Very small bathroom. Couldn't sit on the toilet without hitting the sink. Couldn't wash properly cause the shower was so small. The Ac leaked water on my luggage and the bed was a 2 inch mattress and a wood frame. Only good thing was I need an extra night and they gave me a discount on a better room

Very small rooms was problematic. Broken AC and bathroom switch was broken. One staff member was extremely helpful, and moved us to a room with working AC on day 3 ( of 4) , but room size remained a problem. Price was extremely reasonable for London , but accommodation limits would make me hesitate to return

Will not stay here again room is small not clean dust next to the bed found a dirty tissue on the floor fire alarm kept going off in the morning disturbing my sleep housekeeping just entered the room while im asleep there was no water or shower for a good couple hours because they was fixing it even though said it would be half an hour overall would never stay here again

DONT BOOK HERE! Pictures are a total lie. This place is a dump, unsafe in terrible conditions. Rooms are a joke, upon arrival and after going down to the basement to our assigned room we got to a room where we barely fit, the walls had water stained, the shower had mold everywhere, the toilet water had a rim of who knows what color, pinkish. The window was not a window but just a curtain. It looked like they painted themselves because you could see the marks of the brush all over. The front desk guy offered a new room, in newer conditions and it had the same issues except that it was on the top floor without a lift/elevator, we tried another one that you had to go out, it was was in an alley full of trash bags and things. We grabbed our belongings and ran away from this s.. hole. I believe their policy is to send an email after you book indicating they are under “remodeling” and hope it’s ok. When we got to the reception there was a sofa covered with a sheet, yes a sheet and I thought must be because of the construction. When i inquired about the construction, the front desk person wasn't even aware of it and said that there isnt such a thing, so it’s a total LIE!! Immediately i contacted expedia (good thing I had bought a sim card) and they try to processed a cancelation on the spot, however their procedure was to call the property. Expedia called the front desk didn't pick up I saw him ignoring the call and then putting it on silent, the other number they provided was a fax

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The hotel was under construction and should not be open. When I arrived at the hotel, the construction worker said no one that worked there was in the hotel. Some of the stairs to my room were unfinished ply wood. The door to my room had one splotchy coat of white paint on it and the room number was written in sharpie. The bed was made of lumber. The big large window in the room was open and would not close. No screen in the window and the manager said there was nothing that could be done. The door didn’t lock and a contractor had to come fix it. No garbage can, television, or phone in the room as mentioned in the room description. Very loud construction. The bathroom was the size of a closet. Toilet seat was purposely put on crooked so that both knees didn’t hit the sink when you used it. Outside the bathroom door was a kitchen cupboard handle and on the inside was a folded piece of sand paper screwed to the door. I woke up the first night to a spider crawling on the bed and then seen more outside my door the next day. One morning the door wouldn’t lock and the evening staff that was sleeping on the couch in the lobby when I went down said there was nothing he could do. I said it needed to be fixed by the time I got back as I didn’t want my belongings in an unlocked room to begin with and I said no housekeeping in my room that day. He did not listen. Staff don’t communicate with each other at all. Overpriced “hotel”. Not worth it at all.

This property was centrally located near many great dining options and the Earl’s Court tube station. The property was undergoing renovations during our stay and I imagine it’ll be a great upgrade to the building once completed. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting London. The proprietor was exceptionally welcoming and helpful as was the staff.

Ceiling came in in the bathroom during the night.
Put in a room that was clearly a basement garage, with no curtain. Wallpaper peeling off from the damp, everything damp. TV didn’t work. Unable to use.
Neither lock nor door was safe or sufficient.
Whole building leaking with water everywhere.
This hotel is worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in my life.

Vi hade fått information att en viss renovering pågick men detta var under all kritik. Vi lyckades byta till ett annat boende resterande nätter.

Mai avuto un'esperienza cosi negativa. Solo il personale si salva, perche è cordiale e simpatico. Il resto, uno schifo totale. Intanto la parola \"pulizia\" non esiste. Camera polverosa ogniddove. Tenda oscurante praticamente \"inesistente\". Il bagno ancora peggio! Per fare i bisogni è un'impresa, il tubo del lavandino urta e da fastidio quando ci si siede sul water, il posaoggetti è polveroso. Le pulizie giornaliere non esistono e nemmeno il rifare la camera. Nemmeno un cambio degli asciugamani e mai rifatto il letto una volta. Questo e un hotel a una stella e non di piu. Io in hotel a una stella sono stato ma erano molto meglio. Durante il giorno ci lavoravano e c'era un polverone non finiva piu. Lo sconsiglio a chiunque perche qui davvero siamo a livelli sotto zero. Per non parlare delle scale che oltre ad essere polverose, anche pericolose. Per 344 euro, proprio.... no no, non si siamo. Come minimo per stare qua la spesa giornaliera deve essere non piu di 15/20 euro. Delle 2 luci in camera ne funziona solo una. Boia ma se questo deve essere un hotel (forse un ostello è la parola piu corretta) meglio rifare una lezione in una scuola alberghiera. Va bene qualche hotel peggio, qualcuno meglio, qualche cosa da rifare... ma qui da rifare da capo a coda. Sconsigliato (specie per gli allergici alla polvere, perche sarebbe la fine) a chiunque.

