Stay away... Disgusting place wouldn't class it as a hotel. Bed sheet dirty found a bug. Bathroom dirty and sour smell in the room. But worse than that unsafe. Loose electric sockets bare light fittings. Was only in the room 20 mins and checked out. Told the receptionist and was offered no refund or help

At check-in, I was shown a sample room. However, the room I was assigned is located at the end of the corridor, outside the main rooms. It appears to be a former storage or technical area that has been converted into a room in the basement facility. The room is Room 16 and is extremely small—approximately the size of a disabled toilet that has been converted into a bedroom.
I asked whether any other rooms were available, but I was informed that I had to accept this one. The situation felt unusual. During check-in, the receptionist also asked several personal questions about where I come from, despite already having my ID. This raised concerns for me regarding privacy and professionalism.

Wow, I knew the room could be great for £38 a night, but ye Gods.

I expect at least clean.

Firstly, the room sold was a lie. It was not the room shown. It was instead an outside room by the back gate. Shook. It stank to high heavy of some chemical mixed with filth. The teeny en suite was pure filth. Never cleaned. The sink was built into the toilet. Where you flush? A corroded filthy mini sink

The bed was a put-you-up, rattled, creaked and stank. It was near collapse every move I dared make.

I escaped at 6am totally knackered and from the horrific noise.

It was overall a good stay. Slept amazingly good in these beds. It was a little small and some of the work done on the rooms seems like work done in a hurry. But the room was clean.

Roughing it indoors!

This \"hotel\" was little more than a youth hostel. I chose it for the excellent location. I spent the better part of an hour waiting for them to locate my reservation. The subterranean room was cold most of the time. All of the fire doors were propped open giving me far too much fresh air. even though I was traveling solo, I opted for the \"triple\" because I find twin beds too small. Being a \"triple,\" there was no useful floor space. The TV didn't work. A wake-up call was unthinkable. Dust mites in the pillows,...The shared toilet room was tiny. Never again!

The room had been painted the night before which gave me a huge headache and made my eyes water within 5 mins. They changed my room for this night but told me they would put me back in the toxic room the following. When I told them I would not go back to this room they told me they would put my belongings back in the toxic room while I was away without my say so. Of course I booked out the next day and they will not give me a refund. Please avoid!

Basic and Cheap.

A very basic hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, tea and coffee making facilities are communal as there is no facilities in the room. Luke warm water from the shower, but had plenty of hot in the sink tap. To ensure your room door stays shut you need to lock it. The bed was comfortable and clean. We wanted something cheap where we could crash out for the night and we got what we paid for.

Very small room with double beds. The toilet and bathroom sink were one unit so you have to reach over the toilet to use the sink, very uncomfortable for a short person to be able to wash hands or brush teeth.

If you want a cheap stay in London, this is it! This hotel is steps away from Earls Court station.
Our room sleeps four people. It has a bathroom (with shower, toilet and sink). However, the water drip from the shower was close to nothing. You have to blend the hot and cold water coming out from the sink.
There’s a small corner from the check-in desk where you can make tea/coffee.
A lot of backpackers stay here.
So, if you want a bed, shower and no frills hotel, this is the place!

My one night stay

Room as nice and clean but I could hear noises from other room and no tea/coffee facility in the room which was very inconvenient. Also the shower didn't have a good rack for soap and shampoo soap kept on falling on floor. The cubicle was also small.

I don’t even know where to start. Good location, that is it! I expected cheap and cheerful, what I got was cheap, unsafe, noisy and dirty. First room myself and 3 kids were put in was in the basement, skylight had been left open so room was full of flies, rodent box in the hallway, tv was broken, complained, was told would come and have a look, while waiting we discovered the toilet was leaking so the tiny bathroom floor was soaked, complained (was made out to be a liar) wanting a refund to move us to somewhere else, was told no refunds and that he would see what he could do. Moved us upstairs to a bigger room (still small) and charged me £15, as to not risk being on the streets of London with 3 kids, I payed and moved upstairs. Better? No not really, incredibly outdated, bedroom window wouldn’t close, bathroom door wouldn’t close, but atleast no leaking toilet this time. Room smelt of cigarettes either from outside due to window not being able to close or from the room next door which is likely the case, running water could be heard for most of the night, as well as outside traffic due to the window being open. We had to bring all our valuables with us as the door was so rickety we felt our belongings were at risk of being stolen. Do not stay here! I blame myself for not doing my research, but I also don’t expect to see guest house paridiso esk hotels on Expedia recommended for families. Lesson learnt, will not be returning

