Lovely breakfast. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Twin room, 232, was a good size and had a whirlpool bath! Room faced into the centre of the hotel and was quiet.
Only negative was the offer of a free drink if you checked in prior to arrival, which then wasn't available because I didn't book directly with the hotel 🙄 Seemed churlish not to offer that when I raised it on arrival.

City break with my cousin.
The hotel is in a good location and a short walk from South Kensington tube station; the staff where freindly and helpful, the breakfast on the morning was nice.
Lots of places to chose to eat out on a night time that are within walking distance if the hotel.
If you want to use the pool it's best to pick a day that is going to be the least busy to get your money's worth as it cost £15 per day for each person and, we took advantage of the adult only times which where very quite as well.
Will stay at this hotel again.

I love this place! This was my second visit, and check in was great (staff are so warm and friendly), the location couldn’t be more convenient (close to South Kensington station), and their complimentary breakfast is also excellent. I was there after a very long trek back from Seychelles so I opted to get a Thai massage (with Dada), and it was just what I needed before embarking on the last leg of my journey back to Canada. I was also very appreciative of the wonderful service I received from Neil in helping me to secure proper transportation to the airport. The only downside is the pool/gym isn’t directly owned by the hotel so you have to pay an additional fee to use it (hence my score for amenities), however when in London you have plenty of opportunity to exercise outdoors so who really wants to waste time at the gym anyway. Looking forward to staying here again next time I’m in London.

The Rembrandt Hotel is in the perfect location for exploring London. Near many museums and the tube station, restaurants, pubs, and nightlife.

The good points were that the staff were nice, the reception desk, foyer bar, and breakfast were very thorough, and that breakfast was included. Sadly, the overall experience was just 'okay', which was disappointing for a hotel of this supposed calibre. The room was small, the 'amenities' that I paid £20 for was a 1-night upgrade because the two nights we'd booked were on different rates. I would struggle to know what the upgraded amenities were: no coffee machine, only basic shampoo and body wash, only one towel for 2 of us, and only one mug. We had to ask for more pillows, and the room attendant badgered us to not clean the room overnight three times. I can't say I would rush to recommend this to others, even though it's a nice place in a great location.

This hotel false advertises it has a pool and a Gym onsite. It doesn't it is a separate off site location and you have to pay £15 to use it. Only mentions this in the small print tucked away on hotel.com under policies. £230 for 1 night and you have to pay to go to the gym or pool. I will never return for that reason

Yes room was terrible one of them the one that we paid more for was slightly ok maybe i would say just the bathroom was renovated a while ago my brothers room was a disaster we were 4 people my daughter wanted to stay with us in the room thats why we got the bigger room that sleeps 3 and at the check in they made us pay extra because the room we paid for three people said only two again we were 4 people for 2 rooms why does it matter where they stay here or there the restaurant is terrible it takes 30 mins to get water never mind order they charged us for 30 mins leaving later the room each 40 pounds this is for me the worst experience in london being here at hotels for 42 days already

I was really impressed with this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful both at the front desk and the bar/restaurant. Excellent location. The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast buffet was good quality and plentiful. It was nice as well to have up to 11am to eat breakfast.

Room clean. Bed and bedding good. Bathroom clean and updated. Nespresso machine with pods, tea and kettle. Air con bit noisy but seemed to work. Nice bath robes and decent towels. Location ideal for museums.
Paid for upgrade to room and it was modern and nice. Worth £40? Can’t say as I didn’t see the Grand King to compare.
Breakfast was ok, not brilliant.

Disappointing you have to pay a lot for a swim!

Only negative is the stupid shower head - if you turn it on, you get soaked with cold water and rainfall showers are no good for a shower without hair washing.

Beware - charge extra for the onsite gym and pool. Absolute rip off. Definitely not a fully equipped gym as advertised fit the size of the hotel.
Card machine did not work on check out.

The place was overall fine. I was really unhappy with the fitness facilities. For one thing, they charged 15£ per person per day. I had no idea about this because it’s buried in some obscure part of the Expedia listing. What’s more, the pool is not available for huge swaths of the day because of swim lessons. This is also not advertised, and it defeats the entire point of a hotel having a pool. I talked about this to staff, and nobody cared. Otherwise, I liked my stay fine.

A couples weekend in London, we saw there was an offer through hotels.com and went for it.

Staff were very friendly. We'd arrived before check in on the assumption we would just drop our bags into storage and come back after a quick explore around South Kensington. As it was, our room was ready and we were able to drop our gear off and refresh before heading out.

Very pleased with the breakfast and service during this time. Also the bar/lounge area was very well set up and service was exemplary.

My wife used the swimming pool and was very pleased. The only hiccup being that she and my mother-in-law (who also stayed over on the Saturday night..) inadvertently wandered into the men's changing room without realising it. Luckily there were no casualties!!

Would recommend this hotel for it's service and it's location for sites like the museums, the Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. We would definitely consider staying again.

