Nice room and comfortable beds, the bathroom was TINY though. We would bang our elbows on the shower doors while trying to maneuver around the toilet. That was the only drawback. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond for us. Overall a great stay.

We actually had to clean the shower ourselves before we could even take a shower. That alone says everything. For $200 a night, that is completely unacceptable.
My boyfriend and I swear we saw signs of bed bugs, which made it impossible to relax. The heater was ancient and didn’t even work properly. The sliding doors barely locked, which made us feel unsafe.
The only positive was that the staff was nice — but unfortunately, they didn’t really do much to resolve the issues.

Been staying here for years. Nice rooms not fancy but very comfy. The area is nice and quiet and a short walk to shops and cafes in beautiful Pacific Grove. Get a room with a balcony and sit out in the fresh air.

The heat didn’t work, there was very little water pressure in the shower, the sink was clogged, and the toilet plunger didn’t seal, so the water ran into the toilet constantly. And, the breakfast was a croissant and a cookie in a box.

We had a delightful stay at Olympia Lodge. The neighborhood was fantastic with easy access to the beach and nightly sunsets. The Lodge was conveniently located and our second floor corner room had view of the ocean and sunset. The room was very clean and spacious.

Room was clean, heater worked, linen was in good condition. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Parking was terrible because there was not nearly enough to accommodate even one vehicle per room. Handle fell off the sink and shower head leaked. There were no grab bars in the tub and the bathroom floor was stained. We found a prescription pill on the floor that was not ours. The door to the room was a glass sliding door that was the only window in the room. All lights in main area were on a single switch and there were no bedside lights. There were only enough outlets for 4 items to be plugged in. We will not be staying there again.

A word of caution about Pacific Grove, however: parking in the main part of town is a trap, where the city gives outrageous fines for any car not perfectly within the lines. Otherwise, amazing place.

My mini refrigerator in my room froze everything I put in it. I reported it to the front desk staff the first morning I was there. If they looked at it, it did not change. It was still a freezer only. I lost all food items. Also, website does not indicate microwaves in the room when they actually did have one in the room. I would have brought items to make my breakfast instead of getting a poor croissant from the front desk. The room was large and clean but acoustic were poor. Kids running in the upstair room above me at night and early morning. They were only there one night.

Been coming to his Hotel for years, ever since I had a friend living in the Olympia West Apartments which all have the same owner. Stayed in room 213, and I have to say this was by far the worst stay ever. We don't have very high standards and aren't picky at all, but the room was very run down. We had two queeen beds, the bed on the right was so hard and sqeeky that every toss and turn made a very loud horrible noise that keep everyone awake. The bed on the left was soft and made no noise. The front door is a large slider with blinds. The blinds were mostly broken and if some one wanted too could look in pretty easily from outside, which wasn't a plus for privacy. This isn't really the hotels fault but the seagulls were very loud around 7am which was abnormal from previous stays. Some hotels will hire people with falcons or attach anti seagull devices to prevent this disturbance. It really seems like this owner is extremely cheap and won't invest in repairs or infustructure. There are so many good quiet choices in Pacific Grove I'd recommend choosing something else. On a plus the staff was extremely friendly!

Terrific location! A few minutes walk down to some incredible trails by the ocean, and short drive into the heart of the town. It’s not a brand new property so the furnishings are a bit dated, but for the area and the price it’s a great deal. We even walked out of our room one morning to see a deer a few feet away! The employees were all kind and friendly, and were able to accommodate an early check-in.

Appreciated that there was a boxed breakfast of croissant, cheese, cookie and mints. The room has dated furniture, the carpet should be replaced, the room we stayed in and many of the rooms have an entry door which is a sliding glass window with a keyed lock. There was an odor in the room could not quite identify what the smell is, maybe from the carpet and the bed although the mattress seemed new, it was so hard - no cushioning at all. Overall, it was an OK stay for one night.

We could have requested a different room and done fine, so that's on us, but this one had an ocean view so that was nice. Luckily the wood pickers didn't make noise overnight, but they started up around 8:00 a.m. They had a couple hindred holes in the wall right above our patio door. See pic.