Do not recommend

No cleaning for 4 days, only emtying the waste bin. No small towels only one big per person, no bathroom rug. Broken window handle. Broken toilet paper holder. Bed was good enough to sleep in but not comfortable. Two wall mounted lamps, only one working. Shower cabin unable to completely close doors because one only attached on top (resulting in a lot of water on floor). Water in shower impossible to get good temperature - either ice cold or scolding hot. No breakfast even though announced on web there was. Corridor lightning not working properly, some stairs had to be climbed in darkness due to malfunctioning sensors.

Hôtel is well located to key attractions at walking distance. There is no elevator; so, it’s not friendly user for older people that needs to carry luggages to the 4th floor. Room and bathroom are extra small with no furniture except your bed. It is not a cozy, warm and welcoming place. Feel like more staying at an hostel for younger travellers. Not recommended for older people but you decide. My spouse and I will not go back to this place.

Very tiny room, shower was broken and flooded the bathroom every time it was used, it was very hot in the small room but when using a/c water flooded the room and end of our bed became soaked, we were not provided towels for showering. There was a glazed window between our room and another, they left their light on all night and it lit our room making it impossible to sleep. Location was very good.

Don't Let This Happen To You

My wife and I (both 53) are seasoned travellers and came to London for a 3-day break, two nights in this hotel.

I was sent a confirmation from Hotels.com the week before but on arrival I was told we were booked for two different days. The receptionist told me he would call the manager to help solve this unfortunate issue.

The manager arrived and was very aggressive, told me that it was ME who had made the mistake - that I had been sent an email telling me my credit card had been rejected. This was untrue. He also told me to stop shouting, which I wasn't.

I asked \"If my credit card has been declined, how have I been able to book two different nights on the same card?\", he told me that I could call the police if I liked (??!!) but it was ME who had made the mistake and not him. He got very angry at me and started pointing at me!
When the original receptionist tried to explain to him, the manager shushed him, holding a finger up to his face, like you would a child.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Looking back, it was hilarious. But what wasn't funny was the fact we now how to find a new hotel, the afternoon London was packed with supporters for the Women's Euro football final.

Why didn't he admit he had made a mistake, apologise and then help me find another hotel? It happens.

I've run this exchange through my mind several times and I still can't believe it happened.
We parted on bad terms. My wife & I went hotel-hunting...what a strange man!

I loved the rooms and how they had a/c. My biggest complaint is that the hotel wifi was not accessible in the rooms. In order to access the wifi you had to be in the dining area of the hotel. The wifi signal does not reach the rooms.

It's very close to subway, easy to go around. The room has everything: air conditioning, tv, washroom. But the washroom is so small that it's difficult to turn around. We stayed there for more than 10 days, nobody emptied garbage for us: there was no garbage bin in the room, i asked but didn't get one. Finally I found one inside the room the day before we left. Maybe they finally remembered we need a garbage bin. The staff are nice abd friendly. For a low budget trip, it's a good choice.

An Exhibition of a Rooftop Rat Hole in the Royals

The location of this hotel is right downtown Kensignton, so you can't complain, it's right where you want to be if you have friends in high, royal status. Train links right near by, and a nice pub, the Stanhorpe Arms 2 blocks away. However, the TV was busted, the internet was spotty, don't rely on any entertainment other than what you bring to the table. WARNING: as with most older, Victorian homes, modern renovations has sub-divided these old genteel places into the smallest, possible divisible space - if you don't like climbing stairs, STAY AWAY! My room was on the top floor, as in 4th (if you're British, then 3rd) and I had to climb not just one flight of stairs, but TWO, given the small landing at each floor, so roughly 8 flights of stairs was required to gain access to my little chicken coop/loft. The view was nice, but then the exercise was painfully reminiscent of too much stairmaster.
Nevertheless, this was the cheapest hotel in London at the time of my booking, and you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!
The bathroom is barely functional, with a really awkward 80's derived shower cubicle, that looks more like entering a broken Michael Jackson life-enrichment bubble machine...No extra toilet paper, hardly any soap, etc.
But the nice gentleman at the front desk is polite, just DON'T BRING VISITORS in that are not your own family.. I think it's only one person per room.
Otherwise, go out there and ENJOY LONDON!!

