We stayed here for two nights with our small dog. The property is pet-friendly and well located, just a 10 minute walk from the city center and the Christmas market. We also used the on site parking, which was very convenient.

The only thing that could be improved is including bottled water in the room rate. That said, there is a supermarket right in front of the hotel, where for less than the price of a minibar bottle you can an buy a six pack.

We had a lovely 8 nights at the Diana Dauphine Hotel. A very warm welcome when we arrived and the breakfast team did a great job presenting and constantly keeping the extensive buffet well stocked. The rooms are spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The hotel is ideally situated for exploring the beautiful city of Strasbourg and all it has to offer. Plenty to see and do here, with the opportunity of trips put to other beautiful towns. We would definitely return.

Fantastic place. Beautiful. Great breakfast options. Close to everything but it’s a small town, not really difficult to walk. Big room and bathroom, loads of space. They had fresh flowers and a chocolate Santa for us our first night. The flowers lasted for our stay, the Santa not so much 😅

Amazing Christmas Markets Hotel

Hotel Diane Dauphine was such an amazing place to stay. The staff was great and accommodating, loved all the littles touches of having hot wine and gingerbread every evening and the breakfast aaa bar far the best I’ve seen at a hotel!

Was allowed to have an early check in and having requested a quiet room, couldn’t have been more delighted! Comfortable, cosy with lots of nice touches in the bathroom.

The bad:
Even though it is a plus that the hotel has parking available (costs 17 euros per night), which is ok because it’s difficult to find a parking spot in the city, the only problem is that the parking garage is tiny, and my husband struggled to park, almost damaged the car. So, be careful when parking and bring a compact car.

But all in all.... great place to stay, I would definitely wo back.

Do not select if you travel by car

Do not select this hotel if you travel by car. The parking situation is horrible. The hotel garage has impossibly steep and narrow ramps. The slightest mistake will cause damage to your car. It is impossible to enter/exit this garage without someone guiding you every step of the way. To make matters worse, the garage entry is right in front of the tram rails.

This is an old hotel with old infrastructure made over to look like a modern boutique hotel. For example, the elevators are extremely small.

On the positive side: The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. This is a good option for comfortable travel on a budget.

Very small elevator and staircases but the hotel was in an old building so there was not much room for bigger elevator or staircases. We made it work just fine with 2 large suitcases and 2 carry-on roller bags. Room was nice and bed was very comfortable. Parking is extremely limited (I could only see 3 spaces on-site for smaller cars) but public parking ramps were nearby (approx. 5 minutes walk). We paid approx. 20 Euros for 20-ish hours of parking which was pretty standard during our road trip. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived via car and had to cross the tram rails and park on the sidewalk in front of the hotel to unpack prior to parking the car (staff told us this was allowed and we had no issues with police when we did this). Within walking distance of sites in Strasbourg including the Christmas market (they were setting up when we were there) and the Cathedrale Notre Dame de Strasbourg. Close to motorways and approx. 10 minute drive from Germany which is just across the Rhine River. Large shopping center was a 15 minute drive south.

Nice little hotel

My stay was very nice. As others said the lift was the smallest I've seen. However, it beat walking up 7 flights of stairs. The bed was comfortable, the room was big enough even with our little dog. My wife enjoyed it and it was within walking distance of the Christmas markets. There were two tram stations less than 300 meters away. Across the street was a City market to buy food and drinks. The only negative was a lack of a bar or restaurant in the hotel. We chose not to eat breakfast as it would have cost 13 Euro per person and with all the choices in the area, it seemed stupid. would stay here again.

We had a great stay here, for a reasonable price. The hotel is right next to the old cemetery which was great, you could see some old tombs from the apartment window. The foyer area was well equipped and had excellent service. The one sore point was perhaps the painfully slow wifi.

Good location, but not the best cleaning lady

Everything was great, eg the location, the service. Except for the cleaning lady. We put the \"Do not disturb\" sign on the door as we want to sleep in. But she tried to open our door (but it was locked), so she called our room immediately, and even when my husband said that we were still sleeping, she knocked on our door again in 5 mins! All these, so that we get out of the room, so that she can clean the room! She even broke my Iphone charger while cleaning the room.

And a good shopping center (which isn't in the city center and which I forgot the name for) is also really close to the hotel.

Cosy hotel in Strasbourg

I stayed 2 nights. Convenient location. Close to the tram station. Receptionists were very friendly and WiFi worked great. Room was neat and actually larger than I expected from other european hotels of this price range. Only draw back is there was no hotel safe in the room. One problem I had was the door key did not work smoothly so that I needed to spend some time to open/lock the door. Elevator was very small but functionally I found no problem. Over all I am very satisfied, and would recommend.

Ordered online two days ahead. The reviews impressed me that this was a nice hotel.

