From a price point in the centre of London, the room was extremely cheap. But it was also extremely tired from a decoration perspective. The walls were very grubby with paper coming away from the walls and flooring lifting. Neither the room or the bathroom were spotless. However, I paid £57 for the room and £27 for the parking space at the hotel for 24 hours. I didn’t feel I wanted to make use of the coffee facility in the room. But the cost included adequate WiFi and a tv. Overall a place to put my head down for a night and parking for £84. Adequate.

Room was precarious and definitely not the one advertised under which booking was made. I've asked the reception to get the specified room in question and he refused pretexting the 4th floor is not for customers. Amusingly enough, as I have been booked on many occasions on that very floor, I knew he was lying.

The room I ended up was dirty, not cleaned The smell of the previous occupants was still there ( cigarettes) , a non-functional heating , windows not closing properly. Only one light out of 5 working.

Hygine in this place is non existent, mould on shower curtains, walls, celings pretty much everywhere.

Everything is dirty

Outdated amenities and the hair dryer was a danger to use.

The staff invited others guests into my room even though they knew i was staying for 2 nights. No apology.

Should have checked the reveiws beforehand

Absolutely disgusting! Bed was infested with bed bugs! Room was filthy and not fit for purpose! I checked out and asked for a refund. The front desk seemed unfazed about the bedbugs and told me to refer to hotels.com for a refund but they refused to answer the phone to hotels.com and a refund has not been issued! Disgraceful!

Lifts were seriously in need of a service or upgrade, area downstairs nesr the toilets was full of laundry bags, toilets stunk and were filthy, urinals were covered with bin bags

Can safely say would never stay there again

Let's start this review with the good parts, you get a room.

Now onto the rest of it. This review is purely based on what we experienced in common areas and our room '203' which was a twin room.

1) One of the elevators was out of order, and the other was so small you would be able to fit 2 people max without luggage

2) Didn't take the elevator cause of point 1 so walked the stairs to the 2nd floor, and the stairwell smelt incredibly fusty, like it hadn't been cleaned in ages.

3) Got to the room which had a tiny bathroom, covered in black mould with the toilet seat incredibly loose such that when I sat down on it without knowing this, I almost fell off.

4) Poorly kept room with stains on the wall, areas that need filling, a broken mirror with stickers on it, and a broken window. There is also no bin in the room, so if you were to have a drink, or snacks then good luck finding somewhere to put the rubbish after.

5) Terrible mattresses such that when I laid down on it there was no support, and with it having a metal frame underneath, I felt the entire bed frame all night. The other bed was better, but same situation with the mattress, was just lucky it was on a divan base.

Needless to say, I will never stay here again, and would not recommend to anyone. But, think it will look good when it's finished.

There were bedbugs in my bed. Once the room was changed, the new room was dirty, the sockets were falling out of the wall, the bathroom had black mould on the ceiling and shower curtain. It was disgusting. I didn’t stay. I felt unsafe. The smoke detector on the corridor was unplugged. This place shouldn't operate.

I understand this was a budget room but it was a hovel. The place was filthy. We had bed bugs on one of the beds. Bathroom was filthy dirty and the door was totally broken. Cracked tiles in the bathroom and just plain disgusting. Half the lights didn’t work. Floor was dirty. Curtains dirty. Room needed a new coat of paint. You could smell marujuana on the lobby floor. Pictures on website totally misleading. TV didn’t work. Even if this is a budget hotel you deserve to have a clean room. Do not recommend this hotel at all.

Excellent cheap London hotel

I have stayed at Hotel Lily many times since the days when the Earls Court exhibition centre was at its busiest. The exhibition centre has long gone but Hotel Lily remains. It has always been legendary in its simplicity and grubbiness. It has appeal for a good location, a Tetris style car park and zero frills. It used to have a good basic breakfast and the car park was free to hotel users. There is no breakfast and the car park needs paying for (about £24 for a day). Don’t get me wrong we like Hotel Lily, but don’t book here and criticise the tired rooms. The bed and toilet were clean so there is some basic facilities. There was coffee sachets, milk and teabags (no kettle) and two small bars of soap (no shower gel or shampoo). Best of all there was a bath. All in all it is a gem that locals know of, which may one day get a fabulous clean and refurb. For now appreciate it is cheap and okay for a one night stay. No space to swing a cat, but fortunately cats are not allowed.

