Extremely hot because room was way overheated in March. Very noisy in the morning with workmen in the room above me.
Room wasn’t well cleaned.. dirty socks left under the chair. The lighting system was not user friendly. The room looked nice enough but there were a lot of impediments to good sleep.

Bathroom rubbish. Mirror hanging off the wall. Had to climb in the bath to put the plug in - poorly designed. Plug broke and unable to enjoy a bath as water flowing through - reported to staff.
Hairs in the bath.
Staff not friendly - not friendly on check in our check out. No apology for room malfunctions.
Bedroom nicely decorated but tv on side wall. Unable to watch in bed.
No sound on certain channels - no sound on bbc1
Would not recommend, much nicer hotels same area for same price.

I read a lot of negative reviews online about this hotel after booking and it made me really nervous but I’m pleased to report there were no rats as reported the money deposit was in my account before I go on the train home the staff whilst at times were blunt were also very helpful with what I asked of them the hotel was clean and modern the bathroom even had heated flooring I was in the smallest room available which was a single bed room but there was still enough room to move around and was typical of a single room in any British hotel I’ve stayed in. The location was amazing in the beautiful Earl’s Court and the station was only a couple of minutes walk round the corner I write this to ease the mind of future visitors I would 100% visit again. Great value for money in a beautiful London hotel.

My absolute only discrimination would be that in my particular room they could’ve hoovered up a bit better and under the bed wasn’t hoovered at all but again for £50-60 a night in a London hotel which is very modern and in a great location I am overwhelmed with value for my money.

I paid for an executive suite as a Christmas present my daughter, room 109. It was very disappointing to have a view of drain pipes and the sound of flushing toilets from other rooms. There was also a dripping sound from the bathroom constantly which kept us awake all night. We were then woken at 8am by housekeeping hoovering outside the door. I told reception on our checking out and he thanked me for letting them know and said he would send maintenance. He never apologized. It was a very disappointing experience and I would like an apology.

Stayed at this hotel 3 times now. We like the convenient location the staff have always been lovely. It’s not the ritz but it’s clean and tidy and modern do the price you pay!
This time however I was disappointed, we always just book a standard double room and they’ve always been lovely. This time we decided to book a “deluxe” double for a little bit extra and honestly it was worse than the “standard” rooms. We were in a ground floor room at the back of the hotel, with a view of someone else’s room. The room was tiny. The only thing that was deluxe was the size of the bathroom as it had a bath instead of just a stand alone shower. In honesty paying extra for the “deluxe” room was a mistake. The bedside table was hanging off the wall, the room was so small there was nowhere to put your bags/luggage so we were just tripping over everything.
Not sure I would book here again after this disappointing trip.

Rooms are very small. Could not get 2 suitcases in room without having to move them into bathroom at night and then work around to use bathroom.. Good location clise to EatlCourt station
. Adequate but note for two people with bags. 50/50 if I would stay there again and definitely only if travelling alone.

I stayed for 6 nights in the deluxe single room. As expected, the room was small but had all the essentials and was very clean. I especially loved the bathroom for its large shower and heated floors. Housekeeping came every day, cleaned the room, and replaced towels and toiletries. It was also conveniently located 2-3 minute walk from Earls Court Underground station. I will definitely recommend and stay here again for my future London travels.

Absolutely fantastic hotel for the money. We actually couldn’t believe it!
Rooms are perfect, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The shower is extremely powerful which made it was hard coming back to my old house in South Devon with sub-par water pressure!
We were room-only so can’t comment on the breakfast but with the standard of everything else I’m sure it would be lovely.
We will be back ant this hotel again when we next need to come to London!

The check-in staff was friendly, courteous and accommodating.

The room was spotless and bath amenities were generous; bathroom is a bit small, however, the heated floors compensated for the limited space.

The hotel is centrally located and is near the Earl's Court Tube (train station) There are several small shops, cafe's, bars and restaurants in the area, as well as currency exchange. Be sure to check the exchange rate online because not everyone offered the same rate. The offerings were as low as £54 and as high as £74 for $100 U.S.

Overall, the hotel and area are great!

Terrible experience the hotel is dated and smelly
The elevator wasn’t working and no one offered to help with the luggage to carry upstairs on a long narrow steps not considering our age. Didn’t inform us or give any information on where we go for breakfast or if there is any brochures for excursions. The reception is in a different building. Basically we were on our own.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. This hotel has good reviews but be ware this hotel is listed under different name with terrible reviews. Way overpriced

We did have to ask for housekeeping service once when ..they evidently forgot. But reception immediately called and remedied it. Electric tea kettle malfunctioned…overheated and failed to turn off but they replaced it immediately when we told them. I asked for a fresh water bottle in the room each day (we stayed 4 nights), but they said they only provide that on first day, which seemed odd. The mattress was extremely firm…think “floor with a rug”.

