I have been lucky with my room at this hotel many times but not this last time. One was very noisy - every time someone walked in the next door room my bed vibrated, another was mostly in the basement. The third one was fine but I won’t risk the hassle again. Great location for heathrow and central London.

Premium character hotel in central London with superb value to cost. Spent a week here whilst attending a technology conference. Hotel is nicely furnished and the breakfast to order was great.

Lovely staff who were genuinely nice and friendly. You could feel that it’s a naturally nice place to work. I’m normally used to paying 250/night for central London, but Indigo really makes the case to stretch that to 350 for such a huge gain in comfort and style.

We loved our stay here, the room was large for London with high ceilings, a lovely view, and a comfy bed. The location is top-notch, steps to Earl's Court tube station and loads of shops and cafes (the Blackbird pub on the corner was wonderful) but off the noisy main street. We did have one hiccup where the hotel lost water for a couple of hours one morning, which delayed our plans, but the staff were nice about it and everything else too.

I am giving this hotel 2 starts because of the few positive things like very location, cute lobby and good breakfast.
As for the rest, run! We were first given room 615, which contrary to what it sounds, it's actually half underground. The humidity and mold in the air were unbearable. We requested the room to be changed and were told there is only one other available, on the last floor, but that is a premium room and 30/pounds per night were requested. If we are not willing to pay, they offered to spray some perfume in the room... I asked for a refund instead, which was not accepted. We were there presented 2 more rooms, still underground, about which the manager said \"they don't smell that much\".
I got in contact with Expedia to ask them for the refund, but I was told they need hotel approval for that, which again they denied.
So we ended up not being able to sleep in the room upstairs because of a very noisy elevator/technical room.
Furthermore, the water supply was down for more than an hour, leaving the entire hotel unable to use the toilets.
The stuff had the worst attitude I've ever experienced. We left after 3 nights annoyed and with a skin rash.

Spend your money wisely and avoid this location!

After a poor start with the hotel giving us basement rooms with only a small sky-light the staff rectified the matter and we received lovely rooms on the first floor. This hotel has always been our favourite place to stay in London and we
have in the past always had a great time. The location is so convenient to the tube at Earl's Court, restaurants and shops.

Rip Off Hotel Indigo London at Kensington

When we checked in the air conditioning did not work in the hotel. We informed the manager that we would check out the next morning because the AC did not work and there was a summer heat wave. We asked to speak to the manager who was no where to be found for 2 days. We checked out and 2 days later they charged us for 2 nights even though we spent only 1 night at the hotel. No concern, no caring, no hospitality and terrible customer service. Rip off hotel!

The room was quaint-very typical \"British\" feeling-small for 2 but sufficient since we weren't in the room but to sleep. The bathroom was ok...the shower was not ideal. The handheld shower head mount was coming off the wall--and you couldn't take a shower without water getting on the floor outside the shower. It was nice that it had both an overhead and handheld shower heads, though! Breakfast was only ok, but that's probably more a personal preference. If purchased ahead of time there is a significant savings. It includes a nice continental breakfast combined with ordering off the \"hot menu\". The coffee was good-espresso, cappuccino, or just coffee is included unless you order a la carte. The location is very close to the Earl's Court Underground station which can take you to just about anywhere in London you want to go. Hotel is also only a mile or so from the \"museum district\" so very walkable which was nice. Several places to eat between the hotel and the Underground-fast food and sit down.
Amanda at the front desk was delightful! She helped make our stay a pleasure and was very helpful with directions, etc.!

Wonderful breakfast with great service and staff. A shout out to Anjali, Shanel, Sharven, Richard and Henry who were very helpful and professional! We stayed there for five nights and found the location perfect with a number of nearby restaurants and a super close tube station.
The rooms are well appointed. However the shower drain was not good and the shower floor design so flawed that the only way to avoid an overflow was to interrupt the shower every minute or two to allow the water to drain.

I booked a Premier Queen room 27m-32m. On arrival at the property I was optomistic as it's in a great location and the building is beautiful. We were allocated a room in the basement and on entry into the room I was really disappointed by how small it was. The bathroom was very tired, the door was in a terrible state with damage due to damp, and there were no hooks or a towel rail so nowhere to hang wet towels. Due to the location of the room, there was a lot of noise due to being near a staff area and looked out onto the area where the bins are located. I have stayed in many Indigo properties and I was really disappointed with this stay.

