We loved our stay at the Old Inn - rooms were nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Spa facilities etc were all beautiful and had a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Restaurant was really good - lovely food, great service and attentive staff. Young waiter and waitress (I think called Leo and Sofie) both really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great quality and freshly cooked, ordered from a menu rather than buffet. Any and all staff we encountered were friendly, chatty and helpful. Love the general atmosphere - chilled out, laidback, peaceful with rustic decor and good lighting etc. No complaints - would definitely recommend and stay again.

We had picked this hotel as it had a spa facility and had been recommended to us. It didn’t disappoint. The spa is compact but has everything there that you need.
The only issue we had was the room that we were given was directly above the bar and looked out onto the main road. As it was warm we had the window open but could hear the cars all night.
Also there was a singer on (who was very good) but unfortunately was loud so we weren’t able to relax and watch TV in our room that evening. The music went on till 11pm. Then the noise from next doors Tv kept us awake even longer.
If we were to return we would definitely request a room at the rear of the hotel.
Breakfast was great. Again staff were very attentive.

We had a nice stay at The Old Inn, was it worth the cost? I’m not so sure. The decor of the hotel is really nice and it was very clean. We had a Junior suite with a copper bath in the room, which was gorgeous! And the bathroom was really lovely. I visited the spa at about 5pm and the hot tub and pool was full to bursting. My husband took 1 look, turned on his heel and left- there were just too many people for the space. But in saying that, the facilities are lovely and it does look and feel quite luxurious and you can order drinks via a QR code whilst in the pool/tub if you manage to find a space. The food offering seemed rather fine dining focused with corn fed chicken breast, duck, lamb, lobster on offer and while my meal was nice, I feel that the food was overpriced considering that a main was £29+ before you added in £6 side and £4 sauces etc. The shared spaces definitely need some maintenance. And while all of the above did not detract in any way from the hotel, it’s sort of what you expect with a Galgorm collection hotel now, but what I was disappointed by was the fact that all the lovely character of that hotel had been replaced by a

And breakfast was disappointing quality....tasteless mushrooms on hard sourdough with undercooked poached eggs was a bad choice. And i really wouldve liked some hot water for my tea and no one came near us!!

Charming old building combined with modern luxury, excellent SPA facilities if that’s your thing. Cosy bar, quality food and excellent service. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great spot for exploring the County Down coast, we were lucky with the weather.

Fantastic overnight in a suite. The room was fabulous and beautifully decorated. The bathroom amazing and the free standing bath was luxurious. Food good and service warm and friendly. Fantastic two night break at the Old Inn. Stumbled into the monthly pub quiz on the first night. Had excellent breakfasts both days with a great meal in the restaurant the 2nd night. Spa was thoroughly relaxing. Lovely sipping a cocktail in the pool.

We had a wonderful stay for our wedding anniversary. Relaxed drinks by the fire on arrival, and a lovely spa trip before dinner. Amazing food and the new spa is gorgeous.
However, our room required some upkeep.
Wallpaper and light fittings really need updated, this is too nice a hotel to have peeling wallpaper, worn lampshades and water damaged curtains.

Hot hotel.. Literally and figuratively
The hotel is gorgeus and the staff are really lovely! The spa is very cute but because it's small it gets very crowded, also we found it a bit strange when people from the restaurant were just walking round the spa area, just felt a bit exposed lol. The food and service was also gorgeus! Our main issue was the shocking heat! Obviously it's an old hotel so theirs no air con and thanks to global warming it was 19 degrees on an autumn night but the room inside was like the devil's armpit. It got to an unbearable stage and the lovely staff offered us a different room which was slightly cooler but still hot. I would just warn you if you run hot I would definitely avoid during any sort of hot weather including ever an Irish autumn's night!

The hotel and spa are brilliant, the staff were pleasant and helpful. The cocktails are lovely and the food was ok. Unfortunately the only thing to ruin our stay was the occupants in neighbouring room allowing their door to slam closed the whole night long as they must have been visiting friends in another room.

Myself and 2 sisters stayed at Crawfordsburn Inn for a birthday treat 18/9 to 19/9/23. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were very accommodating, polite and well mannered. Food was terrific as was the cocktails. The Spa was an added extra allowing us to relax in a beautiful sunny afternoon. We definitely intend to return and would thoroughly recommend to family and friends.

Not quite the standard of the price point. Menu never changed over 4 days and light dinners and lunches were not really offered.Should be more flexible about dining on terrace. BUT it's a lovely place with lovely people and a superb little outdoor spa. The beech forest and walk to the wonderful beaches from the doorstep will bring me back again.

Historic old world feel. very pleasant receptionist on arrival showing us to our room. Room was small even though it wasn't the economy room and there are no real views. Oddly the mini fridge is on the floor so you have to crouch down to get to it, very awkward indeed! Not a great fan of over bath shower but it was ok. The spa is nice though don't expect to go for a swim the pool is more of a large jacuzzi to relax in. the cabaña is nice. They are in the process of constructing an outside bar which will be great as bit of a hassle having to walk in through the hotel to the bar particularly if you are wet. Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was great, we didn't realise it was outside but still enjoyed the experience. We would suggest they should offer watier service in the spa conservatory rather than waking through the hotel in a robe, with wet feet, to get a drink. We had dinner in the restaurant, the service and food were good.

Some items not in room as expected such as bathrobes and extra shampoo shower gels bath lotions would be expected. One way system in hotel with parlour bar closed due to covid. Pricing in restaurant not offering value for money salmon at 25 pounds same price as steak yet at lunch included as 2 course deal for this price. Better to book dinner included break here. Nice staff overall would recommend staying here as surroundings are great.

Don't sleep at the front of the hotel!!
We stayed one night at the Crawfordsburn Inn recently. The Inn is very old and cute but our room (which wasn't the most expensive!) was right at the front, virtually ON the main road and all night long the cars pounded by. It was very hot and we couldn't open the windows at all, so we suffered rather a lot. Definitely don't have a room at the front. The main restaurant is decorated rather OTT and modern ish whereas the bar area is delightful and in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The breakfast was outstanding - the best omelette in the whole world!!

Although familiar with the inn it was out first overnight stay. Free upgrade of room was a lovely surprise on arrival. The staff were extremely friendly and the service was first class. We had dinner, bed and breakfast package and all the food was excellent. General atmosphere is relaxed, friendly and comfortable. We could not have been more impressed and would definately return.

Be Wary Of The Noise
A very nice classic old inn with very accommodating staff. The food is good and the bar very pleasant.. However, the noise is a major problem. I stayed in two different rooms and had major noise problems in both. There is no air conditioning so on a warm evening you must open the windows for it to be bearable. If you are on the front you get a lot of street noise along with smokers under your window chatting away. If you are on the back you have the same issue with people in the car park. They also do a lot of weddings which run very late in the evening. I was there four nights and they did two weddings with guests at one making noise after 2 AM.
