The location is perfect, a short walk to Petit France and super close to Strasbourg station which is very convenient for visiting nearly towns such as Colmar, Eguisheim, Kaysersberg and Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg. The hotel staff were very friendly and our room was very clean and spacious. . I'd highly recommend it.

Perfect place to stay!

This place is amazing! Huge room, friendly and helpful people at front desk. Very short walk to train station for side trips and short walk to town center for sights, shopping and dining. A/C works very well. We would definitely stay here again.

After a couple of 27c days room was stuffy and hot , air conditioning did not work.
At first staffed seemed willing to help and would have it taken care of while we were at dinner.
Well that did not happen and we actuall were told by another that this was a problem for several guests.
We were on a busy street so having the windows open even after midnight was too loud.
Never mind getting a good nights sleep.
Room was clean,good location to petit France.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Strasbourg! Small hotel and quiet. Very friendly staff. Was here for the Christmas markets and they gave us great recommendations. Very close walking distance to all the major sights. Room was very clean and spacious.

Convenient for Christmas market with parking

The location was great and the staff were very helpful. Our room was just very cold and for some reason the heating (hot water radiator) was almost cold and not working. Staff was helpful but couldn’t find any other room because they were full and gave us extra blanket but it was still cold till somehow at 3am hot water came back and was better. Assuming this was just a one off I definitely recommend the hotel.

Room not available at check in time. Had to come back and room was still not ready. Was offered coffee and then asked for money for coffee. Poor experience from start to finish. Upon check in room provided was a handicap room so configuration was odd. Handle to bathroom door was broken trapping in occupant until enough jiggling and movement allowed occupant to exit bathroom. Room hvac worked but must be dirty as or sinus would clog up in hotel and clear up when outside….

The hotel was absolutely perfect for our needs. We stayed one night to explore the Christmas market, which was a 10 minute walk. The hotel has been remodeled and they maintained the old-world feel. The room was so clean. The bathroom was beautiful. The staff were so friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel!!

Hotel was in a great location only a short walk to the centre. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Private car park is good but may be a little tight if you have a big car. Room was excellent, clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Would recommend staying at this hotel when in Strasbourg

Very very happy with my stay at the Best Western Plus Monopole! The staff were very helpful and multi-lingual, water was always available in the lobby, umbrellas were available to guests, as well as free bag storage. The AC in the room was quiet and very effective, blinds were completely blackout, and the bed comprised of two twin mattresses combined into one with two separate comforters - which we actually liked as a couple, no competing for sheets! We also found the hotel extremely quiet and clean. Slept like a baby. This hotel is also very easy walking distance to the tram station, the cathedral, and Petit France. Book it!

5 minutes walk from train station , 15 minutes from Cathedral Square. Room looks new, is spacious, comfortable and very clean. Bathroom is very spacious and toilet is in a separate room. Bathtub is too high to get in and out and is very slippery to step on. Shower is good. Water leaks from the bottom of the plastic shield to the floor.

Comfortable bed in a quiet area. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was easy to walk across the river to Petit France, the Cathedral and many Christmas markets. There was on site parking advertised, but unless you have a tiny compact car, you will not be able to park in the lot next door. It was less than ten minute walk to the nearest parking garage that could accommodate non-compact cars.

None of the VIP benefits were offered. The accommodations I were not prepared as booked. As light sleepers and with conditions which call for separate beds for a restful night’s sleep, the twin beds requested were not setup. It was a very unrestful night. The receptionist claimed the booking was for one queen. The reservation clearly had the option for separate twin beds selected. A VIP room on the first floor next to the elevator and the street. What do non-VIPers get?

We were traveling by train, and the hotel’s location was perfect — an easy walk to the station with plenty of food options nearby. The property was clean, well-maintained and comfortable, and the staff was outstanding. And, despite being in a busy hub, the room was quiet! That they had a great a/c only made our stay better! I would definitely recommend this property, and will staying here again when in Strasborgh.

good choice at Strasbourg

The hotel has an easy access from the highway, it is walking distance to the old part, restaurants, boutiques and the lights show at the cathedral during summer.
It does have a parking place on the same street and the hotel’s reception helps with that.
The air condition works very well, the bed, bathroom and minibar are very convenient.
As said in other reviews the elevator is small for large baggage, but my husband and I fitted both at the same time with our two suitcases.
We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, there are a lot of options nearby.
The city is beautiful and the hotel helps to enjoy it.

The staff was super helpful with directions and recommendations for food and shopping. They do offer parking and they even parked the car for us! The hotel was convenient for walking to many shops and restaurants the train station and also the cathedral. The only down side to this hotel is the tiny elevator so if you have a family or large luggage, might be a hassle but the room was very nice and spacious, no disappointment there!

Would highly recommend this hotel! It was very convenient to walk to the train station and into town where all the Christmas markets are located. Loved the large room with multiple windows with embedded stained glass. Bathroom was also large. Everything was very clean too. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful in answering any questions. Enjoyed the breakfast in the cute restaurant too.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. TV was a bit high on the wall, but if that's the worst thing I can say, then it can't have been a bad experience. Close to restaurants, the town centre and even the station. Yes, I know, being near the station is seldom a good idea, but in Strasbourg it was fine.

LOVED THE HOTEL, BUT NOT STRASBOURG:(

This was a great hotel for a 4 night stay during a heatwave in Strasbourg. A/C was a lifesaver! Room was spacious and comfortable. We actually liked the hotel more than the city of Strasbourg! Hotel staff were very helpful. One woman working the weekend shift was consistently a bit brusque everytime we spoke to her but Florence at the Front Desk was OUTSTANDING - she could not have been more welcoming or helpful:) I was concerned about the hotel allowing dogs because I am allergic. I had emailed my concerns in advance and upon arrival Florence assured me that our room had been especially cleaned so I would not be in any danger of having an asthma attack. We never did see any dogs in the hotel when we were there. Parking was close by but required us to be accompanied by a hotel staff member to get into the garage. Slightly inconvenient but we got used to it. We had breakfast one morning and it was lovely. Location was out of the fray of Old Town but an easy 10 minute walk to the center of the Old Town and about 20-30 minute walk across town. Would definitely stay here if we ever make our way back to Strasbourg but for us, the city didn't have the charm or allure we expected. However, Strasbourg is centrally located to visit the Alsace Wine Trail and the Marginot Line.
