This is the second time we have stayed at Clandeboye, and it has been consistently excellent. The room is wonderful and well-appointed. The staff is both very friendly and goes the extra mile in all cases. The food is excellent and it's a great place to meet friends or family and hang out. The grounds are beautiful and it's pretty conveniently located for our purposes. We'll be back!!
Deborah

Incredible hospitality! We were staying for a friends wedding at the venue and the team could not do enough for you. We arrived early morning and asked if we could leave our cases whilst we headed into Bangor - within seconds the receptionist and housekeeping manager were scouting out which rooms were readily available - we were given an upgraded room and able to check in immediately.
On our first morning of breakfast, my partner asked the waiting staff if it would be possible to get some avocado with his haddock & eggs, he was told unfortunately it's not something they have in stock as it isn't in any of their menu items. Lo and behold, the next morning we sit down for breakfast and the waiter has been and purchased an avocado just for my partner!
Our only downside to the hotel was the lack of air conditioning in the bedroom which made for an uncomfortable sleep during a heatwave. Other than this, the hotel was PERFECT and I would recommend to absolutely everybody.

Excellent getaway
We spent two wonderful nights at the Clandeboye Hotel. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. The decor and very impressive and modern. The food for both breakfast and dinner was of a high quality. It is perfect for a couple of quiet relaxing days.
Michelle
It’s a lovely hotel just to chill with nothing to do. Bed was very comfortable and rooms were spacious.
Dinner was beautiful, only disappointment was at breakfast. Service was slow as they needed more staff, had to ask to things several times

Enjoyable stay
Enjoyable stay, friendly staff and good facilities, also a wedding venue but no issues with noise when one is up and running. Plenty of parking. Restaurant busy and good choices.

Excellent hotel!
We attended a wedding & stayed overnight. Everything was excellent from the welcome at Reception to the food, room comfort & service. The hotel is set in a very quiet & picturesque location yet convenient to the main road for travelling. The hotel decor & grounds are stunning & immaculate.

Stayed here for a wedding. The rooms, particularly the ultra luxe suite were fabulous. They were spacious and comfortable. The staff were all exceptional, particularly the hotel staff who were all very helpful. I found the bar staff at the function to be slow and inexperienced. The breakfast was exceptional, excellent variety and quality and a lovely setting.

Four out of five stars, mostly very good!
Stayed 3 nights - very comfortable bed, lovely chairs and furnishings but thought brown furniture looked tired. Tea and coffee making equipment appreciated, also ironing board and iron. Good room soundproofing and blackout curtains. Nice bathroom and plenty of towels, missed having hair conditioner in addition to shampoo, also body lotion. Breakfast was disappointing for the level of hotel - nothing was well cooked in the Irish breakfast, some items requested with breakfast didn’t appear, the yogurts were the best item available, thus my reason for four stars for the overall experience. Staff were helpful and polite. The hotel lobby is well laid out though when it’s busy, there aren’t enough comfortable seating areas (sofas) - not sure if this can be addressed. Lighting and wall art great, liked the bulls around the place! We were at a function in the hotel on Friday night, the food was very good and waiting staff exceptional.
Clifford
Brilliant stay
Brilliant stay staff really friendly
Sabina
Lovely staff and property but there isn’t a trail for walking or gym facility. Late night service can be better. It’s pretty away from things in general so your activities are limited unless you have a car. Enjoyed my stay overall.

The Clandeboye
Was there for a wedding. The venue and property is so pretty, the staff is great and so accomodating. The food at the coq and bull is very good. Pretty restaurant and great staff.
Martin
Very good stay for 2 nights whilst visiting family. The room was very quiet, well furnished, spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Just a couple of very minor points which would make the stay perfect. The first being please put mugs in the rooms for tea and not very small cups, the kettle also did not fit under the tap which is mad. Finally, it was impossible to take a shower without flooding the floor due to the location of the shower faucet and the size of shower screen. The hotel would be better to install shower cubicles (removing the bath) when the rooms are next refurbished.
Will definitely return as these minor points did not detract from what was otherwise a very good stay.

