Needs some paint touch ups, floor is warping slightly and headboard worn. Bed was v soft. Wierd single duvets rather than double. Location is v good.

We got family room no.101 wouldn’t recommend this room as front of building and windows stop zero noise form cobbled street when cars go down it . The extra late entrance keyed door is so stiff to open ppl sounded like they kicking it 4-5 times on way in and out very noisey always sounded like our door being booted . Great location for old town 4mins and room was immaculate

Golden Praha looks like a hotel, but it doesn’t fully feel like a traditional one. The location is amazing — you can reach Old Prague and all the main spots very easily. The service is simple, not like a standard hotel, but for the price, it’s definitely worth it. Overall, a good stay for what you pay.

Great value for the cost

If you’re looking for a great location in Old Town Praha that’s affordable and comfortable, this is it! The staff was very kind/helpful and we were greeted with a bottle of prosecco. The rooms were a good size, though not wildly big. We had a nice, small porch overlooking the street, which make for great views.

We didn’t love the pillows, but they have us extras to help. The bed was quite comfy, though.

If you have mobility issues, this may not be your place. There are steps you’ve got to take at some point, no matter where you go.

Our stay at The Golden Room Prague was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and a beautifully designed space that felt both elegant and cozy. The location is perfect—nestled in a charming part of the city with easy access to all the major sights, yet tucked away enough to provide a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring.

The room itself was spotless, stylish, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail in the decor made it feel truly special, and the bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep.

What really set this stay apart was the service. The hosts were incredibly responsive, providing great recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel right at home.

Clean rooms, regular cleaning if you wanted it. We found the walls to be like paper, could hear the people next to us, worst noise was the sound of people going in and out of their rooms and locking the doors. We found the room to be too warm, we were on the top floor, we turned the radiator off, had the option to open the window but that involved leaning over the head board and stretching to open it, there is an A/C unit but this only works during the summer. Area the hotel is in is lovely, short walk to the old town, felt safe to walk around.

clean rooms & very comfortable spacious bed. Room amenities were perfect for our city break stay. However, the safe in our room didn’t work, our room was right on the main staircase and was very loud when people were walking, there is no soundproofing at all (we had a deluxe balcony room).
The area is lovely and has good cafes surrounding. Close to transport stops.
This wasn’t an issue for us, but it should be noted that this hotel is NOT wheelchair accessible.

It was overall a great experience! We enjoyed our stay.
Pros: great hot and powerful shower, fantastic location for the river, old town and christmas market, hotel staff very helpful and friendly
Cons: car alarm went off for 1 hour one night (not their fault, but limited soundproofing and had to use headphones), bed and pillows were extremely soft (we prefer firm but again personal preference).

Overall lovely boutique hotel and would stay again!

The place and room was neat and clean. The location is very convenient, within Jewish Quarter and just steps away from Old Town. The morning staff was also friendly and very helpful.

The only hiccup we had were 1) Lift was available but it only takes you to the middle of the floor and there are still stairs to head up to your room (for every level). 2) The doors have keys (instead of key card) and it was sometimes difficult to unlock the door.

We loved that it was in a lovely area, surrounded by beautiful designer shops and lots of trees, thankfully the building had a lift as we were on the 6th floor in the attic area, nice big room and bathroom, the room appeared clean, it was October but still warm outside and the room became hot as the air conditioner wasn’t working,

We didn’t like the bed or pillows, very cheap flat pillow and only one each, the sheets were too small for the bed as was the quilt and cover, we had 2 separate single quilts on a large double bed, quite bizarre, i had to keep trying to pull the bottom sheet over the mattress protector, the mattress protector had seen better days it had black bobbles over it not very nice.

We loved our visit to Prague and this place we stayed was so convenient, its a shame that they don’t do breakfast as that was not an easy find for us every day,

the staffs were not so friendly...as hotel receptionists, that is not a good thing. We got the room that is just right adjacent to the lobby, which was like an underground floor next to some sort of back alley? We could see people talking and smoking outside of the window that were located in the higher parts of the room. Also it was deadly hot when sleep, because they only had one fan during the hot summer. (and couldn't keep the window open because we were on the first/underground floor.

No parking though if you drive, but they have kinda arrangement with a parking facility 10 min walk away; you negotiate and pay at the hotel & park your car there. Staff is very helpful & friendly. Wonderful helpful lady at reception. We had double bed top floor/attic room. It was stylish and modern in decoration, really comfortable bed, ac was great, shower pressure fantastic and overall very clean. It’s so close to the main square yet far enough where it’s quiet. Not really great for people with mobility issues as there are steps to get down into the reception and up to the elevator. Walls and doors are on the thin side so you can hear your neighbours and people moving about the hallway. Elevator doesn’t open directly onto your floor, it opens to a landing between floors with a flight of stairs to the floor above or below. A could be an issue for people who find stairs difficult. Elevator was clearly a new addition to an older building. Lots of lovely brunch places are dotted around the immediate vicinity such as Nostrum or Food lab which locals use, away from the busy old town square. I would book this hotel again

The hotel was lovely, great location.
The only disadvantage was the experience with the checkout. The receptionist was extremely rude when we said we had accidentally left the key inside the door and they asked us to pay a £35 fee.The doors havent got door handles that worked so could not get back in.