i dont usually give reviews even when i am not happy because i dont have time for all this but this one force me. if there was one two or three issues, i would taken time and mentioned it because they are countless. i am just going to say this

only book this one if the other option is to sleep on road. i paid high price for two nights and left after one night.....

If you’re looking for a cheap spot in London near the city please don’t book here. Was not worth the price tag. Promoted free breakfast lied about that. Super small room with just 2 beds. No microwave or fridge. Beds weren’t comfortable.

If you have v.low standards, this place is for you

Smallest quadruple room I have ever stayed in. There were only just enough room for two small doulde beds. The radiator was cold (which was fine) but was leaking which made the carpet wet in the only spare space in the room and made the room smell damp & musty. (Pictures). I told the man at reception, he turned up later with 2 screwdrivers, towels and an electrical heater and plugged it in...electrical appliance on wet carpet. Not very clever. I put the heater back in the corridor. When we came back later that night, the radiator was on at its highest possible temperature and made the room like a sauna & unbearable. The thermostat on the radiator was snapped off so could not be changed.
The bed was comfy & clean bedding but had a wheel missing so was leaning to one side. Loose wires came out of the wall by the side of the bed where the children slept.
A tv where you had to move the plug in aerial antenna just to get a picture.
The bathroom had black hairs on the floor (not ours) and wasn't very clean. The towel rail and sink shelf were rusty. The sink was the size of a small bowl. The door was hanging off its hinges & would not open and close without lifting the door up.
When it came for us to check out, there was no one at the reception desk. I waited for 5-10mins to hand the key in and to talk to someone about the room but no one showed up. Perhaps that is their plan so you can't complain to them!!!
The only positive from our stay was when we left.

Very good value, enjoyable one night stay.

It is gratyfing to know that there is such a huge range of hotels in London - most of us would love to experience the best (usually the most expensive ones!) but due to financial considerations we find ourselves confined to the lower end of hotel provisions. That said, a one night stay can still be very enjoyable not to mention extremely good value - provided that the basic expectations are met. I have to say that Hotel Earls Court not just met our expectations but exceeded them. Being able to check in at 13:00 was most welcome. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Our room (No 22) was exactly as per picture and did not disappoint - it was clean, the bed was very comfortable with lovely sheets and I could not praise the quality of the towels enough - better than in many a hotel we had stayed in. The bathroom was rather small but we welcomed the washbasin positioned in the room. The shower basin was clean and spacious and there was plenty of hot water. The radiators provided more heating than we are used to so we had to switch them off. We made use of tea and coffee making facilities available for residents' use located in a separate room. Good quality double glazing cut out the traffic noise quite considerably enabling us to have a very good rest. Finally, the rainy morning made us appreciate the hotel's location - hardly any distance from the tube station meant we did not get wet. All in all we could not have chosen a better budget hotel for our one night stay.

Good for one-night stays. We stayed in one of the bigger rooms for just one night. As written in some of the other reviews, there are some elements of the property that require upgrading (it's a very old facility). However, the beds are comfortable and the workers are so increadibly kind. For short term stays I think it's great.

Near subway, near shops and restaurants, friendly staff..
Water from the shower is too little, cannot give more though u opened it fully. Water temperature is difficult to adjust. Water is hot at first then suddenly gives you very cold water without touching it. No toothbrush nor toothpaste nor soap. U can hear footsteps from outside.

