The location of this hotel is excellent, a 5 minute walk from the Earl’s Court tine station and a 15 minute walk to the Natural History and V &A Museums. The hotel rooms are comfortable and reasonably spacious and the staff are attentive to guest requests. My wife and I would definitely stay at this hotel on our next trip to London.

The rooms look very outdated and they look like they need to be updated. The AC in the room barely worked, we were sweating most of the time. The air in the rooms also wasn’t very good. They had an air purifier but it barely worked. A decent cheap option but it needs an update. The staff were very nice though.

Very old property. Bathroom shower made a noise of some sort with noticeable black stuff in the seals. Trash outside was noisy. The staff knocked on the door a few times asking when we will check out.. this was around 1030 and check out at 11.

Overbooked and was moved to an apartment.

The hotel was actually overbooked as their systems hadn't caught up when I booked. They phoned in advance and put me up in an apartment down the road. Was more than adequate and the bonus was I got to have a shower after having run a half marathon in the morning as the hotel agreed to extend my checkout time and leave my luggage in the apartment. Wasn't what I'd planned but worked out better for me. The lady on the reception at the hotel was very nice and apologetic so all good as far as I'm concerned. Can't vouch for the actual hotel itself though.

The staff at the Kensington Court hotel were always polite, courteous and helpful with the front desk manned 24 hours a day. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and maintained. Earls Court Road is less than two blocks away and features many restaurants, stores, pubs, shops, etc. and the Earls Court Underground station.

Great hotel for a base for a couple of days.

The hotel was in a great location just a few minutes walk from Earl’s Court tube station and shops restaurants and a co op. The room was immaculate and looked like new furnishings, with new mattresses were being delivered as we arrived (they were very firm) anything we asked staff for such as additional towels and adjustments to the heating in our room were responded to within minutes. The breakfast was buffet and plentiful which was great before a day of sightseeing. We were very pleased with the hotel overall.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Kensington Court Hotel. The hotel was close to the tube station and restaurants and pubs on the main street within Earl's Court. We were always greeted by the front desk workers when we entered or left the hotel. The breakfast was a large spread with different options to choose from. The rooms were just what you needed, although the shower was a bit small and slippery.

Disappointing experience on arrival. Reception desk refused to accept that any room was booked ‘you don’t have hotel reference number’. I showed an Expedia booking reference, I showed them the email welcome note sent from hotel, I had the credit card used to pay, the Staff member also advised there was only one booking that day (mine) - but he used every spurious reason to say there was no booking made. After almost 10 minutes debating with the hotels (he) agreed yes there was a booking. Appalling customer welcome. Any one of many pieces of information presented could have satisfied the check-in in seconds.

Stayed for 2 nights. We had 2 rooms booked and were allowed to check in and park early, which was really great. Guy at check in was very helpful. Rooms were a good size with a large double bed and sofa. A few signs of wear and tear but clean sheets and fesh towels dally. Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of pastries, bread toast, cheese, ham, scrambled and poached eggs,beans, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. Fresh coffee and fruit juice as well. Despite being busy, the staff were very attentive and refilled everything promptly.

A convenient gem

I booked the Kensington Court because we were coming back from a European trip through London for one night before flying out of Heathrow home to the US the following evening, and its location a few blocks from Earls Court tube station is very convenient for getting to and from Heathrow. Earls Court is on the Picadilly line and the station has an elevator. However, I was quite delighted by the neighborhood, with many conveniences and a pleasantly busy feel, and I think I'd enjoy having the hotel as my base on a longer trip. Earls Court Station also has the District line, so many areas of London are accessible by tube without needing to change trains. The room was large, with a full-size sofa, desk area, mini-fridge, adequate shelving and closet space, king size bed, and adequate bathroom (the bathroom door closed automatically but I managed to keep it open for ventilation by jamming the bath mat under it.) Our 4th-floor room looked out on a block-sized green space with trees, flowers, grass and lots of birds, including 4 green parrots that were quite entertaining to watch! The breakfast buffet wasn't spectacular, but the coffee was decently brewed, and made to order eggs were included. It's also quite good value for the price (except maybe during the Wimbledon tennis tournament...)

