Check in start ok with I think her name was Angelina, but Vivvianna kept butting in and took over where she didn’t check her records correctly and advised that I hadn’t paid for my accommodation. I said that I had and she was rude and demanded I pay for the 1 night accommodation. After taking my payment, I asked her to check again and sure enough, I had paid for it. Now I am waiting for a refund, due to their error. This is the worst service I have received in our 6 week travels. Now the rooms, very outdated and too small for 2 people to shower and get ready. Only get 2 bath towels and a bath mat, no hand towel. As soon as you walk into reception, there is a very bad smell. This is one of the worst Ibis hotels I have stayed in. ***I do not recommend staying here***

Well located. It's an Ibis, so don't expect too much. Small room, needing some maintenance. Thought it was a bit rude that we had to pay extra to park our bicycles somewhere secure, the ONLY hotel in over 30 that we stayed in on our ride from Amsterdam to Budapest.

Disappointing.

The hotel room decoration looked tired and old. The room and en-suite bathroom was very small. Like being in a caravan. The room and duvet was too warm at night, so difficult to sleep.

Reception areas were well maintained. The eco friendly water dispenser was very useful.

The garden areas around the hotel were beautifully maintained. Staff were very helpful.

Berry dirty rooms. First room given wasn't cleaned and had to be assigned new room. Dust and spider web in corners of room, and stained lamp shades. Property only has 2 parking spots per staff and they are first come first serve. There is subterranean parking Uber hotel but it is public and you pay the public rate. Main lobby had foul odor. Only stayed because I arrived very late. Went to bed in my clothing and slept for 4.5 hours and checked out at 05:30. I couldn't get out of there fast enough!

Decoration and matetials date back from the 70's and look very cheap.

Not so nice stay in Strasbourg

The trip to Strasbourg was uneventful and I was looking forward to reaching the hotel but upon arrival I was bitterly disappointed. The room was small with an even smaller bathroom. The décor was from the late sixties to early seventies and the feeling was that this hotel needed a full facelift or to be rebuilt. I did not like it all. Staff we not pleasant either.

For the price it’s just ok. Very old hotel, the room was clean but not in good condition (you See That the room and the fourniture and the bathroom have Not been replaced in many years).
TV didn’t work from time to time. There is a Window you can cover in the bathroom and it’s freaky because people from outside could See you.
Overall ok for a cheap stay. Location of the hotel is quite ok too (we have no car)

Well located to Petite France and inner city even to walk. Hotel was clean - staff were very pleasant and helpful - bfast was ok but need to do something better with boiling eggs at bfast😡
Rooms were small so were the beds. Nil wardrobe just a few shelves for two people meant living out of suitcase for three days.

Great staff but can't say the same for the room

Hotel room is really puny so we had to shift things around to put one big luggage and one small luggage. Shower screen didn't really keep the water in, so the floor was always wet - something I didn't appreciate during winter. The bed was really a thin mattress laid on a bed frame but was still comfortable with the thick duvet.

Very good, well situated, quiet right next to the river for a nice walk. Food at breakfast very good, staff kept a constant flow no matter how busy. Had 3 evening meals good but could have been hotter.

The staff is so kind and helpful! Two things that took us three days to discover that would be helpful to others: 1) You can get coffee & croissant at the bar instead of full breakfast quickly and inexpensively. 2) The hotel is on the edge of Petite France and we walked close to 10 miles a day getting to the middle of town. We then discovered the tram station is across the street and very easy to use. We highly recommend this hotel!

Definitely would stay again!!

It was a really lovely hotel and the staff at the entrance were very polite and spoke English well. The only thing I’d change is that when you have a “Do not disturb” sign on the door after arriving late, maybe let us sleep in more than 09:30.

Did the job for my one night stay. Close walking to the Cathedral and all the tourist stuff; close to a grocery store to buy the wonderful, freshly baked french bread for under a Euro... room isn't the CLEANEST, a little hot - but no where near disgusting or inhabitable. Would stay again.

This Hotel is conveniently located, and has the amenities one could wish for. We dined in the restaurant one evening, although it was convenient after a long day of exploring the city, the food was rather disappointing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall a good place to stay, just eat elsewhere.

I’ve stayed here before... it’s convenient and good value. However this time the floor I was on was undergoing refurbishment. I asked whether it was safe and legal that the smokedetector holder was empty and was told it was fine as there were smokedetectors in the corridor. On reflection I suspect it was not fine... next morning the electrician showed up with a box full f detectors to fit. A temporary complaint but not happy!

I chose this hotel because it's A convenient walk from the train station and also a short walk into the old section of Strasbourg. It is a very comfortable hotel in a very safe area. There is a very good breakfast every morning and, Monday through Friday, there's a wonderful evening buffet at a very reasonable price. There is also a laundromat located about a three minute walk from the hotel-- which was very important to me. very helpful and friendly staff also.