On arrival to the property there wasn't anyone in reception waited for half hour for someone in reception finally after numerous phone calls someone checked me in got room with own bathroom room was clean that probably was only thing what was good thing tv was broken beding was awful pillows was so paper thin blanket was worn out hardly covered you In freezing cold room after hardly any sleep in cold room was time to shower
Bathroom was small with broken shower curtains and pieces of tiles falling of toiletries was cheap quality and imposible to open complete nightmare wouldn't stay there again or recommend to anyone else

You get what you pay for. A place to rest head

Pros: very good service from staff when arrived. Provided with useful information about check in, local amenities
and hotel services, very considerate with handling my luggage to the room for me.
Clean bedding and soft pillows / mattress.
Good location for tube and shops
Cons: you get what you pay for. Cheap for a reason.
I was meant to stay with my friend, who cancelled which i was thankful for because the size of the room was small even for solo use (to be fair I understand this could have been a decision by staff on my arrival and might have been assigned a different room if my friend had arrived with me.) Overall it was run down needing some TLC. The wallpaper was grubby and things hanging off the wall, stains ingrained on the chair and the furniture damaged.
It was noisy. I stayed in the room behind reception and constantly heard doors banging heavily, conversations with guests and staff loudly on the phone.
I was informed that reception was a 24hour service and when I came to check out at 5am, there were no signs of life. Windows closed and lights off. I tried to open the window to leave my key in a secure place and heard a noise which gave me the impression I’d woken a member of staff who could have been sleeping on the floor out sight - and my “interruption” was not received well and quite curt with me, which sadly left me feeling upset when I left.

Horrendous migrant homeless hostel

This is not a hotel. It’s a hostel for homeless people and migrants. I was in the basement. Outside part of the hotel. Homeless lady had a room next me who was smoking. Migrant men smoking at 5am. So much noise. No window. Light coming through glass top of door. Hot water could not be adjusted in the shower. Bed mattress was dirty. Horrible place

I think this property is manipulative. There are things that were not shown on the app so that guest could read and make informed decision. I travel a lot and use hotels lie abd high but this the worst I’ve ever stayed in. From sanitary problems to epileptic internet. Smelling rooms to poor shower regulation. Shower is all or none. It’s either hot water or cold water. It is simply not worth the pay.

Do not book this place. I booke a double room. The room we got was litterally just one 120 cm bed, and we were two. Room was very hot (normal for the summer) but being cramped into a very small room (10sqm) with a 120 bed it got very bad. We tried staying out as much as possible since sleeping wasn't very ideal. Hotel confirmed so many things beforehand to us but when arriving they haven't done any of the adjustment when asked for it. George in the reception is very sweet. But i would not recommend staying here for more than one night at least. No compensation allowed also after our visit which is not nice considering what we booked and what we got

The service was good. However, the room temperature was uncomfortably high. Even though we opened the windows, we couldn't sleep well due to the warm temperature in the room and the noise that came from opening the windows. An air cooler tower fan or some type of fan in the room would have helped.

There is a reason this place posts in BOLD letters that they do not offer refunds. If you are reading this, please literally almost anywhere else.

Everything is bad. Matress? bad. Sheets? dirty? shower? not working, cold and dirty. Breakfast? You'll puke.

We ended up going to another hotel around the same price and it's a world of a difference.

I booked it because it was cheap. I knew it was a 2 star guest house so I wasn't expecting the Ritz.

Yes it looks a bit run down and you won't find any marble in your bathroom, but the bed sheets were clean the bed was ok and the toilet and shower were functional. It is also literally 1 min walk to Earls Court underground. The walls are a bit thin so you do tend to hear your neighbours but it didn't stop me sleeping. Would I take the wife there, no, but for as a cheap overnight stop for work it is fine

The rooms are outdated and needs renovating. Soundproofing would be nice too as I could hear every word of every conversation of the people in the next room. I stayed on the first floor and the communal bathroom for the floor was disgusting after some people left it. Luckily it was cleaned every morning. I tried to shower on 3 occasions and every time the water didn’t get hot - I gave up. The shower head wouldn’t stay in the holder, kept falling off. The sink both in the bathroom and in the room were blocked, and would block every time you ran the water. The wifi would slow down when someone else tried to use it, so getting a new router and unlimited wifi would be nice. The free breakfast was just cold toast, juice, and coffee or tea. For the price and the location, it’s okay, but a girl needs a shower!

