Amazing overnight stay in London prior to heading over to Dover to start our cruise. I could not recommend a more amazing opportunity in a cute, safe neighborhood with plenty of local dining and convenience options.

I only mentioned on check out to be fair to staff but there a horrible smell of old cigarette that would get pushed out the vent normally in the afternoon evening. This needs to be rectified.
In addition the housekeeping and room cleaning was very irregular. On day 1 it was cleaned about 2pm. The next day no o e came till around 6pm when it was too inconvenient to leave our room

The room was clean, spacious & renovated. First time to stay in a vault room ( basement), but nice experience. They have an indoor pool, gym & restaurant . Free washer & dryer which is a big plus, also free laundry soap & conditioner. It’s in a prime location, lots of restaurants around, so it’s highly recommended. Walking distance to Gloucester road train station.

Our room was in the basement and I did not like it. Our bedrooms were weird but the description was a vault so that’s on me., It was very humid. No wash clothes which was weird to me.

Hotel has a moody vibe and very cool looking I am sure another floor would have worked.

Do not eat at the hotel, cost a fortune and not worth the money. Walk to a cafe and grab breakfast.

Hotel is being sold so likely there will be changes.

The Other House exceeded all of our expectations. The hotel itself is fantastic, but what truly made our stay memorable was the outstanding staff. A special thank you to Julia at the bar/restaurant, who welcomed us on our first night in London. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful, making us feel right at home during our first visit to the UK.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I will absolutely stay here again the next time I visit London!

Very lovely hotel. Great spa area and lounge area downstairs.

The only bit of feedback to improve this stay would have been the ability to order drinks a little later for residents. Cut off appears to be mid-night. Which isn’t great in London and at a hotel of this calibre.

Otherwise, bed very comfortable, showers great and staff friendly.

i stayed here 5 times now and 2 months ago we moved to the ampersands due to the lack of service, this weekend we decided to stay at the other house as they had a pool and it was terriblez staff were rude, no manager on site to speak to and a terrible stay, the main part is the staff are so under trained and it ruined our trip, coffee machine in room broke too and had to ask twice for the room to be cleaned. i would use ampersand hotel again so proffesinal and more money but worth every penny.

The room was very clean and most importantly it was quiet. The soundproofing is excellent. We didn't hear any outside noise. The location was so convenient for using the tube and going all over London easily. There were also a fair number of restaurants within easy walking distance. The shower was big and spacious. The only downside was the water was not as hot as we would have liked. This seems to be a common theme in Europe because it was the case everywhere we went. Understood...there's an energy crunch and I'm as concerned as the next person about the climate but after a long day of walking and carrying a heavy backpack a hot shower would be a great relief.

This was our first time staying at The Other House and we would definitely come back. The apartment was small but they made greatbuse of space and furnishings were unique and welcoming. The location was very central, easy walk to Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, lots of great restaurants to choose from and area felt very safe. We only used the lounge for a drink one night.

Did not get to use the workout and pool areas. Great location to launch in London. Comfy sleeping for two, small but useful living and kitchenette areas to start and end days. Nice towels and toiletries. Did not use the bar and dining areas but they were both nice. Courtesy umbrellas in the lobby for the use during the day. All around lovely experience!

This is an amazing place to stay in London - a home away from home our Club room had a kitchenette, lounge area, very well presented bathroom and separate bed area with plenty of cupboard space. The public areas were well designed and comfortable and the restaurant provided a range of options. A short walk to Gloucester Road Tube Station and local shops makes for a very comfortable base when in London while away from the busyness. Easy walk to Harrods, the Victoria & Albert Museum and Kensington Place & Gardens or simply hop on a train. When we arrived my husband was quite ill and staff quickly assisted me to organise a doctor.

Quirky awesome hotel. Lots of little rooms to have a drink, pool, gym, sauna, free laundry. The decor is amazing! Nothing like you see in most hotels. Close to station that covers multiple lines, supermarket, and heaps of pubs. Surrounded by the beautiful neighbourhood of South Kensington. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in the rooms downstairs which would be like a basement. Upon entering the room I noticed a bit of a musty mildew smell. Maybe to be expected since you’re underground a little. I’m not sure how they’d get this smell out to be honest. I do however have a sniffer like a bloodhound and can smell anything so you may not notice it.

The room was beautifully decorated and we had a nice living room area, kitchen with all glasses, toaster, dish soap, tea towels, kettle, fridge etc. Two bathrooms which was handy and 3 bedrooms. The towel heaters in the bathroom didn’t work with much but effort. The one radiator in the bedroom did work to dry our bathing suits though. The pool was lovely including the sauna and steam rooms. They had a nice lounge through the window for purchasing alcoholic beverages and relaxing but I didn’t venture over there. The hotel is very well decorated throughout. Overall nice and clean. Breakfast was surprisingly small. I ordered the eggs benedict but it didn’t come with anything else on the plate. I thought it would at least come with a little fruit or hash browns but no. We all found our breakfast to be tiny for the price they charge. It did taste good. I would venture somewhere else for breakfast though to be honest. We did not have the breakfast package so we paid. I would come to this hotel again but probably wouldn’t choose the basement lofts because the smell was a turn off for me.