Avoid avoid avoid, the hotel is awful, it is dirty and the manager rude, When we went into our room there was dirt and what looked like food stains on the walls, I told him about this and all he could say was that he is refunding our money basically leaving us no alternative but to book another hotel at 11pm at night despit him knowing I had a minor with me. He said your standards are different to ours and was happy to sell the room with dirty walls. The room was so small it did not even have a full size double bed in. He previously tried to give us a room 4 floors up with no lift when my daughter has asthma. The street in which the hotel was in was also very unsafe we were approached by people sitting around drinking on the steps taking drugs. Please do not use this hotel.

So we booked a room that stated ac on the advertisement when we got to the room it didn’t work he said it’s no longer available, no tea or coffe facilitys in the bed room.we was greeted to a room that’s small and the beds was falling apart, the toilet is so small u can even sit down in it we had no toilet paper in the room the side table was a disgusting stained chair paid for a room and didn’t even bother stopping 2 of the 4 plus sockets wasnt working!! Sockets was hanging off the wall walls was meant to be white but haven’t had a lick of paint since 1970s no lift for disabled access we paid before we seen the property and we decided to find somewhere better so will be getting the money back from the bank we have video footage of the room

Only good bits are price and location (40£ per night in Kensington) . The room was tiny, marked, dented, stained and dirty. WiFi didn't work, overall noisy. Breakfasts area disgusting. In the room, of 4 Electric plugs on the wall one only worked. No table or bin, just 2 beds and a dirty, stained chair.
Price was cheap, I don't expect a 5 star hotel , but this place is substandard. hygiene and comfort are always expected doesn't matter the price.

OK for one night if you can find a reduced rate mainly thanks to the great location. Like many hotels in the area converted from old townhouses it has a somewhat shabby feel to it and really needs a full refurbishment but the beds are ok, shower hot and nice breakfast.

Apart from that it was clean and comfortable with a lovely view from the window. Just a shame it was let down by a few small details.

The pictures on website are not close to what rooms look like in person. It had a small bathroom, room, no room to put our clothes anywhere and overpriced. We order a taxi early morning 5am which front desk charged $50 to the airport. The cab driver said he was Uber driver charged him $22 so we got ripped off by front desk guy. So, Uber is international just download app will be much cheaper. The location is good walking distance to places and if your ok with just place to stay overnight it's ok. No elevators we were 3 floor and long narrow stairs.

The room toilet smells like a public toilet. The pillows were similar to tortilla thickness. Bath towels very small... i have seen face towels bigger... the room smells like molds, not even a small carpet or rug on the floor, the ac doesn't works, in the morning the all the noise of the breakfeasf come inside the room from 6 am. To be honest this hotel is a half star one... TO AVOID...

No elevator in hotel. Less than 1/2 mile from Earls Court Underground Station. We asked for a one hour later checkout, which they said was OK but were going to charge us 20 pounds extra.

Was given a room on the top floor, which was good until we realised there was no lift. 73 narrow, and some steep steps later, we arrived in our tiny room. There was one single curtain to cover the entire window, held up by a broken curtain rail. The finishing in the room was tatty and poor quality, and the bedside table was a stained stool. The bathroom was extremely tired, the toilet seat kept moving to one side and the seal around the shower door was falling off. The smart TV worked from Wifi, but not if you use your mobile phone at the same time! Breakfast was in a small room in the basement (more steps) and there wasn't enough room to sit everyone who came down to breakfast.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. No wifi, TV or phone reception. Bed and sheets we pre 1980's. Room was very tired. Arrived at the hotel to a group of people threatening to call the police alleging they had been ripped off.Rood was off breakfast room so awakened every morning to peoples conversations over breakfast. Staff were doing the best they could.

My stay was okay. The room was very small but was at pictured. The bathroom was tiny but clean. The walls are thin so when other guests come back in the early morning hours/middle of the night, it gets loud. Breakfast was nice but only served 7:30-9 so it wasn't ideal. Cleaning staff left my room door open, leaving my room open to anyone. Wifi was inconsistent. It was okay, but I would probably stay elsewhere if I go back.

I parked in front of the hotel and the employee watched me park. The employee then took us to the check in area and spent 10 or 15 minutes checking us in and taking us to our room. We came back downstairs and out to the car about 15 minutes later to find a parking ticket for £125. At no time did the employee tell me that I needed to move my car to a Pay and Display area down the street from the property about 75 feet. When I spoke to the manager about this he stated that it wasn't the employee's job.
