Spotlessly clean and very comfortable room. Remarkably quiet location slightly away from the bustle.

Nice place.

Billy, the desk clerk, was very helpful with tips about the area and directions, etc. Our room was nice. I think they were doing some extra cleaning and had taken the curtains out of our room for cleaning, so we had nothing to cover the windows at night. The breakfast was delicious and a great variety of food. The hotel is one block from the river and within walking distance of Prague Castle and the Old Tower Bridge. We would stay here again.

Mixed results

Boutique hotel close to sites in Jewish Quarter and to nice restaurants. Short walk to river front. We stayed for two nights. Hotel staff were very helpful when called upon. Breakfast was good and filling with a nice selection . Our room was just adequate...two twin beds that were comfortable, but the hotel air conditioning was in need of repair (room setting couldn't go lower than 78 degrees fahrenheit. We found it to be uncomfortable but not unbearable with summer temps in the high 80s) and we had to rely on open windows during both of our nights. We were assured that the problem was going to be fixed next week, but of course we would be gone by then. Signs of wear in the room: torn decorative pillow, frayed carpet, possible mold on shower floor. These are minor issues that management should have been aware of and attended to. Absent these issues, I would have rated Caruso at 4 or 5 stars for its location, old world charm and moderate price for the area.

This is a gorgeous old building near the Jewish Quarter and steps away from shops, restaurants, and beautiful architecture. The staff were amazing and helpful. The only reason we didn’t give it five stars is because it is right next door to a club and the thumping music and drunken guests moaning were very unpleasant. Otherwise it was a terrific stay. Delicious breakfast!

The hotel was very nice. Facilities very clean /comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Billy when we checked in. He made us feel very welcome and offered us a refreshment while we were being checked in. The breakfast was also good, a selection of sweet and savoury with a good window to attend (7:30-10:30). It was a 10 min walk to the centre but also a nice quite area of old town and very close to the castle. There are also some excellent restaurants a few minutes walk away too. Would definitely recommend the Mexican restaurant round the corner (la casa blu).
Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I made an online reservation more than a month in advance and then, 3 days before my visit, I received an email cancelling the reservation for “technical” reasons, with no further explanation or any offer to help find another hotel. I am 69 years old and this has never happened to me before. So I give this hotel an F.

Truly n amazing hotel with a wonderful staff. I booked. a suite and the AC was not working well so they upgraded me immediately to the Penthouse Suite with an outdoor terrace. The room was spacious the staff was so friendly. The staff treated me as if I were family and wanted to help as much as possible. I especially want to call out Billy at the front desk who went above and beyond for me to make my stay so pleasant. THANKS!
The hotel's location was walking distance to every attraction that I wanted to see in Prague.
Although I did not eat the breakfast (I'm Kosher) I did go downstairs to see and it was presented beautifully and looked plentiful and tasty.
Truth be told I was planning on staying at the Four Seasons and switched to Caruso. I was not sorry that I did, I am very happy that I switched. I had a great stay.
One piece of advise I would give the hotel is to provide tissues in the room. There were no tissues and I had to use toilet paper to blow my nose. Otherwise a perfect 10 on all fronts.

de bons restos pas loin (notamment un géorgien très bon), et une superette au pied de l'hotel.
Chambre grande, très grand lit, avec télé et frigo, sdb ok.
Le wifi ne marchait pas très bien mais on ne l'a pas trop utilisé.
Très bon petit déjeuner avec du choix : salé, sucré, chaud et froid.
Personnel très serviable. Une personne parle français au petit dej.

Our room was clean, beautiful and looked like a fairytale dream. The breakfast spread was delicious and plentiful. Even the key to our room was cute. But the most fantastic part of our stay was the front desk staff. When it was raining, they gave us an umbrella. When we needed directions, they had a map ready for us. Anything questions we had, they had the answer to. They were calm and helpful during a crisis. I will treasure my stay at Hotel Caruso forever. If I am ever in Prague again, I will stay there.

We chose this hotel because of the reviews on trip advisor and were delighted to find that it is as lovely as people say.
The hotel is just outside of the hustle and bustle of Prague but it only takes a 2 minute walk before you are right in the thick of all the action. It was so nice to have a city break that was close enough to walk everywhere yet be quiet enough for a good nights sleep.
Hotel Caruso is clean and the staff are friendly, the breakfast is adequate.
All in all we had a fantastic few days down would stay here again if we come back to Prague.

I would not call this hotel \"Boutique\", it is a hotel like most others and lacks atmosphere. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly. The bar is limited and in the lobby so it feels like a waiting room. The room itself was large with WiFi and Mini bar, There were no extra blankets and in December the bedding provided was not exactly warm enough. The bathroom was OK but a shower over a bath is IMO so out dated. The toiletries and the towels are of poor quality , and the paper hard. Our room was not cleaned daily and at 5 pm the maid came to the door to ask if we needed it cleaning, by this time we had returned to the room and wanted to relax. The breakfast room is small and overcrowded until 10 am, but plenty food on offer. Overall I do not think this hotel is good value for money despite being within walking distance to the old town and river.