They don't give water bottle in the room no matter how many days u stay. Except for 1 only 1 welcome bottle which is the worst I have seen in any hotel in the world ,
Plus they don't have an air curtain in the hotel lobby so bacilli all the people the including guest freeze like every 10 seconds

Other than that it's a good hotel and the location is v good as it's walking distance of 5 minutes or Harrods and many good shopping and dining options m good for tourists

This hotel is very misleading. You have to pay to use the swimming pool, even though on the description on here it’s only noted about the fitness centre and gym as a charge.

So for a family of 3 it was a further £47.50 per day, which if known beforehand we would have booked somewhere else. We have the screen shots from this site showing this misleading information.

The room was fine, no view though.

Breakfast was standard help yourself buffet, with overcooked eggs and bacon.

The location is great for visiting the museums and Harrods a short walk away.

We left the hotel a night earlier.

VERY clean, first class hotel in a great location. Staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. The included breakfast is perfect before your day, sausage, eggs (fried or scrambled) bacon potatoes. There are meats and cheeses as well as bread options.
Very good location for museums which are directly across the street. Tube is 5 mins walk with 3-4 stops away from the west end or theatre district.
Would recommend and will go back!!

We paid for an early check-in, but when we entered the room, the bathroom smelled like pee and I could see drops on the bathroom floor. The bathroom was cleaned after we called reception, but it was disgusting to witness that (in addition of a hair). The room we booked was ample and quiet. Beds and pillows were good. Breakfast is above average. Overall, this was a good stay.

Awful stay. I booked this hotel because of the spa and intended to relax after a long day of travelling, yet despite looking online for opening times and making sure I arrived with plenty of time, the spa was closed. I ran myself a bath which promptly drained itself so I sat in a towel whilst multiple members of staff entered my room and told me to \"give it another go\". I said I wouldn't have called unless I was sure I couldn't fix it as I had set up the bath with products and my dinner. They moved me to another room which did have a working bath but was cold. The air conditioning unit was blowing cold air and couldn't be turned off, however I didn't complain because it helped block out the noise of the very busy road down below. I woke up several times in the night shivering. The tea and coffee facilities were incredibly basic with unbranded biscuits and only one decaf tea option and the toiletries were basic and left my skin and hair feeling dry. Overall I do not believe this stay was worth £250 a night, I did not feel like a valued customer and I have been left feeling disappointed with a negative impression of this hotel. This does not feel like a 4*. I have had much better 3* hotels for half the price.

The positives

The hotel is well positioned in South Kensington, close to South Kensington Tube Station and well within walking distance, for the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. All the hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The room was a fair size and nice and clean.

The not so positives

Our Queen Bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I’ve ever slept in. The mattress was very hard. Likewise, as were the pillows. After the first nights poor sleep, the hotel did place a mattress topper on the mattress and provided some soft feather pillows. These did help to improve the quality of our sleep.

For a 4 star hotel, surprisingly the quality of the breakfasts was disappointing. With very little prepared fresh fruit and no fresh berries. Rather, other than some fresh Mellon and Pineapple, only tinned or stewed fruit. Or apples, or bananas on offer. The cooked
breakfast was unremarkable, with what tasted like, powdered scrambled eggs being served. Likewise, the breads and pastries were of supermarket ‘value’ quality.

The hotel is across the street from the V&A museum, and my room had a front view. Location is superb! I could walk to The Royal Albert Hall, the tube, the shops, and Hyde Park. My room was well-maintained, and the spacious bathroom had a bathtub, a rare find in most hotels these days. The staff was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay.

We upgraded to the Executive King. A great sized room, very comfortable, clean and very well situated. All the staff from Check-in to the dining staff and room service were all excellent, very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our weekend break and would indeed consider staying at the Rembrandt again.

The hotel is fine. The location is great, across from the V&A and near a Tube stop - and one that also allows you to go directly to the airport. The room was clean. The linens were updated, yet the wood furniture looked tired, making the overall place look not-so-great. The service was just okay - no one was rude, yet they also didn't go out of their way to assist. It is really annoying that the hotel lists a gym (which was in my search query), yet you have to pay $20 a day for it. I would rather have the price be slightly higher get to use the gym without an extra fee.

As usual all that we have come to expect from The Rembrandt after this our 4th stay.

A lovely hotel, super location for the buses and tube in addition to restaurants and pubs close by withi easy walking distance.

The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy, the breakfast and snacks on offer are of a good quality. Our only grumble and its a little one is the shower is in the bath and as our mobility isn't as good as it used to be stepping out of the bath.

However, looking forward to visiting London again and of course staying at The Rembrandt!

The room was lovely. The staff were ok. The breakfast was mediocre. We had booked two rooms, one for us and one for our daughter. We were accused of not paying for one of them even though we had email proof. It was resolved but it could have been dealt with better. We waited a while for our daughter's room even though it was next to ours and we had to ask a couple of times for the key card. We were given two complimentary drinks vouchers but our daughter was told she couldn't have one even though the room was booked in her name. This seemed petty and unfair seeing as she had waited until well after 3pm for her room and the staff were a bit indifferent.

Just a really convenient hotel in great neighbourhood easy walking distance to museums, Kings Road, Harrods and lots of great restaurants. Breakfast at hotel is good and service is excellent some of the rooms are a bit tired but are always clean.