Positives: I wouldnt hesitate to recommend this hotel. Really lovely hotel. Immaculate throughout. Staff lovely, especially Maggie on reception.
Less positives: very hard to find any negatives but if I were to, it would be that the tea was weak, and coffee was weak and tepid throughout 2 day stay.

Buffs Big Day
Great stay everything was amazing for the long weekend and wedding , just a shame there was no air-con but as its Ireland and September did not expect 30c , just made sleeping hard in the loft room, but the newly weds had the new suite that was good to chill in with its 16c air con :)
Rich
What a beautiful setting. It's nice enough for weddings, of which this hotel caters to. The property is well maintained, and very luxurious. The restaurant is fantastic...lots of options, great tasting food and the servers were very knowledgeable and really into sharing their passion of each dish offered. The receptionist on check in made us feel very special by offering her advice on all the amenities the hotel specialized, as well as the surrounding area. It was a very pleasant stay and lived up to the previous reviews of those who responded.

A gem of a hotel. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Calming, relaxing and a great vibe. You can relax, work in the lounge areas, or go for walks around the place. Fantastic rooms and so quiet at night that you can actually get a wonderful nights sleep.

Excellent Establishment
It was simply a fantastic place to stay. The staff were friendly, efficient and everyone seemed to go above and beyond in all instances. Lovely grounds, buildings and atmosphere, all to be admired and enjoyed.
And I have to add, the food was simply and absolutely out of this world. Excellent restaurant and bar, morning, noon or nighttime again, always helpful and efficient.

Stay at the Clandeboye Lodge
Lovely room and food, however bedside lamps and phone extremely dusty, I was able to draw a line on the base of the lamp with my finger. Waiter service was very attentive on arrival, however when the restaurant started to get busy, it would appear that the hotel was understaffed as table service stopped.
A better choice of background music would have been more enjoyable as we heard the same tracks on a continuous loop, pre dinner and at breakfast.
Pleasant receptionist staff on arrival and departure, breakfast very good.

Lovely staff, great room, great breakfasts
Great comfortable room, loved the breakfasts. The staff were all amazing except the hotel manager whose customer service left a lot to be desired but that shouldn’t put you off. Really enjoyed the restaurant, great location, beautiful hotel.

Amazing hotel from moment walked in to moment we left we felt that it was special. Great use of space in communial areas open plan but each had its own area that still felt separate. The room was extremely comfortable and food both in the evening and breakfast was fresh plentifully and delicious.

Great stay
We had a lovely stay at The Clandeboye Hotel. The decor was lovely and the staff were fantastic . We enjoyed the food also and there was a nice atmosphere in the hotel in the evenings. The cocktails were gorgeous too. We did think it was unreasonable to charge £3:50 as a supplement if you wanted porridge as well as a cooked breakfast.
Angela
We had booked an overnight stay with dinner for a birthday celebration. We got a very warm welcome on arrive. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Will definitely return for a visit

Nice night away. Could be better.
We had a lovely night away. That being said it was clear more staff were needed for the hotel’s restaurant.
Service was slow at dinner and breakfast. However, the staff were always friendly despite them being run off their feet. Dinner was lovely, food great. Breakfast mediocre.
We stayed in a superior loft room; did not feel ‘superior’- equatable to a new premier inn with everything you need but nothing extra special. We had an enjoyable stay, would return, but will not be rushing back.

We stayed for 3 nights while attending a family wedding. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, the staff very welcoming and polite and the setting peaceful. However avoid the Coq and Bull brasserie. It is over priced and the menu limited and does not very. Drinks are also expensive. All in all a pleasant stay.

Highly Recommend
Stayed for 1 night in the luxury loft room. We had dinner in the restaurant that evening and were extremely impressed by the service and quality of the food and drinks. The cocktails were amazing and the bar man was excellent at helping with recommendations. Breakfast was also of a high standard and very peaceful to enjoy. The service throughout the hotel was brillant.I look forward to returning soon.