The hotel was indeed nice, and everything was within walking distance. We got a room facing the street and it was a bit noisy. The room was not the most comfortable, there were two stairs between the bathroom and the main room, a source for night time trouble.

The initial impressions are disappointing. The hotel is tired compared with the photos and not that good looking. The location is not bad though but it is more scruffy than the central areas.
The staff however were really great, helpful and friendly.
The parking at the hotel is tight.
The bed was comfortable.

The staff was very friendly, and the room was very clean. The location of the hotel was awesome! Unfortunately, nobody mentioned the parking garage was ONLY built for cars. Nothing larger than a car will fit, leaving you to find parking elsewhere. Another con was the bed was hard as a rock! Didn't sleep at all! Oh and the elevator was so small only 2 people could fit into it without luggage.

Hotel Diana Dauphine - nice location

A nice hotel in Strasbourg; easy walk to the attractions (cathedral and surrounding area) and restaurants. Room was quite small but comfortable; lift so tiny only one person/one suitcase at a time. Garage nearly impossible unless you're driving a very tiny car -- we parked in nearby city lots, free until 9 am. Staff undermanned but friendly and helpful.

The Diana Dauphine proved to be a very comfortable hotel. Everything was to a high standard. We enjoyed the breakfast which offered variety and quality. The staff were friendly and very pleasant.
The location of the hotel is excellent for a tourist wishing, and willing, to see most of the city by tram. The centre is only 5-6 minutes away. We ourselves traveled to Strasbourg by Eurostar, we noted that the garage was a popular amenity possibly because the centre is extensively pedestrianised.
We booked on the basis of the Expedia ratings and were not disappointed in the least.

Good value, clean efficiently designed room, excellent, helpful staff who spoke several languages. Located on light rail line so it was easy to get to the train station. About a 10 minute walk to the old city. Rooms on the front of the hotel are a bit noisy. Comfortable beds & small refrigerator in the room.

Daphne Dauphine - the best kept secret in the world

The rooms were excellent, large extremely clean and ever so comfortable. The breakfast was great albeit expensive, but a great way to commence a day. The staff were wonderful until the morning I booked out and somehow a rotweiler had replaced the usual good humoured ladies. This hotel is very well situated for the traveller and the 3 stras don't do it justice.

J’ai été juste un peu déçue à mon arrivée le 8 Octobre vers 21h, l’accueil était en dessous de mes attentes: la personne qui m’a donné la carte de la chambre ne m’a donné aucune indications, ellen voyant que je n’allais pas au bon endroit, elle est finalement venue me dire que les escaliers pour accéder à la chambre étaient de l’autre côté.

Die Zimmer sind klein aber sauber, modern und gut ausgestattet. Das Personal sehr freundlich und bemüht. Gute Auswahl am Frühstücksbüffet.
Einziger Nachteil:
die Parkgarage ist seeeehr eng und flach (1,80m hoch), so dass nicht jedes Auto rein passt. Es hat 20 Minuten und 2 extra Personen gebraucht, um meinen Skoda Enyak 2 Etagen nach unten auf unseren Platz zu navigieren, ohne einen Kratzer rein zu bekommen. Das Auto hat den Warnton eines Zusammenstoßes als Dauerton gespielt, so eng war das alles.

Gerçekten çok mutlu olarak iki gün boyunca bu otelde konakladık şehir çok güzel merkeze yürüme mesafesinde. Görülecek çok fazla yer var. Otelin her şeyi harika çalışanları çok güler yüzlü ve özenli. Accueil très agréable.
Le problème est la location de la chambre juste au dessus de la rue dans lequel passe un tramway jusqu'à minuit et demi.Impossble de dormir même avec des bouchons d'oreilles.
Donc,demander une chambre qui ne donne pas sur la rue!

Je viens régulièrement à l'hôtel Diana Dauphine. Le gros point négatif de cet hôtel est vraiment le fait qu'il n'y a aucune prise de chaque côté du lit, il n'y en a qu'au niveau du bureau dont la prise est très loin du lit ce qui est vraiment problématique quand on a besoin de charger son téléphone la nuit et qu'il sert en même temps de réveil comme ça doit être le cas pour la majorité des personnes. Surtout que l'hôtel a été rénové très récemment, vraiment dommage...

Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Das Frühstücksbuffet vollkommen ausreichend (Klein aber Fein !). Die Zimmer sauber und angenehm. Von der Unterkunft aus kann man die Stadt Straßburg gut erkunden; ob zu Fuß, mit Fahrrad oder öffentliche Fortbewegungsmittel.
Ein kleiner Hacken war, dass unser Auto (SUV) aufgrund der größe in die Hotelgarage nicht gepasst hat... Es gibt aber umliegend Parkhäuser, wo das Auto untergebracht werden kann.
Die Unterkunft ist auf jedenfall weiterzuempfehlen !