So this was my second time staying here within one week. I went to Liverpool for three days in between the two states. Come back the gentleman at the desk actually remembered me and yet assigned me to a room that I can only describe as a dungeon. Literally underground with a window that looked out into an interior courtyard where there was scaffolding. Had to step up into the bathroom. It was awful. The bed was like a rock. The pillows were worse and it was to say the least not a good deal. London is one of those cities with thousands and thousands of options so this will not be one that I will choose again.

The room was small and cramped and there was a TV installed on a table at the foot of the bed making the room even more cramped. The AC wasn't working properly in my room and there was a large fan taking up even more space. The hotel felt run down too. So disappointing. I loved this hotel 2 years ago. I won't return.

Really enjoyable stay. Friendly and pleasant staff. Helpful. Great breakfast, freshly cooked. Good quality and good choice. Great coffee. Rooms newly refurbished. Comfortable beds, water in mini fridge, slippers and dressing gowns.
Bathroom lacking shelf space, shower could be a bit more powerful and design allows some water on ground outside shower area. Some grout not cleaned off tiles but this is easily fixed. Light in parts of room a bit too low so would not be conducive if needed for applying make up etc. due to location of mirror.
Tea, coffee and biscuits supplied.
Quiet hotel, lots of bars, restaurants within easy reach and underground station around the corner.
Bottle beer at bar £7 for small bottle a tad on the expensive side.
Overall would highly recommend.

Have stayed at other Indigo hotels. This one is undergoing upgrades, but still was excellent. Lovely rooms (we had a 2 room suite), outstanding staff, great kitchen and breakfast, bar is open late, and the location was perfect. 1 block to tube station. Next to the Olympia (short Uber ride of 10 mins) where I was attending the Book Fair, and great restaurants within 10 minute walk radius.....Indian, Pubs, Tai, Italian.....take your pick..

It was an excellent stay. One of the best hotels in that area (and I stayed in a few). The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I did not know I had breakfast included and that was a nice surprise. Good breakfast for the price of the stay. The room was as expected for this kind of hotel, nothing special but nothing to complain about. Felt comfortable and had everything I needed. The location is in a good neighborhood with very convenient tube station. I truly think they are really trying to be excellent. Will for sure look at this hotel again for my next London trip.

Somewhat unloved room but the location is good

We booked a “premium room” but the premium feel was absent, unfortunately.
The greeting on checkin was fine, but upon arriving in the room the coffee spilt down the wall, runs over the skirting board and small patch on the floor were the give-away for the standards employed here. Yes, we could have complained, but spare time was not on our side as this was a busy business trip. Come shower time the raindrop shower head leaks water from above it, the bathroom door was quite water damaged (the wrong type of door for the use, if not sealed) and the two bath sheets had holes.
Breakfast looked barely cooked (which we did mention) so we grabbed something elsewhere - another wasted cost.
I have fed back complaints to the hotel, but a week on there remains no response, so I guess none of this is news to them.
On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, the equipment in the room good and the staff friendly. The location is the main plus point. On balance, I doubt we’d return as the return on expense really isn’t there (in our view). Perhaps if we’d have chosen a more basic experience it would have been better.

Fantastic Place, but avoid the basement

The room, the breakfast and the service were all fantastic. But initially we were offered a basement room, which had no view, no air circulation, and had a cleaning fluid smell which made it difficult to breathe. We asked for a change and luckily another room higher up was available. The basement rooms were not cheaper than the rest.

All the large rooms that can have an extra bed are in the basement, there were no windows in our room, and it is not advertised in the ad that these rooms are in the basement.
Also, we were robbed of my wife´s bag while having breakfast in the hotel dinning room. Seems like an inside job. The Hostess sat the thief next to us, he took the bag without us noticing except for another guest who called it, but nobody from the staff moved a finger. I must say that the manager was very helpful and supportive after the fact, calling the police and helping us cancel credit cards and phone. I do not recommend this hotel.