The location of the hotel from central London and tube stops was brill, however the Kensington feel wasn't there due to scaffolding on buildings.
The service was quick and responsive. The room (Quad Room) provided didn't match any pictures on this site. As soon as we stepped foot into the room, we knew we weren't going to stay with the stains on pillows, floor and walls. It also didn't feel as safe as it could be with the lock of the door falling off as soon as we closed the door. I mean in retrospect you get what you pay for and for us this seemed like a good deal but it wasn't worth it. As my mum would say it was a \"cheap and dirty dive\".

First off, I didn't know about the bed bugs until I looked at reviews. I noticed these dark stains on the white sheets. I took photos and if you look closely, you will see the remnant of a bed bug's outer shell. How do I know? Because I unfortunately experienced this before years ago. Even though I didn't receive any bites, it is still traumatizing to sleep in a room with a possibility of bed bug bites.

If the hotel has already addressed this infestation issue, please replace your sheets because it is disgusting to use sheets with the carcasses of bed bugs.

I don't think asking for clean sheets will help because the thought of bed bugs has already been planted. No need for new sheets.

Second, elevator was broken. I don't think it takes several days to repair an elevator.

Third, ceiling is starting to crack. Bathroom's door knob is gross. Only good thing was the amenities were there for a 3-star hotel.

This is the worst 3-stars hotel I've ever stayed at. For the price you are paying, you can definitely find a better place where you can have a good night sleep without worrying you'll bring home critters from this hotel.

Good hotel, confusing parking.

Good location for what we needed. We decided to drive on this occasion as this hotel offered parking.This was extra on top but to be expected,it is London after all. What was slightly worrying was after 2 enquiries about the parking we were still left wondering if there would be a space when we got there. When checking in we were asked if we booked the parking which didn't tally up with the 2 email enquiries we made before we arrived. All a little confusing but worked out in the end.
Hotel was fine and lived upto the 3 star rating. Breakfast was good and the staff were extremely attentive.plus points for offering an extra teabag for our pot of tea.
We will use the Kensington again as it met our needs but we will make sure the parking is available and booked.

When spoke to reception they said they would sort this the next day, and turn king into two twins. Neither of these things were done. However, clean and confirm table beds. More like a posh hostel.

Was mediocre. Lighting in room not great. The bed was clean but pictures etc were very dusty. Breakfast was hopeless. There was no hot food in any containers. When I asked they said they were cooking it. No milk in container for cereal. They did come straight over and take drinks order. I eventually got scrambled eggs and was offered toast. When I had nearly finished they asked if we wanted sausage to which we said yes please. We got tired of waiting for them and left. They kindly saved our bag whilst we went to the drag con convention. My daughter had a nut allergy episode and so the ambulance driver took us back to the hotel to retrieve our case. I asked reception if we were able to sit in reception whilst I sorted out an earlier train as my daughter was feeling unwell. I am not sure if the lady on reception had understood me but she replied ‘yes for 5 minutes’! The ambulance driver wanted to take us to hospital so she was clearly poorly. A little support would have been great.

Room is large. On shower water was only a little warm. Breakfast is horrible and poor and very bad persons in kitchen and impolite. Wifi is not working properly and also it is disconnecting every 6h. Area is quiet. You can leave luggages there after check-out but it is not safe and person from reception do not ask your name or what kind of baggage did you left when take them back. So anybody can come and take what he/she wants and there are no CCTV cameras there. Pillows were not fresh. Doors and walls are not soundproof so you can hear all noises on hall. Bed was not confortable.