I love the location and it’s so close to the metro. I liked that I can go back to the hotel, recharge, and get back to being a tourist. It is pretty small, but there’s hot water in the shower! However, it could get pretty noisy, if you can sleep through noise, this is your place.

The room was a single when we booked a double, the shower and toilet were half done in a cupboard that you could barely fit in. Dirty sheets and towels, when we asked for a double (and clean) duvet we were given a fleece shoved in a cover. Heater didn’t work. We had to leave.

This hotel is a minute walk from the Tube which means it is a perfect base for tourists.
It is basic but clean and all staff were very friendly and helpful.

As the saying goes “you get what you pay for”! Pleasant greeting but down hill from then on. Small, cramped noisy room on the very busy road. Dirty surfaces, broken shelves and stained bedding. Breakfast was a take or leave it, cold toast and a cold hard boiled egg. One good point - it was very convenient for Earl’s Court tube!

Convenient location but wouldn’t stay again

Cons:
-Walls were very thin so between the traffic outside and the other hotels rooms it was pretty noisy overnight
-Room was very dated, bathroom had an unpleasant damp smell, shower struggled to even reach lukewarm
-Breakfast serving didn’t start until 8am, rendering it useless for anyone with an early start

This is an old fashioned outdated hotel. The room was clean but old/ broken tiles/rusty radiator. Beds were fine and clean. Tv in the room was a bonus. Breakfast was simple but a nice addition. The owners can't do enough to help/ accommodate you.
Good location. 200m from tube station. Lovely people

Problem with booking when I arrived. Room too hot.

When I arrived at reception my online booking was not recognised. Took a phone call to the hotel manager to sort it out. The room I was given was too hot. Apparently the staff had left the radiator on all day. Felt sweltering and took hours for the room to cool down even with the window left wide open and the radiator turned off.

Just the basic room delivered by a pleasant staff

It is hard to be excited by a two star hotel, but Earls Court did fine by me. Hard to navigate stairs, no air conditioning, and a flow controled shower might get to some, but it did include breakfast, had clean rooms, and the staff was friendly. The fan on the bedside table did an adequate job cooling.

Unpleasant stay

Was convenient to the tube but hotel was way too tight and beds were really old. Very close to the roads, traffic noise was quite loud. Toilet was wayyyyy too small and water pressure was not good. Breakfast choices was poor and workers weren't friendly

Does the job it needs too

Very basic and minimal, rooms do not look that nice and are very small but is ok if you just using to sleep in and not be in there long.
Breakfast is toast or cereal in the mornings free of charge.

Value for money hotel in London

Good location. Only two mins walks from Earl's court station. Clean room and helpful staff. Simple and healthy breakfast. A very good choice for budget B & B in London.

TV did not work. One bathroom light (above sink) did not work. Beds were not comfortable, and pillows were awful. However, it was clean, and adequate, but no better.

Cheap, cheerful and great location!

Very cheap and cheerful. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming and the room was a decent size. Might need a little spruce up as the fixtures were slightly broken but nothing awful. The pipes need looked at, made an awful noise when we would turn on the taps and the water pressure in the shower was pretty bad. A kettle and some tea & coffee in the room would have been ideal after a long day also. Overall a good place to stay.

Solo visit for R.W.C.

I was visitingLondon for the Rugby World Cup Final at Twickenham. My first visit back to London for about twenty years, so was delighted to have found a friendly hotel. Not luxurious, but clean and comfortable.

3 night tourist visit.

Room was clean and comfortable. Location was bang on. Earl's Court tube station was 50 yards from hotel so easy to get around the city. Room was cleaned every day and we were given clean towels after 2 nights. Beds were small but comfortable. Breakfast was simple (cornflakes, toast, boiled egg and tea or coffee) Shower head needed replaced and a kettle would have been a wonderful addition. If you are looking for somewhere cheap and cheerful with easy access to a tube station then this is the place.

Okay for price in London

Generally okay for working trip, annoyed that there was no kettle and stuff in room and Wifi signal was poor, could not use it to watch TV on Amazon.