October 2023. I very much enjoyed my stay a nice clean room, 5 minute walk to the Astronomical Clock and 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge, plenty of eating and drinking establishments for all tastes and access to public transport close by. Would definitely book there again

There was a strike at the airport at my next destination so I needed to check yeti days early to avoid getting stuck. The hotel refused to reimburse me!!!

Love the Location

The key lock to the room is very difficult to open, which created a lot of noise when people try to open the door. The mattress is a bit soft. Apart from that , the location is the best for everything. The place is very clean and cheap to stay. All in all Love. Will recommend for all to stay here.

Don’t do it!

We toured five countries on this trip and this room was the worst! The hotel was down a 1 way street with no parking to check in or unload and then we were told that the parking they said they have for us was across town. Supposedly it was an 8 minute walk! Don’t believe them! Especially if you have someone in your party who is semi disabled. The room was either freezing cold or so hot you can’t sleep! Nobody at the front desk can or would give any information. It was disappoint to say the least. We had to drag our luggage from across town at the parking garage which we had no access to. When we got back to the hotel with our luggage, we had to carry them up stair to the elevator and from the elevator as it only stoped between floors!

We had an amazing stay! The only down side was that the elevated inly started on the second level so we had to carry our bog suitcases up the flights of steps. Also, we had a two bedroom and it was very small. No room to open all of our suitcases. Otherwise it was wonderful clean and pretty

Great location. Rooms have high ceilings and skylights. Be prepared to walk up at least two flights of stairs with your luggage - the elevators open on landings between each floor. Also, be prepared to learn how to use keys that don't quite work - a lot of pushing or pulling on the door to get it to open.

Great Value - Amazing Location and Experience

This was probably my favorite hotel room of my stay. Although it was fairly inexpensive, it was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the WiFi was great. Also, the location was supurb - I was in the middle of the Jewish quarter and maybe two blocks to old town. It would be hard to do better than this!

Location of the hotel is amazing just near the downtown, the touristic areas and quiet. The interior is obviously new and nice.
No room service as they don’t have a kitchen or restaurant to serve, so I believe adding this service would be an add value to the hotel.

Nice decor in the room & nice location, within 10-20 minute walk of sights. Glad that we were able to leave our luggage in the lobby until our transportation so that we could explore Prague a bit more. Check in was awkward as the receptionist bypassed us to check in the people behind us, then didn’t tell us anything about how the keys work, like that the front door to the hotel would be locked when we got back from dinner so we were stuck trying the keys on the wrong door until someone walked by finally and told us there was a side door we could use. Or what the wifi password was. There was a bit of a bug problem in the room with tiny gnat things attracted to the lights, plus no A/C, but it was cool enough so it didn’t matter. Another odd thing was the elevator stopping between floors, so you still have to bring your suitcase up some stairs. Probably would not stay here again to be honest.

Good Stay, Convenient for Tourism

Great service, everyone was so kind! There is a mini fridge and Nespresso which was absolutely necessary with our long days on our feet. The bed was extremely comfortable, water pressure was great, and the room although small, had a great view and the space was well utilized. They held our luggage both before and after check in which was extremely helpful.

The location was great for touristic activities and amazing food. Be aware that the public transit was about 8 min of cobblestone which was a bit much with our tired legs and huge backpacks. We opted in for a Bolt as they are ridiculously cheap in comparison to our American equivalent Uber and Lyft. Also, there were only 6 nespresso pods, with a 3 day stay it was not enough for us. They didn't have any extra to offer so we ended up walking to the Nespresso store (3 min walk) to purchase more.

The Perfect Hotel

Stayed for just 2 nights in March had booked a double too. But got given a room that had 2 bedrooms! The rooms were perfectly kept and immaculate. Location was fantastic with just a 5 minute walk to the main square

Excellent location, less than 10mins from the metro, less than 10mins into the old town square and so pretty close to everything really. It’s Still a new property and it’s well maintained & very clean.
Maybe a kettle in the room will be good as there is only an Nespresso.
Also on my check in, the lady who served me did not give me much information. However as I was checking out, the lady on reception that day - Linda, I could hear her giving a lot of information to those checking in, telling guests who were checking in what’s charged for in the room, which other doors they could use to come in or go out, what you could use for free- eg I didn’t know I could use the Nespresso for free etc, or at least put signs / note in the room , same as for the bottle of tap water as some restaurants in Prague charge you for tap water. So just those little details but overall I had a wonderful stay. Bed was comfy but pillows were ok-ish. Excellent on cleanliness. & Linda keep smiling

Amazing location and found staff to be very, very helpful! The hotel, I assume, is new as there was a lot of work going on to install a lift. This work never ever disturbed us! Would stay here again if we are ever in Prague.

The property was in a great location and check-in was very easy. The rooms were also a nice size and were clean and had nice finishes. The downsides are that the walls are incredibly thin and you can hear all of the noises in the hallway and in other rooms.

A great stay! The hotel is in a spot on location for access to the old town and the bridges to the other side of the city which makes this area nice and quiet but 5 minutes walk to all the things you need. The reception and rooms are spotless and the staff are friendly. Overall nothing I would change, just book it!

Loved the location of the accommodation. Very central to transport market sq and all the sights. Plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Didn’t like the fact that they were installing a new lift in the accommodation and a lot of building banging and clattering early in the morning. Also some of the cleaning staff were noisy early in the morning too