This one is an utter disgrace - how you can promote this on your website I do not know. You should hang your heads in shame.

Filthy, dilapidated, no services, old beer cans in the room, the shower was like a fine drizzle on a murky Monday in January.

I paid over $700 for this stay and was extremely disappointed. The bathroom was dirty with a moldy shower curtain, the toilet tank cover was missing, and the window was broken and wouldn’t close. The room looked nothing like the photos online. I was later switched to a different room, but it was too late — I already had insect bites on my skin. I reported these issues to the front desk and was told “someone will come,” but no one ever did. For the price I paid, this is completely unacceptable. The hotel is poorly maintained, and I believe a partial or full refund is warranted given the unsanitary conditions, insect bites, and lack of proper response. I definitely won’t stay here again or recommend this property.

Staff was not able to find reservation on Expedia, or was not in their (the Hotel's) system. Waited at front desk at 12:30am for 30 min for staff to try and find the reservation and could not. Gave us a room but it was very inconvenient as there should be no system issues that prevent something that happens daily. We even showed him our reservation email from Expedia.

The next day we spoke to a manager and he seemed very un-informed as well. Not sure how we can book a hotel on Expedia and the hotel not have the reservation in their system. Seems a potential large problem.

Overall the property was enough to sleep in but not well kept, and staff was rude and not helpful. They do not provide soap or shampoo even when asked.

The absolute only good thing is that its close to where we were going to in London...Stamford Bridge. Outside of that, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The window in our room was broken which meant it was very noisy as it wouldn’t shut properly, the sink leaked, the tap wouldn’t stop running and the toilet seat was broken. We had a knife instead of a spoon with the tea making facilities. We had a room next to the lift which meant the noise was excessive from the lift door when it closed.

They did replenish toilet rolls and towels and give us extra tea bags when asked. The bed was comfy. The price was good too and location for tube was excellent.

Where do I begin? First of all, let's take that one star away as this hotel doesn't even deserve that!

The car parking is atrocious. Unless you have an original Mini Copper, you won't fit in the spaces.

Now for the room.

There were doors hanging off the hinges, grease stains all along the walls and floors. Pillows were wafer thin (one pillow per bed).

The smell was unbearable and we were bitten by mites/ fleas within the first minute of entering the room.

We didn't dare touch anything in the room for fear of succumbing to major illness.

For the pièce de résistance: human ejaculacte covering the curtains.

When we arrived they gave us a riom that had nit been cleaned. After complaining we were put in another room. This room wasn't great either. There is mold in the bathroom and in the vent, the bath had nit been cleaned , there is marks all over the walls and we kept finding hair everywhere. Needless to say, we are very disappointed with our stay.

The only good to say is about the location, good connection by bus, 15 minutes to Natural History Museum and others.
The hotel is old, dirty walls, carpets, and beds with mattress in bad condition. The toilet had rusty bath, broken tiles and a hole in the wall.
Two lifts, but one out of order and the other one with sticky paper in a couple of buttons.
We will not recomend, because is not expensive but it is a not memorable at all.

Unfortunately the price didn’t match the quality of the room. The lift has clearly not been serviced in a very long time. Duck tape over some of the buttons really summed it up. The room itself was small and unclean. The bathroom specifically was covered in dirt. I went to use a mug in the room and it still had tea stains on it so had clearly not been cleaned. The walls were very thin so you could hear all the other visitors.

However, convenient location. Bars and restaurants within metres. Empress Museum (which we were visiting) is a stones throw away. Parking great - big spaces. Beds were surprisingly comfy.

In addition the door to our room was almost impossible to open due to the floor catching the bottom of the door, I had to force it to get inside the room. HORRIFYING. Pick any hotel but this one (I recommend the Mowbray Court Hotel in the same area). The room was nasty. I doubt they even clean the room in between stays. There is dust all over, semen stains on the curtains, no sheets in the bed whatsoever, the walls, bed and mattress were full of stains, big oil stain and burnt holes in the headboard of the bed, there is a kettle but it was filled with yellow moldy water when i got there. Could not sleep as it gets extremely hot and could hear the people next doors procreating all night. Stay away from this place.

