.

We did not stay.
Could not get into the building at first as dodgy lock on front door.
The room we were given was awful, dirty, beds were thin mattress, toilet didn't flush, well it did it you flushed it four or five tries.
The worst part was for the outside door and room door you are given a master key, this means you have access to every room as does everyone else.
Complained to hotel.com but apparently as the owner would not give a refund tough on me.
If you have no possessions you want to leave in the room, like sleeping on something like a camping mattress, and don't mind some rubbush left in room, oh and the corridor used as the linen storage, then this is the hotel for you. Definitely not for me!

The area outside was very nice, but the hotel itself needed a lot of work. there were random big bags everywhere and it was hard to walk through. in the rooms, the beds were shaky and they gave us a room downstairs, which was creepy and reminded me of a clown kidnap house. I hope The condition of this hotel will improve.

Literally a case of getting what you pay for - would I take someone that I was looking to impress here, no. But I took the kids and as a place to lay your head, it was fine.

The room was awful, beds bent in the middle, solid flat pillows kids called them matts, windows didn't close properly, shower that couldn't be used on wall, paint peeling off everywhere, stains on bed sheets, kitchen glass toble not securely fixed on in fact not attached at all to the legs bathroom sink faulty doors dont shut properly

You get what you pay for. Chap on front desk was friendly and happy to help if needed anything. Bedding and towels all clean but the basement room (furniture etc) was beyond basic - . The radiator was working but a trip to the loo was ridiculously cold. fine for a cheap over night stay.

One of the worst places in the whole world

It was horrendous! Upon check-in the guy was off, took a good 30min for the room to be ready considering it was already 6pm. Reception area is reek of cigarette even upon entry to the room. The room that was supposed to be assigned had leakage so had to transfer but even to the new one it was horrible, cracks everywhere and stinky too! Saw a nice running around the room, even the bathroom is unpleasant. The staff are so rude and very unwelcoming! Never ever stay here! Hope this place closed down due to its standard!

Nice hotel near the Underground. Beds were comfy, easy check in and out. We were taken to the building next door, wet paint on walls and string paint smell. No lifts which is quite hard if u have a lot of luggage. On booking it says Check out time was 11 am but at 10:20 am someone was banging on our door asking us to leave, had to hurry up.

The location was really good, a short walk to multiple underground stops. Also about a mile from Hyde Park if you're looking to run. The room was clean enough. There was not many power outlets. The bathroom was kind of weird, the tub in the shower was small and angled making it hard to stand in. We were on the top floor so wifi was kind of hard to get, but if you really need wifi you might have to go to the lobby. It was not great, but relative to the price it was pretty good.

Property in dire need of maintenance. Worn out carpets on stairs, mismatched and misplaced shower tiles, shower stall dirty, sink old and hard to use with two faucets, water too hot. No air conditioning. No elevator. We were in a fourth floor room. 60 steps to the room with luggage. Evidence of prior water leaks on walls and ceilings. BED BUGS in one bed. Bumps discovered after stay. Toured four counties. This was the most expensive of all the properties we stayed in.

Good things. House keeper was very friendly and helpful. Requests for fans were honored. There was hot water.

the price was good . The check in lady was nice and friendly . That’s was a basement room which can be improved better . Like change the old old sink and faucet (current one hot water and cold water are on different sides). The toilet flushed but only 20% of the water came out ....another room on other night the water was leaking not sure from where . Maybe from the bathtub. Full of water on the floor next morning. . ..

To be told upon arrival that there was only 2 double beds instead a double and 2 singles isn't ideal as this wasn't what i booked and we had some squashed work men. The bathroom floor had missing tiles and had just a lino put over the top. some of the towels where damp also.

Windows can’t be locked. Toilet don’t work well. This unit needs a lot of improvement. This is basement unit. No fan. No mask in window. Noisy tube train sounds. Location is convenient. Staff is fine. WiFi signal is too weak to use.

We stayed two nights at this hotel with our three kids. The bathrooms are really small and congested and have barely space to stand. The bathroom sink is hardly 12 inches wide. The first night we stayed there were ants in our bathroom. The staff was helpful enough to give us another room. But again the second room was small and congested. There was no coffee in either room. It was not worth the price we paid.

Easy check in. Bed wasn't the comfiest. Tv didn't work. Bathroom was clean enough,. Small kitchenette was a bonus, overall pretty happy with the place for the price paid. Very close to earls court station.

Worst WIFI I have experienced in 10 years. Sometimes worked, but generally did not work anywhere in the hotel.

Hotel management did not appear to have a customer focus.

Suggest people pay a few pounds more and stay at a nicer hotel.

Area very accessible / Staff friendly and nice.

The location is very accessible to what a tourist / traveler would need. About 40 minTrain ride Picadilly Line from Heathrow Airport. It is just 4 min walk to Earls Court station, different types of restaurants for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. A couple of fast food chains as well if you're really on a budget, and there is a Laundromat in the area as well.

The staff were very nice and accomodating. Cleaning lady very good and friendly.

Check-In and Check-Out was quick. You can leave your bags when you check-out if you have a later flight in the afternoon.

They charge 3% fee for card payments and this is not communicated during booking. Wifi only on ground floor. Tv reception very poor, unusable. Big kitchen sink in the room. Dirty and tiny wash basin in bathroom, looks like wasn't cleaned for years. No water pressure. Hot water runs out between 7.30 and 8.00. Mattress very old.

I knew, when booking, that this would be a budget hotel, hopefully one step up from my backpacking days. This time, decades later, I was bringing along my family. I was expecting a room with one double and two singles, but instead got a room with two doubles. The person at front desk said that I should have called ahead of time if that was what I wanted, even though it's what my reservation information said I had booked. Okay. I could have a better room if I wanted, but it would cost more. The room was floors up (no elevator, but that wasn't unexpected), the curtains were ripped, the little kitchenette was dirty, the bathroom was really dirty, the hallways were cluttered with cleaning supplies, large bags, and other things. On the positive side - the gentleman at the counter was polite and friendly, the beds were comfortable (though the piillows were horrible so I used my airplane pillow that wraps around your neck; and the bed cover was dirty). It was a brief stay, so okay, but overall I would avoid this place. We stayed at the Jubilee Hotel later in our trip for an even better rate - including a continental breakfast - and it was far better.

Excellent budget hotel 5 mins from Earl's Court

VERY good budget hotel, friendly staff who despite not knowing English as a first language were very forthcoming, informative, polite and fun to speak to. Location is amazing, you're only 5 minutes from Earl's Court, a bit further for Gloucester Road station and there's even a Sainsburys within 5 minutes of the hotel's location! The only caveats were:

- If you're used to getting complimentary shower gel/shampoo etc you'll be sorely disappointed. I personally don't mind as there's a supermarket within 5 minutes walk *anyway* and it's cheap enough to get
- Expedia ought to update the hotel's description; the hotel staff told me that management contacted Expedia to update the description to state that the hotel doesn't include breakfast but Expedia failed to comply with that request. Very misleading
- Am not sure if they include wifi or not? I will ask next time I stay there, but it's something to note if you don't have 3G/4G data connections etc and want to use the Internet for some reason

Budget hotel in London

Clean and comfortable. Only had bare necessities. Room had a fridge and kettle. Cleaning lady friendly and allowed us to leave luggage all day on last day.Room cleaned everyday.Affordable and basic when only need a place to stay . 5 min walk to Earls Court underground which goes straight to Heathrow.Beware of 3% surcharge on credit card which we were not aware of.