It’s was a nice hotel with good service, the only thing that was bad that when I order the room you have option to send massage to the hotel I send to them that it’s going to by out honeymoon and if they can organize the room nice, not that they not organized the room they give us to single bed and not 1 double bed. When I ask from the lady in the reception if she can do something about that she was a little bit rude.

Perfect place if you just stay a couple of days. Close to everything (maybe 5 min walk to old town hall, charles bridge etc.). Staff was nice, room was clean and look nice. The bathroom tub wasnt big, a shower would be better. The breakfast isn't a big deal, but you could find something to eat. The size of the breakfast area was very small so it was best to eat earlier or else you were waiting for a table.

5 Nights in Prague

We were in Prague for business. This hotel was close and convenient to the conference. The room was quite large in comparison to other European locations we have visited. The breakfast was a nice addition in the morning. Our room was quiet, clean and cool. All huge factors for a long visit like ours. Additionally, once checked in, we were able to walk or take the Metro everywhere. We would definitely stay at this property again and recommend it to others as well.

It was terrible

We chose the hotel based on the reviews, and it was a complete mistake. The temperatures were 27 degrees and over in Prague, and the room airconditioning didnt work, remaining at 24 and above all the time, and the room was fairly stuffy. The temperature seemed to be set by some mechanism at the reception and the receptionist (the only person available to speak to) told us he couldnt help as too many people were using the cooling system. The manager was variously reported to be sick, busy with family business, out for the weekend, etc., in any case we never saw him/her all the time we were there. We were booked for 5 nights, but could only stay for three, with no refund, and had to find other accommodation at short notice and at a far higher rate.

Additionally, the taxi the hotel booked to meet us at the airport didnt turn up, and after waiting for 40 minutes we had to hunt for a local taxi to take us to the hotel - no explanation or apology from the hotel. The toilet seat was cracked and the tub drainage was very slow.

While the local area is charming, the hotel is next door to a stag outfit called the Drunken Monkey which organises pub crawls, and all the charm disappeared with the endless beer bikes, and loud drunken obscene singing late into the night, which a local shopowner termed 'disgusting'.

While the staff were friendly and tried to be helpful, there seemed to be little they could do in the absence of support from management.

Note the room sizes when you book!

This was a very decent hotel, small but pretty good service considering its size. The only thing I would warn about is be careful what size room you are booking! I had to book quickly and didn't look closely enough. Pictures on the website reflect a pretty standard \"American hotel room\" of about 275 sq. ft. and a price of $113/night. However, what I actually booked was a very tiny \"single room\" with one twin bed and barely enough room to lay out your suitcase. When I realized my mistake the hotel was sold out and I was stuck with this pre-paid room. I wasn't very happy. Other than that the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was an adequate size, the room was very clean and nicely decorated. Hotel service was good. When I had trouble with the thermostat they came right up to help. Breakfast buffet was quite good with a wide variety of choices. The location was good, but felt just a little bit creepy after dark and 10 minutes walk from the Staromestska metro stop. Overall I would recommend this hotel as a good value.

Hotel Caruso is in an excellent location. It is a short walk to the main square, and a short walk to the river, where we took a 2 hour cruise. It is conveniently located, but quiet. The breakfast was included, and there was a large selection of foods. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was large. I would definitely stay there again!

Everything was great about this stay, the location was good just enough outside old town square that it was quiet but a quick 7 minute walk to arrive there. The included breakfast was delicious and had plenty of choice, bed was comfy with large pillows. Would defiently stay again when I return to Prague!

Stay at the Hotel Caruso

The service is outstanding, the ambiance classy, the breakfasts are superb. It is located close to the Vltaka River, and the Central Old Town Square. I had an outstanding experience staying at the Hotel Caruso for 10 nights. It was what I would consider to be a boutique hotel. It felt like home for me.

Nice place in the center of it all

The hotel is quite nice, although it is a bit old for my personal taste and the personnel didn’t seem very enthusiastic about their job. The breakfast that was included was what you could expect from a normal hotel breakfast. The real highlight of the hotel was the location from where you step straight out into the old town where you can easily find great bars and restaurants, but you have to watch out for all the tourist traps that comes with the territory

The hotel was in a great location without being in a busy area. Walking distance to most things. Good size room with a large single bed. Overall it is a good hotel, but there could be more attention paid to the details - real juice at breakfast instead of watered down, better quality toiletries, some soundproofing to the rooms - just little things.

Extremely pleasant stay at the Hotel Caruso.

This was a very nice Boutique Hotel and in an ideal location. I found the staff extremely helpful and managed to visit restaurants and classical concerts, with their assistance. I particularly enjoyed the breakfasts, which were always replenished and I was extremely grateful to receive a freshly cooked omelette each morning.

Hôtel très proche des différents lieux touristiques. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié. La possibilité du transfert depuis et vers l’aéroport est appréciable (environ 35 euros par véhicule).
Le personnel est souriant et à votre écoute

Veldig fin beliggenhet og god frokost (intim frokostrestaurant).
Minus for at det var litt støy fra gata tidlig om morgenen pga. søppelhenting (hver dag!).