Terrible. Nothing like the pictures, it was dirty. Don't bear footed in the room, my son found rubbish around his day that wasn’t ours. The shower holder was so low, most people could only wash their waist down. The shower curtain and beds were a new level of stained and grim. The window didnt close and toilet seat was sat next to the toilet broken.
The beds were a mixture of incredibly hard and incredibly soft. None of them were comfortable and follows were near non existant.
Definitely not worth the money, I have stayed in significantly better hostels. I wish I had taken photos.

We left early due to safety concerns.
We stayed at Hotel Lily with our children and checked out early after a very disturbing incident. Around 6:10 a.m., the fire alarm was pulled. In the lobby, we encountered a woman calling for help. Her partner appeared to have been assaulted, and she claimed that the hotel had allowed a group of men into her room. She said those men attacked her partner and pulled the fire alarm as they left.
This was incredibly unsettling, especially while traveling with children. We no longer felt comfortable staying and chose to leave. The hotel staff did not offer any clear communication or support during the situation. I would not recommend this hotel for families or anyone concerned about basic guest safety.

A place just to sleep and thats it? Sure. Everything else. Pretty bad tbh. A really rundown hotel that feels and looks like it needs a complete renovation.
Had to sleep with the windows open as it was so warm. Then had the traffic noise to tend with or sweat with the humidity of the room.
Toilet had to wait ages to refill after a flush. Sink backed up twice. Stinked up the room. Only two plug sockets. One was bad.
Had to ask for more towels after a full day without any new ones.
The elevators : one was broken, the other was tiny and awkward. Barely fit two people and two bags. The hallway doors were heavy, noisy and cumbersome to move open and squeeze through. Not good for the elderly.
The bathroom was grubby and the room floor, I wouldnt walk around in my bare feet without feeling to wash em afterwards.
Had a fire alarm wake us at 6:40 am. Everything was confusing to do. No headcount or assurances. Guy at desk was at a loss what to do.

The place was more like a hostel then a hotel. Lift was old and tape over the buttons for some reason. Dirty everywhere apart from the reception.
The public toilet on in the basement was terrible. Reception staff were ok but anyone else looked at you like dirt.
Its cheap. That is the only reason to stay. I would never take kids there.

This place was absolutely horrendous, the pictures they advertised are not the rooms you end up with.

The first room was dirty the bathroom door had no lock on it nor did it close plus it had mold in the corner of the door and wall , floor was not put together properly either and it was hotter in the room than on a hot July day outside when the upgraded me to the next room the only improvement was they had a chair in the room and the bathroom door closed but the light didn’t work , don’t waste your money coming here, save it and sleep on. The dirty mattresses outside the hotel as you’ll be cooler and probably safer if I could give this place zero stars I would but the app won’t let me

The hotel is really sort of dreadful. No ac and open window means lots of noise and light all night. The rooms are dilapidated, tiny, hot, and grimy. The hallways are absolutely filthy with mouldering towels, garbage, and odors. There was a discarded a water bottle partially filled with what I’m assuming was urine that sat in the corner of one hallway all week. The walls are paper thin, 1/2 the light don’t work and there is not hotel safe in the room which believe me you would want one. Staff was nice enough and area was convenient but facility felt like a flop house.

Needs refurbishing. Shower mount was broken and water was too hot to stand under. Wooden floors in room didn't feel clean. Lift is small and smelled bad.

Only stay here if you need the location and somewhere cheap. For not much more though you could get a brand name hotel.

The lights in our room didn’t work at all, when we told reception about it they said they would get someone to look at it. When we came back the lights still didn’t work and there was no explanation or communication to us about why. As it was early hours of the morning when we got back we decided to leave it and go to sleep as we were only staying 1 night. The lock on the door also didn’t work.

If you're looking for a cheap no frills one night stay, this is your place. If you're looking for something more long-term and more luxurious go elsewhere but for a cheap one-night stay it did me well

Poor quality hotel

Piles of laundry and pizza boxes in the corridors. Hand prints and dirt on the walls. Dust on the floors. Metal framed camping type bed that hurt to sit on. Tiny room. Next to loud and busy street but had to sleep with windows open. Maybe cheap but travelodge would be 10x better.

Avoid at all costs

I have rarely encountered such a filthy, bug ridden and disgustingly unpleasant place as this.

The dirt was staggering.

The shower was broken

The staff didn’t give a damn

The place smelled of stale smoke and takeaways

Clear evidence of rats