Contrary to some reviews we found the Merit Kensington to be absolutely fine. I have no negative feedback at all. The rooms were clean and tea/coffee and toiletries replenished every day. All the staff were very friendly from housekeeping to reception and the breakfast room . Breakfast was excellent.The hotel is very close to Earls Courttube and it’s very easy to get around fro m there . The £100 security deposit was never actually taken from my bank,it was just pending all week and was cancelled on Friday as soon as we checked out. Would definitely recommend and stay again

My room was not huge. The price was not huge!!! But it, and the hallways, etc, had been recently given what must have been nearly a complete rebuild. Fixtures, fittings, etc, modern and good. \"Smart\" lighting out smarted me a bit, but was very nice, if not quite able to understand what I wanted. It \"worked\" perfectly ADEQUATELY though.
Not a lot of frills, but a nice waiting area near reception for meeting friends. 24 hour front desk. I'd stay again. Didn't eat in, but would expect it was nice. Suspect, but forgot to look, that there's a nice garden out back to relax in.

The shower faucet was broken and the shower glass seal had come away, meaning every time we ran a shower the floor would flood and we’d have to hold the faucet in place. Very tight squeeze with not a lot of space between the bed and the walls. Other than that, great location (right next to Tube Line) & staff were awesome!

Overall, I would highly recommend this location. [Just a note though that this hotel is NOT wheelchair accessible as there are stairs that are unavoidable.]

Overall a good hotel but the room we were given was on the basement level next to the cleaners entrance and cupboards. This meant there was a lot of noise in the morning whilst the cleaners were arriving and gathering their cleaning kit. Also the lift on the other side of the room was noisy whilst in use so not the most relaxing of experiences.

Important: The bathroom door in my single bedroom did NOT close into the doorframe. Didn’t bother me that much because I was alone but don’t book if you’re traveling with others.

Other cons: Bottom floor (-1) had odd smell. No natural light options because curtains can’t be pulled back and the view outside is a bunch of dirt and junk. The room was uncomfortably cold. The room guide mentioned the bathroom floors cojld be heated, but the thermostat outside the bathroom did not work. Room service entered when I was gone without me knowing which was odd. Should have left a note or gave me a heads up. Dropped off my luggage and after checking in, had to go back to the main building and drag it myself to my room.

Pros: Great proximity to Earls Court Station which is about 2 minute walk away. Pret a manger, Burger King, Starbucks, and other food options are nearby along with a Boots Pharmacy that makes grabbing food and items very convenient. Exterior looks great. Bathroom had a nice luxurious, clean look.

The room was clean and comfortable, but this year I had issues with the air conditioner I never got resolved and the refrigerator didn’t work. Some days the housekeeping left a bit to be desired (no clean coffee cup, one day it was not done at all). Also, as a single woman, I wasn’t happy being placed on the ground floor, right next to the elevator, things that I wish the hotel would consider for the safety of their guests.

This hotel room is extremely small. You could barely walk down the sides of the bed squeeze into a very tight bathroom and you couldn’t even sit on the chair really to use the laptop. The desk was so small. I don’t even know how they get to use this as a room to charge near £100 for and blood on the duvet cover and really noisy at night. This place is barely the size of my laundry cupboard at home.

Bad- we got there after a long day of walking in 30 degree heat, the reception was in 1 building, so the gentleman gave us key for another building so took the heavy case didn't ask if i wanted any help. Went to try and get in the building but it didnt fit but the gentleman wanted us to go to him!!!! Eventually he came but he didnt offer to carry the case as the room was actually in a 3rd building! The room was really small and if you wanted to go to the toilet you had to leave the door open as it was too small 😒. Our next issue was the drug taking openly 5 doors down. I would definitely not stay here again. Also if your a fan of tea/coffee beware of asking for more as they ask for your room number.

This is a hotel that houses travelers on tours primarily. The rooms are compact, but modern, clean, and quiet. Make sure that you get a room where the air conditioning works. They booked me in a room on a five nights stay where the air air-conditioning did not work. I had to vehemently complain, but finally they changed my room after two nights. Not the most attentive front desk/reception.

Located close to the high street and Earl’s Court train station. Lots of options for restaurants and fast food. Room was clean however very narrow and small. Bathroom door does not close fully. If staying here, ask for a room not on the lower ground level as you can hear the footsteps/any noise from floor above and loud noises from housekeeping starting their day in the morning (it’s impossible to sleep in, be prepared to be woken up early).