Such a good value hotel. As a solo slightly older visitor I really enjoyed my stay at Kensington Court Hotel. A terrific location around the corner from Earls Court Station, it had a good breakfast including fresh fruit, plenty of roll choices and some scrambled egg and sausages with coffee or tea. There was enough room to move with a king size bed and sofa in the room and had a good size Tv The windows were double glazed but I could open slightly for fresh air.
The bathroom was small but had a good flow of hot water. I felt safe in this hotel and would totally recommend it

Stayed for one night as it was a stop in between my availability for my Air B&B. Didn't take a shower because there was loose electrical wires hanging from the roof near dripping water. Water was looking from the roof in the washroom. In June it was cheap went back to book it a few weeks later and the price tripled in July. Not worth hundreds of dollars IMHO. It was a nice convenient location.

We had serious bitting during our sleep.. then when I came back home same day the bitting was serious .. then we hired a professional pest control company and they discovered Bed Bugs in our bags full of bed bugs from the hotel.. we payed 600£ for the pest control company to do the chemical treatment for the house today... it is a serious issue

During our stay, we noticed that we were not getting any WiFi in our room. We spoke to the receptionist numerous times to let her know about the lack of WiFi in our room. She said she spoke to the receptionist numerous times, she said she spoke to the company and the problem would be rectified. However, our WiFi service was still terrible. I work from my phone/laptop and it was extremely difficult for me to work with the WiFi going in and out. Secondly, the room was extremely hot. We had a fan, but the fan didn’t really do much compared to the warm nights. I understand it is summer (late August), but perhaps there could’ve been a better cooling system other than a fan.
Thirdly, and most importantly, we found 2 roaches in our room on 2 different occasions. This is highly unacceptable and differed from the reviews we used to book this hotel. It was a horror but we tried our best to still enjoy our stay in London, despite the hotel discomfort.

Very poor standard hotel and hotel chain

We booked a two night stay and arrived Friday to be told our room was unavailable that night because of maintenance issues. We were sent to another hotel in the same chain - The Brunel in Paddington. This hotel was dirty, poorly maintained and the room we were allocated was no larger than would be suitable for a single person but the hotel had crammed in a double bed and not much more. The toilet /shower was beyond a joke it was so small. The coffee/tea facilities were inadequate and the milk cartons had all \"gone off\". The air con was directly over the bed so to keep cool at night was only achievable at the expense of any sleep. Breakfast was basic. On our return to the Kensington Court we were allocated a room next to the lift which was therefore noisy during the day and evening. The air con was not functioning properly and had to be turned off. There was no hot water to the bath but the staff at reception could not have been less interested when I told them. Breakfast was poor.
Overall, our experience of this hotel chain was appalling and we cannot recommend to anyone that they should book with them. Had we been given some notice that the room would not be available on Friday (the hotel knew during the day about the repairs needed) we could have rebooked elsewhere and then the hotel chain would have avoided this negative review. We were not offered any compensation for the inconvenience and this reflected the overall poor standard of customer care.

Bad experience for us....

Bad experience for us. Given a room next to a lift shaft, if that wern't bad enough woken at 4am by noisy pipes/plumbing. Complained but the staff totally uninterested (heard it all before no doubt) was told the problem had been fixed. After several requests we were offered a room change to single beds which they knew was not acceptable. Just a fob off. Next night same noise at 4am. So 2 nights disturbed sleep. Asked for compensation at check out and told 'manager not available blah blah' In my opinion both management and staff are dishonest. Room tired and in need of updating, typical worn out London hotel. Breakfast just about edible. Its a real shame as the location is great, ideal for Earls Court Underground and quite a few really good bars and eating places very close by. Don't like to leave negative reviews but felt we were treated badly on this occasion and the hotel was given every chance to offer some kind of compensation but totally not interested.

The staff were excellent, helpful and pleasant. The hotel was clean throughout with a lovely light airy breakfast room in the basement where a comprehensive breakfast was served. There was a lift to all floors and our room including the bathroom was very clean. The bed was comfortable with good quality linen. Tea and coffee was available in the room, plus a safe, good sized wardrobe and place for a suitcase. The headboard showed some signs of previous water damage and there was a patch of plaster under the window which could be repaired, but that was all. The hotel is in a quiet street but close to the Earls Court Road where there are plenty of facilities and lovely restaurants. We made an excellent choice with this hotel.