OK but slightly odd

Basic hotel, unpleasantly bare (concrete walls painted garish colours, bare floor with no carpeting), bathroom so tiny that if I weighed 10 kgs more I wouldn't have been able to get to the toilet! Also horrific ''room for her'' painting on door -- is this an advertisement so predators know where to find victims?!?! Breakfast was pleasant, though, a self-service buffet with reasonable choices and quantities, and good fresh bread. Juice from a machine, not fresh, but overall like eating in a clean school canteen. Included in price so can't complain. Their version of room service is interesting too -- you have to come down to the lobby to collect it yourself, but I had an excellent steak and a huge portion of veg, with a decent béarnaise sauce, for a good price, in the ''comfort'' (!) of my own room. Miserable collection of TV channels -- almost all FR and DE, very little else (BBC World news, but nowt else in EN), but that seems standard in Strasbourg. Overall acceptable, but not pleasurable.

I've been travelling for seven weeks and this was easily the most comfortable bed I've slept in during that time!!
My final night, I ordered a meal at the bar, and when it was ready, one of the staff cleared a path through the hoards who had just arrived and set me up in the elevator.

Hotel staff are friendly, hotel is as advertised. It's a little ways from the center of town about a 15 minute walk. Breakfast was nice, parking was not good. Very little parking available, but it's nice that there are a few spaces. I would return.

On tram line to European Parliament.

We chose this one because of lowish price, and is on the tram line to get easily to the European Parliament area. Also next to good art gallery, the covered bridge, and convenient for Petit France area. Lucky to get one of only about 20 free parking places at the hotel! Rather small room but adequate. Good aircon. No fridge.

The hotel is overpriced when there is session of European Parliament (as all other hotels in Strasbourg). Room was tiny, I bought premium wifi but it did not work and I just lost money on it (they told me to call to some call centre - but I would have to pay for calling there). The breakfast was very poor, don´t expect even scrambled eggs. When I wanted to iron my shirt, they asked me if I need iron table (?) and then they gave me one which was dirty. I got photos of it, I even did not want to put my shirt on it. I will try next time to stay away from this hotel.

The rooms have been modernised and look fresh. The bathrooms are still slightly cramped, owing to the unusual shape. The corridors are a touch shabby, wifi was good. Parking is a problem though.

The room and hotel were okay, for the price. The main issue was that the double bed was two single beds pushed together, with a double bedsheet covering the two. So that was pretty poor, although the staff were friendly and Strasbourg is amazing.

Good Budget Hotel

The hotel has everything you need for a budget hotel, and is in close proximity to the town. A few odd moments with staff (like their walking into the room when still in bed on the day of check-out but much earlier than check-out time, and being met with a almost-rude \"What?!\" when I asked for an adaptor, which made me feel like I was a big annoyance to them!) but otherwise all fine.

We were very close from the city center: a short walk by the river. The hotel has a restaurant where you can have food for a reasonable price although maybe slightly expensive. The staff was very pleasant. The bed was confortable but the room was very small: the bed was against the side wall. Nevertheless, the price was more than satifying so we can't complain.

As a solo traveler, I cannot fault this Ibis. The room was new, clean and had great air conditioning. I had a very good deal for my stay
The toilet pan has had a few reviews and is very cramped.This is the only 'odd' fault. In addition, you only can only get BBC World in English on the TV. The free WiFi though was fine.
The lift requires your hotel room card to activate it, which is a good security measure.
Once you get your bearing it's just a 15 minute walk to the centre of Strasbourg. Local supermarkets are 10 minutes away in the direction of the railway station (15 mins walk). For the same deal, I would not hesitate to use this hotel again.
Better than any Travelodge in the UK; and I have used quite a few of these.

I booked this hotel for my mum and I after getting very cheap flights via Ryan Air. You can get a short train ride to the centre of Strasbourg from the airport, but beware that at night it becomes a replacement bus and everyone pushes to get on it. The hotel is then a 10 minutes walk down one road from the station. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are small but are clean and are cleaned daily. They have air con which was a saviour during the hot July days! There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room but there is a 24 hour bar and the hotel are fine about bringing your own food and drink in.

Reception is light and modern with a breakfast room and restaurant attached. We didn't eat at the restaurant as it seemed overpriced (and there is a great diner opposite the hotel) but we did opt to eat breakfast 2 of the 4 mornings at 9.90 euros per person. It is a great continental breakfast including freshly baked bread, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee. We also took enough for lunch too, so was well worth it. Breakfast is served from 6am until 10am. The restaurant claims to be open from 11am to 11pm but when we asked it shut after lunch until 7pm. But there ar so many beautiful restaurants around the area as you head to Petite France anyway.

There were a couple of problems regarding our key cards getting demagnetised most days and very small towels in the bathroom but for the price we paid, it is an excellent hotel. The drinks are reasonable too.

Perfectly adequate for a cheap getaway. Excellent location! Walking distance to petit France and central Strasbourg. The 10 bus stops directly outside which gets you to Gare central, so no need to get expensive taxis from the airport (E40!). The restaurant is very good, especially for a hotel restaurant.

The only drawbacks are the bed was rock hard, which was limiting for a 31 week pregnant side sleeping requirement. The shower was like safe cracking to get it to a normal temperature between scalding and freezing, however this really is minor quibbles especially taking the price into account.

Only one can say the breakfast is not that good, only to drink a cup of tea before starting work and the rooms are slightly smaller than expected. Also free parking area and free Wi-Fi.