Great location close to the tube and street with restaurants and shops. Our room overlooked a green space and was relatively quiet despite being so close to the main road. Great spot, but starting to show its age

It pains me to give this review, but after staying here eight times over the last eight years, I’ve noticed this hotel taking quite a hit. It’s starting to finally feel worn down And rooms need a serious refresher. I understand there was a minor remodel a couple years back in the common areas, but the rooms look the same way they did eight years ago And the wear and tear is really showing. The staff was great, however, the hotel is understaffed. Where the food used to be incredible, it’s mediocre at best now. This hotel is in a great area and the staff were tops, but as someone who saw this place in its prime, it’s just not what it was. It’s safe and perhaps a clean room is all one asks for, but knowing what this hotel use to be left me sad and needing to reflect it in my review.

Hotel Indigo is possibility the perfect quintessential London hotel, updated with every modern comfort a traveler would need or want. Great location in Earl's Court across the street from the Piccadilly line (think airport and central London easy access). Wonderful, welcoming, genuinely hospitable staff. Spacious, quiet, beautifully decorated rooms with a great bed, mini-frig, hot pot, iron, large TV, even robes and slippers. Rain shower and very nice bath products. The site has a breakfast buffet, restaurant, and bar open late. Fast Wi-Fi. Hotel Indigo is going to be my go-to pied-de-terre anytime I am in London.

Our room on the second floor was quiet, comfortable and well maintained. Despite it being a heatwave when we arrived the room was cool and relaxing with good air con and we appreciated the daily water and the refrigerator. The breakfasts were amazing and staff were friendly and helpful. Earls Court station was 5 minutes walk and it was a breeze to navigate to all the tourist hot spots. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is very close to the Earl's Court Tube station which was super convenient. We were able to travel from the airport (Heathrow) right to our tube stop and hotel.
The hotel itself was clean, safe, and very close to two very good pubs. The breakfast was European with options for a hot breakfast too.

The breakfast options were excellent. Fresh meats cheeses pastries and also the option to choose a hot entree from the breakfast menu. The hotel is about a 3 minute walk to the Tube station. Grocery store right on the corner along with a large selection of restaurants within walking distance. The staff are very friendly. We stayed here for 6 nights in July and would highly recommend Hotel Indigo.

Fabulous breakfast and wonderful, attentive staff. Offered a selection of customized hot breakfast foods made to order. Also had a buffet style offering of fresh fruit, breads, meats, cereals, cheese and pastries. Service was fast at the time we went each morning (7:15). The property was in a great, quiet location close to many amenities. Earl's Court tube station is a very short walk away. The room was clean, cozy and comfortable. Great sized shower and bathroom. The only very minor drawback was with four people there was nowhere to put or hang wet towels to dry. We would absolutely stay here again.

From check in to check out this hotel was wonderful. Staff was great and friendly- hotel bar and restaurant was fantastic. Loved the room. Perfect location.

We were assigned a premier room, which was located in the basement. It was apparent that flooding had occurred at some point as baseboards and the flooring was warped. In addition, the basement room was substantially warmer than the rest of the hotel. Even though we had a thermostat in our room, we were not able to change the temperature as it was centrally controlled. When we informed the front desk that our room was not cooling to the temperature that was centrally set, they said they would have someone come take a look at it. On the third night of this, they finally delivered a fan to our room. The location was very close to an underground station. The service in the restaurant was very good.

The complimentary breakfast is far superior to the continental breakfast we get in US hotels. The receptionist welcomes you and ushers you to your table. Then you place your order of hot beverage and hot dish with the waitress and that includes eggs bacon hash brown fried cheese sweet beans and fried mushrooms. Also you can have pancakes but they were not great. Aside from ordering, you also have access to the buffet which has a delicious selection of cheeses cold cuts fruits and fresh pastries, all of a superior quality of what we are used to in the states.
The hotel was very quiet considering that it was fully booked during our stay. Our room was very clean. It is obvious that our room was old and the staff told us that now that they have renovated the lobby area, soon they will start renovating the rooms. All in all we are very satisfied with our stay and the service we got from the whole staff. Thank you all for making our stay more enjoyable.

Very nice hotel but they need to fix the ac.

Lovely rooms. Unfortunately, the air con system did not work well. We were moved to a lower floor and it was much better. But our daughter and 2 grands on the third floor found it very hot. Great hotel otherwise. Wonderful location.