I always like staying here, it's got quite expensive but it has everything I prefer. The property is beautiful, the rooms are lovely although some can be noisy. The pool is an absolute treat and so are the lovely steam room & sauna. It can get a bit busy down there but if you get it to yourself it's heaven! Breakfast is expensive but very good with excellent vegetarian options, the staff in the restaurant are the best :) the cocktail bar is good but pricey and sometimes the service is a bit off & I don't really rate the food in there. There's no parking but you can park in the Millennium over the road or on the street if you're only there overnight (6.30pm to 8.30am). On this stay I had a late checkout arranged the day before, when I checked out the male member of staff said to me imperiously 'for your reference for next time checkout is 11am'. I explained about the arrangement & he didn't apologise.. just laughed, it was very unprofessional and it made me really uncomfortable :(

A really travel convenient hotel. It’s a bare minimum spa hotel, priced as such. Most rooms have a kitchenette so go shopping before you arrive as the food is a bit hit and miss.
The spa is great and the massage I had was lovely. Some more traditional hot stones would have been good. Ask for bath robes at reception or you won’t get them. No landline phones in rooms which is annoying. Because of room design you can’t watch TV in bed because of the metal screens. If you are into SnM this screen is for you!
The staff are mainly lovely and helpful but the main guy in the breakfast room made me feel like Billy no mates shouting a table JUST for one across the dining room and then repeating this another few times. I get to the table set for two and he makes a big deal about removing one set of cutlery. I actually felt the need to ask him to stop pointing out that I’m on my own. More training here I think!
I would stay again but the lack of ready available food and room service puts me off a little. Even the private cafe by the pool had no food when I went in.

Firstly, the hotel is in a great location in South Kensington close to both the tube and the bus. The hotel itself is beautiful and clean. I loved the eclectic vibe and decor. The staff was very nice and friendly and helped with all of our needs. We stayed in the 2 bedroom vault which is on the lower floor. The living area, kitchenette and bathroom are beautiful. The bedrooms, although they were described to us, were not really convenient. Yes, they are built into the turrets of the hotel, which we knew, however we did not know that you had to climb in and out of the bed to get out of the room as it is so tight. Also it was not brought to our attention the you have to duck to get into the one bedroom as the ceiling height was maybe 5 ft 3 inches tall. One of the travelers with me was older and due to the climbing into and out of the bed fell and severely bruised her eye and shoulder. We did let staff know but honestly had I know the ceilings were that low and that you had to climb over the bed to get in and out I would have booked differently. The accident did ruin some of our vacation. I would stay at this hotel again but would NOT stay in those rooms. If you’re a male or taller female it is extremely dangerous and inconvenient.

The other house is quite unique, I would say if they are to continue operating as a hotel there needs to be certain aspects that contribute to it being a hotel such as slippers, dressing gowns in rooms, complimentary biscuits, directions to the spa with arrows to show where it is. Also some of the receptionist staff could be more friendly. Overall it was a nice stay but there are some improvements to be made. Also the lighting could be better in the rooms.

The property is nice and exactly as in the photos. What I did not like about my room was that it was on the ground floor with the windows looking out to internal sit outs of the hotel - so no natural light.

The housekeeping left a lot to be desired. We stayed there for about 3 weeks. They do housekeeping once a week only and do not even change towels. One had to keep requesting them to do at least give fresh towels. And even when housekeeping was done they would forget to replenish the tea, sugar etc.

The most disappointing part was when I gave this feedback to the front office staff, I was told that because I was a long staying guest I needed to remind them to replenish supplies! One would have expected service to be better for a long staying guest and not the other way round !!

Lovely room — very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Lighting created a relaxing atmosphere. Bathroom lighting can be improved to have a light that can do makeup. The kitchen is nice but not functioning very well, e.g. coffee machine not working, nowhere to find the power on button of the vent, and it took forever for the stove to bring the water to boiling. Staff are friendly.

My go-to stay in London. The location is perfect (both a cute area and easy to take public transit around town) and it feels like home. The facilities downstairs (pool, movie room, etc) are such a fun touch. I initially picked it because they have some really lovely extras (sound baths!!!), but even if you're not into those extra options, it's a comfortable, serene place to relax and either rest at the property to set up a nice base to explore the city. LOVE having a kitchenette, especially if you're there on a short trip and can't really adjust to the time difference. Feels both luxurious and cosy, in the most wonderful way. A definite home away from home.

The hotel was perfect, exactly as described and in a lovely quiet but accessible location. The room we stayed in had 3 separated sleeping spaces so was brilliant for a family of 4 with two teenagers. The staff were also amazing, very helpful and accommodating. Pool and Sauna area also very nice. It was pricey, but it was value for money. Would highly recommend.

However, the T.V. was completely misplaced—it faced the wall, making it impossible to watch, so I never used it. The hotel was quiet, and it’s within walking distance of Cromwell Hospital, which was very helpful.

Highly recommend The Other House. Beautiful hotel in a perfect location.
Our room was beautiful - a little squishy, but great. The room had a kitchenette which took quite a bit of space, and we didn’t use it. It would be great if you feel like preparing some meals yourself, but we were keen to enjoy the restaurants and pubs in the city.
The breakfast was excellent and well worth adding as an inclusion with your stay.
The location is unbeatable with walking access to some of the main sights in London. It’s a beautiful neighbourhood and we felt safe and comfortable instantly.
I hope we’ll be able to stay again one day soon.

Lovely property in a great location. We stayed in one of the vaults flats with our kids. They loved the bed in the vault. The firedoor to outside wasn’t brilliantly sound proofed to the outdoor noise, but the kids still slept well. The kitchen is very clean and well appointed for its size. Pool is lovely and kept the kids happy between 3-4.30 when it is open for kids.
